a.m. – Caller reported an aggressive dog running loose along the

street, 1200 block of First. Caller referred to Linn County Dog

Control. Officer responded to attempt to ascertain ownership of the

dog. Dog would not let officer near. Officer contacted someone who

knew the dog’s owners and would attempt to contact the owners.

a.m. – Caller reported mail stolen from box, 2100 block of Main.

Before officer arrived, caller found letters on the ground.

10:59

a.m. – Caller reported an elderly female, who appeared confused,

walking down the highway, Main and Clark Mill. Officer responded.

Female was fine and walking home.

a.m. – Caller reported a male outside throwing wood in the driveway

and yelling at everyone, 4600 block of Main. Male trespassed from the

residence. There had been a small physical altercation between two

males, but neither wanted to pursue charges.

a.m. – Elbert Samuel Hackworth, 55, arrested on Lebanon warrant for

contempt of court on original charge of second-degree theft and

charged with probation violation, 1200 block of Tamarack. Cited and

released.

a.m. – Caller reported a possibly dangerous tree, 4500 block of Main.

Referred to code enforcement and the Tree Commission.

a.m. – Athena Lacie Noble, 29, arrested on Lebanon warrant for

failure to comply, 4610 Main St. Cited and released.

p.m. – Caller reported a vehicle was hit at the gas station, 1810

Main St. Loss estimated at $1,500. Report taken.

p.m. – Caller reported the theft of appliances valued at $2,500 on

Jan. 27, 4600 block of Long.

p.m. – Caller reported a large branch from her neighbor’s tree fell

on her porch, 1200 block of Linden. Referred to code enforcement and

Tree Commission.

p.m. – Caller reported multiple motor homes and vehicles in front

yard, 4100 block of Main. Referred to code enforcement.

p.m. – Caller reported residents burning garbage, 1300 block of 54th.

p.m. – Caller reported the theft of $6,724 in property, 1100 block of

Redwood. Report taken.

p.m. – Caller reported a vehicle in violation of city ordinance, 100

block of Seventh. Referred to code enforcement.

p.m. – Stephen Anthony Schmidt, 31, arrested on Sweet Home warrant

for failure to appear on original charge of providing false

information to a police officer; Linn County warrant for failure to

appear on original charge of unauthorized use of a motor vehicle;

Lebanon warrant for failure to appear on original charge of

second-degree theft; Lebanon warrant for contempt of court on

original charge of second-degree theft; and state warrant for parole

violation, 2440 Long St. Transported to Linn County Jail. Caller had

reported a male and female in front of their apartment, yelling and

screaming at each other.

p.m. – Megan Katherine Courtney, 26, arrested on Sweet Home warrant

for failure to appear on original charge of carrying a concealed

weapon, Benton County. Cited and released.

p.m. – Neil David Van Epps, 25, arrested on Lebanon warrant for

probation violation on original charge of third-degree theft, 1950

Main St., Sweet Home Police Department. Transported to Lebanon Police

Department.

p.m. – Caller reported a dangerous tree, 100 block of Eighth.

Referred to code enforcement.

p.m. – Aaron David Ray Collins, 15, taken into custody on Linn County

warrant for failure to appear on original charges of resisting arrest

and third-degree theft and referred to Juvenile Department for minor

in possession of tobacco, 300 W. Holley. Transported to Linn-Benton

Juvenile Detention Center.

p.m. – Kerry Matthew Goodpasture, 52, cited for no license, Main

Street at Hoy’s.

p.m. – Bradley Edward Amundsen, 33, cited and released in field on

Linn County warrant for unauthorized departure, Long and Kalmia.

p.m. – Caller reported her gun was stolen from her house about two

weeks earlier, 26700 block of Old Holley. Report taken. Handgun

valued at $400.

p.m. – Caller reported a downed tree and other dangerous trees, 900

block of Oak Terrace. Referred to code enforcement.

p.m. – Caller reported a burglary, with less than $1,000 in property

stolen, 1400 block of Poplar.

p.m. – Carson Albert Strasser, 23, arrested for third-degree theft,

1540 Main St., Safeway. Cited and released. Caller had reported the

theft of property worth $40.88.

p.m. – Caller reported that her porch was egged, 1200 block of

Second. Report taken.

9:55

p.m. – Bobbi Jo Henson, 33, cited for driving while suspended and

driving uninsured, 2000 Main St., McDonald’s.

a.m. – Caller reported being out of power for a couple of days, 40400

block of Highway 228. Caller’s wife has a history of strokes and

they had not had any water and heat. Deputy provided water, and

caller said he had family members on their way to give assistance.

Everyone was fine, and they were planning possibly to stay at a hotel

for a few days.

p.m. – Caller reported a pickup pulling a sled with a small child in

it, 26700 block of Rowell Hill. Deputy contacted subjects and told

them to stop pulling sleds on the county road.
