March 30

2:26 a.m. – Ryan Wesley Sechrest, 33, cited for driving while suspended and driving uninsured, 1100 block of 26th. Vehicle impounded.

5:30 a.m. – Caller reported that someone broke into a vehicle during the night, 900 block of Timber. Report taken. Loss valued at $90.

March 29

2:08 a.m. – David James Kamarec, 24, arrested on state warrant for parole violation, 2400 block of Long. Transported to Linn County Jail.

12:07 p.m. – Caller reported the theft of two 5-gallon jugs of gasoline, 44700 block of North River. Report taken.

3:32 p.m. – Caller reported she purchased a vehicle from her father and now was threatening to take it back, 2400 block of Long. Officer responded. Vehicle was not registered to either party.

4:29 p.m. – Sunny Sky Stone, 47, arrested for strangulation (domestic violence), 1100 block of Poplar Transported to Linn County Jail.

4:37 p.m. – Caller reported that someone broke into her travel trailer and took several items, 4600 block of Main. Report taken.

7:30 p.m. – Kyle Alexander Richards, 26, cited and released in field on Sweet Home warrants for failure to appear on original charges of fraudulent use of a credit card, criminal trespass, two counts of third third-degree theft and second-degree theft, 26800 block of Scott Mountain.

7:34 p.m. – Oregon State Police reported a firearms denial at 1980 Main St., Bi-Mart. Report taken.

9:06 p.m. – Caller reported a small tree down, 42200 block of Ames Creek. Officer cleared the roadway.

March 28

3:29 a.m. – Michelle Leigh Melbye, 48, cited and released in field on Linn County warrant for probation violation, Sweet Home Public Library.

4:15 a.m. – Three juveniles referred to Juvenile Department for curfew violation, Main and 46th. Juveniles returned home and parents advised.

10:28 a.m. – Gilbert Alonzo Martinez, 44, cited by Oregon State Police on a Sweet Home warrant for failure to appear on original charge of second-degree criminal trespass.

10:49 a.m. – Caller reported two vehicles crashed behind Sweet Home Emergency Ministries, 1115 Long St. Officer assisted with exchange of information. Damages less than $2,500.

1:41 p.m. – Caller reported a neighbor yelling obscenities at him for being outside during the “shelter-in-place” order, 4400 block of Live Oak. Officer contacted the neighbor and advised him of the rules of the order.

2:29 p.m. – Caller reported that someone broke into a friend’s motor home that is parked on his property, 1300 block of 22nd. Information noted.

3:28 p.m. – John Martin Chel-stad, 53, cited and released in field on Lincoln County warrant for failure to appear on original charges of possession of methamphetamine and driving under the influence,1980 Main St., Bi-Mart.

4:29 p.m. – Caller reported a vehicle left while a gas pump nozzle was still attached, 1306 Main St. Officer assisted with exchange of insurance information. Caller advised of civil options.

5:52 p.m. – Crash reported at milepost 25 on Highway 20. No injuries.

11:32 p.m. – Amanda Leah Binks, 27, cited and released in field on Sweet Home warrant for failure to appear on original charge of second-degree disorderly conduct, 1300 block of 22nd. Caller had reported a male and a female inside an RV at a neighbor’s house. Caller told the officer that no one was to be in the RV. Male and female advised not to return to the property.

11:48 p.m. – Caller reported that the driver of a black Acura SUV was wearing a Michael Mayers mask and went into a store and then left headed east, 2400 block of Main. Officer located the vehicle and contracted the driver, who said he wore the mask into the business as a joke. Officer counseled him for the behavior.

March 27

7:46 a.m. – Caller reported a male walking down the railroad tracks dragging a bicycle and large box, railroad tracks and 9th. Officer unable to locate.

7:54 a.m. – Caller reported that he believes a neighbor threw a dead bird in a medical bag into his yard, 1800 block of Ulex. Report taken.

11:21 a.m. – Deputy located an illegal camp, 44900 block of Quartzville. It appeared to belong to a transient. No one was around. Deputy checked the camp a few times, but no one had returned. Depty to continue attempts to contact and have the camp removed.

12:38 p.m. – Joshua Kealohanui Leslie, 32, arrested for second-degree criminal trespass, 1540 Main St., Safeway. Cited and released.

1:08 p.m. – Caller requested a prescription delivery, 2200 block of Juniper. Officer delivered prescription.

4:17 p.m. – Caller reported that a white Honda sedan had been spray painted green in the pullout behind 6305 Main st. Caller was concerned it might be stolen. Officer checked the vehicle. It appeared to be abandoned.

5:10 p.m. – Caller reported that someone walked out with a bottle of wine, 621 Main St., Thriftway. Report taken. Loss valued at $10.49.

5:51 p.m. – Joshua Kealohanui Leslie, 32, arrested for third-degree theft in connection to the theft reported above, at 621 Main St., Thriftway at 5:10 p.m. Sweet Home Police Department attempted to lodge him at Linn County Jail, but the jail was unable to take him. Cited and released. Police had responded to a report that a male was being very aggressive toward a female, who seemed to be trying to get away from the male. The caller had reported the male was swinging at her and charging her like he wanted to body slam her.

March 26

1:51 a.m. – Caller reported that while she was delivering newspapers, a man in a white truck followed her and then he cornered her, asking her what she was doing while he held a pistol, 9th and Poplar. The caller said he left headed east on Poplar. Information noted. Officer unable to locate the described vehicle.

4:51 a.m. – Caller reported a possible burglary, 604 Main St., Dutch Bros. It appeared that someone had tampered with the register, and iPads were missing. Report taken. Loss valued at $2,139.

5:31 a.m. – Caller reported neighbors from across the street were knocking on his door and “cracking off shots,” 1100 block of Poplar. Officer responded but heard no shots in the area. The caller said it occurred earlier in the evening and he just wanted the officer to be aware.

9:34 a.m. – Detective found a bicycle, 610 Main St., Dan Dee Sales. Placed in found property.

11:08 a.m. – Caller reported that someone broke into and ransacked a classroom, 1641 Long St., Sweet Home High School. Report taken for burglary, theft and criminal mischief.

12:13 p.m. – Caller reported two vehicles parked on the street, one for more than a week and the other for more than a month, 1300 block of 45th. One posted for removal. The second was legally parked and belongs to a nearby resident.

2:09 p.m. – Caller reported that a male punched her in the face, 1300 block of 45th. Report taken for harassment. Investigation continuing.

4:03 p.m. – Caller reported tools stolen from a vehicle, 1200 block of 41st. Report taken.

5:07 p.m. – Caller reported that a male stole Powerade, 621 Main St., Thriftway. Report taken.

5:10 p.m. – Officer located a female stealing while the officer was on another call, 621 Main St., Thriftway. Store personnel decided to handle it.

5:52 p.m. – Brady Lance Petreny, 27, cited and released in field for third-degree theft in connection to the theft reported at 621 Main St., Thriftway, at 5:07 p.m. and arrested for second-degree burglary, first-degree theft and second-degree criminal mischief for the burglary reported at 604 Main St., Dutch Bros., at 4:51 a.m. Transported to Linn County Jail.

7:59 p.m. – Vehicle posted for removal, 200 block of Main.

March 25

1:19 a.m. – Caller reported a generator running at a neighbor’s residence, 2200 block of Nandina. Officer responded. A generator was running in the backyard. Officer attempted contact at the residence. No one answered. The officer turned off the generator to resolve the issue.

6:56 a.m. – Callers reported someone sleeping in a vehicle in front of the callers’ houses, 2000 block of Long. Officer located vehicle and one person sleeping inside. Officer unable to locate anything suspicious. Officer planned to check back later.

8:43 a.m. – Darrell George Berrigan, 47, cited and released in field on Sweet Home warrant for failure to appear on original charge of third-degree theft, 1600 block of Long.

3:38 p.m. – Tiffany Ann Persinger, 36, arrested on Sweet Home warrant for failure to appear on original charge of third-degree theft, The Dalles.

5:24 p.m. – Mason Milton Dalebout cited on Sweet Home warrant for failure to comply on original charge of second-degree criminal trespass, Oregon Department of Corrections.

March 24

1:18 a.m. – Jacob Mitchell Thurber, 28, arrested on Sweet Home warrant for failure to comply on original charge of third-degree theft, Albany.

5:30 a.m. – Bryce William McGowan, 36, cited on two Sweet Home warrants for failure to appear on criminal driving charges, Clackamas County Jail.

9:14 a.m. – Department of Justice requested that an officer attempt to contact a female who was buying copious amounts of cleaning products and selling them online, 900 block of 28th. Officer contacted the caller by phone. The caller had received information that the female was stealing hand sanitizer from stores and selling it at high prices, price gouging. Officer attempted contact with the initial reporter. No answer. Officer left message.

9:24 a.m. – Craig James Evans, 44, cited and released in field on Philomath warrant for failure to comply on original charge of third-degree criminal mischief, 500 block of Main.

12:34 p.m. – Caller reported a fraud that cost his business more than $5,000, 39800 block of Crawfordsville Drive. Report taken. Investigation continuing.

12:52 p.m. – Caller received a scam telephone call, 1000 block of Pleasant Valley.

12:58 p.m. – Caller reported a male was camped out in front of the building and she wanted him trespassed, 1111 Main St., Northern Investments. Officer contacted and trespassed the male.

3:31 p.m. – Deputy located a white sedan parked on land managed by Cascade Timber Consulting, 44500 block of Quartzville. Several areas in Sweet Home are experiencing forest product thefts, and CTC is not allowing any access. The subject had no good reason to be at the location other than he arrived to meet someone. He was the only occupant. Deputy asked him to leave.

5:31 p.m. – Caller reported that a male stole a bicycle wheel from her front porch, 3900 block of Osage. Officer responded. The tire was returned prior to officer arrival. Caller requested that the male who took it be trespassed.

5:41 p.m. – Caller reported that someone opened a Verizon account in his name, 2300 block of Cedar. Information noted. Investigation continuing.

6:15 p.m. – Bobby Lee Thornbrough, 27, cited for driving while suspended following a two-vehicle crash, 900 block of Main. Report taken for the crash. A female driver had a medical event that caused the impact. She was evaluated but not transported by medics. Parties exchanged information.

March 23

2:52 p.m. – Caller reported a bullet in a house, 24800 block of Brush Creek. Report taken.

3:38 p.m. – Caller reported that a neighbor had been gone for the previous three days and his no one was caring for the neighbor’s dogs, 3500 block of Juniper. Officer responded. The resident is in a care facility. Officer to attempt to contact a relative to make arrangements for animal care.

3:44 p.m. – Caller reported a tenant cut a hole in the fence, 5300 block of Main. Report taken. Investigation continuing.

6:19 p.m. – Caller reported that someone is withdrawing money from his account without permission, 1200 block of 4th. Information noted. Caller advised of options.

10:21 p.m. – Caller found a syringe, 2405 Main St., 7-Eleven. Item seized for disposal.
