7:23 p.m. – Caller reported that someone wrapped fireworks with electrical tape and threw it into the caller’s mailbox after lighting it, 33000 block of Upper Berlin. The explosion didn’t damage the mailbox, but it did damage some mail inside.
7:30 p.m. – Caller reported a small child hanging out in front of his residence, 1530 Tamarack St., Mountain Shadows. Caller did not know the girl’s parents or where she lives. Officer responded. Child was returned to mother. The child has a tendency to wander off.
7:39 p.m. – Jamboree security encountered a heavily intoxicated female who could not remember where she was staying, Jamboree Box Office. Just prior to officer arrival, the female’s party located her and saw that she was properly cared for.

5:51 p.m. – Caller reported that a subject threw trash in front of a residence and a bag of trash at a stop sign, 1100 block of 29th. Officer contacted two subjects who admitted to the offense. Officer counseled them on their actions, and they picked up the trash.
6:58 p.m. – Caller reported that a juvenile told the caller he was jumped at 605 Elm St., Oak Heights Elementary School. Parties were separated. Investigation continuing.

7:47 p.m. – Caller reported juveniles jumping on tables, and the caller believed she heard one crack, Ashbrook Park. Officer contacted three juveniles, who admitted to what happened. It was more reckless than intentional. Officer counseled the juveniles and advised parents.
8 p.m. – Daniel Joseph Browand, 24, arrested on Sweet Home warrant for failure to comply on original charge of third-degree theft, Lebanon. Cited and released.
10:23 p.m. – Caller reported juveniles in a silver car knocked over a sign and possibly took some mail, Long and 22nd. Officer found a sign broken in half. No mailboxes were in the area. Unable to locate the vehicle or anyone else in the area.
11:06 p.m. – Caller reported that residents in the apartment complex, 2440 Main St., were yelling at others about smoking marijuana in the complex. Officer responded. Ongoing issues between residents. Officer mediated the situation.
July 31
2:27 a.m. – Caller reported an elderly male was walking down the street in his underwear, 9th and Elm. Officer contacted the male and returned him to his home, with his wife taking care of him.
6:52 a.m. – Callers reported a dog running loose and barking at people, 1200 block of Nandina. Officer unable to locate any dogs.
7:23 a.m. – Caller reported a Pomeranian running loose, 1200 block of Nandina. Officer unable to locate but did locate the pit bull from the previous call. Dog placed in kennel. Animal Control notified.
8:11 a.m. – Joshua Scott Dawson, 39, arrested on a Sweet Home warrant for failure to comply on original charge of third-degree theft, 1950 Main St., Sweet Home Police Department. Cited and released.
9:35 a.m. – Caller reported that she told her neighbor she needs to keep her dog in her yard and her neighbor started yelling and calling the caller names, 1200 block of Nandina. Officer contacted caller. Information noted. No answer at the neighbor’s residence.
9:59 p.m. – Officer located an illegally parked vehicle, 500 block of Elm. Vehicle tagged for removal.
10:28 a.m. – Caller reported a dog was tied up outside with no water, 3224 Main St., South Fork manufactured home park. Owner was expected to be gone all day. Officer responded. The dog was fine and appeared healthy. Officer contacted a family member who lived next door. The family member planned to care for the dog while the owner was gone. It had plenty of food and water.
11:04 a.m. – Delbert Joe Tunnell, 44, cited for failure to renew registration, 600 block of Main.
12:11 p.m. – Caller reported a couple of dogs locked inside a hot vehicle, 6305 Main St., The Point Restaurant. Officer contacted the owner, who agreed to move to the outside dining area and keep the dogs with them on the patio instead of locked in a vehicle.
12:14 p.m. – Dallas Andrew Samson, 35, arrested for third-degree theft, Long and Mountain View. Cited and released.
2:49 p.m. – Tandy Williamson, 61, cited and released on a contempt of court warrant, 38700 block of Crawfordsville Drive.
3:06 p.m. – Jeffrey Louis Wodtli, 55, arrested on Sweet Home warrant for failure to appear on original charge of harassment, 1950 Main St., Sweet Home Police Department. Cited and released.
5:42 p.m. – Caller reported a male staggering all over the sidewalk and nearly falling into traffic. Officer contacted the male and provided a courtesy transport home.
8:01 p.m. – Caller reported five teenagers throwing rocks at the tractors parked at location, 46th and Main. Officer contacted a juvenile who said he did skip a rock and it hit one of the tractors. No damage. Officer counseled juvenile on his actions.

8:47 a.m. – Caller reported he had video of suspicious activity that may have been related to a fire alarm a week earlier, 1641 Long St., Sweet Home High School. Report taken.
8:51 a.m. – Caller reported a vehicle parked for two weeks, 1800 block of Cedar. Vehicle posted for removal on Aug. 2.
8:54 a.m. – Caller reported a neighbor had been tying up a small dog, which was crying and choking itself trying to get loose, 4100 block of Main. Officer contacted the owner, who advised that she was training a puppy to be tethered. The dog was no longer outside.

Officer contacted and advised the owner of the complaint. The owner is in the process of rehoming the animal. Officer advised the owner of the law for tying dogs outside. The dog had plenty of water.
