12:59 p.m. – Caller reported an RV parked on 5th Avenue for the past month blocking the view of the intersection of 5th and Ironwood. Officer contacted the owner, who agreed to work on moving it.
1:08 p.m. – Caller reported a single-vehicle crash, 43400 block of North River. Driver transported to a local hospital for treatment.
2:25 p.m. – Mark Aaron Lamb, 41, arrested on Sweet Home warrant for failure to comply on original charge of reckless driving, 1950 Main St., Sweet Home Police Department.
4:43 p.m. – Brandon Ryan Freeman, 24, arrested on Sweet Home warrant for failure to appear on original charge of third-degree theft, 1950 Main St., Sweet Home Police Department.

6:10 a.m. – Caller reported a vehicle in a ditch with a person in the driver’s seat and interior lights on, Rowell Hill and Highway 228. Report taken. An uninjured driver had fallen asleep.
9:49 a.m. – Caller reported that a female was taking advantage financially of an older male where she was living, 1200 block of 47th. Investigation continuing.
2:19 p.m. – Caller reported that his daughter stole and pawned more than $20,000 of jewelry, 1530 Tamarack St., Mountain Shadows. Report taken.
3:01 p.m. – Caller reported a female made charges on his account without permission, 3300 block of Juniper. Report taken.
3:11 p.m. – Caller reported charges were made on his credit card, 2200 block of Long. Report taken.
4:55 p.m. – Caller found a small dog that was wandering, 1641 Long St., Sweet Home High School. Dog placed in kennel.
5:04 p.m. – Multiple callers reported a multiple-vehicle crash, 12th and Long. Report taken. No injuries.
8:13 p.m. – Caller reported that someone entered the caller’s residence while someone was in a bedroom, 43000 block of North River. The person called out to whomever was in the house, and the home invader ran from the property. Report taken.
8:52 p.m. – Heather Nicole Matney, 24, cited on Sweet Home warrants for failure to appear on original charges of first-degree criminal trespass, fourth-degree assault and second-degree theft, Lebanon.
9:23 p.m. – Caller reported neighbors moved out a couple of days earlier and left a dog in the backyard, 1100 block of 1st. Officer responded. No answer at the door. Unknown if the dog was abandoned or currently being cared for. Officer will attempt to contact the owner, and the caller was advised to keep an eye on the dog.

7:19 a.m. – Caller reported a power saw taken from the bed of a pickup, 300 block of 7th. Report taken.
7:54 a.m. – David Melvin Buck, 25, arrested on Sweet Home warrants for failure to appear on original charges of second-degree criminal trespass and felon in possession of a restricted weapon.
8:06 a.m. – Caller reported a subject sleeping in a stairwell, 1140 12th Ave., City Hall. Officer contacted the female, who was in the process of collecting her things and moving on.
12:38 p.m. – Caller reported two stray dogs, 800 block of 7th. Officer was able to catch one and put it in the kennel. The other was aggressive but contained in a vacant yard. Animal Control notified.
3 p.m. – Caller reported her EBT card had been accessed, with half of the funds used in Sweet Home, Dollar General. Report taken.
4:02 p.m. – Caller found used needles in the phone booth, 2405 Main St., Circle K. Officer disposed of the needles.
4:56 p.m. – Caller reported that someone attempted to get into a shed in the caller’s backyard during the night, 1300 block of Nandina. Report taken. Loss valued at $1.
5:02 p.m. – Caller reported a brick had been thrown through the window of the caller’s car while he was inside shopping, 1540 Main St., Safeway. Report taken. Loss valued at $150.
5:35 p.m. – Caller reported a battery stolen, 1300 block of 47th. Caller did not want the officer to take a theft report. The caller just wanted extra patrols.
7:18 p.m. – Tyson Derek Boren, 35, arrested on Sweet Home warrants for failure to appear on original charges of second-degree criminal trespass and third-degree theft and Lebanon warrant for contempt of court on original charge of driving under the influence and probation violation and Linn County warrant for possession of heroin, 1203 Long St., All-Star Pizza. Cited and released. Caller had reported that a male who was asked to leave earlier was passed out in the lottery room.

5:59 a.m. – Chavana Ann Bowser, 27, arrested on Sweet Home warrant for failure to appear on original charge of third-degree theft, Albany.
7:21 a.m. – Caller reported that neighbors stole a bin of cans, 1900 block of 12th. When the caller’s husband confronted them, they threw a butter knife at him. Report taken. Loss valued at $7.
11:20 a.m. – Caller found a stray dog, 800 block of 7th. Dog placed in kennel. Animal Control notified.
5:10 p.m. – Sandra Jayne Lennon, 75, arrested for driving under the influence and reckless driving, 4600 block of Main. Cited and released. Vehicle impounded.
6:46 p.m. – Caller reported that a neighbor smokes marijuana on the front porch, 5500 block of Nandina. Officer contacted two individuals who admitted to smoking marijuana on the front porch. Officer advised them about the law on smoking marijuana in public view.

12:39 a.m. – Megan Breann Brambora, 28, cited on Sweet Home warrant for failure to appear on original charge of harassment, Multnomah County Jail.
1:10 a.m. – Sara Kay McBee, 27, arrested on Sweet Home warrant for theft of services, Polk County.
3:25 a.m. – Medics requested officer assistance with a male who had a syringe stuck in his arm, 1900 block of 12th. Officer assisted.
8:28 a.m. – Caller reported a single-vehicle crash on Quartzville Road, 48300 block, down an embankment leading to the reservoir. Vehicle was unoccupied. Due to its hazardous location, it was towed from the scene.
9:30 a.m. – Caller reported a subject sleeping by the book drop, 1100 block of 13th. Officer contacted female, who packed up and moved along.
11:22 a.m. – Davy Anthony Phillips, 46, turned in himself on a Sweet Home warrant for failure to appear on original charge of second-degree criminal trespass, 1950 Main St., Sweet Home Police Department. Cited and released in field.
12:02 p.m. – Caller reported the theft of a backpack and computer from an unlocked vehicle, 1300 block of Evergreen. Report taken. Loss valued at $1,500.
12:09 p.m. – Caller reported a subject sleeping in the doorway, 1223 Kalmia St., Sweet Home Genealogical Society Library. Female warned for trespassing. She packed her things and moved on.
1:58 p.m. – Officer located a stolen computer, 1200 block of 49th.
3:56 p.m. – Edwin Todd Hill, 53, arrested on Sweet Home warrant for failure to appear on original charge of hit and run, Albany.
4:34 p.m. – Caller turned in license plates found in the roadway, Highway 20 and Dixie Lane. Returned to owner.
5:02 p.m. – Caller reported a dog had been barking all day, 1200 block of 40th. The caller said the owners keep it chained up all day long. The caller has spoken with the code enforcement officer twice about the issue. Officer responded. No one was at home. The dog was barking and tethered. Officer left a business card requesting contact.
8:14 p.m. – Amanda June Herbert, 31, arrested on Sweet Home warrant for failure to comply on original charge of second-degree criminal trespass, Albany.

9:07 a.m. – Caller reported that a male broke into her safe and stole jewelry, 1300 block of Poplar St. Report taken.
9:58 a.m. – Jeffrey Ryan Harris, 25, cited by Oregon State Police on a Sweet Home warrant for failure to appear on original charge of third-degree theft.
10:13 a.m. – Drug detection dog alerted to the exterior of a vehicle, 1700 block of S. Main Street, Lebanon. Officers found multiple items of drug paraphernalia.
12:13 p.m. – Caller reported that a student threatened to kill his friend, 1641 Long St., Sweet Home High School. Officer responded. There are several different stories about what happened. The school already looked into it and was handling it.
1:26 p.m. – Ra Ross Allen Scott, 25, cited on Sweet Home warrant for failure to comply on original charge of third-degree theft, Newport.
2:52 p.m. – Anna Rochelle House, 34, cited on Sweet Home warrant for failure to comply on original charge of third-degree theft, Linn County Jail.
3:35 p.m. – A 13-year-old juvenile referred to Juvenile Department for minor in possession of marijuana, 88 22nd Ave., Sweet Home Junior High.
7:42 p.m. – A pedestrian transported to hospital by medics, 1099 Long St., Sweet Home Fire and Ambulance District. Pedestrian had been involved in a vehicle-versus-pedestrian crash. No citations issued.
9:24 p.m. – Daniel Joseph Carrico, 34, arrested on Sweet Home warrant for failure to comply on contempt of court seeking punitive sanctions, Albany. Cited and released.
