Aug. 13
12:38 a.m. – Shaun Randall Larsen, 21, arrested on Sweet Home warrant for third-degree theft, Lebanon. Cited and released.
1:43 a.m. – Constance Elaine Whitehorn, 52, cited and released in field on Linn County Justice Court warrant for contempt of court for nonpayment, 4804 Main St., Spoleto’s.
5:25 p.m. – Caller reported that someone broke into a vehicle while parked at Thistle Creek Boat Ramp. Report taken. Stolen items valued at $1,500.
10:06 a.m. – Caller reported that a dog was in a garage, howling and whining since the previous night, 900 block of 6th. Caller was concerned about the dog’s welfare. Officer responded. A dog was in a kennel and did not like it but was fine.
12:10 p.m. – Caller reported finding a bag of clothing with needles near her mailbox, 1600 block of Elm. Officer seized items for disposal.
4:28 p.m. – Caller reported that her debit card was stolen and used at several locations in Sweet home. Information noted.
10:15 p.m. – Stormy Allison Batchelor, 31, arrested on Sweet Home warrant for failure to appear on original charge of third-degree theft, Central Point.
Aug. 12
3:16 a.m. – Caller reported that a male grabbed her by the throat and held her down, 1100 block of 4th. Report taken for strangulation and harassment.
5:49 a.m. – Elias James Severson, 39, arrested on Sweet Home warrant for failure to comply on original charge of second-degree theft, Redmond.
9:55 a.m. – Caller located a debit card left in an ATM, 1428 Main St., Linn-Co Federal Credit Union. Placed in found property.
10:45 a.m. – Caller reported finding luggage on his property, Mountain View and Long. Placed in found property.
3:56 p.m. – Caller reported a location that has couches in the front yard and at least four dogs, 4200 block of Long. Referred to code enforcement.
5:56 p.m. – Caller reported a man lying on the ground by garbage cans, 1300 block of Main. Officer contacted a sleeping male who moved along.
9:37 p.m. – Joshua Kelly Whitmore, arrested for strangulation and harassment (domestic violence), 1164 4th Ave. Transported to Linn Conty Jail.
Aug. 11
9:07 a.m. – Caller reported that a neighbor had trash piled on his porch and it’s starting to smell, 4700 block of long. Referred to code enforcement.
9:16 a.m. – Austin Wayne Sater, 28, cited on Sweet Home warrant for failure to comply on original charge of second-degree disorderly conduct, Benton County Jail.
11:48 a.m. – Caller reported finding two syringes in the house while cleaning, 3200 block of Long. Officer seized items for disposal.
11:56 p.m. – Klickitat County, Wash., Sheriff’s Office recovered a trailer reported stolen from Sweet Home.
12:12 p.m. – Caller found a syringe in the building, 1234 Main St., Downtown Lounge. Officer seized item for disposal.
2:14 p.m. – Caller reported that a vehicle had parked with a dog in it most of the day, 1400 block of 1st. Officer contacted the owner, who was at the vehicle upon officer arrival. Officer warned the owner for leaving an animal in the car and advised the owner to clean up the mess made in the area he was parked.
2:35 p.m. – Caller reported being concerned about a tax cab advertisement, 1st and Highway 228. Referred to code enforcement.
4:02 p.m. – Caller reported items stolen from an unattached shop, 48700 block of Highway 20. Stolen items included a military field box, a toolbox, two roto zips, a router, a weed eater, four antique BB guns and an oak table. Loss valued at $1,365. Report taken.
4:20 p.m. – Jeff Daniel Davis, 44, arrested for driving under the influence, reckless driving and misdemeanor driving while suspended and cited for driving uninsured and failure to register vehicle, 5918 Nandina St. Vehicle impounded. A caller had reported a neighbor running into his fence.
4:23 p.m. – Caller reported medication stolen, 1100 block of 55th. Report taken.
4:41 p.m. – Shawn Stanley Pruitt, 44, turned in himself on Sweet Home warrant for failure to appear on original charge of misdemeanor driving while suspended, 1950 Main St., Sweet Home Police Department. Cited and released.
6:02 p.m. – Jeffery James McCorkhill, 28, cited for a dog as a public nuisance, 605 Elm St., Oak Heights Elementary. Multiple callers had reported a pit-lab mix running loose on the playground. Callers said the dog was friendly and not aggressive but was being a nuisance.
6:21 p.m. – Caller reported that he was assaulted earlier in the afternoon at the Bohemian Club, 1025 Long St. Report taken.
7:19 p.m. – Caller reported a female hitting the side of the building with a hammer, 1540 Main St., Safeway. Officer contacted the female, who was smashing a toothbrush. Officer advised her to clean up the mess.
8:27 p.m. – Michael James Burkhart, 35, arrested for driving under the influence, 3rd and Ironwood. Cited and released. Caller had reported a male in a black vehicle pounding his head against a steering wheel.
9:06 p.m. – Kaytlin Michele Hurt, 25, arrested on Sweet Home warrant for failure to comply on original charge of harassment, Myrtle Point. Cited and released.
10:39 p.m. – Billy Dye, 55, arrested on Sweet Home warrant for failure to appear on original charge of second-degree disorderly conduct, Lincoln City.
Aug. 8
1:31 a.m. – Caller reported people sleeping on the front steps, 1443 Long St., Sweet Home Funeral Chapel. Officer contacted a male and female, and they moved on.
Aug. 7
9:25 a.m. – Caller found a dog running loose, 3200 block of Juniper. Owner picked up dog.
9:36 a.m. – Caller reported that someone got into her vehicle and took her overnight bag and purse, 2400 block of Ames Creek. Report taken.
11:10 a.m. – Caller reported that a caretaker stole money and other items, 6200 block of Main. Report taken. Loss valued at $468.
12:14 p.m. – Caller reported that a neighbor’s blackberries were growing over and through a fence, 800 block of Alder. Referred to code enforcement.
6:39 p.m. – Lisa Marie Jones, 55, cited and released in field on Sweet Home warrant for failure to appear on original charge of harassment, Nandina and 47th.
7:57 p.m. – Caller found drug paraphernalia on his property, 4600 block of Mahogany. Officer seized it for disposal.
9 p.m. – Caller found a dog, 38th and Long. Placed in kennel. Animal control notified.
9:27 p.m. – Caller reported that he had video surveillance of a male stealing cans and bottles from his property, 800 block of 14th. Report taken.
11:08 p.m. – David Paul Gruwell, 51, cited and released in field on Albany warrant for failure to appear on original charge of second-degree criminal trespass, Main and Clark Mill.
