Feb. 15

2:50p.m. – Caller reported cattle in the roadway, 39800 block of Mountain Home. Caller contained cattle prior to deputy arrival.

2:32 p.m. – Caller reported a burglary, 44000 block of North River. Investigation continuing.

Feb. 14

5:38 a.m. – Earl William Myers, 55, arrested on Sweet Home warrant for menacing, Salem.

9:01 p.m. – A male and female got their vehicle stuck in the snow on Canyon Creek Road and requested assistance believing they were lost on foot after leaving their vehicle. Deputies located them and transported them to a family member nearby.

11:04 p.m. – James Mortenson cited for careless driving and driving uninsured, 1300 block of 50th.

Feb. 13

1:18 a.m. – Ryan Dale Magee, 43, cited on Sweet Home warrant for failure to appear on original charge of second-degree disorderly conduct, Deschutes County Jail.

2:02 p.m. – Caller reported a stray dog at Thistle Creek Boat Ramp, 47300 block of Quartzville. Deputy was able to catch the dog and lodge it at Animal Control.

3:22 p.m. – Caller reported a vehicle was hit in the parking lot the previous day, 250 Main St., OK Feed. Report taken.

3:53 p.m. – Caller reported a bicycle had been in the bike rack since Feb. 11. Bicycle seized and placed in found property.

5:03 p.m. – Caller reported her computer was compromised by ransomware, 800 block of Main. Information noted. Caller advised of options.

5:29 p.m. – Caller reported that someone is fraudulently trying to rent a house through Craigslist that the subject does not own, 200 block of W. 5th. Information forwarded to Linn County Sheriff’s Office.

10:11 p.m. – Ty Robert Taylor, 29, arrested on Lebanon warrant for probation violation on original charge of second-degree criminal mischief and Sweet Home warrant for third-degree theft, 1950 Main St., Sweet Home Police Department. Cited and released.

Feb. 12

8:52 a.m. – Caller reported a goat loose in the roadway, 300 block of Holley Road. Prior to officer arrival, caller reported she was able to put the goat back in its yard.

9:22 a.m. – Caller reported a dog running loose, 1300 block of 43rd. Dog placed in kennel and then returned to owner.

9:52 a.m. – Caller reported a fence vandalized more than a week ago, 1530 Tamarack St., Tamarack Ridge Estates. Information noted at caller’s request.

9:54 a.m. – Caller reported soda bottles stolen, 1530 Tamarack St., Tamarack Ridge Estates. Report taken. Loss valued at $22.

10:23 a.m. – Joshua Kealohanui Ben Leslie, 31, arrested for second-degree criminal trespass.

11:06 a.m. – A 16-year-old male referred to Juvenile Department for second-degree criminal mischief, 400 block of Ironwood. Caller reported her teenage son was out of control and throwing rocks at her vehicle.

11:39 a.m. – Caller reported receiving a fake $10 bill, Sweet Home Liquor. Report taken.

3:08 p.m. – Scott Kevin Heinz, 32, arrested on Sweet Home warrant for failure to comply on original charge of driving under the influence, Linn County.

4:08 p.m. – Caller reported mail stolen, 900 block of Oak Terrace. Information noted.

Feb. 11

3:21 a.m. – Caller reported that a male took wine without paying for it, 2405 Main St., 7-Eleven. Report taken. Loss valued at $22.

6:11 a.m. – Caller reported cans taken from his residence, 000 block of Osage. Report taken.

7:47 a.m. – Caller reported a female dumping garbage at location where she is not a resident, 2400 block of Long. Officer contacted the female who said she picked up the trash along the fence line between her property and the other property. She dumped the trash into the complex dumpster. Female warned for theft of services.

8:46 a.m. – Report taken for a sex offense, 18th Lane.

9:20 a.m. – Michael Dashawn Ferebee, 40, turned himself in on Sweet Home warrant for failure to comply on original charge of second-degree disorderly conduct, 1950 Main St., Sweet Home Police Department. Cited and released in lobby.

12:55 p.m. – A 15-year-old juvenile referred to Juvenile Department for harassment and second-degree disorderly conduct, Skate Park.

2:14 p.m. – Caller reported a bike lock stolen, 1300 block of Medowlark. Report taken. Loss valued at $10.

4:09 p.m. – Caller reported finding a suitcase, Sweet Home Genealogical Society, 13th and Kalmia. Placed in found property.

Feb. 10

10:05 a.m. – Caller reported a male and female sleeping on the side of the road, 1800 block of Tamarack. Caller honked at them, and they didn’t move. Officer contacted a female. She was fine. She gathered her belongings and left. Officer advised her of the laws about sleeping on the roadway.

10:25 a.m. – Deputy found a dog running loose on Liberty Road. He followed it home and warned the owner for dog at large and failure to license.

10:37 a.m. – Tyler Young, 19, arrested for third-degree rape, 900 block of 7th. Cited and released.

11:17 a.m. – Caller reported homeless females and males at location, 1266 15th Ave., ATF Services, former location of Wells Fargo. Males gone upon officer arrival. Female trespassed from location and advised to pack her belongings and be on her way.

1:06 p.m. – Caller found a puppy running loose, 1118 Main St., O’Reilly Auto Parts. Dog returned to owner.

3:26 p.m. – Caller reported receiving a fraudulent check in the mail, 1303 Long St., Sweet Home Post Office. Caller did not lose any money to the scam. Information noted.

3:28 p.m. – Caller reported dogs loose in the area, 17th near Elm. Officer unable to locate.

Feb. 9

8:59 a.m. – Caller reported a dog hit by a vehicle, W. Holley and Gilbert. Dog located and returned to owner.

9:14 a.m. – Caller reported that someone attempted to break into his residence, 1200 block of Clark Mill. Report taken.

1:34 p.m. – Austyn Mitchell Lee Clark, 26, arrested on Sweet Home warrant for failure to appear on original charge of criminal driving while suspended, Albany.

1:45 p.m. – Caller found needles near the swing set, 1712 11th Ave., Northside Park. Officer seized and disposed of them.

7:25 p.m. – Crystal Dawn Strickland, 30, arrested on Linn County warrant for failure to appear on original charge of distribution of methamphetamine; Benton County warrant for possession of meth, criminal driving while revoked and failure to appear on a criminal citation; and Sweet Home warrant for failure to comply on original charge of criminal driving while revoked, 2100 block of Long. Cited and released.

10:21 p.m. – Luke Kenneth Buehner, 36, arrested on Sweet Home warrant for failure to appear on original charge of harassment and Linn County warrant for failure to appear on original charge of contempt of court and two criminal citations, 28100 block of Riggs Hill. Transported to Linn County Jail.

Feb. 8

8:13 a.m. – Caller reported two dogs tethered together and running loose, Mountain View and Cedar. Officer unable to locate.

9:09 a.m. – Caller reported a loose dog in the caller’s yard, 800 block of 7th. Dog placed in kennel until a responsible person could pick it up.

9:36 a.m. – Caller found a bicycle, 1400 block of Nandina. Placed in found property.

10:33 a.m. – Caller reported his landlord trespassed on the caller’s property, 900 block of 15th. Report taken. Investigation continuing.

12:12 p.m. – Shawn Stanley Pruitt arrested on Sweet Home warrant for failure to appear on original charge of criminal driving while suspended, Linn County.

12:31 p.m. – Caller reported a male was unconscious, with needles lying around him, in the bathroom for 20 minutes, 1203 Long St., All Star Pizza. When the person reporting called medics, the male awoke and left. Officer contacted the male, who denied a consent search. The male was trespassed from the location and evaluated by medics.

Feb. 7

2:10 p.m. – Donald Glenn Rodgers, 56, arrested for second-degree disorderly conduct, Clark Mill and Main. Caller had reported a subject riding a furniture dolly in traffic, causing vehicles to have to stop.

3:18 p.m. – Caller reported a neighbor’s dog chased her into her home, 600 block of 3rd. Owner placed the dog in her house. Officer counseled the owner for dog at large.

5:27 p.m. – Cody Isaiah Milligan, 23, arrested on Sweet Home warrant for failure to appear on original charge of harassment, Lebanon warrant for probation violation on original charge of minor in possession and Albany warrant for failure to comply on original charge of second-degree criminal trespass, Main and 54th.

6:30 p.m. – Bob Lee Davis, 58, cited for dog at large, 400 block of Elm. Caller had reported that a dog jumped into his backyard and got into a fight with the caller’s dog then chased it into his house and bit the caller’s wife.

8:16 p.m. – Nathaniel David Richardson, 26, cited for failure to obey traffic control device, Sweet Home Sanitation.

10:24 p.m. – Macayla Marie Jimenez, 23, arrested on two Sweet Home warrants for failure to appear on original charge of third-degree theft and failure to appear on original charge of theft by receiving, Lebanon.
