Dec. 4

1:21 a.m. – Roy Allen Sparhawk, 44, arrested on Lebanon warrant for probation violation and Linn County warrant for failure to appear, 305 Seventh Ave. Cited and released.

2:58 a.m. – Jamison Page Weist, 51, cited for operating an unsafe vehicle in a single-vehicle crash, Long and 43rd. No injuries.

10:17 a.m. – Caller found a bike in her yard, 1530 Tamarack St., Mountain Shadows. Bike placed in found property.

10:24 a.m. – Samuel Armstrong Monroe Jr., 39, arrested for first-degree criminal trespass, 1323 Hawthrone St. Caller had reported a male entering the backyard of a vacant residence.

10:36 a.m. – Caller reported that he purchased a vehicle the previous night and left it parked at 1025 Long St., Bohemian Tavern, but it was gone. Vehicle was not registered to the caller. Officer issued an attempt to locate.

10:52 a.m. – Callers reported a restraining order violation, 2000 Main St., McDonald’s. It wasn’t clear if a violation occurred. Report forward to district attorney for review.

12:10 p.m. – Caller reported his vehicle was entered during the night, 1530 Tamarack St., Mountain Shadows. Report taken.

12:34 p.m. – Caller reported an overdose, 1000 block of 15th. Male transported to Samaritan Lebanon Community Hospital by medics.

12:34 p.m. – Devan Timothy Devlin, 33, cited for dangerous left turn in two-vehicle crash, Pleasant Valley and Highway 20. Second driver, Robin Virginia Swindall, 53, transported to Samaritan Lebanon Community Hospital by medics.

Dec. 3

2:11 a.m. – Multiple callers reported two or three loud explosions, 1200 block of Evergreen. Officer unable to locate any obvious sign of what could have caused the noise.

6:06 a.m. – Caller reported a truck with a camp trailer parked over night on private property, 621 Main St., Thriftway. Officer contacted a male, who said he was waiting for the store to open and would be on his way shortly.

7:33 a.m. – Caller reported a vehicle parked in Strawberry Park overnight. Officer contacted a male who said he was just parked there talking to a friend.

9:38 a.m. – Caller reported that someone stole her Christmas lights, 4200 block of Osage. Report taken. Loss valued at $40.

10:09 a.m. – Caller reported a boat parked in a way that forced pedestrians to walk in the road to go around it, 600 block of Mountain View. Owner was making arrangements to move it to a driveway.

10:58 a.m. – Caller reported that someone was throwing marbles in his yard during the night, 700 block of Eighth. He told them to stop, but it continued. Unknown who was responsible. No damage. Information noted.

11:08 a.m. – Caller reported finding a theft in video footage, 3041 Main St., Hoy’s Hardware. Report taken. Loss valued at $38.

2:22 p.m. – Caller reported a bike left in a yard, 2200 block of Ironwood. Placed in found property.

4:29 p.m. – Caller reported a customer left a purse behind, 2000 Main St., McDonald’s. Purse placed in found property.

6:11 p.m. – Caller reported a male possibly sleeping in a vehicle, Redwood and 12th.

6:26 p.m. – Caller reported a ladder stolen, 1100 block of 42nd. Report taken.

7:47 p.m. – Caller reported a bike left against a curb, 1000 block of Nandina. Bike placed in found property.

8:43 p.m. – Paul William Kalina, 41, arrested on Linn County warrant for probation violation on original charge of possession of meth and Sweet Home warrant for theft of services and second-degree criminal mischief, 3100 block of Main. Transported to Linn County Jail.

10:18 p.m. – Caller reported her son and another juvenile were smoking marijuana at the other juvenile’s house while the parents were in the living room, 1200 block of Second. Officer provided options. Information noted.

Dec. 2

5:58 p.m. – Caller reported a neighbor’s dog barking constantly and keeping her awake, 1200 block of 23rd. Animal quiet upon officer arrival. Officer advised owners of the complaint. The owners said they would work on keeping it quiet.

10:34 a.m. – Caller reported the theft of a saw from a flatbed pickup, 800 block of Main. Report taken. Loss valued at $1,800.

11:18 a.m. – Brandon Matthew Moran, 23, cited for driving while suspended.

1:15 p.m. – Caller reported a customer had a video poker ticket stolen by another customer, who cashed it in, 1203 Long St, Allstar Pizza. Report taken.

1:38 p.m. – Caller reported his mother’s hearing aids stolen, 2900 block of Jefferson. Information noted.

2:53 p.m. – Joshua Scott Dawson, 37, arrested on Sweet Hoem warrant for failure to comply on original charge of third-degree theft, Linn County.

3:11 p.m. – Anita Renea Lewis, 36, arrested for third-degree theft, 3133 Main St. Cited and released.

3:25 p.m. – Caller reported subjects throwing punches in the street, 1300 block of 47th. They got into a black Camaro and a pickup truck and left. Officer responded. Everyone left prior to arrival.

3:51 p.m. – Caller reported that a subject lying in front of a doorway was making it difficult to open the door, 1200 block of Main. Officer assisted the male home.

4:11 p.m. – Caller located a stolen vehicle and waited till two males came out of a nearby location to approach them, 751 Main St., Money Man. The subjects left on foot. Report taken. Vehicle recovered. Officer unable to locate males.

7:39 p.m. – Jason Scott Sylvester, 41, arrested for harassment (domestic violence), 1950 Main St., Sweet Home Police Department. Cited and released.

8:21 p.m. – James Leroy Salvador, 25, arrested on Albany warrant for failure to appear on original charges of obstructing judicial administration and providing false information to a police officer and Sweet Home warrant for failure to appear on original charge of third-degree theft, Sweet Home Public Library. Caller had reported a male swinging nunchucks stepping into the street in front of her. Officer unable to locate the male.

8:28 p.m. – Caller found a lost dog, 2100 block of Long. Dog returned to owner.

9:58 p.m. – Caller reported that someone backed into the caller’s car while it was parked, 1400 block of 13th. Report taken for hit and run.

10:33 p.m. – Caller reported that a male with nunchucks entered the store and attempted to steal a sweatshirt from an employee but gave it back when confronted, 1540 Main St., Safeway. Caller wanted him contacted and trespassed from the store. Officer unable to locate but would look for the male subject.

11:24 p.m. – Scott Anthony Hall, 57, arrested on Sweet Home warrant for failure to comply on original charge of attempting to elude, Albany. Cited and released.

Dec. 1

11:27 a.m. – Caller reported $380 taken from her purse, 1500 block of 12th. Report taken.

1:03 p.m. – Caller reported that she drove through a fence and into a house, 1300 block of Poplar. No injuries. No citations. Report taken.

2:02 p.m. – Purse left on SHARE bus, 880 18th Ave., Jim Riggs Community Center. Purse placed in found property.

2:54 p.m. – Caller reported that a male got out of a black Toyota pickup with a crowbar and started beating on a Ford Ranger, 3200 block of Main. Both vehicles left north on Clark Mill. Officer contacted one subject involved. Possible road rage incident. The party did not wish any action.

4:57 p.m. – Raymond Joseph Mullenix, 49, arrested on Sweet Home warrant for failure to comply on original charge of harassment, Lebanon. Cited and released.

5:08 p.m. – Multnomah County Jail served a Sweet Home warrant for failure to appear on original charge of providing false information to a police officer on Brandon John Kirby.

5:44 p.m. – Steven Johnston, 44, turned in himself on Lincoln County warrants for driving under the influence and failure to appear on a citation, 1950 Main St. Transported to Linn County Jail.

6:40 p.m. – Caller reported a man on the sidewalk in front of Safeway, 1540 Main St., swinging nunchucks. Officer unable to locate.

11:24 p.m. – Caller reported two males with flashlights looking into mailboxes, Old Holley Road. Officer checked from city limits to Holley Market. Unable to locate.

Nov. 30

2:51 a.m. – Jacob Joseph Hughes, 18, arrested for third-degree rape (late log entry from Nov. 28). Alleged victim was a 15-year-old female. The specific charge is based on the difference in age. Cited and released.

7:40 a.m. – Caller reported witnessing a male smoking meth while standing on the corner of the street, and he was living in his vehicle, 1100 block of Juniper. Officer contacted the male who denied the allegations and planned to move his RV.

11 a.m. – Letter sent to registered owner of a vehicle that violated Oregon’s school bus stop law, 23rd and Main.

11:02 a.m. – Caller reported a window broken in a vacant building, 1200 block of main. Report taken.

11:48 a.m. – Ariel Shanea Kaping, 23, arrested on Linn County warrant for failure to appear on original charge of unauthorized use of a motor vehicle, 1283 44th Ave. Transported to Linn County Jail.

12:05 p.m. – Caller reported two males opening Fed Ex boxes behind The New Era, 1313 Main St. Officer responded and contacted an employee, who said another employee was opening boxes from a delivery.

12:07 p.m. – Caller reported that a male stole a pair of pants, 1023 Main St., Trash to Treasure. Report taken. Loss valued at $10.

1:14 p.m. – Caller reported that a female stole several items and left the area in a silver four-door car, 1540 Main St., Safeway. Report taken. Loss valued at $80 to $100.

1:28 p.m. – Dustin Kyle Coughran, 26, arrested for third-degree theft, 14th and Kalmia. Cited and released.

3:28 p.m. – Caller reported a male outside swinging nunchucks around, 1100 block of 13th. Officer unable to locate male.

3:38 p.m. – Caller reported that a male hit her in the face, 1100 block of 32nd. Officer contacted caller and responded to the location. Stories differed. Report taken for harassment. Report to be forward to district attorney for review.

4:19 p.m. – Steven Lawrence Barber, 64, cited for driving while suspended, 12th and Long. Two callers had reported a van driving over a sign on the sidewalk and leaving.

4:28 p.m. – Caller reported identity theft, 2200 block of Long. Report taken.

8:31 p.m. – Caller reported a deer had been hit and was still alive, 3200 block of Main. Officer dispatched deer and advised Oregon Department of Transportation.

9:09 p.m. – Caller reported a vehicle kept driving back and forth on the road with and without lights on, 19th and Willow. Officer responded and contacted a male who said he was looking for a house where he was promised free food.

9:30 p.m. – Caller reported a motor home parked on the street, 12th and Juniper. Officer contacted the owner, who said the keys were lost. As soon as the keys were found, the owner planned to move the vehicle. Officer advised the owner that if it remained parked there for several days, the RV would be towed.

Nov. 29

2:42 a.m. – Davy Anthony Phillips, 44, arrested on state warrant for parole violation on original charge of robbery, 18th and Tamarack. Transported to Linn County Jail.

7:28 a.m. – Caller reported that cars are not stopping for pedestrians using the crosswalk, 13th and Main. Officers to patrol as time allows.

7:40 a.m. – Caller reported Christmas lights stolen, 29th and Juniper. Report taken. Loss valued at $100.

10:49 a.m. – John Mark Taylor, 36, arrested on Sweet Home warrant for failure to appear on original charge of fourth-degree assault, Albany. Cited and released.

10:58 p.m. – Sarah Delight Fortune, 36, turned in herself on a Sweet Home warrant for failure to comply on original charge of driving under the influence, 1950 Main St., Sweet Home Police Department. Cited and released.

11:11 a.m. – Caller reported the theft of a wheelchair ramp, 1800 block of Ulex. Report taken. Loss valued at $1,800. Item recovered. Investigation continuing.

4:02 p.m. – Caller reported a physical disturbance among multiple subjects on Weddle Bridge, Sankey Park. Officer responded. Subjects separated prior to officer arrival. One half left prior to arrival. A male subject on the scene did not want to pursue charges. Officer advised him to stay away from the other.

4:20 p.m. – Caller brought a stay dog to the Police Department, 45th and Main. Dog placed in kennel, and dog control notified.

4:30 p.m. – Caller reported that someone stole her phone, 1641 Long St., Sweet Home High School. Caller recovered the phone, but the case was missing. Report taken.

6:36 p.m. – Caller reported his key stolen from his vehicle, 700 block of 29th. Report taken.

8:42 p.m. – Matthew James Dreyer, 43, cited for driving while suspended, 1500 Long St.

9:40 p.m. – Thomas Daniel Elmer, 45, cited for driving while suspended, 23rd and Long.

Nov. 28

4:21 a.m. – Caller reported a vehicle stopping and an occupant searching through mailboxes, 49th and Long. Officer unable to locate the vehicle.

7:55 a.m. – Caller reported that someone broke out her car’s window during the night, 1000 block of 12th. Report taken.

9:14 a.m. – Caller reported that a truck had been parked on the street for three days, and a male and female were sleeping in it, 1200 block of 49th. Officer contacted a couple who had run out of fuel. They were putting fuel into the truck and planned to be on their way.

9:16 a.m. – Caller reported a male in a white pickup truck shooting geese with a pellet gun, 29800 block of Santiam Terrace.

9:48 a.m. – Caller reported that someone vandalized her daughter’s car, 3224 Main St., South Fork trailer park. Report taken. Loss valued at $500.

11:40 a.m. – Caller said two dogs came into the road as she was jogging by and acted like they were going to attack her, 28500 block of Liberty. Both were pit bulls, one brown and one black. Report taken.

12:42 p.m. – Caller reported that she either forgot where she parked her car or it had been stolen, 1501 Main St., Speedee Mart. Caller reported finding her car.

1:05 p.m. – Caller reported that someone broke into his truck and things were missing, 100 block of Seventh. Report taken.

1:46 p.m. – Caller reported multiple thefts and wanted an officer to review video footage, 1501 Main St., Speedee Mart. Report taken.

4:18 p.m. – Victoria Marie Clark, 17, cited for failure to obey a traffic control device in two-vehicle crash, 12th and Main. One caller had reported an eastbound vehicle running a red light and then swerving, almost hitting a pedestrian. A second caller reported that she was in a non-injury motor vehicle collision. Report taken.

4:26 p.m. – Caller reported a male stealing items, 2405 Main St., Circle K. The store had video footage of the theft. Report taken.

4:42 p.m. – Caller reported piles of garbage in the back of a trailer, 57th Avenue. Referred to code enforcement.

4:59 p.m. – Caller reported that someone put garbage in the recycling bin, and bags were torn open, 610 Main St., Dan Dee Sales. Report taken.

5:23 p.m. – Robert Kevin Gardner, 51, cited on a Sweet Home warrant for misdemeanor driving while suspended, Linn County Jail.

5:36 p.m. – Caller reported the theft of Christmas lights, 700 block of Fifth. Report taken.

7:24 p.m. – Benjamin Chad Edwards, 39, arrested on Sweet Home warrant for harassment by Oregon State Police. Cited and released.

Nov. 27

11:13 a.m. – Caller said someone kicked in the door of her home, 28800 block of Weatherly. Christmas decorations and a weed eater were stolen. Report taken.

Nov. 23

3:56 a.m. – Caller said a truck was facing the wrong way and partially in the lane, 27900 block of Pleasant Valley Road. The truck was broken down, not currently registered and a hazard. Vehicle towed.

1:51 p.m. – Caller said she had a lien on a horse that was being kept at her property. The horse’s owners came and took the horse from her property. She wanted to know if she could legally put her own lock on a trailer left by the boarders who owe her money, thereby depriving them of their property until they paid. A deputy advised that she could not and needs to handle the payment issue and/or landlord/tenant issue through the civil process.
