April 12

10:18 a.m. – Michelle Kimberly Ray, 29, cited and released on Linn County warrant for probation violation on original charge of possession of methamphetamine, and Michael Scott Seiber, 40, cited and released in field on Linn County warrants for possession of methamphetamine, driving while suspended and failure to appear on multiple original charges, including unauthorized use of a motor vehicle, possession of a stolen vehicle, three counts of possession of meth, two counts of driving while suspended and possession of heroin, and Lebanon warrant for probation violation on original charge of third-degree theft, Pleasant Valley Boat Ramp.

2:54 p.m. – Jamie Daniel Carpenter, 43, cited for driving while suspended and driving uninsured, 1500 block of Main.

3:51 p.m. – Caller reported that someone dumped roofing in a driveway, 26500 block of Scott Mountain.

6:57 p.m. – Caller reported a female standing on the gas meter and trying to crawl up the side of the building next to Dairy Queen. Officer contacted the female, who said she would stay on the ground.

April 11

1:18 a.m. – A 15-year-old male and 15-year-old female referred to Juvenile Department for curfew violation, 1400 block of Long. Children released to older siblings.

7:06 a.m. – Caller reported a vehicle on fire, 47th and railroad tracks. Sweet Home firefighters extinguished the fire. Report taken for reckless burning.

10:33 a.m. – Cheyanne Ciera Baty-Skinner, 25, cited and released in field on Lincoln County warrants for delivery of heroin, manufacturing heron, possession of heroin, delivery of methamphetamine, manufacturing methamphetamine, possession of methamphetamine, possession of a stolen vehicle and providing false information to a police officer and failure to appear on original charges of possession of a stolen vehicle, first-degree theft, second-degree criminal mischief, two counts of unauthorized use of a motor vehicle and two counts of possession of heroin, 1300 block of Sunset.

11:09 a.m. – Deputy advised a transient male and a male and female couple to leave after reaching the 14-day limit for camping, 51400 block of Quartzville.

1:01 p.m. – Robert Michael Butterfield, 32, cited and released in field on Linn County warrant for failure to report as a sex offender and a new charge of third-degree theft, 1530 Main St., old Santiam Drug.

3:18 p.m. – Caller reported a female was camped out in the back parking lot, 1439 Main St., Rio Theatre. Officer contacted the female and reminded her that she is trespassed from the location. She agreed to gather her belongings and leave.

4:37 p.m. – Caller reported a small dog running around in the street, 1100 block of 22nd. Officer to watch for the dog.

7:06 p.m. – Caller reported a male was asleep in one of the storage units and would not wake up, 987 Nandina St., Nandina Mini Storage. Officer contacted the male. He left.

10:10 p.m. – Officer came upon a stranded motorist, Main and 18th. Operator was able to get the vehicle running. Officer followed the driver home.

11:01 p.m. – Officer found books at Sankey Park, 877 14th Ave., Sankey Park. Placed in found property.

April 10

9:33 a.m. – Deputy patrolled along Quartville Road. Deputy contacted several camps and posted a “no camping” sign at milepost 16 due to an increase in campers there. Deputy patrolled 7 miles up Trout Creek. Several trees were down. Deputy attempted to reach U.S. Bureau of Land Management lands near Bald Peter via MS300 but reached the snowline 2 miles from the peak.

10:09 a.m. – Deputy located an illegal camp, 47000 block of Quartzville, milepost 21. The couple was warned, and deputy posted more “no camping” and “no fire” signs.

11:17 a.m. – Caller received scam checks in the mail, 5400 block of Poplar. Check seized for disposal.

12:03 p.m. – Prescription delivered, 2000 block of 18th.

12:27 p.m. – Caller reported that a male who had been issued an exclusion notice was threatening to spit on people and he believed he may have COVID-19, 1200 block of 23rd. Officer contacted and counseled the male. The statements were made via Facebook and were hypothetical.

2:08 p.m. – Caller reported money taken in the previous 24 hours, 1100 block of 55th. Report taken.

2:42 p.m. – Caller reported a log truck went through the area and snagged wires, 1200 block of Nandina. Firefighters determined it was not a power line. Roadway cleared.

3:15 p.m. – Caller reported a female walked out without paying for items and then left in a blue SUV, 1540 Main St., Safeway. Report taken.

3:18 p.m. – Caller reported that a male subject was living in a black car that had been parked at the location for weeks, 1530 Main St., old Santiam Drug. Second caller reported a male from the black car just stole two items. Report taken. Loss valued at $10.

3:42 p.m. – Ashley Linn Estacio, 31, cited and released in field for third-degree theft, 1400 block of 53rd.

4:19 p.m. – Caller reported her vehicle was hit, denting her back bumper, while she was inside Safeway, 1540 Main St. Report taken. Damage less than $2,500.

4:31 p.m. – Caller reported that a neighbor’s dog bit the caller’s child. Officer contacted the owner and parent of the child. The child did not need medical attention. The incident occurred on the dog’s own property. No citations.

6:40 p.m. – Somer Renay Shaver Berry, 39, arrested for driving under the influence and reckless driving and cited for driving while suspended and driving uninsured in minor two-vehicle crash, Highway 20 and Wiley Creek. No injuries.

8:03 p.m. – Caller reported that a growing makeshift camp had been set up by the backdoor of Cornerstone Fellowship and garbage is being scattered, 1234 Long St. Officer contacted a male and advised him to move along.

8:13 p.m. – Caller reported that a crazy homeless female had been at the park all day and would only scream at the caller when he asked her to move along, park behind the Rio Theatre. Officer contacted the female and asked her to move along.

8:34 p.m. – Caller found an American terrier on U.S. Forest Service land past Miners Meadow off Quartzville Road. No tag or chip. Dog taken to Linn County Animal Control.

8:39 p.m. – Caller reported his brother tried to stab the caller with a knife and the caller wanted him to leave, 1900 block of Willow. Brother gone upon officer arrival. Report taken.

April 9

1:37 a.m. – Joseph Aldor Dunham, 67, arrested on Sweet Home warrant for failure to appear on original charge of third-degree theft, Linn County.

9:57 a.m. – Caller reported that someone cut the valve stem off her tire, 1530 Tamarack St., Tamarak Ridge Estates.

10:40 a.m. – Caller reported that someone entered an unlocked vehicle and stole items from the vehicle, 900 block of 27th. Report taken. Loss valued at $125.

11:40 a.m. – Caller reported that someone stole items from his unlocked vehicle, 900 block of 27th. Report taken. Loss valued at $30.

1:17 p.m. – Andrew Lawrence Smith, 31, cited and released in field for hit and run and cited for driving while suspended, 2000 Main St., McDonald’s. Debra Paulette Upton, 63, cited for permitting the unlawful operation of a vehicle. Caller had reported a vehicle hitting a parked car and leaving the scene.

3:04 p.m. – Caller reported what sounded like a gunshot coming from a neighbor’s trailer, 6200 block of Main. Officer contacted a male who was mowing and had hit a large rock.

3:19 p.m. – Deputy contacted a male at a camp near Boulder Creek Bridge, 49800 block of Quartzville. He had been sporadically staying on U.S. Bureau of Land Management lands in recent weeks. He was advised of the time limit on camping and given options where to go.

3:29 p.m. – Deputy contacted a couple camped at milepost 16 on Quartzville Road. They said they were unaware that camping begins at milepost 17.2, were cooperative and agreed to move camp immediately.

3:47 p.m. – Caller reported three dogs were in a vehicle with windows barely rolled down, 2414 Main St., Dollar Tree. Officer contacted and counseled the owner.

4:06 p.m. – Harold Highwood Tonkin, 90, cited for driving while suspended, driving uninsured and failure to register vehicle, 3100 block of Main. Vehicle impounded.

4:46 p.m. – Deputy collected an injured dog and returned him to his owner, 45000 block of Quartzville.

5:30 p.m. – Marshall Rogers, 35, arrested for trespassing, 43400 block of Ames Creek.

5:38 p.m. – Linn County Sheriff’s Office requested that an officer respond to the 43000 block of Ames Creek Road to check on a male who stated he had been stuck in the woods for four days. Officer assisted. Male transported to Samaritan Lebanon Community Hospital by medics.

7:05 p.m. – Caller reported that someone entered her vehicle during the night and took an ash tray and spare key to the vehicle, 2700 block of Foothills. Officer responded. Information noted at caller’s request.

April 8

12:15 p.m. – Michell Dawn Slay, 31, arrested on Sweet Home warrant for failure to comply on original charge of second-degree disorderly conduct, Prineville.

2:43 a.m. – Officer located a bicycle, Sankey Park, 877 14th Ave. Placed in found property.

7:42 a.m. – Steven Andrew Williamson, 51, cited on Sweet Home warrant for failure to comply on original charge of third-degree theft, Albany.

10:25 a.m. – Officer observed $50 cash falling from a bicyclist, 2400 block of Long. Property returned to owner. Bicyclist also warned for not wearing a helmet.

10:47 a.m. – Eddie Eugene Barnard, 54, cited for failure to drive within lane, 2400 block of Main.

11:01 p.m. – Caller turned in various cards found on the premises, 3041 Main St., Hoy’s Hardware. Items placed in found property.

11:10 a.m. – Scott Edward Bahenskyu, 63, cited and released in field for reckless driving, 6200 block of Main. Caller had reported someone running into his truck during the night. Damage less than $2,500.

11:42 a.m. – Blake Preston William Johnson, 18, cited for no license and driving uninsured, Mountain View and Jefferson.

2:30 p.m. – Caller reported items stolen from her unsecured vehicle and front porch, 400 block of Oak Terrace. Report taken. Loss valued at $200.

3:44 p.m. – Robert Lopez, 26, cited and released in field for third-degree theft, 621 Main St., Thriftway. Caller had reported thew theft of Stay Awake pills valued at $7 n March 28.

3:44 p.m. – Caller reported the theft of beer worth $4 on March 28 and butane, torch and lighters worth $10 on April 5 and Stay Awake pills worth $7 on April 7, 621 Main St., Thriftway. Caller had video of the theft.

7:01 p.m. – Caller reported a license plate stolen from a vehicle, 1300 block of Clark Mill. Report taken.

9:36 p.m. – Caller reported children were throwing items at the fence trying to hit the caller, 1900 block of Willow. Officer responded. Caller requested that the children be counseled. Officer spoke with the children’ mother, who said the caller had thrown water on her children first. Children returned home for the evening.

April 7

12:44 a.m. – Deputy seized methamphetamine during a traffic stop, 38400 block of Glass Street, Crawfordsville. Report forwarded to detectives.

2:28 a.m. – Nathan Daniel Brown, 45, arrested on Sweet Home warrant for failure to comply on original charge of second-degree theft, Albany.

7:48 a.m. – Caller reported that someone stole her purse from her vehicle, 1900 block of 37th. Report taken. Loss valued at $450.

8:32 a.m. – Kaleb Kimber Banta, 21, cited and released in field on Sweet Home warrants for failure to appear on original charges of resisting arrest and third-degree theft and a new charge of third-degree escape, 13th and Main.

8:59 a.m. – Caller reported that someone cut the chain to his wheelbarrow, 1200 block of 23rd. Report taken. Loss valued at $10.

10:29 a.m. – Zachary Gene D. Johnson, 30, cited on Sweet Home warrant for failure to comply on original charge of second-degree theft, Corvallis.

10:48 a.m. – Caller reported a gate taken off its hinges, 41100 block of Highway 228. Report taken.

11:18 a.m. – Kenneth George Adair, 52, cited and released in field on Lebanon warrant for probation violation on original charge of driving while suspended, Main and Clark Mill.

1:02 p.m. – Caller received a fraudulent check in the mail, 1100 block of 29th. Item seized for disposal.

1:35 p.m. – Timothy Paul Carr, 36, cited for careless driving and driving uninsured, 1950 Main St., Sweet Home Police Department.

2:35 p.m. – Caller reported a bicycle stolen, 43700 block of North River. Report taken.

5:25 p.m. – Kristopher Charles Garrett, 26, arrested for driving under the influence, reckless driving, three counts of recklessly endangering another person and first-degree criminal mischief in multiple-vehicle crash, 1980 Main St., Bi-Mart. Cited and released. Vehicle impounded. Caller had reported a pickup hitting several parked cars.

5:42 p.m. – Caller reported that someone stole the caller’s wood signs above the mailbox and put the numbers 666 into the gate combo lock, 42800 block of Upper Calapooia. Report taken.

5:45 p.m. – Caller reported that her husband was just involved in a crash, 1300 block of Clark Mill. Report taken. Damages under $2,500.

5:58 p.m. – Caller reported several transients were camped out on her property, 1266 15th Ave., ATF Services. Officer responded. A male and female were on property belonging to a nearby business. Officer contacted the property owner, who requested they be trespassed.

10:11 p.m. – Ladonna Gayle Bales, 44, arrested by Oregon State Police on Sweet Home warrant for failure to comply on original charge of third-degree theft.

April 6

9:01 a.m. – Robert Edward Hilliard, 50, cited and released in field on Sweet Home warrant for failure to comply on original charge of third-degree theft and Lebanon warrant for failure to appear on original charges of driving while suspended and a criminal citation, 31900 block of Main.

12:38 p.m. – Caller reported an aggressive pit bull was in her yard, 1100 block of 43rd. It was barking at her when she went outside. Officer responded. A neighbor assisted in getting the dog back to its own yard. Owner warned for dog at large. Owner to mend the fence where the dog was getting out.

12:45 p.m. – Caller reported a vehicle parked in front of the caller’s residence for three days, 1100 block of 1st. Vehicle posted.

2:49 p.m. – Adam Brian Lee, 39, arrested for strangulate and fourth-degree assault, 3100 block of Long. Transported to Linn County Jail.

3:25 p.m. – Caller reported a dog attacked her dog in the parking lot, 1540 Main St., Safeway. Officer contacted the owner, who said it did not appear that his dog injured the other dog. He had the dog on a leash when the officer arrived. Officer counseled the owner.

5:38 p.m. – Caller reported a motorcyclist had just crashed into his neighbor’s fence and then left, 200 block of Nandina. Report taken.

8:31 p.m. – Caller reported her neighbor’s dogs had been barking all day, 1300 block of Nandina. Officer contacted the neighbor, who agreed to bring the animals inside.
