4:37 p.m. – Caller reported his vehicle was hit, and the other driver left, 900 block of Poplar. Caller found the other driver down the road and got her information. Officer responded. Investigation continuing. More than $1,500 in damages. No injuries.

10:15 p.m. – Caller reported a male ate food in the store without paying for it and then left when confronted, 1540 Main St., Safeway. Report taken. Caller did not want subject arrested. He just wanted the subject counseled for his actions.
11:56 p.m. – Daniel J. Browand, 21, arrested on Sweet Home warrant for failure to appear on original charge of second-degree criminal trespass and Lebanon warrant for contempt of court and probation violation on original charge of third-degree theft and cited for possession of less than an ounce of marijuana, 1200 12th Ave., Chewy’s. Cited and released.
1:32 p.m. – Caller reported that someone pretending to be with the gas company was in his yard, 1700 block of 12th. When he called the gas company, the company said no one was working in the area. Report taken for suspicious circumstances.

3:26 a.m. – Two callers reported an alarm at The Point Restaurant, 6305 Main St. Report taken for burglary. It did not appear anything was taken, but the building and equipment were damaged.

9:43 a.m. – George Josef Drexler, 40, arrested on Sweet Home warrant for failure to appear on original charge of third-degree theft, Linn County. Cited and released.
9:51 a.m. – Joshua Lee Roebuck, 27, arrested on Linn County warrant for failure to appear on original charges of second-degree burglary, second-degree criminal mischief and third-degree theft and Lebanon Justice Court warrant for failure to appear on a criminal citation, 1950 Main St., Sweet Home Police Department.
11:08 a.m. – Thomas Charles Trotts, 40, arrested on state warrant for failure to appear on original charge of possession of meth, east end of mill property off 43rd Avenue.
12:11 p.m. – Eric Adam Wright, 38, arrested on Linn County warrant for probation violation on original charges of first-degree burglary, second-degree burglary and possession of meth, 1950 Main St., Sweet Home Police Department.

5:10 p.m. – David Andrew Kirby, 36, arrested for second-degree criminal trespass, 1980 Main St., Bi-Mart. Caller reported a male was outside the store soliciting customers to buy him canned air. Male had been trespassed from the store previously.
5:17 p.m. – Joshua K. Cline, 22, arrested for violation of release agreement, 27200 block of High Deck. Caller had reported two subjects with no contact orders against each other at the same address.
6:03 p.m. – Michael Lee Winfrey, 34, arrested on Lebanon warrant for failure to comply on original charge of third-degree theft and probation violation and Linn County warrant for failure to comply on original charge of third-degree theft, 1250 Nandina St. Transported to Linn County Jail.
6:47 p.m. – A vehicle ran into the back of a log truck, 800 block of Fifth. No injuries. No citations. Log truck undamaged. Vehicle damaged.

4:53 a.m. – Caller reported the theft of a 1987 Toyota pickup, 41800 block of North River. Report taken.
8:05 a.m. – Caller reported a yellow Ford Courier pickup submerged in Green Peter Reservoir. Access was difficult by land, so a boat was used to attempt identification of the vehicle. No one was around or inside. No ID numbers were located, and the Corps of Engineers planned to remove the vehicle.
10:17 a.m. – Vehicle crashed into a ditch, 38600 block of Highway 228. No injuries. No citations.
3:22 p.m. – Caller reported that a UPS delivery was stolen from her front porch, 1000 block of First. Report taken. Loss valued at $328.
3:53 p.m. – Caller reported that her vehicle was hit sometime during the day, Sweet Home area. Report taken. Damage estimated at $1,000.

4 a.m. – Caller reported encountering two males on his property, 42100 block of McDowell Creek. Upon contact, they left the area. Shortly afterward, the caller discovered his 4×4 ATV had been moved near the roadway as if the suspects planned to steal it. Report taken.

9:55 p.m. – Vehicle versus horse collision, 26700 block of Rowell Hill. Shetland pony at large in the area was struck and killed by a vehicle. The vehicle was damaged but no one was injured.
