10:59 a.m. – Caller requests prescription pickup, 2300 block of Main. Officer responded, assisted.
12:25 p.m. – Caller reported a client left boxes of salon items he was selling, so she and her coworkers could go through them. But one box included a note that said “stolen gun” and there’s a firearm in it, Shear Country Salon. 2312 Main. Officer responded, no firearm in box, only ammunition and magazines. Caller will contact male and have him come gather his belongings. If he doesn’t come pick them up, caller will call back to turn them in to the Police Department.
6:00 p.m. – Hayden Christian Draper, 19, cited for careless driving, 1950 Main St. Sweet Home Police Department.
6:22 p.m. – Caller reported a male at location has been previously trespassed, wanting to pursue charges, 621 Main, Thriftway. Officer responded, on previous record of trespass, male trespassed and will leave area. Caller advised.
8:35 p.m. – Caller reported possible drug deal at location, Mr. Lucky’s Deli, 1207 Long. Officer responded, contacted owner of vehicle who denied reported activity. Ariel Hunter Ringheimer, 26, arrested on Oregon State Parole Board warrant for a parole violation, a Linn county warrant for a probation violation on an original charge of possession of meth, and a Lebanon warrant for probation violation.
August 11
1:06 a.m. – Albany Police arrested Joey Dawayne Persinger, 27, on two Sweet Home warrants for failure to comply on original charges of third degree theft.
1:18 a.m. – Officer located parked unoccupied stolen vehicle, 18th and Willow. Owner came to retrieve the vehicle.
4:40 a.m. – Officers responded to a medic call for law enforcement for a death investigation, 5000 block of Mountain Fir. Report taken.
12:03 p.m. – Caller reported a male at Thriftway, 621 Main, needs to be trespassed. Officer responded, male advised of trespass.
3:29 p.m. – Steven Lee Ballweber, 31, turned himself in to Sweet Home Police Department on a warrant for failure to comply on an original charge of felony possession of a restricted weapon. Cited and released.
6:39 p.m. – Officer noticed a white male on a black bicycle is attempting to open each front window at O K Country Feed & Supply, 250 Main. Contacted owner, who is familiar with the transient and not concerned about him being on property. He was asking for cans.
8:17 p.m. – Caller reported two vehicles cutting cookies in the Husky Field parking lot, left headed towards the junior high. Officer checked the area but was unable to locate.
10:44 p.m. – Caller reported a man and woman pushing a piano down the street on 12th by the bridge. Officer contacted the couple, who believed the piano to be abandoned. They returned the piano. Franklin Luster Cutbirth, 39, cited and released in the field on a Sweet Home warrant for failure to appear on original charge of second-degree criminal mischief and a Lebanon warrant for failure to appear on an original criminal citation.
August 12
12:42 a.m. – Caller reported their vehicle missing from the 1200 block of Nandina. Report taken, vehicle was recovered by Salem Police after it was left in a park.
3:34 a.m. – Breanne Nicole McVay, 25, arrested on a Linn County warrant for contempt of court, 2405 Main, 7-11.
6:57 a.m. – Caller reported a male passed out on the sidewalk, 1950 Main, Safeway. Officer responded, man believes he had a seizure and refused medical assistance. Officer contacted a friend who will be coming to assist the male.
11:43 a.m. – Caller reported a pistol found at the location, 3200 block of Main. Officer responded, item was actually a BB gun. Caller believes it may belong to her brother. A pill container for an individual who doesn’t live at the address was seized.
12:17 p.m. – Stacy Manuel Teixeira, 55, cited and released on a Lebanon warrant for failure to appear, Santiam Discount.
6:35 p.m. – Caller reported male and female messing with piano at 1000 block of 12th, last night male had tried to take piano. Officer responded, contacted male and female who had permission to take free piano.
6:44 p.m. – Caller reported a female who had her card stuck in the ATM and asked him for plyers to remove the card, which he considered suspicious, 1428 Main, Linn-Co. Officer responded, no damage to ATM noted. Will have day shift follow up with bank employees.
9:05 p.m. – Caller reported he and his friends were driving and almost hit a cat, the cat’s owner then came out and pulled a gun on them, 1700 Dogwood. Officer responded, contacted involved parties. Male advised he took off his belt after occupants of vehicle were wanting a fight.
9:50 p.m. – Brian Hames Pryor, 53, cited for driving while suspended, Sun Motel.
10:56 p.m. – Fight in parking lot, 2405 Main, 7-11. Subjects were separated, did not want to pursue charges.
11:01 p.m. – Kaby Keith Heidt, 24, turned herself in on Linn County felony warrants for third-degree theft, possession of meth, first-degree forgery, possession of heroin, distribution of a heroin, and distribution of heroin within 1000 feet of a school, along with failure to appear on a criminal citation.
11:21 p.m. – Caller’s son saw a man on a bicycle pulling a cart take two batteries from a pallet out of the back of Les Schwab, put them in his cart, and leave, 1707 Main.
August 13
5:52 a.m. – The roll-up door to the Sweet Home High School auto shop was open when no one should be there, 1641 Long. Officer responded, report taken for second-degree burglary and first-degree theft. Approximate loss valued at $5000.
6:34 a.m. – Caller reported shop was broken into and a pick-up was taken, 4603 Main, Moose Creek Machine & Repair. Officer responded, report taken for second-degree burglary, first degree theft and unauthorized entry into a motor vehicle. Vehicle bearing the license plate ZQJ939 reported stolen.
12:24 p.m. – Caller reported his house was broken into, 4400 block of Live Oak. Officer responded, reports taken for first-degree burglary and theft, including of a firearm.
12:41 p.m. – Caller received info of a man sleeping on a bench and possibly using drugs, 1575 Main, Chamber of Commerce. Officer responded, unable to locate.
3:21 p.m. – Abigael Wood, 32, turned herself in on a Sweet Home warrant for failure to comply on an original charge of second-degree criminal trespassing. Cited and released from Sweet Home Police Department, 1950 Main.
3:46 p.m. – Caller heard a loud explosion, Sweet Home High School football stands. Officer responded and contacted a group near the track. They said they heard an explosion 40 minutes ago, which sounded like it came from a residence on Kalmia. Unable to locate anything suspicious in the area.
5:21 p.m. – Caller requested assistance having a squatter move his vehicles so a trailer can be moved, 5100 block of Redwood. Officer responded, contacted subject who is going to move the vehicles.
5:30 p.m. – Caller reported her cat was shot with a pellet gun earlier that day, 800 block of 4th. Info noted.
6:39 p.m. – Caller reported a neighbor’s child stole a nerf gun and the parent is refusing to return it, 4600 block of Main. Officer responded, all items are back with their owners.
8:22 p.m. – Caller reported females in a red and white Ford made a transaction with a male on a bicycle at Husky Field, and all parties left the area. Officer responded, checked the area, was unable to locate.
9:54 p.m. – Kaitlyn Rae Carpenter, 21, cited and released on a Linn County warrant for failure to comply on an original charge of meth possession, 2400 block of Main. Rochelle Denise Burrow, 53, was also cited on a Sweet Home warrant for failure to appear on an original charge of second-degree criminal trespass.
August 14
4:17 a.m. – Linn County Sheriff’s Department located a stolen vehicle, Waterloo Park.
11:28 a.m. – Caller reported his vehicle was entered and items taken, 3100 block of Main. Officer responded, report taken for unauthorized entry of a motor vehicle and first-degree theft. Approximate loss valued at $1226.
12:26 p.m. – Caller reported a male trying to get into a female’s purse, causing a physical disturbance, 1000 block of 14th. Officer responded, contacted both parties, no sign of a physical disturbance, both parties encouraged to remain separated for the rest of the day. Heather Fagan, 29, was cited and released on a Sweet Home warrant for failure to comply on an original charge of false info. Kyle Elmer, 29, cited and released on a Sweet Home warrant for failure to comply on an original charge of third-degree escape.
3:19 p.m. – Caller believes a couple walking west on Airport stole a pair of pruning shears out of her yard, 1200 block of 47th. Officer contacted the individuals, there was no signs of pruning shears on their persons or in their backpack. Officer contacted caller with update.
4:38 p.m. – Caller’s wife’s vehicle was hit, causing damage to the bumper, 1100 block of 29th. Report taken.
6:07 p.m. – Caller needed crutches and had no way of getting to Bi-Mart—she had paid for them over the phone, 1900 block of Main. Officers unable to respond prior to the store closing because of rallies in town. Fire department personnel will handle it. Caller notified.
6:27 pm. – Rally goers have a large flag waving in the lane of travel, which almost caused the caller to miss a stop light, 15th and Main. Officer contacted the rally coordinator who will make sure the flag isn’t in the traffic lane.
6:30 p.m. – Caller said a male just assaulted her sister, 4100 block of Main. Officer contacted subjects and trespassed the male from the location. Rebecca Ann Long, 39, cited and released on a sweet home warrant for failure to comply on an original charge of second-degree disorderly conduct.
6:44 p.m. – Caller reported receiving flyers in his driveway from possible antifa after attending a rally on the coast, 1500 block of Tamarack. Info noted.
8:09 p.m. – Caller said he owns a property on the 1000 block of Long, and a neighbor called to tell him someone has pulled a trailer back to the creek area and is camping out. An officer contacted the subject and advised that he needs to leave the area. Caller notified of outcome.
10:47 p.m. – Caller reported possible fireworks in the area, 300 block of Holley. Officer unable to locate.
11:48 p.m. – Caller reported possible gunshots in the area, 1200 block of Main. Officer unable to locate.
August 15
2:46 a.m. – Officer located a juvenile out after curfew, 1800 block of Main. 17-year-old refered to juvenile department and released to guardian.
11:24 a.m. – Quenton Wyatt Quadros, 22, turned himself in on a sweet home warrant for failure to comply on an original charge of second-degree criminal mischief. Cited and released from Sweet Home Police Department lobby, 1950 Main.
12:54 p.m. – One caller reported being jumped by a male and a female at Foster Market, 5401 Main, and his wife needs medical assistance. Another caller reported a fight there. Officer responded, report taken, investigation ongoing.
1:29 p.m. – David Loris Whitton, 65, turned himself in on a Linn County warrant for a probation violation. Cited and released from Sweet Home Police Department lobby, 1950 Main.
3:59 p.m. – Thomas Daniel Elmer, 49, turned himself in on a sweet home warrant for failure to appear on two original charges of second-degree criminal trespass. Cited and released from Sweet Home Police Department lobby, 1950 Main.
5:35 p.m. – Citizen came into police department to report a theft on the 1100 block of 55th. Report taken, approximate loss valued at $380.
5:53 p.m. – Caller reported two males drinking alcohol in a vehicle at All Star Auction. Officer responded, contacted male who was doing work on property and moved the vehicle to the shade. no signs of intoxication. Alcohol in vehicle, but family member will give him a ride later.
8:02 p.m. – Caller reported neighbors racing dirt bikes up and down the street every evening, 1200 block of Linden. Officer contacted homeowner, who was trying to have some fun with the kids but is putting the bikes away now. Advised of restrictions for them being on the road.
9:32 p.m. – Caller reported a neighbor came speeding by and hit their cat, 600 block of Ironwood. Investigation ongoing.
9:46 p.m. – Caller reported a gang of five beat up their brother and he is lying in the roadway, 1000 block of 43rd. One person transported by medics, investigation ongoing.
10:36 p.m. – Caller reported neighbors grinding and shooting sparks up 10 feet in the air, 1700 block of Dogwood. Officer spoke with male who didn’t realize the time and finished up for the night.
