April 23

3:17 a.m. – Kristina Marie Ostrom, 48, cited and released in field on Lebanon warrant for failure to appear and probation violation, 2405 Main St., Circle K.

5:49 a.m. – Officer located a stray dog, 1325 18th Ave., Sweet Home Sanitation. Placed in kennel and later released to owner.

8:30 a.m. – Caller reported that someone broke into his garage and stole fishing gear, 1700 block of Long. Report taken. Loss valued at $100.

7:13 p.m. – Caller reported that a tenant’s friend’s dog attacked the caller’s dog previously, and the tenant was advised that the dog was not welcome at the location, 1100 block of Spruce. The dog was back. Officer contacted both parties. Information noted.

7:40 p.m. – Thomas Junior Hernandez, 53, arrested for restraining order violation and Linn County warrant for contempt of court, 1540 main St., Safeway. Transported to Linn County Jail.

April 22

4:34 a.m. – John Patrick Andrews Jr., 50, cited for driving while suspended, 1010 Main St.

9:15 a.m. – Caller turned in an iPad left by a remodeling company, 1200 block of Nandina. Placed in found property.

12:27 p.m. – Caller reported that someone moved a canopy with a “free” sign on it onto his property, 1400 block of 54th. Officer responded. The canopy was partially in the roadway. Officer moved it out of the road and advised Public Works.

1:58 p.m. – Catherine Ashley Soto, 23, cited for speeding, 53-35, 2200 block of Main.

5:06 p.m. – Caller found a dog, 1000 block of Elm. Dog placed in kennel and later returned to owner.

5:31 p.m. – Angela Dianne May, 38, cited for driving uninsured, driving while suspended and failure to carry proof of insurance, Pleasant Valley and Red Baron.

8:07 p.m. – Billy Gene Seibert, 53, cited and released in field on Linn County Jusice Court warrant for failure to appear on a citation, 23rd and Main.

9:02 p.m. – Callers reported a male trying to pass counterfeit $5 bills, 1200 12th Ave., Chewy’s. Officer responded. He had purchased an item at Chevron and received three $5 in change. He did not know one was counterfeit.

9:02 p.m. – David Melvin Buck, 23, arrested on Sweet Home warrant for failure to comply on original charge of second-degree criminal trespass, 12th and Long.

April 21

8:32 a.m. – Caller reported that neighbors are going to a vacant lot, cutting things, taking wood and yelling early in the morning, 1100 block of Juniper. Officer responded and planned to locate the subjects and advise them to stop.

9:04 a.m. – Carrie Anne Giles, 36, arrested on Linn County warrant for contempt of court on original charge of second-degree criminal trespass, 915 12th Ave. Transported to Linn County Jail.

10:23 a.m. – Caller located two dogs running loose, 2300 block of Main. Deputy transported them to Animal Control.

11:01 a.m. – Caller reported a missing vehicle, 300 block of Seventh. Information noted.

5:18 p.m. – Caller caught a white male pit bull mix that had been running loose, Long and 13th. Dog placed in kennel. Animal control notified.

7:41 p.m. – Dustin Kyle Coughran, 27, arrested for criminal trespass, second-degree criminal mischief and third-degree escape; Sweet Home warrants for failure to appear on original charges of second-degree criminal mischief, two counts of second-degree theft, third-degree theft and two counts of second-degree criminal trespass; Lebanon warrants for failure to appear on original charge of third-degree theft and contempt of court and probation violation; and a Linn County warrant for probation violation on original charges of possession of meth and possession of heroin.

8:07 p.m. – Caller reported a stray female pit bull with a blue collar showed up in the 700 block of 10th. Placed in kennel. Animal control notified.

8:45 p.m. – Amanda Grace Howser, 42, arrested by Oregon State Police on a Sweet Home warrant for failure to comply on original charge of third-degree theft, Sweet Home area.

9:18 p.m. – Randy Dale Ensley, 53, arrested for driving under the influence, 12th and Long. Cited and released.

11:16 p.m. – Crystal Chantel Schatz, 33, arrested on Sweet Home warrant for failure to comply on original charge of third-degree theft, Linn County warrant for failure to comply on original charge of failure to appear and Linn County Jusice Court warrant for probation violation and failure to appear, 1540 Main St., Safeway. Transported to Linn County Jail.

11:26 p.m. – Randy Dale Ensley, 53, arrested for second-degree disorderly conduct, second-degree criminal mischief and resisting arrest, 925 Long St. Cited and released. Caller had reported an intoxicated male yelling at her neighbor.

April 20

1:49 a.m. – Caller reported that a male stole a Red Bull, 2405 Main St., Circle K. Report taken. Loss valued at $4.

7:57 a.m. – Daniel Joseph Browand, 23, arrested for third-degree theft, 2405 Main St., Circle K. Cited and released.

10:25 a.m. – Michael Todd Sylvester, 52, arrested on Sweet Home warrant for contempt of court on original charge of second-degree criminal trespass and a new charge of possession of meth, 1907 Willow St. Cited and released.

11:36 a.m. – Caller reported that a fuel line on a bus was cut, 5050 Mountain Fir St., Wiley Creek Community. Report taken.

2:02 p.m. – Caller reported that someone was cutting the fence between Sweet Home High School and 15th Avenue. Report taken.

3:11 p.m. – Daniel Barnes, 72, cited for hit and run, 1950 Main St., Sweet Home Police Department.

4:52 p.m. – Eugene James May, 43, cited on Sweet Home warrant for third-degree theft, Department of Corrections.

7:08 p.m. – Caller reported that a neighbor’s dogs attacked her stepfather. Caller wanted owner counseled. Officer counseled owner.

9:06 p.m. – Caller reported that dogs are barking constantly, 300 block of Ironwood. Officer responded. Dogs were quiet upon arrival. Officer contacted the owner and advised her of the complaint. She agreed to keep the dogs quiet for the remainder of the night.

April 19

5:10 a.m. – Caller reported a chicken running around the parking lot, 2405 Main St., Circle K. Officer unable to locate.

8:24 a.m. – Caller reported two stray dogs at her residence, 1900 block of 19th. Officer responded. A relative of the owner was in the process of picking up the dogs.

1:30 p.m. – Caller reported receiving a $2,400 fraudulent check in the mail, 3100 block of Main. Officer responded and advised the caller that it was most likely a scam and she shouldn’t cash it.

1:52 p.m. – Caller reported that she was holding a stray dog that was nearly hit by a car, 4800 block of Main. Officer responded. Upon arrival, the dog was being picked up by a male.

6:13 p.m. – Caller reported that a stray dog showed up at her house, 1200 block of 22nd. Dog placed in kennel. Animal Control notified.

6:20 p.m. – Caller reported that her truck was hit while she was in the bank, 1200 block of 15th. Report taken. Damage estimated at $60.

10:27 p.m. – Caller reported a fifth-wheel trailer parked on the street, 4000 block of Osage. The trailer had power hooked up and people living in it. Trailer posted for removal.

April 18

3:14 a.m. – Breanna Marie Mansell, 23, arrested on Linn County warrant for failure to appear on original charge of possession of meth, Sweet Home warrant for failure to appear on original charge of third-degree theft and Albany warrant for failure to comply on original charge of third-degree theft, 2400 block off Main. Cited and released.

8:29 a.m. – Edwin Todd Hill, 51, arrested by Oregon State Police on Sweet Home warrant for failure to appear on original charge of hit and run.

11:02 a.m. – Caller turned in a wallet and ID located on a railroad car near Clark Mill Road. Placed in found property.

1:21 p.m. – Caller reported that someone broke into her vehicle, 4800 block of Main. Report taken.

2:40 p.m. – Bryan Leonard Percival, 31, cited for driving uninsured in two-vehicle crash, Long and 24th. No injuries. Lanes blocked.

4:05 p.m. – Officer reported nearly hitting a dog that was running loose in the area, 1400 block of 40th. Information noted. Dog returned to owner’s residence on its own. Officer counseled owner.

4:05 p.m. – Caller reported that someone entered his vehicle two weeks earlier and stole a phone, 2200 block of Ironwood. Report taken.

4:25 p.m. – Ariel Shanea Kaping, 23, cited and released in field on Sweet Home warrant for failure to comply on original charge of theft of lost property, 1950 Main St., Sweet Home Police Department.

4:51 p.m. – Henry Drew Tucker, 31, cited and released in field on Sweet Home warrant for failure to comply on original charge of third-degree theft and Lebanon warrant for contempt of court and probation violation on original charge of third-degree theft, 1950 Main St., Sweet Home Police Department.

8:09 a.m. – Darrell George Berrigan, 44, cited and released in field on Sweet Home warrant for failure to comply on original charge of third-degree theft, 2300 block of Main.

9:31 p.m. – Tiffany Ann Persinger, 33, arrested by Oregon State Police on Sweet Home warrant for failure to appear on original charge of third-degree theft. Cited and released.

April 17

10:38 a.m. – Caller reported roosters crowing at all hours, 2300 block of Jefferson. Referred to code enforcement.

12:59 p.m. – Kyle Matthew Rains, 30, turned in himself on a Sweet Home warrant for failure to comply on original charge of second-degree theft. Cited and released.

3:58 p.m. – Macayla Marie Jimenez, 21, arrested on Sweet Home warrants for failure to appear on two original charges of third-degree theft and one original charge of theft by receiving, Lebanon. Cited and released.

5:32 p.m. – Lisa Marie Magers, 36, arrested on Lebanon warrant for contempt of court and probation violation on original charge of second-degree theft, 1238 2nd Ave. Cited and released.

7:45 p.m. – Caller reported a firearm stolen or lost, 4900 block of Larch. Report taken.

11:02 p.m. – Casey Carl Berto, 40, arrested on King County, Wash., warrant for first-degree rape of a child, 1192 48th Ave. Transported to Linn County Jail.
