April 17

1 a.m. – Terry Kim Nickell, 53, arrested on state warrant for parole violation and Albany warrants for failure to appear on original charges of second-degree theft and second-degree criminal trespass, 834 Eighth Ave.

1:52 p.m. – Caller reported a male sleeping on the bench at the Sweet Home Public Library, 1101 13th Ave. Officer contacted subject, who now understands that he is trespassed from the location.

April 16

8:04 a.m. – Caller turned in a found debit card, 2000 block of Main. Placed in found property.

9:37 a.m. – Caller reported a male was throwing milk on windows, doors and parking lot, 1400 block of Long. Report taken for criminal mischief.

10:41 a.m. – Caller reported a black German shepherd running loose, Grape Loop. Dog had escaped owners, who were actively looking for it. Dog returned home.

10:56 a.m. – Caller reported three dogs loose, and the owner wasn’t home, 500 block of 10th. Upon officer arrival, the dogs had returned to their yard. Officer left message with owner.

11:32 a.m. – Caller reported a male possibly sleeping in a power chair, 40th and Long. Officer responded. Male seemed OK and moved on.

12:14 p.m. – Caller reported her credit card was stolen and used, 1530 Tamarack St., Mountain Shadows. Report taken.

1:09 p.m. – Sirena Marie Patricio, 24, arrested on Linn County warrant for parole violation, 1530 Tamarack St., Mountain Shadows. Transported to Linn County Jail.

11:29 p.m. – Adam Joseph Harrison, 32, cited for speeding, 1200 block of Main.

April 15

6:58 a.m. – Caller reported his house was hit with paintballs during the night, 1300 block of Nandina. Report taken.

9:12 a.m. – Caller reported vehicles hit with a paintballs during the night, 4300 block of Main.

9:50 a.m. – Caller reported that someone in a white van just hit his vehicle and left without contacting the caller, 1980 Main St., Bi-Mart. Report taken.

3:49 p.m. – Jay John Baker, 19, served with a Sweet Home warrant for failure to appear on original charge of frequenting a place where controlled substances are used, Linn County Jail.

4:20 p.m. – Caller reported a male breaking into his house, and a second caller reported males fighting, 4800 block of Main. Report taken for burglary, unauthorized entry into a motor vehicle and interfering with making a report.

5:42 p.m. – Caller reported a small baby left inside a vehicle, 800 block of 18th. Officer responded and found a small doll inside a vehicle.

6:59 p.m. – Wesley Alan House, 33, arrested on Lebanon warrant for third-degree theft and probation violation, 1530 Tamarack St., Mountain Shadows. Transported to Lebanon Police Department.

7:06 p.m. – Caller reported a male and female panhandling, 621 Main St., Thriftway. Officer advised them to leave the property. They left.

7:35 p.m. – Caller reported unsupervised children throwing pine cones into the roadway at cars, 23rd and Long. Officer checked area but was unable to locate juveniles.

April 14

7:48 a.m. – Caller reported a transient sleeping in front of the old Jamboree Office, 410 Main St. Officer contacted the transient, who said he was trying to stay out of the rain. Transient left the premises.

8:45 a.m. – Caller reported two subjects sleeping in front of his business, 1119 Main St. Officer contacted the subjects, and they headed out.

11:51 a.m. – William Ernest Cockrell, 53, turned in himself on Linn County warrant for probation violation on original charge of possession of meth, 1950 Main St., Sweet home Police Department. Transported to Linn County Jail.

12:34 p.m. – Kevin Joseph Bachand, 43, cited and released in field on Sweet Home warrant for failure to appear on original charge of third-degree theft, 1950 Main St., Sweet Home Police Department.

12:47 p.m. Caller found an unsigned Oregon Trail card in an alley, 1200 block of 12th. Placed in found property.

1:05 p.m. – William Ernest Cockrell, 53, arrested on Sweet home warrant for failure to appear on original charge of third-degree theft, 1950 Main St., Sweet Home Police Department. Transported to Linn County Jail.

1:16 p.m. – Caller reported that his medication may have been taken on April 2, Sweet Home area.

4:30 p.m. – Justin McLaws, 27, arrested on Sweet Home warrant for failure to comply on original charge of second-degree criminal mischief, Lebanon. Cited and released.

5:53 p.m. – Jackelynn Rachelle Ryan cited for driving an unsafe vehicle in two-vehicle crash, 899 Main St. Second driver was Jenny Greer, 53. Report taken.

6:39 p.m. – Caller reported a man sleeping on a bench in front of the Sweet Home Public Library, 1101 13th Ave. Officer contacted male and asked him to leave.

10:20 p.m. – Caller reported someone shot his house with a paintball marker, 500 block of 14th. Report taken.

11:31 p.m. – Caller reported subjects in a white Honda Civic shooting paintballs at people and vehicles, 12th and Long. Report taken.

April 13

2:03 a.m. – Van Jerome Potts, 38, cited and released in field on Sweet Home warrants for failure to appear on original charge of second-degree disorderly conduct and failure to appear on original charge of second-degree criminal trespass, 1502 Main St.

8:47 a.m. – Caller reported subjects sleeping on a bench and drinking alcohol, 1540 Main St., Safeway. Employees asked them to leave, but they would not. Officer contacted subjects, who left.

9:29 a.m. – Caller reported borrowing a lawn mower, and then it went missing, 1530 Tamarack St., Mountain Shadows. Report taken.

10:26 a.m. – Caller turned in a driver’s license left at the Sweet Home Public Library about a week earlier, 1101 13th Ave. Officer attempted to contact the owner, but the phone number was no longer good.

10:45 a.m. – Caller reported a male subject calling and telling the caller that he put a virus on the caller’s computer, 500 block of Mountain View. The caller paid him to take it off, but he still hadn’t taken the virus off. The subject called and asked for more money. When the caller told him the caller wouldn’t pay, he locked up the computer, making it unusable. Officer contacted caller. The computer appeared to be hacked. Caller referred to Federal Trade Commission.

12:06 p.m. – Caller reported a male standing, staring toward Oak Heights School and talking to himself, Sixth and Ironwood. Caller hoped he could be asked to move along before school gets out or an officer could be in the area. Officer patrolled as time allowed. At 2:15 p.m., the subject was asleep on the church porch, Sweet Home United Methodist.

12:37 p.m. – James Andrew Linder, 27, arrested on Marion County warrant for probation violation on original charge of third-degree robbery; Albany warrant for contempt of court on original charge of third-degree theft; Lebanon warrant for failure to appear on original charge of second-degree theft and state parole board warrant for parole violation, 13th and Kalmia. Transported to Linn County Jail.

12:57 p.m. – Robert Kenneth LaFollette, 33, arrested on Sweet Home warrant for driving under the influence, Albany. Transported to Linn County Jail.

1 p.m. – Jacob Evans Tanner Watkins, 19, arrested on Sweet Home warrant for failure to appear on original charge of third-degree theft, Lebanon. Cited and released.

2:31 p.m. – Joseph Brock Umphress, 27, cited for driving while suspended, 1200 block of Fifth.

2:55 p.m. – Caller reported several abandoned vehicles parked on the street for more than a month, 1800 block of Kalmia. Referred to code enforcement.

3:41 p.m. – Caller reported several abandoned vehicles parked on the street for more than a month, 1900 block of Kalmia. Referred to code enforcement.

6:01 p.m. – Caller found a debit card, 1200 block of 23rd. Police seized the card and will attempt to locate owner.

6:20 p.m. – Caller reported that a male walked up to him and yelled in his face, 13th and Long. Caller kept walking in the opposite direction. Officer located the male and counseled him on his action. Male said he would be kind to people.

6:28 p.m. – Caller found a bicycle, Sweet home RV. Bike placed in found property.

9:40 p.m. – Caller reported that a male subject stole her checks and has been cashing them, 900 block of Long. Report taken. Loss valued at $361.

April 12

6:36 a.m. – Caller reported that her daughter told her another student has a list of students he wants to kill, Oak Heights Elementary. Officer contacted the juvenile’s mother. The list was only meant as a joke, and the juvenile did not understand the consequences of the actions. Juvenile counseled.

8:21 a.m. – Caller reported that subjects have set up a homeless camp behind Circle K. Officer contacted two males, who packed up belongings and left the area.

8:38 a.m. – Louis A. Carreiro, 52, cited and released in field on a Sweet Home warrant for third-degree theft.

10:44 a.m. – Caller reported that she left her property at location, 3100 block of Main. Afterward, all of the benefits were gone from her food stamp card. Caller was to fax transaction records to the police. Investigation continuing.

12:53 p.m. – Caller reported that someone left several backpacks and clothing in a dumpster, 1100 block of Main. Items placed in found property.

1:01 p.m. – Caller reported that his fiance’s dentures were stolen from their unlocked vehicle on March 29. Information noted.

2:07 p.m. – Caller reported a dog running loose, Long and Oak Terrace. Officer unable to locate dog.

3:18 p.m. – Two-vehicle crash, 610 Main St., Dan Dee Sales. Drivers were Sean Morgan, 44, and Donald Braaten, 80. Information exchanged. No citations. No injuries.

3:25 p.m. – Caller reported a dump truck caused potholes in his driveway, 4500 block of Kalmia. Information noted.

3:43 p.m. – Ashley Mae Waters, 26, arrested on Sweet Home warrant for failure to comply on original charge of third-degree theft, 1950 Main St., Sweet home Police Department. Cited and released.

5:14 p.m. – Sixteen-year-old male taken into custody for unauthorized use of a motor vehicle, felony attempting to elude, misdemeanor attempting to elude and third-degree escape in connection to a case on April 11, North River and Pleasant Valley. Transported to Linn-Benton Juvenile Detention Center.

6:42 p.m. – Caller reported her 6-year-old son is being bullied and came home with a big knot on his head, Foster School. Report taken.

7:31 p.m. – Caller reported that someone broke into his house and took several items, 1200 block of Wiley Creek. Report taken. Loss valued at $2,000.

7:38 p.m. – Kenneth Ray Faulconer, 22, arrested on Sweet Home warrant for second-degree theft, Corvallis. Cited and released.

8:27 p.m. – Caller reported her jewelry box missing and bedroom door removed from its hinges after she was gone for several days, 600 block of Mountain View. Report taken.

10:51 p.m. – Lisa Irene Giles, 50, arrested for driving under the influence in crash, 18th and Willow. Cited and released.

11:02 p.m. – Caller reported a bicycle stolen, 1540 Main St., Safeway.

11:29 p.m. – Jason Dean Smeed, 29, arrested for third-degree criminal mischief, 805 Long St. Cited and released.

April 11

7:18 a.m. – Caller reported a theft, 621 Main St., Thriftway. Report taken. Loss valued at $82.45.

8:16 a.m. – Caller reported a bike was left at Sankey Park. Bike placed in found property.

8:40 a.m. – Veronica Sue Szuch, 19, arrested on Sweet Home warrant for failure to comply on original charge of second-degree theft; Marion County warrant for second-degree theft; and Albany warrant for failure to appear on original charge of larceny, Weddle Bridge. Transported to Linn County Jail.

9:36 a.m. – Caller reported receiving a letter from the IRS stating that his identity has been stolen, 200 block of 18th. Report taken.

10:43 a.m. – A log truck lost a load of logs, Wiley Creek Road. A self-loader used to pick up logs.

11:36 a.m. – Caller reported vehicles and trash at location, 4600 block of Airport Lane. Referred to code enforcement.

12:21 p.m. – Caller, a postal worker, found two dogs that looked like they were in distress. They were in the middle of the road, 42500 block of Marks Ridge. The dogs were taken to Animal Control.

12:32 p.m. – Caller reported that his son was at a location in the 24800 block of West Brush Creek driving an ATV. The caller was concerned that he didn’t have his license and wanted him cited for having a suspended license and driving an ATV on private property. He was advised this is not illegal.

1:37 p.m. – Caller turned in a set of keys and a cell phone found in the 1300 block of Long. Placed in found property.

1:56 p.m. – Caller reported a rooster, 3500 block of Flanigan. Referred to code enforcement.

3:26 p.m. – Caller reported a hand gun was taken, 41800 block of North River. Report taken.

3:45 p.m. – Caller found a bottle of medication in the parking lot, 1641 Long St., Sweet Home High School. Officer seized the bottle.

4:48 p.m. – Caller reported a male took a vehicle without the owner’s permission, 800 block of 14th. A 16-year-old male was arrested on April 12 in connection to this case.

6:21 p.m. – Caller reported that a male subject slapped him, 4200 block of Main. Report taken for harassment.

9:03 p.m. – Caller reported a male took her saddle and pad and cut the wires on her vehicle, 600 block of Mountain View. Report taken. Loss valued at $200.

9:26 p.m. – Caller reported a cougar just ran through her yard, 1800 block of Vine. Officer spoke with the caller, who spooked the cougar, which did not seem to be a threat.

April 10

2:37 p.m. – Caller had questions about free-range chickens, 30500 block of Fairview. Caller was advised that chickens are not considered livestock for purposes of livestock at large.

8:17 p.m. – Caller reported that a vehicle he repossessed was stolen during the weekend, 1530 Tamarack St., Mountain Shadows. Report taken.

8:49 p.m. – Alicia Marie Upton, 27, cited for keeping a dog as a public nuisance, 308 7th Ave.

10:34 p.m. – Ronald Kolbeer Credille, 20, arrested for failure to register as a sex offender and cited for driving while suspended, defective lighting and driving uninsured, 12th and Main.

April 7

1:01 a.m. – A vehicle crashed into a tree at the corner of Fern Ridge and Highway 228. The driver failed to negotiate the corner. No citations.

4:10 p.m. – Caller reported that someone broke into the caller’s nursery within the previous two days, 39600 block of Highway 228. Numerous items were taken. Report taken.
