12:49 p.m. – Caller reported a female subject just stole property, 2405 Main St., Circle K. Report taken. Loss valued at $4.50.
1:15 p.m. – Caller reported a motor home parked for at least two weeks, 900 block of 27th. Resident advised of complaint. She said the motor home was broken down, but she would move it when it’s fixed. An officer was to follow up in a couple of days.
1:30 p.m. – Amanda June Herbert, 26, arrested for third-degree theft and possession of meth, 13th and Main. Cited and released.
1:38 p.m. – Kristopher S. Clark, 23, arrested on Sweet Home warrant for failure to appear on original charge of third-degree theft, Lebanon. Transported to Linn County Jail.
Aug. 23
9:09 p.m. – Caller reported a vehicle speeding through the manufactured home park, 4610 Main St. When told to slow down, the driver started yelling and cursing at the caller. A second caller said that residents of the park came broke a taillight on her friend’s vehicle. Report taken for criminal mischief. Damage valued at $700. Female escorted from the park.
11:02 p.m. – Officer located a building where someone had apparently attempted a burglary, 4500 block of Main. Key holder arrived, checked the building and secured it.
2:32 a.m. – Shaw Jerred Valentine, 25, arrested on Sweet Home warrant for failure to appear on original charge of third-degree theft; and Steven Allen Jones, 25, arrested on state warrant for parole violation, 12th and Grape. Valentine cited and released. Jones transported to Linn County Jail.
8:20 a.m. – Bradley Edward Amundsen, 35, arrested for second-degree criminal mischief, 1250 Nandina St. Cited and released.
10:25 p.m. – Paul William Kalina, 40, cited for driving while suspended and driving uninsured, 1700 block of Long.
10:32 a.m. – Caller reported two females in a ditch starting a fire to get rid of bees, 800 block of Main. Officer responded. Reported activity was not happening at that time. The females agreed not to do it.
10:37 a.m. – Jeanette Neta Settles, 54, arrested for driving under the influence, 14th and Elm. Cited and released.
11:19 a.m. – Caller reported a dirt bike, which was chained to an electrical pole, was stolen, 4400 block of Main. Report taken.
11:43 a.m. – Caller reported a quad was stolen, 4300 block of Main. A chain was cut. Report taken.

11:50 p.m. – Caller reported a male sitting in a truck and drinking a beer while getting his car washed, 1000 block of Main. Officer contacted the registered owner, who admitted to just opening the beer. He poured it out for the officer. No sign of impairment.
2:43 p.m. – Caller reported concrete blocks near the boat ramp had been spray painted, Pleasant Valley Boat Ramp. Report taken.
4:24 p.m. – Lebanon Police Department recovered a stolen firearm out of Sweet Home.
5:55 p.m. – Caller reported tall grass, 600 block of 12th. Referred to code enforcement.
7:10 p.m. – Caller reported buying four guns from a male in the Thriftway parking lot a month ago. He heard about the new law and asked to have an officer check the guns. Officer seized the guns until they could be cleared. One of them was listed stolen out of Marion County.
8:48 p.m. – Christopher Thomas Meredith, 27, arrested on Sweet Home warrant for failure to appear on original charge of second-degree theft, across from Coffee Hut.
Aug. 21
8:32 a.m. – Caller reported a code violation, 1300 block of Green River. Officer spoke with residents at the location, and they would take care of the issue.
10:30 a.m. – Carrie Ann Giles, 34, turned in herself on a Sweet Home warrant for failure to comply on original charge of second-degree criminal mischief, 1950 Main St., Sweet Home Police Department.
10:32 a.m. – Kelly James Boatman, 39, arrested for second-degree online sexual corruption of a child and luring a minor, 1950 Main St., Sweet Home Police Department.
1:06 p.m. – Caller reported finding what appeared to be a drug spoon in the parking lot, 1280 10th Ave., Subway. Item seized, and officer would patrol extra as time allows.
2:35 p.m. – Caller reported multiple subjects smoking marijuana and passing around a bong, 877 14th Ave., Sankey Park. Officer unable to locate.
2:55 p.m. – Jesse Lane Davis, 20, arrested on Sweet Home warrant for contempt of court, 877 14th Ave. Cited and released.
3:21 p.m. – Caller reported a female stole a Lottery ticket off the counter, 2405 Main St., Circle K. report taken. Loss valued at $3.
3:28 p.m. – Kevin Joseph Bachand, 43, arrested on Sweet Home warrant for failure to comply on three original charges, including two counts of third-degree theft and one count of criminal trespass, 2405 Main St., Circle K. Cited and released.
3:42 p.m. – Kasandra Arlene Fox, 29, cited for following too closely in a two-vehicle crash, Main and 22nd. No injuries.
4:16 p.m. – Caller reported the theft of her cell phone, between Circle K and the 4600 block of Main. Report taken. Loss valued at $30.
6:42 p.m. – Caller reported a house with an unsecured door, 1200 block of Second. Officer cleared the residence and secured the door.
9:29 p.m. – Caller reported that a male subject has been lighting grass on fire and putting it out, 1200 block of Nandina. Officer contacted male who denied lighting anything on fire. Officer checked area, and nothing was burned.
10:50 p.m. – Robert Irvin Calkins, 73, arrested for unlawful use of a firearm and menacing, 4302 Aiport Road. Caller had reported a male subject firing a shot inside the house. Cited and released.
11:14 p.m. – Caller reported a male running out of the store with a cart full of groceries, 1540 Main St., Safeway. Report taken.
11:31 p.m. – Brandon Scott Thomas, 28, arrested on Sweet Home warrant for failure to comply on original charge of second-degree disorderly conduct, Medford. Cited and released.

5:40 p.m. – Caller reported that he was assaulted again after returning home, 4800 block of Main. All parties separated for the evening.
5:40 p.m. – Eugene James May, 41, arrested for third-degree theft and on a state warrant for parole violation on a weapon offense, 4824 Main St. Transported to Linn County Jail.
6:10 p.m. – Caller reported that someone entered a building, 3200 block of Main. Report taken.
7:31 p.m. – Caller reported witnessing a drug deal, 877 14th Ave. He reported several subjects smoking marijuana, and he had the incident on video. Officer contacted one subject, who denied the activity. Officer viewed the video, and it was hard to tell if anything changed hands. He planned to contact the subject again.
8:28 p.m. – Caller reported finding a bicycle, 13th and Long. Seized as found property.
8:28 p.m. – Caller reported a mattress in the middle of the eastbound lanes, 2400 block of Main. Officer contacted a male driver. The mattress came undone on his load. He retrieved and resecured it.

7:22 a.m. – Caller reported something that looked suspicious, Ames Creek, behind CenturyLink yard. Caller would like an officer to check it out. Officer responded and located garbage.
11:19 a.m. – Amanda June Herbert, 26, arrested for first-degree criminal trespass, 621 Main St., Thriftway. Cited and released. Loss valued at $4.83.
2:08 p.m. – Caller reported a male dragging a dog behind his bike and kicking it, 5600 block of Main. Caller confronted male. He let the dog go, and it ran out into traffic. Officer checked area. Unable to locate.
3:35 p.m. – Sarah K. Rodgers, 35, arrested on Sweet Home warrant for failure to appear on original charge of second-degree criminal mischief, Albany. Cited and released.
4:11 p.m. – Tony Ray Roebuck, 21, arrested on Sweet Home warrant for failure to appear on original charge of second-degree criminal trespass, 1950 Main St., Sweet Home Police Department. Cited and released.
4:57 p.m. – Caller reported a Lottery screen broken, 1306 Main St., Main Street Market. A male subject said he just tapped it. Report taken. Investigation continuing.

9:01 a.m. – Caller reported witnesses observing a motor home hitting his pickup and continuing without stopping, 1900 block of Main. Report taken.

12:27 p.m. – Caller reported a motor home with expired tags parked near play equipment, 877 14th Ave., Sankey Park. It was plugged into electricity, and an odd odor was coming from the motor home. Two little girls without shoes got out of the motor home and went to the play equipment, while an adult male entered the motor home. Officer contacted the occupants and advised them they needed to leave within one hour.
