July 26

10:34 a.m. – Caller reported a dog at large, 1200 block of 44th Ave. Officer responded, dog placed in kennel, Animal Control advised.

4:48 p.m. – Caller reported that her neighbor tore down her “no trespassing” signs and came into her house without permission, 4300 block of Main St. Officer responded, report taken for first-degree criminal trespass. Man trespassed from the caller’s residence.

7:18 p.m. – Julianne Phillips, 27, of Sweet Home, arrested on six outstanding warrants, 43700 block of North River Drive. Report taken.

8:28 p.m. – David Joshua Wall, 26, arrested for failure to appear on an original charge of second-degree theft, Stayton Police Department.

8:48 p.m. – A deputy contacted two individuals illegally parked at Gedney Creek. Jamie Carpenter, 45, of Sweet Home, and Julianne Phillips, 27, of Sweet Home, were arrested on warrants and cited for parking violation.  

9:23 p.m. – Morgan Marie Lumpkin, 23, cited and released on Albany Municipal Court warrant for second-degree criminal trespass, 4600 block of Main St.

11:33 p.m. – Caller reported finding a pressure cooker atop a power box at 18th/HS Driveway. Officer responded; the empty and rusted-shut item was seized as found property.

July 27 

10:26 a.m. – Edwin Todd Hill, 55, cited and released on Lebanon Municipal Court warrant for driving with a suspended license, 1800 block of Fir Street.

5:09 p.m. – Kellie Ann Hesson, 54, arrested for domestic violence harassment, harassment and resisting arrest, 300 block of W. Holley Road.

6:03 p.m. – Caller reported criminal mischief – damage to mailbox in 41900 block Marks Ridge Drive. Estimated value: $80. Report taken.

6:54 p.m. – Caller reported theft of vehicle, a maroon 1989 Chevy 1500 single cab, from residence in 45400 block of Highway 20. Value estimated at $1,200. Report taken.

8:58 p.m. – Kaitlyn Carol Tibbs, 24, arrested on a Sweet Home Municipal Court warrant for failure to appear on an original charge of animal abandonment, Albany Police Department.

9:51 p.m. – Patrick John Ward, 40, cited and released on a Lebanon Municipal Court warrant for failure to appear on an original charge of a criminal citation/driving with a suspended license. Also cited for driving with a suspended license, parking lot, All Star Pizza.

July 28 

9:50 a.m. – Caller reported that a man drove onto property eight days previously and damaged a hitch on a trailer in the process, 25000 block of West Brush Creek Road. Deputy investigating. Report taken.

9:07 a.m. – Micaela Gabrielle Horning, 27, cited and released on Douglas County Circuit Court warrant for failure to appear on an original charge of attempting to elude, resisting arrest, reckless endangerment X3, and reckless driving, 13th Ave/Main St.

9:57 a.m. – Caller reported that someone shot the side of his trailer with an arrow, 1500 block of Tamarack St. Officer responded; a report was taken for second-degree criminal mischief. Approximate value: $150.

11:46 a.m. – Cameron Michael Wark, 31, cited for driving with a suspended license and driving uninsured. Arrested on Sweet Home Municipal Court warrant for failure to comply on an original charge of third degree theft, 2200 block of Main St.

12:08 p.m. – Caller reported that a driver threw a beer can out of a window in 1400 block 60th Ave., then left eastward on Highway 20.

12:26 p.m. – Heather Lynn Thompson, 41, cited and released on Linn County Circuit Court warrant for failure to appear on original charges of unauthorized use of a motor vehicle, failure to appear on an original first-degree charge and failure to appear on an original citation, Sweet Home Police Department.

4:43 p.m. – Misty Elizabeth McManus, 24, arrested on Sweet Home Municipal Court warrant for failure to appear on an original charge of third-degree theft, Junction City Police Department.

5:58 p.m. – Caller reported that a woman stole his Reliacard and spent over $900, 1100 block of 55th Ave. Report taken for fraudulent use of credit card and first-degree theft. Approximate value: $1,050.

6:21 p.m. – Caller reported a theft at Hoy’s Hardware, 3041 Main St. Officer responded, report taken. Approximate loss of value: over $3,000.

8:58 p.m. – Deputy responded to a complaint about speeding and reckless driving in the 24200 block Brush Creek Road/Childers Drive. Shortly thereafter, a 17-year-old male, name not released, was arrested for reckless driving after crashing his vehicle on Brush Creek Road near West Brush Creek Road. The juvenile was uninjured. Information forwarded to Linn County Juvenile Department.

10:11 p.m. – Isaac Denbo, 24, cited for failure to carry proof of insurance, 18th Ave./Long St.

July 29

5:28 a.m. – Officers located a stolen vehicle, 600 block of Main St. Brian Neal Clement, 50, cited and released for possession of a stolen vehicle. Arrested on Linn County Circuit Court warrant for failure to appear on an original charge of first-degree burglary X2, first-degree theft, possession of burglary tools and second-degree criminal mischief. Arrested for second-degree burglary X2, first-degree theft and second-degree theft, second-degree burglary X6, first-degree theft X2 and aggravated first-degree theft X2. Cited and released on Benton County Circuit Court warrant for failure to appear on an original of second-degree burglary, second-degree criminal mischief, second-degree criminal trespass and possession of burglary tools

8:10 a.m. – Joshua Martin Hughes, 19, cited for speeding 105 mph in a 55-mph zone, driving with a suspended license, and failure to carry proof of insurance, milepost 22 on Highway 20.

10 a.m. – Subject stole 6 feet of sprinkler system, 2500 block of Long St. Caller had video. Officer responded; report taken for third-degree criminal mischief.

10:57 a.m. – Caller reported harassment in the 43100 block of North River Drive. Deputy responded, found “several people walking in front of the caller’s location on North River Drive, doing laps with weighted vests” as part of a wildland firefighter endurance test. No crimes were being committed. Caller felt it was “harassment” for them to be walking back and forth in front of her house, according to the Sheriff’s Office.

2:03 p.m. – Caller reported that a man on a motorcycle hit her fence and left, 1400 block of Elm St. Officer responded; Steven Lee Ballweber cited and released for hit-and-run.

3:07 p.m. – Deputy responded to a request for a welfare check in the 42200 block Ames Creek Road. Caller advised that a dog kept getting loose and when caller followed it back to a residence, people appeared to be home, but did not come to the door. Deputy arrived at the residence, where lights were on. Female was at the location and said her sister’s dog had gotten out. Dog was taken to another sibling’s location until Jamboree was over.  

3:12 p.m. – Jacob Hughes, 23, cited for driving with a suspended license and failure to carry proof of insurance, 1745 Dogwood St.

10:52 p.m. – Harold Shane Brown, 56, cited and released on Coos County Circuit warrant, field across from Coffee Hut.

July 30

1:15 a.m. – Caller reported a suspicious vehicle parking in the 5600 block of Larch St. Officer responded. Crystal Marie Woodward, 38, arrested on Albany Municipal Court warrant.

1:42 a.m. – Deputies responded to a non-injury crash in which a vehicle driven by James Brown, 55, of Sweet Home, went into a ditch in the 25900 block of Old Holley Road. Brown was cited for failure to drive within lane and driving uninsured. No injuries reported.

7:57 a.m. – Caller reported items stolen from vehicle, 5500 block of Poplar St. Report taken for unauthorized entry into a motor vehicle and second-degree theft. Value: $800.

10:56 a.m. – Deputies contacted male in the 45900 block of Hwy. 20 and informed him he was trespassing. Sheriff’s log noted others would also need to be contacted and removed from property.

2:52 p.m. – Caller found debit card in parking lot, 1980 Main St. Placed in Property.

5:34 p.m. – Christina Marie Cash, 27, cited and released on Lebanon Municipal Court warrant for providing false information to police, Main St. & 42nd Ave.

6:54 p.m. – Caller reported a non-injury crash, 3200 block of Main St. Officer responded, Thomas Ray Pimentel, 23, cited for driving with a suspended license and driving uninsured.

7:19 p.m. – Adina Collier, 41, cited for driving with a suspended license and driving uninsured, 1800 block of Long St.

7:35 p.m. – Caller located a syringe in her vehicle, 1400 block of 53rd Ave. Property seized for disposal.

7:37 p.m. – Billy Joe Richardson, 55, arrested on Sweet Home Municipal Court warrant for failure to comply on an original charge of second-degree criminal mischief, Albany Police Department.

7:41 p.m. – Billy Joe Richardson, 55, of Sweet Home, arrested on multiple outstanding warrants, 45900 block of Hwy. 20. Report taken.

7:59 p.m. – Stolen credit card was reported used in Sweet Home, at an undisclosed location. Card’s owner lost his wallet in the Sunnyside Campground area, 44900 block of Quartzville Road, according to the Sheriff’s Office. Report taken.  

8:59 p.m. – Lester Lee Hendrix Jr. arrested on Sweet Home Municipal Court warrants for failure to appear on an original charge of criminal driving X2, Linn County Sheriff’s Office.

9:35 p.m. – James Micheal Heaberlin, 26, arrested on Sweet Home Municipal Court warrant for failure to appear on an original charge of second-degree criminal trespass, Lebanon Police Department.

10:53 p.m. – Patrick John Ward, 40, arrested on Sweet Home Municipal Court warrant for failure to appear on an original charge of third-degree theft, Linn County Sheriff’s Office.

July 31

2:20 a.m. – Rikkie Reashelle James, 20, cited and released for driving under the influence of intoxicants, reckless driving, and being a minor in possession of alcohol, 1500 block of Main EB.

8:13 a.m. – Joshua Martin Hughes, 19, cited for driving with a suspended license and failing to carry proof of insurance, 12th Ave./Kalmia St. Colton Robert Michael Rictor, 20, cited and released on Linn County Circuit Court warrant for failure to appear on an original charge of second-degree burglary, possession of a stolen vehicle, and second-degree criminal mischief.

9:31 a.m. – Earl Ryan Dodge, 27, cited and released on Linn County Circuit Court warrants for failure to appear on an original charge of first-degree forgery and first-degree possession of forgery instruments, failure to appear on an original charge of driving under the influence of intoxicants, reckless driving, and failure to appear on an original citation X2. Cited and released on original charge of possession of meth and failure to appear on an original charge of a citation X3.

10:11 a.m. – Caller reports someone plugged in a car battery to a battery charger in the lobby of the post office, 5300 Poplar Street. Officer responded; item placed in Property.

10:31 a.m. – Caller reported that his bicycle was stolen the previous evening, 3100 block of Main St. Officer responded, report taken for second-degree theft. Approximate value: $300.

10:52 a.m. – Caller found a check, 1500 block of Main St. Officer responded; item placed in Property.

11:04 a.m. – Devin Gerard Pyne, 33, cited for speeding 57 mph in a 35-mph zone, 600 block of Main St.

1:06 p.m. – Caller reported two men fighting in the street, 550 block of 9th Ave. Lamar Lavonne Wilson, 32, arrested for second-degree disorderly conduct. Arrested on Sweet Home Municipal Court warrants for failure to appear on an original charge of second-degree criminal trespass and failure to appear on an original charge of third-degree theft.

1:16 p.m. – Hope Carlene Panages, 45, cited and released on Sweet Home Municipal Court warrants for failure to appear on an original charge of harassment and failure to appear on an original charge of second-degree disorderly conduct, 1540 Main St.

2:27 p.m. – Deputy located a man and woman camped on Army Corps of Engineers land near the scale shack in the 44300 block of Hwy. 20. They were advised to leave.

2:49 p.m. – Four vehicles parked unlawfully at second bridge, 44700 of block Quartzville Road, warned and advised to leave.

4:51 p.m. – Caller reported a vehicle burglary in the 40800 block of McDowell Creek Dr./Bates Bridge. Approximate value of stolen goods: $500. Report taken.

5:22 p.m. – Man camped illegally at milepost 3 on Quartzville Road advised to move on.  

7:14 p.m. – Caller reported that a driver hit three cars and left the location, 18th Ave./Main St. Spencer James Shimota, 29, cited and released for driving under the influence of intoxicants.

10:45 p.m. – Steven Stitt, 36, arrested for reckless burning and probation violation, Sankey Park.

August 1

8:32 a.m. – Caller reported the theft of her cooler the previous evening, 1900 block of Main St. Officer responded; report taken for third-degree theft. Approximate value: $50.

8:34 a.m. – Peggy Lynn Gibson, 48, arrested on Albany Police Department warrant for failure to comply on an original charge of third degree theft, Albany Police Department.

1:57 p.m. – Franklin Thompson, 43, of Sweet Home, arrested for second-degree criminal mischief, 43700 block Wiley Creek Drive. According to Sheriff’s Office, Thompson broke windows in a vehicle.

2:05 p.m. – Caller reported a personal watercraft moving fast through the swim area, 1400 block of 60th Avenue, but a deputy was unable to locate it.

2:20 p.m. – Caller found a driver’s license at Camp 4, 1000 block of 22nd Ave. Item placed in Property.

7:55 p.m. – Brenden Harris, 28, cited for speeding 62 mph in a 45-mph zone, Main St./60th Ave.

8:27 p.m. – Caller reported that a man left a debit card at Main St. Market, 1810 Main St. Officer responded; the debit card was seized for safe keeping.

3:55 p.m. – Bicycle stolen from River Bend campground, 45900 block Hwy. 20. Report taken.

4:14 p.m. – Deputy patrolling the Weyerhaeuser property in the 42300 block of Upper Calapooia Drive found maple burl theft about 100 yards from the gate on the road’s north side. A large maple tree had been cut down and burl stolen. Investigation underway.

8:33 p.m. – Caller reported an intoxicated male walking in and out of traffic in 27600 block of Hwy. 20. Male was given a ride by the Sheriff’s Office to get him off the roadway and prevent an accident.
