April 7

7:14 a.m. – Caller reported that someone put a pipe wrench through the window of a vehicle, 900 block of Mountain View. Report taken. Approximate damage was $250. Nothing taken from vehicle.

10:51 a.m. – Caller reported that someone stole two tires out of a truck, 2400 block of Main. Information noted.

11 a.m. – Caller reported that someone broke into a vacant house during the night, 1000 block of 29th. Report taken.

11:47 a.m. – Caller reported a window broken out of a vehicle during the night, 1100 block of 29th. Report taken. Damage was approximately $100.

11:55 a.m. – Caller reported the theft of a chainsaw worth $695, 1300 block of Clark Mill. Report taken.

April 6

12:28 p.m. – Tony Ray Picard, 26, arrested for second-degree criminal mischief, 15th and Long. Cited and released. Caller had reported a male punching a truck window, running a screwdriver down the side and threatening the caller and his girlfriend.

7:44 p.m. – Ronald Ray Nipp, 76, cited and released in field for hit and run, 1283 44th Ave.

8:27 p.m. – Mathew Adam Boehm, 37, arrested on Sweet Home warrant for failure to comply on a fireworks offense, 3224 Main St., South Fork Mobile Home Park.

10:16 p.m. – Rondell Allen Adams, 22, arrested on Sweet Home warrant for driving under the influence, Clackamas County. Transported to Linn County Jail.

April 5

11:11 a.m. – James Michael Edward McElroy (AKA Slaght), 19, cited for trespass and escorted from property, 1540 Main St., Safeway.

12:23 p.m. – Caller reported an older male ran over a phone company “pedestal” and left even though advised not to, 621 Main St., Thriftway. Report taken. Damage was minimal. Message left with CenturyLink.

2:38 p.m. – James Matthew Reynolds, 29, cited for driving uninsured and arrested for third-degree theft, 501 Nandina St., Hillside Fellowship. Vehicle impounded. Cited and released. The arrest stemmed from an incident on March 9 where a male left the 76 station without paying for fuel.

8:33 p.m. – Caller reported that a white Chevrolet pickup with a canopy just hit a parked vehicle and left without stopping. Investigation continuing.

11:18 p.m. – Janelle Renea Gibbs (Arms), 34, arrested for fourth-degree assault (domestic violence) and on Lebanon warrant for contempt of court on original charge of second-degree theft, 1434 Ninth Ave. Transported to Linn County Jail.

April 4

1:45 a.m. – David Paul Gruwell, 47, arrested on Sweet Home warrant for failure to comply on original charge of third-degree theft, Albany. Cited and released.

1:59 a.m. – Amanda Rae Stafford, 38, arrested on Sweet Home warrant for failure to comply on original charge of second-degree criminal trespass, 18th and Main. Cited and released.

9:05 a.m. – Cristy Jane Cromwell, 33, cited for violating city ordinance, dog not on a leash, 22nd and Main. Caller had reported a German Shepherd on the sidewalk chasing and nipping at people.

10:42 a.m. – Rockie Eugene Morse, 40, arrested for second-degree criminal trespass and two counts of interfering with a peace officer, 1890 Kalmia St.

1:45 p.m. – Joyce Elaine Ohnesorge, 76, cited for failure to obey traffic control device in two-vehicle crash, 4300 block of Main. Second driver was Steven Michael Pace, 54. Report taken.

5:43 p.m. – Caller reported a sliding glass door on a vacant residence behind her had been pried open, 1500 block of 12th. Report taken.

9:45 p.m. – Jennifer Lyn Jones, 21, cited for driving uninsured, Long near 13th.

10:57 p.m. – Caller reported that his son was mugged by two males in a red Toyota pickup about two minutes earlier, Pleasant Valley and Main. Report taken.

11:15 p.m. – Carrie Ann Giles, 33, arrested on Sweet Home warrant for failure to comply on original charge of second-degree criminal mischief, Lebanon. Cited and released.

April 3

11:34 a.m. – Caller reported a bright light in an RV storage area that blinds drivers, 18th and Yucca. Referred to code enforcement.

1:01 p.m. – Matthew Charles Nill, 30, arrested for third-degree theft in connection to a stolen beer valued at $3.74 reported on April 2 and for providing false information to a police officer. Also cited for possession of less than an ounce of marijuana, 1540 Main St., Safeway. Cited and released.

4:16 p.m. – Caller reported trash throughout a yard, 1100 block of Fourth. Referred to code enforcement.

4:29 p.m. – Brandon Ryan Freeman, 20, arrested on Sweet Home warrant for failure to comply on original charge of second-degree criminal trespass, 900 block of Nandina. Cited and released.

9:45 a.m. – Nina Marie Puma, 36, turned herself in on a Sweet Home warrant for failure to comply on original charge of first-degree criminal trespass, 1950 Main St., Sweet Home Police Department. Cited and released.

April 2

9:10 a.m. – Caller reported a nearby property owner constantly shovels dog feces into a ditch, 4400 block of Long. Referred to code enforcement.

10:10 a.m. – Thomas Randall Dundas, 28, cited for speeding, 62-45, 4000 block of Main.

1:08 p.m. – Jess David-John Martin, 14, taken into custody for fourth-degree assault, 1128 29th Ave. Transported to Linn-Benton Juvenile Detention Center.

2:46 p.m. – Caller reported the theft of an air compressor out of the back of his truck during the night, 1300 block of First. Report taken.

7:02 p.m. – Angelia Marie Wagner, 34, arrested on Lebanon warrant for failure to comply on original charge of second-degree theft and probation violation, 3224 Main St. South Fork Mobile Home Park. Cited and released.

8 p.m. – Caller reported a theft at Safeway, 1540 Main St. Report taken. Stolen item valued at $3.74.

10:36 a.m. – Jeremy Shawn Prewitt, 37, arrested for felony driving while suspended, 1540 Main St., Safeway. Transported to Linn County Jail.

10:42 p.m. – William L. McRae, 48, arrested on Benton County warrant for failure to appear on original charge of fourth-degree assault, behind Dairy Queen. Transported to Linn County Jail.

April 1

12:40 a.m. – Caller reported a group of subjects just walked by her house, turned over her garbage cans and laughed about it, 1000 block of 12th. Officer responded and assisted in picking up garbage cans.

7:54 a.m. – Caller found what appeared to be a baggie of marijuana along the roadway, 22nd and Main. Seized for destruction.

11:53 a.m. – Caller brought a check that appeared to be part of a scam to the Police Department, 1950 Main St. Information noted.

12:53 p.m. – Caller reported the theft of a lawnmower and other items, 1300 block of Clark Mill. Information noted.

12:18 p.m. – Caller reported someone used his identity to obtain a payday loan, 3300 block of Juniper. Information noted.

4:20 p.m. – Caller reported a theft, 3041 Main St., Hoy’s. Report taken.

4:31 p.m. – Caller reported that it appeared someone had attempted to enter her house, 200 block of Highway 228. No damage. Nothing missing.

6:15 p.m. – Mark Danille Guiley, 23, arrested on Sweet Home warrant for failure to appear on original charge of third-degree theft, Portland. Cited and released.

March 31

3:18 p.m. – Caller reported washers and dryers stored in public view, 2300 block of Main. Referred to code enforcement.

5:07 p.m. – Caller found a coin purse, 1300 block of Long. Placed in found property.

5:14 p.m. – Caller reported four or five chickens walking in traffic, causing drivers to slam on their brakes, 22nd and Main. Officer unable to locate.

7:59 p.m. – Caller reported his bicycle stolen, 1540 Main St., Safeway. Report taken.
