5:40 p.m. – Gregory Dean Thompson, 54, arrested for driving under the influence and reckless driving and cited for open container, 3000 block of Highway 20. A 5-year-old child taken into protective custody until later released to a family member. Police received multiple reports from Interstate 5 to Sweet Home of a white 2007 Dodge with ladders on top reaching speeds of up to 100 mph on I-5, passing on the shoulder, driving erratically on Highway 20 and onto a sidewalk more than once inside the Sweet Home city limits.

3:38 a.m. – Two people were fighting in Camp 24. It was going on for quite a while and people around them were asking them to be quiet. They then yelled at fellow campers.

12:09 p.m. – Caller reported a juvenile opening mailboxes and looking inside, 3200 block of Long. Officer contacted a male putting business cards into mailboxes for a family business. He showed the officer the card. Officer advised him to stop, and he agreed to do so.
12:26 p.m. – Caller reported a male going door to door trying to raise funds to send packages to the military, Mimosa Circle. Officer contacted male and advised him of city ordinance. Male moved on.
12:33 p.m. – Brandon Lee Basham, 22, arrested for third-degree theft, possession of meth and possession of heroin; Blake Andrew Martin, 21, arrested for third-degree theft, 1540 Main St., Safeway. Martin cited and released. Basham transported to Linn County Jail.

7:42 a.m. – Caller said someone took out her mailbox in the 40000 block of Mountain Home Drive.
8:58 a.m. – Tabitha Winters, 23, cited for keeping a dog as a public nuisance, 4213 Long St.
9:38 a.m. – Dog was shot with an arrow. The dog was taken to the vet and survived. The incident is still under investigation.
10:08 a.m. – Raymon Wayne Littell, 39, arrested for second-degree forgery, 1530 Main St., Santiam Drug. Cited and released.
11:35 a.m. – Anthony Allen Ensley, 32, arrested on Linn County warrant for failure to appear on original charge of possession of meth and two additional counts of failure to appear and a Lebanon warrant for probation violation and charged with providing false information to a police officer. 1:34 a.m. – Caller reported someone keeps calling him, posting things on his Facebook and texting him. He has asked the person to stop but they keep doing it.
1:31 p.m. – A New Mexico detective was looking for a male subject who is in the Aryan Brotherhood. New Mexico authorities want to find him.
4:01 p.m. – Caller reported finding a bicycle in the bushes, 18th and Tamarack. Seized as found property.
10:08 p.m. – Crystal Ray Sevak, 33, arrested for third-degree theft, 621 Main St., Thriftway. Cited and released.
Aug. 2
8: 06 a.m. – SHPD was with a victim at Midway Grocery whose debit card was stolen from his vehicle at the location. The card was declined at Midway when the suspect tried to use it. The card was canceled.
Aug. 1
3:35 a.m. – Caller in the 27500 block of Riggs Hill heard walking upstairs in her house when she should have been home alone. Her dog went upstairs and started barking. Deputies responded. The house was secure.
10:42 a.m. – Caller said single vehicles were parking in the boat parking area at Calkins Park Boat Ramp. Caller confronted a few people about it and was treated rudely.
1:50 p.m. – Caller reported loud music coming from the camp behind their residence in the 42300 block of Ames Creek Dr.
2 p.m. – Caller said her daughter who is 34 years old and bi-polar was dropped off at the Sweet Home Safeway two days ago and hasn’t been heard from since.
2:21 p.m. – Oregon Department of Fish and Wildlife was at Yellowbottom Campground with a camper who had an illegal campfire. The camper was being uncooperative.
7:32 p.m. – A man who lives near Oregon Jamboree Campsite 14 on Ames Creek Road was reported to be threatening and harassing campers at the Sweet Home Community Chapel. Adam Mitchell Spencer, 33, of Sweet Home was charged with one count of menacing and one count of second-degree disorderly conduct.
July 31
1:05 a.m. – Caller states there is a drunk man camping right next to the caller. The man was disturbing the camp and throwing stuff in his tent.
7:46 a.m. – Caller, the camp host in the 42200 block of Ames Creek Dr., said one of the neighbors near the camp was harassing them.
2:57 p.m. – Caller reported loud, loud music coming from Community Chapel property in the 42300 block of Ames Creek Dr.
3:06 p.m. – Caller reported that his vehicle at Camp Tadmor was stolen while he was at the camp. Keys were in the vehicle.
July 30
6:09 p.m. – Caller passed a male in the water who was stuck on a log pile in the middle of the river near Sunnyside boat ramp. Caller said he asked them for a tow and to throw him a rope but they could not reach. All parties were able to get out of the water safely.
8:11 p.m. – Caller in the 41900 block of North River Dr. said a neighbor came into his backyard because her dog was drowned by someone who had a pool in her backyard. The matter is under investigation.
July 29
8:18 a.m. – Bicycle stolen out of campsite at River Bend Park during previous night.
