Dec. 14

7:06 a.m. – Caller reported a truck parked behind a building with extension cords plugged into it, 780 block, Long. Santiam Chiropractic Clinic. Officer responded, contacted male and trespassed at caller request.

9:10 a.m. – Caller reported electrical wires have been cut out of his house, 2400 block of Harding. Officer responded, report taken for burglary, criminal mischief and theft.

4:08 p.m. – Caller reported a female who has a no contact order against her is deliberately parking near the caller’s in-law’s house, 400 block of 5th. Info noted, caller wanted to avoid getting in trouble.

5:52 p.m. – Caller reported someone broke into her vehicle sometime last night, 1800 block of Kalmia. Nothing was taken but some items were left. Officer responded, located owner of the items. They were placed in the vehicle by mistake. Caller advised.

9:04 p.m. – Linn County Jail served a Sweet Home warrant to Richard Guy Tagan, 31, of failure to comply on an original charge of harassment.

11:39 p.m. – Officer located Allen Dale Ensley, 31, on a Douglas County warrant of failure to appear on an original charge of unauthorized entry of a motor vehicle, 18th near the railroad tracks. Cited and released.

Dec. 15

1:05 p.m. – Caller reported a female pounding on the door of the high school, 1641 Long, demanding they take down the U.S. flag. Officer responded, Hope Carlene Panages, 45, cited and released for disorderly conduct, trespassed from SHHS.

4:36 p.m. – Caller reported two vehicles failed to stop for a school bus, 3200 block of Main and 1500 block of Tamarack. Letters sent to registered owners.

7:42 p.m. – Caller reported a female in bathroom at Safeway yelling profanities and hitting doors, 1540 Main. Requested she be asked to leave. Officer responded, contacted female, counselled for behavior.

10:12 p.m. – Caller reported hearing multiple people yelling and saw one being chased, 4600 block of Main. Officer responded, contacted male who states the group was having a cake fight and were chasing someone with cake. No disturbance.

11:04 p.m. – Linn County Sheriff’s Office located Frank Joseph Coelho, 65, on a Sweet Home warrant for failure to comply on an original charge of driving under the influence of intoxicants.

Dec. 16

12:00 a.m. – Caller reported hearing three to four shotgun blasts, Hawthorne and 2nd. Officer unable to locate anything suspicious.

8:14 a.m. – Coburg Police located Derrick James Freeman, 24, on a Sweet Home warrant for failure to comply on an original charge of theft.

12:38 p.m. – Caller reported a male just stole socks from the store, 610 Main, Dan Dee Sales. Officer responded, report taken, will be on look out.

12:58 p.m. – Tyler Jackson Horner, 31, cited for driving while suspended, driving uninsured, and failure to properly use a seatbelt.

1:01 p.m. – Rhett Jeremiah Tucker, 24, arrested for theft, 1712 11th, Northside Park. Also arrested on Linn County Sheriff’s Office warrants for a parole violation and a Sweet Home warrant for failure to comply on an original charge of possession of a controlled substance. Lodged in Linn County Jail.

4:25 p.m. – Caller reported female’s vehicle is stalled at entrance to store, said she was assaulted by her boyfriend, Thriftway, 621 Main. Officer responded, non-mandatory arrest, CARDV info provided.

8:29 p.m. – Caller said she couldn’t find her 4-year-old son, last seen in his bed, 800 block of 18th. While officer was en route, child was located hiding under the dining table.

11:05 p.m. – Caller reported a vehicle driving slowly through neighborhood and stopping in front of houses, 2800 block of Fir. Officer responded, located vehicle, female stated she was driving through the area looking at Christmas lights with a child.

Dec. 17

3:28 a.m. – Officer located female with warrant, 4804 Main, Spoletto’s. Cristy Jane Cromwell, 39, cited and released on a Linn County warrant for possession of meth, theft, and failure to appear on an original charge of possession of meth. Also cited on a Marion County warrant for failure to appear on an original charge of meth possession and a Lebanon warrant of a probation violation.

12:13 p.m. – Caller reported her son stole her car, 1700 block of Fir. Office responded, caller does not wish to sign as stolen at this time and wants officers to be on lookout for the vehicle.

1:38 p.m. – Vehicle in police department for a week parking lot posted for removal. 1950 Main.

9:10 p.m. – Albany Police located Matthew James Wood, 29, on a Sweet Home warrant for failure to comply on an original charge of harassment.

10:59 p.m. – Cody Baker, 19, cited for excessive speed, 41 in a 25 on 1100 block of Main.

Dec. 18

7:29 a.m. – Linn County Sheriff’s Office reported a male intentionally overdosed, 1200 block of Poplar. Officer responded with medics, male transported with medics voluntarily.

12:09 p.m. – Linn County Sheriff’s Office located female with a warrant. Heather Mae Kelly, 41, cited on two counts of failure to appear on an original charge of theft.

1:28 p.m. – Caller reported someone cut lock off and turned water back on, 1700 block of Fir. Officer responded with public works, lock replaced, info noted.

5:07 p.m. – Caller’s friend just stopped by and her small son shut the car door, locking an infant inside, 1000 block of Elm. Entry gained, no apparent damage.

6:34 p.m. – Approximately five teens seen carrying large, unknown objects from Ashbrook Park. Officer checked park by foot, unable to locate anyone or any problems.

9:46 p.m. – Multiple callers reported hearing gunshots or fireworks, Strawberry Heights area. Officer responded, checked area, unable to locate.

10:26 p.m. – Caller reported her daughter was caught smoking cigarettes and now is refusing to get out of the vehicle, 3100 block of Long. Officer responded, juvenile counselled, is now in house.

11:09 p.m. – Caller reported her daughter has alcohol in her room, 3100 block of Long. Officer responded, 15-year-old referred to juvenile department for minor in possession of alcohol.

11:17 p.m. – Caller reported a vehicle ran into a building, vehicle is unoccupied and still running, 4500 block of Main. Officer responded, report taken for hit and run, vehicle towed.

Dec. 19

3:12 a.m. – Caller reported two females involved in a physical disturbance, one female left on foot, 900 block of Timber. Officer responded, report taken for assault and disorderly conduct.

2:04 p.m. – Vehicle bearing license 440JLW repossessed from 600 block of 17th.

2:24 p.m. – Caller believes someone may have broken into her house and stolen her keys, 1300 block of Poplar. Officer responded, info noted, keys were likely misplaced.

2:36 p.m. – Caller reported a male trespassing on the old pallet mill property, 2210 Tamarack. Officer responded, contacted male and trespassed him from the property and railroad tracks.

7:22 p.m. – While on another call, officer located people with warrants, 41900 block of Marks Ridge. Tony Glenn McGowan, 34, cited and released on a Linn County warrant for a parole violation, and Madison Rutherford, 26, cited and released on a Linn County warrant for failure to appear on an original charge of possession of meth.

8:06 p.m. – Caller reported hearing gunshots in area, Cedar between 18th and Mountain View. Officer heard fireworks in area, unable to locate suspicious activity.

8:42 p.m. – Multiple callers reported hearing fireworks or gunshots around Birch and 23rd. Officer responded, checked area, unable to locate source.

Dec. 20

12:16 a.m. – Caller reported he believes his neighbor is poisoning his dog, 1200 block of 49th. Officer responded, report taken, investigation ongoing.

11:11 a.m. – Caller reported a suspicious vehicle just parked in front of her house, 1100 block of 22nd. The male occupant is repeatedly opening and closing his door. Officer responded, male gone on arrival. Caller advised to call back if she sees anything else.

12:32 p.m. – Caller reported there is so much water in her yard that she is unable to get to her front door, 1300 block of Poplar. Officer responded, assisted caller, water was ankle deep. Public works advised.

1:04 p.m. – Caller reported her house is flooded and a police report is needed for insurance purposes, 3800 block of Long. Office responded, info noted, Red Cross advised.

2:23 p.m. – Caller reported his neighbor is wandering around his house, 1900 block of Kalmia. Officer responded, contacted the mentioned female as well as her caregiver. Caregiver is doing what she can to change the living situation. Caller advised, info forwarded to senior services.

2:43 p.m. – Caller is locked out of his vehicle, 300 block of Pine. Officer responded, entry gained with no apparent damage. William Blake Keeney, 20, cited and released on a Linn County warrant for a parole violation.

7:07 p.m. – Multiple callers reported a female throwing trash in the roadway, 1300 block of Long. Officer responded, female having mental health problems, will work on picking up trash.

11:23 p.m. – Callers reported hearing fireworks and seeing a silver car speed away from the area, 4100 block of Main
