July 8

2:27 a.m. – Bradley Marion Pugh, 29, arrested for first-degree criminal trespass and cited for possession of less than an ounce of marijuana, 4602 Airport Lane. Cited and released. Caller reported that a male subject was inside his home when the caller arrived. Male subject “is now on the floor,” after caller hit him with his walking stick.

5:47 a.m. – Caller reported vandalism to window screens, 600 block of Elm. Report taken. Damage estimated at $50.

8:43 p.m. – Kody Wayne Nunn, 23, turned herself in on Sweet Home warrant for failure to appear on original charge of first-degree criminal trespass, 1950 Main St., Sweet Home Police Department. Transported to Linn County Jail.

10:13 p.m. – Caller reported the theft of a letter containing personal information, 4100 block of Long. Report taken.

10:48 a.m. – Caller reported that someone took a cross out of her house, 900 block of 27th. Report taken. Loss estimated at about $1,700.

July 7

8:03 a.m. – Loyd Wilbert Head Jr., 57, cited for speeding, 59-45, 4900 block of Main.

11:58 a.m. – Caller reported that his drift boat and trailer were stolen from his driveway, 1300 block of 43rd. Report taken. Value approximately $500.

1:07 p.m. – Caller reported someone broke in and stole two gaming systems and other items worth $450, 1300 block of Quince. Report taken.

2:55 p.m. – Roy Dallas Belveal, 59, cited for failure to yield to a pedestrian in a crosswalk, 1600 block of Main.

7:07 p.m. – Kami Jolynn Quesenberry, 16, cited for failure to use seatbelt and driving outside of restrictions with provisional license, 54th and Poplar.

9:10 p.m. – Maylene Gale Flanigan, 44, cited for driving while suspended, Pleasant Valley and North River.

11:04 p.m. – Martina Sylvia Dextor, 43, arrested for second-degree criminal trespass, theft of lost or mislaid property and possession of meth, gravel parking lot near Main and 60th.

July 6

12:34 a.m. – Ryan Logan Binks, 20, arrested for third-degree theft in connection to a July 2 report at Safeway, 2405 Main St., Circle K. Cited and released.

9:16 a.m. – Kinnon Ray Slaughter, 49, cited for failure to renew registration and illegal display and alteration of registration plates, 2405 Main St., Circle K.

1:24 p.m. – Scott Selle, 28, cited for driving uninsured and failure to update information on license, Main and 46th. Vehicle impounded.

1:40 p.m. – Daniel Eugene Gibbs, 55, cited for driving while suspended and driving uninsured, Lakeside Market.

6:39 p.m. – Caller reported a building was tagged, 1400 block of Long. Report taken.

6:43 p.m. – Richard Burnside Jr., 22, arrested on Lebanon warrant for failure to appear on a criminal citation and Linn County warrant for unauthorized departure, 47th and Main.

9:31 p.m. – Amanda Louise Foss, 31, cited for failure to renew registration, 10th and Elm.

9:37 p.m. – Caller reported illegal fireworks, 800 block of Seventh. Officer unable to locate.

Boehm, 36, arrested for fireworks offense, 3224 Main St. Cited and released.

July 5

12:02 a.m. – John Mark Taylor, 33, arrested on Sweet Home warrant for failure to appear on original charge of second-degree disorderly conduct, 6000 block of Main. Cited and released.

8:22 a.m. – Elisha Marie Adams, 22, arrested on Sweet Home warrant for failure to appear on original charge of providing false information to a police officer, 500 Ironwood St. Transported to Linn County Jail.

11:06 a.m. – Trevor Alden Groff, 39, arrested on Sweet Home warrant for failure to comply on original charge of driving under the influence, Albany. Transported to Linn County Jail.

12 p.m. – Marcella Renee

McCarthey, 50, cited for careless driving resulting in an accident, 1400 block of Main. Officers had responded to a vehicle versus pedestrian. McCarthey was driving the vehicle. The pedestrian was Daryl James Burns, 20. Sweet Home medics responded, but they did not transport Burns to a hospital.

2:30 p.m. – Caller reported that a female just left with all of his belongings in her vehicle, 3000 block of Main. Report taken.

4:18 p.m. – Caller reported a cable line down in his driveway and sidewalk, 400 block of Juniper. Cable was a Comcast line and not a hot wire. Comcast advised.

7:17 p.m. – Caller reported a male urinating in the Safeway parking lot, 1540 Main St. Officer responded, counseled male and trespassed him from the store.

7:52 p.m. – Matthew Spencer Baird, 18, arrested on Sweet Home warrant for failure to comply on original charge of possession of less than an ounce of a controlled substance, mill property. Cited and released.

9:46 p.m. – Caller reported someone broke into her house and vehicle and stole her prescription medications, 2400 block of Main. Report taken. Medications valued at $3.64.

10:40 p.m. – Neil David VanEpps, 24, cited for illegal display of registration stickers, driving uninsured and failure to carry proof of insurance, 2405 Main St., Circle K.

July 4

2 a.m. – Dillon Kenneth White, 18; Christopher William Jurica, 18; and Jason Alexander Dodge, 18, cited and released in field for second-degree criminal trespass, 5350 Locust St. Caller reported that four subjects had cut a fence.

1:33 p.m. – Dustin Edward Shear, 23, cited for illegal use of a cell phone while driving, 1900 block of Main.

3:35 p.m. – Gay Lynn Wagner, 43, arrested on Sweet Home warrant for third-degree theft and failure to appear on original charge of providing false information to a police officer, Lebanon. Cited and released.

7:56 p.m. – David Deryk Herron, 34, arrested on Sweet Home warrant for failure to appear on original charge of second-degree theft, Lebanon. Cited and released.

8:51 p.m. – Graffiti reported on the back side of the Shell station, 1306 Main St. Report taken. Old markings had been crossed out and replaced with new markings.

9:09 p.m. – Graffiti reported on the back of Safeway, 1540 Main St. Report taken.

9:32 p.m. – Caller reported illegal fireworks, 900 block of 15th. Officer unable to locate.

9:34 p.m. – Caller reported illegal fireworks, 1200 block of 44th. Officer saw one go off but was unable to tell where it came from.

9:53 p.m. – Caller reported illegal fireworks, 12th and Tamarack. Officer observed only legal fireworks in the area.

10:05 p.m. – Caller reported subjects setting off illegal fireworks in the middle of Highway 20, 4800 block of Highway 20. Officer unable to locate any debris in the roadway, but several were going off in the area of 48th Loop.

10:52 p.m. – Caller reported illegal fireworks, 900 block of 12th. Officer unable to locate.

11:31 p.m. – Caller reported illegal fireworks, 1530 Tamarack St., Mountain Shadows Mobile Home Park. Office unable to locate.

11:55 p.m. – Caller reported illegal fireworks, 1200 block of 23rd. Officer unable to locate.

July 3

5:37 a.m. – Hailee Jo Smith-Daggett, 20, arrested on warrant for failure to comply on a traffic citation, Highway 228 and Long. Cited and released.

11:19 a.m. – Terra Sue Kopperud, 30, arrested for third-degree theft, 1530 Main St., Santiam Drug. Cited and released.

1:30 p.m. – Caller reported that a mower’s windshield was smashed while the driver was away for a bit, old mill property. Report taken.

2:52 p.m. – Caller reported her dog was stolen while in Safeway, 1540 Main St. Report taken.

5:38 p.m. – Caller reported a wallet left at Shell station, 1306 Main St. Officer seized item.

July 2

12:41 a.m. – Christopher Hoyt Cline, 20, arrested on Sweet home warrant for failure to comply on original charge of initiating a false report, Linn County Sheriff’s Office. Cited and released.

2:57 a.m. – Neil David Van Epps, 24, arrested for possession of meth and cited for driving uninsured and illegal display of plates, mill property off 43rd. Cited and released.

8 a.m. – Angela Annette Davenport, 52, cited for speeding, 58-45, 4400 block of Main.

9:45 a.m. – Caller reported that a customer asked her to call police because a male stole her purse, 1501 Main St., Speedee Mart. The caller left to find the male. Officer responded but could not gather further information because the victim left. Unable to move forward until victim contacts the police department.

10:25 a.m. – Caller reported that his spare tire was stolen from his truck, 1700 block of Long. Report taken. Tire valued at about $150.

12:34 p.m. – Caller reported he has video of female taking items she hadn’t paid for, 1540 Main St., Safeway. Report taken. Value unknown.

12:50 p.m. – Caller reported her grandson’s fishing poles were stolen from her shed, 400 block of Maple. Report taken. Property valued at about $190.

1:01 p.m. – Franklin Alfred Finnell, 51, cited for driving while suspended, 18th and railroad tracks.

3 p.m. – Caller reported a dog left in vehicle for 10 to 15 minutes, 621 Thriftway. The windows were not down far enough. Officer counseled registered owner of the vehicle.

3:16 p.m. – Caller reported three vehicles heading into Sweet Home at high rates of speed, passing each other and other vehicles in a dangerous manner, eastbound on Highway 20. Officer responded and counseled drivers.

3:59 p.m. – Carl John Eaton, 52, cited for driving while suspended, Main and Highway 228.

4:23 p.m. – Gilbert Alonzo Martinez, 37, arrested on Linn County warrant for probation violation on original charge of possession of meth, 1100 block of Long. Transported to Linn County Jail.

5:11 p.m. – Caller reported a male shoplifter, 1540 Main St., Safeway. Report taken.

5:48 p.m. – Laura Jane Mills, 47, arrested on Sweet Home warrant for failure to comply on misdemeanor driving while suspended. Cited and released.

6:22 p.m. – Robert Eddington, 39, arrested for unauthorized use of a motor vehicle, 48100 block of Cascadia Drive. Caller had reported a male subject in the park approaching a couple of people and asking if they wanted to buy drugs. They saw “tobacco” looking items. Deputy responded and located a rental car that had not been returned on the date it should have been. The female who rented the vehicle in her name said her boyfriend had taken off, and she had not seen him in three days.

8:44 p.m. – Vehicle versus bicyclist crash, 1364 Main St., Bicyclist Ellen Rosa Ayla Sandberg, 19, transported to Samaritan Lebanon Community Hospital. Driver was Michael James Macoubrie, 59. No citations.

July 1

5:39 a.m. – Jody Maruffo, 34, arrested for criminal trespass, 41800 block of North River.

6:34 a.m. – Caller reported the theft of a weed eater and 1 gallon of fuel worth $230, 4900 block of Airport. Report taken.

3:26 p.m. – Caller reported the theft of a bicycle worth $10, 300 block of Elm. Report taken.

7:35 p.m. – Bryce Taylor Keenon, 16, and Brice Chad Vandenberg, 19, cited for non-motorized vehicle clinging to motorized vehicle while operating, 60th and Main.

June 30

7:51 p.m. – Caller reported that someone broke into her vehicle, 44400 block of North River. Purse and contents worth $150 were taken. Report taken.

June 29

6:42 p.m. – John Wooten II, 21, arrested for driving under the influence, 40300 block of McDowell Creek following a single-vehicle rollover crash.

12:11 p.m. – Caller reported that someone had come across a male and female who said someone had slashed their tires, Green Peter Dam. Deputy responded. Suspect had hit the male with his right hand and then pulled a knife and slashed a tire, screaming that he would kill the male, according to witnesses, who also said the victim does not know the suspect. The suspect ran into the woods prior to arrival of law enforcement. Deputies searched the area but were unable to locate him. Probable cause entered for fourth-degree assault and criminal mischief.

June 27

12 p.m. – John McCarthy, 54, cited for harassment, 42600 block of North River. Caller reported his son was attacked a few minutes earlier following a dispute between neighbors. The victim insisted he was not on McCarthy’s property and should not have been touched.

June 26

4:36 p.m. – J.D. Stanley, 72, arrested for menacing, 1400 block of Clark Mill. Caller had reported another male pulled a knife on him. Caller reported the situation after ordering Stanley from his mother’s home. Stanley transported to Linn County Jail.
