3:20 a.m. – Caller reported a male entered a residence with a knife, 1200 block of 47th. Report taken. Investigation continuing.
12:07 p.m. – Dakota Matthew Miranda, 16, cited for driving uninsured, driving without a license and failure to register vehicle, Napa parking lot. Vehicle impounded.
12:45 p.m. – Male juvenile, 17, taken into custody on a Linn County warrant for failure to appear on original charge of minor in possession of marijuana, 2235 Long St. Cited and released.
2:45 p.m. – Dawn Marie Thompson, 27, arrested for first-degree criminal trespass and resisting arrest, 3026 Main St. Cited and released.

10:10 a.m. – Kim Anthony Hartsock, 62, arrested on Albany warrant for failure to appear on original charge of resisting arrest, Linn County warrant for failure to appear on original charges of fourth-degree assault and two counts of second-degree criminal mischief and Albany warrant for failure to appear on original charge of harassment, east of 738 Maple St. Transported to Linn County Jail.
11:07 a.m. – Officer warned a male and female for trespass, 800 Long St., Bubbles and Barks. Caller had reported subjects sleeping on cardboard behind the location.
2:19 p.m. – Caller found a key, 13th Avenue bus stop. Placed in found property.
2:59 p.m. – Caller reported that a truck lost a load of pipe in the roadway, Highway 228 and First. Caller called back to report the driver was able to pick up the load and had left. Officer checked the area. Roadway was clear.
3:02 p.m. – Caller reported that someone broke into a house he’s remodeling, 600 block of 12th. Report taken. Loss valued at $525, and damage estimated at $100.
4:49 p.m. – Carman Lynn Jeffreys, 24, cited and released on Albany warrant for failure to comply on original charge of third-degree theft, 1037 13th Ave.
6:22 p.m. – Caller reported a male who was possibly intoxicated urinating on the side of a building, 18th and Main. Officer responded. Male admitted urinating on a building, but the manager did not want to pursue charges. Male warned and counseled for behavior.
7:26 p.m. – Caller reported a dog barking all hours of the day and night, 1200 block of 46th. Officer was unable to contact residents at the location. The dog was no longer there. Caller advised.
9:14 p.m. – Caller reported an intoxicated transient had left his dog and walked away, 13th and Long. Officer contacted the male, who did not appear more intoxicated than normal. Dog was with the male.
9:38 p.m. – Officer located property left by someone who was released from custody, 1950 Main St., Sweet Home Police Department. Property placed in found property.

3 a.m. – Jimmy Rodger Varner, 49, cited for driving while suspended and driving uninsured, 1800 Main St.
7:06 a.m. – Caller reported someone sleeping under the porch at the back of the Evangelical Church. Officer contacted two subjects and advised them to move along.
7:49 a.m. – Brandy Lyn Parker, 34, cited for driving while suspended and driving uninsured, 22nd Avenue near the Junior High.
7:49 a.m. – Dawn Marie Thompson, 27, arrested for second-degree disorderly conduct, 900 block of 12th. Transported to Linn County Jail. Caller had reported a female sitting on a curb yelling profanities.
9:36 a.m. – Caller reported medications missing after leaving her purse on a bench at Ashbrook Park the previous day when she was there with her children. Report taken.
1:08 p.m. – Caller found a cell phone in the alley behind his house, 600 block of Sixth. Placed in found property.
3:30 p.m. – Dustin Kyle Coughran, 25, arrested for third-degree theft, 3041 Main St., Hoy’s Hardware. Cited and released.
6:47 p.m. – Caller reported seeing a bucket with a marijuana plant behind an apartment complex, 1800 block of Fir. Caller saw juveniles around it earlier. Officer contacted the neighbors. No one knew who it belonged to. One agreed to take possession of the plant and keep it out of sight.

5:53 a.m. – Caller reported the theft of several hundred dollars worth of bread products, 621 Main St., Thriftway. Information noted. Caller requested extra patrol.
6:49 a.m. – Caller reported a bull running loose, Green River and 37th. Officer contacted owner, who responded to pick up the bull.
9:59 a.m. – Caller reported finding property, 621 Main St., Thriftway. Items seized.
10:02 a.m. – Steven Dale Bergevin, 27, cited and released in the field on Lebanon warrant for contempt of court on original charge of driving under the influence, 18th and Main.
10:06 a.m. – Caller reported a poodle-looking dog running loose, 1000 block of 43rd. Officer located dog and placed it in the kennel.
11:10 a.m. – Caller turned in a bag of wallets and IDs that had been left at the store, 621 Main St., Thriftway. Items seized.

8:13 p.m. – Caller reported he left his cell phone on a table, and someone stole it, 1540 Main St., Safeway. Suspect Terry Lynn Ballweber arrested later, and cell phone was recovered.

9:10 p.m. – Caller reported people riding tricycles in the roadway, 21st and Cedar. Officer unable to locate.
10:27 p.m. – Terry Lynn Ballweber, 52, arrested for second-degree theft in connection to the report earlier in the day about a stolen cell phone and on Linn County warrant for failure to comply on original charge of failure to appear, Justice Court warrant for failure to comply on original charge of failure to appear, Lebanon warrant for failure to appear and contempt of court and Sweet Home warrant for failure to comply on original charge of third-degree theft, 900 block of Nandina. Transported to Linn County Jail.

1:36 a.m. – Felicia Michelle Butterfield, 21, cited for driving while suspended and driving uninsured.
9:31 a.m. – Two callers reported that a neighbor’s dog had been barking day and night for the past week, 1000 block of Fourth.
10:42 a.m. – Caller reported items left in a driveway and wanted an officer to pick them up, 1500 block of 47th. Items seized.
11:21 a.m. – Caller reported that a neighbor threw a rock at her husband and hit him in the head, 4500 block of Manzanita. Report taken. Report to be forwarded to the city attorney.
11:30 a.m. – Caller reported that someone broke into his vehicle during the night, 5500 block of Quince. Vehicle was parked west of The Narrows on Highway 20. Information referred to Oregon State Police.
12:12 p.m. – John George Ginn, 50, arrested on Linn County warrant for failure to appear on original charge of driving under the influence and Lebanon warrant for contempt of court on original charge of third-degree theft, 1900 Kalmia St. Caller had reported a highly intoxicated male outside yelling that he was going to blow up his girlfriend’s vehicle.
3:11 p.m. – Caller reported a male sleeping on a bench at the Sweet Home Public Library, 1101 13th Ave. Employee was trying to get him to move along. Officer checked area. Unable to locate.
3:59 p.m. – Caller reported that neighbor’s dogs are in a kennel and bark at the caller and her children every time they are outside, 1530 Tamarack St., Mountain Shadows. Officer contacted and counseled all parties.
6:25 p.m. – Caller saw his neighbor’s dog chase the livestock on his property and kill one of his lambs, 30500 block of Sodaville Mountain Road. He shot at the dogs, which is lawful, but did not hit them. The owner of the dog was found, and they reached a civil compromise for the cost of the lamb.
7:47 p.m. – Caller reported multiple people fighting, 4600 block of Main. Officer contacted the involved parties. There was some physical altercation, but those involved did not want to pursue charges. Officer counseled individuals.
8:19 p.m. – Edwin Todd Hill, 50, arrested on Sweet Home warrant for failure to appear on original charge of hit and run, Linn County. Cited and released.
9:39 p.m. – Carrie Ann Giles, 35, arrested for second-degree criminal trespass, 1100 block of Main. Cited and released.
10:42 p.m. – Joshua Wayne Welch, 27, arrested on Sweet Home warrant for failure to appear on original charge of providing false information to a police officer, Lebanon.

2:42 p.m. – Caller reported that a male had been sleeping and sitting on a bench for more than 6 hours, 1100 block of 13th. Officer responded. Male subject moved along.
3:38 p.m. – Brandon Ryan Freeman, 22, arrested for harassment and second-degree disorderly conduct and on a Sweet Home warrant for failure to appear on original charge of third-degree theft, 2133 Main St. Cited and released. Callers had reported a male hitting a female.
4:03 p.m. – Lacey Marie Davidson, 37, arrested on Linn County warrant for probation violation on original charge of possession of meth, 1306 22nd Ave. Cited and released.
4:33 p.m. – Caller reported that neighbors are allowing their dog to defecate in his yard, 2200 block of Main. Referred to code enforcement.
5:06 p.m. – Caller reported that a female stole two pairs of jeans, 610 Main St., Dan Dee Sales. Report taken. Loss valued at $90.
5:22 p.m. – Lacey Marie Davidson, 37, arrested on Sweet Home warrant for failure to appear on original charge of second-degree criminal trespass, 1306 22nd Ave. Cited and released.
8:41 p.m. – Caller reported that a male just hit a female in the face and drove off, 2100 block of Main. Report taken.
9:55 p.m. – Larry Gene Freeman, 65, arrested for harassment (domestic violence), 2133 Main St. Cited and released.
11:18 p.m. – Jason Lydell Lingar, 38, arrested on Linn County warrant for failure to appear on original charge of first-degree criminal mischief, 1237 Nandina St. Cited and released. Lingar had reported that he just broke into his girlfriend’s room to check on her, and her pit bull attacked him. Medics responded. Lingar’s girlfriend was injured by dog’s spiked collar.
March 27
10:54 a.m. – Caller said that a cow was in her field, 26100 block of Old Holley, and she wanted the cow gone. The cow’s owner was found and went to retrieve the cow.
March 26
11:32 a.m. – Caller said there were four cows in the roadway, 26200 block of Old Holley.
12:53 a.m. – Caller said a gold Ford Focus was in a ditch, 24300 block of Brush Creek Drive. The vehicle went off the roadway and hit a tree. It was unoccupied when deputies arrived. The registered owner was not local. Deputies were unable to find contact information for the owner. The vehicle was towed. There were no signs of alcohol being a factor.
1:56 p.m. – Caller said that five dogs came at him while he was jogging past a residence in the 42600 block of North River. The male at the residence was hostile toward him and ran toward him. The caller did not want to be named in a complaint. A deputy talked with the dog owners.
March 24
5:26 p.m. – Someone went 4-wheeling on the north end of the cemetery. Headstones were messed up.
6:50 p.m. – Caller said he slid his truck, and it was stuck hanging over a ledge, 45000 block of Quartzville. He was out of the vehicle when he called. A tow truck pulled his truck out.

5:14 a.m. – Caller reported people going through his mailbox in the 41400 block of McQueen.
