Feb. 24

11:31 a.m. – Caller reported a syringe on the roadside, 44th near Main. Syringe seized.

Feb. 23

12:23 a.m. – Tyrone Paul Perrine, 46, cited for driving uninsured and no license, 1540 Main St., Safeway.

9:21 a.m. – Caller reported the theft of the front license plate from her vehicle during the night, 2800 block of Kalmia. Report taken.

10:17 a.m. – Caller dropped off a Jeep key and fob he found in the Safeway parking lot, 1540 Main St. Seized as found property.

12:53 p.m. – Caller reported finding a wallet near construction on 37th Circle. Seized as found property.

2:48 p.m. – Nathan Allen Deffenbaugh, 37, cited and released on Lebanon warrant for failure to appear on a criminal citation and Sweet home warrants for failure to appear on two charges of third-degree theft, 1306 Main St., Shell.

4:14 p.m. – Joshua David Denbo, 19, arrested for second-degree assault in connection to an incident on Feb. 8, 1950 Main St., Sweet Home Police Department. Transported to Linn County Jail.

1:58 p.m. – Thomas Edwin Horn, 61, cited for failure to renew registration, Long near 12th.

Feb. 22

12:12 a.m. – Caller reported a male at Chewy’s with a gun, and the male had threatened to use it on someone, 1200 12th Ave. Officer responded. The male had broken a bottle and cut another male in the chest with the bottle. The victim refused medical treatment. The cut was superficial. Officers checked surrounding areas for the suspect but were unable to locate him.

9:08 a.m. – Martin Paul Anderson, 63, cited for failure to use seatbelt, 4100 block of Main.

11 a.m. – Christian Jensen Jr., 70, cited for failure to use seatbelt, Main near 24th.

11:41 a.m. – Ben Stuart Jones, 53, cited for operating a vehicle while using a mobile communications device, Main near Ninth.

12:26 p.m. – Joshua David Jacob, 24, cited and released in field on Lebanon warrant for probation violation, 3224 Main St., South Fork Mobile Home Park.

2:32 p.m. – Sarah Kathern Rodgers, 33, cited and released in field on Lebanon warrant for contempt of court and probation violation, 2434 Main St.

4:53 p.m. – Caller reported that all of the cash was stolen from an ATM at Speedee Mart, 1501 Main St. Suspect fled in a blue vehicle. Officer responded. ATM was not damaged. Unknown if it ever opened. Investigation continuing.

6:05 p.m. – Caller from Samaritan Lebanon Community Hospital reported a male had been assaulted in Sweet Home, 1025 Long St., Bohemian Tavern. Officer attempted to interview the male. The male was unable to respond at the time due to state of mind and injuries. Officer would attempt to contact at a later time.

Feb. 21

10:55 a.m. – Caller reported a hot tub stored in a driveway, 2200 block of Larch. Referred to code enforcement.

11:21 a.m. – Tony Scott Harden, 22, arrested on Sweet Home warrant for failure to comply on original charge of second-degree criminal mischief, 18th and railroad tracks. Cited and released.

12:42 p.m. – Caller reported a subject driving a riding lawnmower while pulling a child in a trailer, 10th and Alder. Unable to locate.

2:14 p.m. – Gary Gean Townsend, 32, arrested on Benton County warrant for second-degree theft and second-degree criminal trespass, 12th and Tamarack. Cited and released.

4:44 p.m. – Joshua Kealohanui Ben Leslie, 26, arrested on Sweet Home warrant for failure to comply on original charge of second-degree disorderly conduct, 18th and Long. Cited and released.

4:46 p.m. – Caller reported finding a wallet, 1300 block of Main. Property seized.

5:14 p.m. – Vehicle versus bicyclist crash, 12th and Main. No serious injury. Bicyclist warned for failure to obey traffic control device.

6:31 p.m. – Caller reported a male just walked out with a hand basket full of food without paying, 1540 Main St., Safeway. Report taken.

10:30 p.m. – Rochelle Arquette Zamacona, 21, arrested on Sweet Home warrant for failure to comply on original charge of second-degree trespass. Cited and released.

11:10 p.m. – Ericka Summer Hathaway, 27, cited for driving while suspended, Main and 15th.

Feb. 20

12:29 a.m. – Caller reported that a male intentionally put a used bandage in her soup, 3200 block of Main. She ate some of the soup before discovering it. Report taken. Information to be forwarded to the district attorney for review.

8:30 a.m. – Jerald Lynn Chasteen, 33, arrested on Klamath County warrants for failure to appear on three counts of possession of meth and failure to appear on original charge of improper use of 9-1-1.

9:18 a.m. – Caller reported vandalism to Weddle Bridge, 877 14th Ave., Sankey Park. Report taken. Damage estimated at $50.

11:32 a.m. – Eric Daniel Grimm, 41, arrested for contempt of court, 1140 12th Ave., Sweet Home Municipal Court. Transported to Linn County Jail.

11:53 a.m. – Caller reported multiple vehicles and barking dogs, 4700 block of Long. Referred to code enforcement.

3:36 p.m. – Joshua David Robertson (AKA Joshua David Rice), 22, arrested on Lebanon warrant for failure to comply on a traffic citation; Linn County supervisory warrant for failure to comply on original charge of failure to perform the duties of a driver; Sweet Home warrant for failure to appear on original charge of second-degree criminal mischief and charged with four counts of first-degree criminal mischief, 28744 Hwy. 20. Transported to Linn County Jail.

4:14 p.m. – David Paul Gruewell, 47, turned himself in on Linn County warrant for failure to appear on original charge of possession of meth, 1950 Main St., Sweet Home Police Department.

9:11 p.m. – Daniel Lee Kellum, 38, cited on Sweet Home warrant for failure to comply on original charge of third-degree theft, Linn County Jail.

9:23 p.m. – Brenda Lee Drown, 53, cited for no license, 1540 Main St., Safeway.

10:59 p.m. – Amanda Rae Stafford, 38, arrested on state warrant for parole violation, 1237 Nandina St. Transported to Linn County Jail.

Feb. 19

9:50 a.m. – Caller reported large amounts of bagged garbage, 4600 block of Long. Referred to code enforcement.

9:53 a.m. – Caller reported numerous vehicles in the front yard, 3600 block of Green River. Referred to code enforcement.

9:55 a.m. – Caller reported piles of debris, making it difficult to see down the roadway, Surrey and Ames Creek. Referred to code enforcement.

11:46 a.m. – Caller reported rotting pumpkins and garbage in front of a house, 1900 block of 37th. Referred to code enforcement.

11:47 a.m. – Caller reported a camper and boat parked in a front yard, 3600 block of Green River. Referred to code enforcement.

1 p.m. – Stolen vehicle recovered, 800 block of Main.

1:54 p.m. – Caller reported a backpack with two gas cans in the bushes, 700 block of Ninth. Property seized.

2:18 p.m. – Caller reported a dangerous tree, 300 block of Strawberry Loop. Referred to code enforcement.

3:48 p.m. – Calvin Alvin Ames, 48, arrested on contempt of court on a stalking order and for second-degree criminal trespass. Transported to Linn County Jail.

5:50 p.m. – Caller reported finding a cell phone in the bottle room, 1540 Main St., Safeway. Property seized.

8:27 p.m. – Dylen Teague Defoor, 24, cited for driving while suspended and driving uninsured, Shell station.

11:22 p.m. – Brandin Martin Hugley, 26, cited for driving while suspended and driving uninsured, 1183 23rd Ave.

Feb. 18

11:25 a.m. – Caller reported a shoplifter on video, 3000 block of Main. Report taken for theft of $9.99 in property.

11:29 a.m. – Caller reported that someone broke a window out of his vehicle with a rock, 2400 block of Long. Report taken. Damage valued at $100.

1:44 p.m. – Michael David Earl Brock, 39, cited for speeding, 33-20, in a school zone, Mountain View and 22nd.

2:05 p.m. – Marion Lee Gardner, 43, arrested for third-degree theft and possession of meth, 2450 Main St. Cited and released.

4:20 p.m. – R.C. Phillips, 45, arrested for probation violation, 1950 Main St., Sweet Home Police Department.

9:03 p.m. – James Robert Warrington, 35, arrested for second-degree criminal trespass, 845 Sixth Ave. Caller had reported a male sneaking into the United Methodist Church and locking himself in the conference room with his dog.

11:23 p.m. – When a police officer attempted to conduct a traffic stop at the Pleasant Valley bridge, the driver left at a high rate of speed, pulling down a driveway on Ridgeway Road. Two males fled on foot, leaving a female passenger in the vehicle. Female allowed to leave and not charged. Sweet Home officers conducted an extensive search of the area with help from Linn County Sheriff’s Office and federal canine officers. Unable to locate. Report taken. Vehicle impounded.

Feb. 17

4:08 a.m. – Caller reported a single-vehicle crash, 44900 block of Quartzville. Driver was on his way to work and tried to dodge a deer, lost control and struck a tree. No injuries. No citations.

9:54 a.m. – Caller reported that someone is putting garbage in her can, 900 block of Main. Report taken.

12:06 p.m. – Caller reported finding a marijuana pipe, 2200 block of Main. Property seized.

2:03 p.m. – Caller reported a vehicle broken down in roadway, 22nd and Main. Officer assisted in traffic control until vehicle could be cleared from the road.

4:21 p.m. – Caller reported a vehicle parked at location for more than a week, 100 block of 10th. Stolen vehicle recovered and returned to Linn County owner.

4:45 p.m. – Caller reported that someone hit his vehicle and left without contacting him, 1300 block of Long. Report taken.

Feb. 16

9 a.m. – Caller reported neighbors have dug a hole in their backyard and are burying their trash, 300 block of Pine. Referred to code enforcement.

2:15 p.m. – Caller with Cascade Timber Consulting reported that a watchman on West Brush Creek spotted a bunch of people with two camp fires. Deputy located fires and warned persons not to have them.

3:21 p.m. – Caller reported finding a bicycle, 1100 block of Mountain View. Bike placed in property.

4:59 p.m. – Caller reported a silver Prius spinning cookies in the field behind the high school, 1641 Long St., and that the vehicle crossed Weddle Bridge. Officer contacted driver, who stated she was from out of town and did not realize the bridge was not meant for crossing. She said she became confused after crossing. No damage located. Driver warned.

5:49 p.m. – Caller reported witnessing a male assault a female. Officer responded. Verbal only. No visible injuries. Male left location when he saw officers. Officers pursued the male, who was driving an older Ford pickup. They terminated the pursuit at milepost 38 on Highway 20.

7:42 a.m. – Caller reported the theft of a bicycle worth $200, 1530 Tamarack St., Mountain Shadows Mobile Home Park. Report taken.

7:52 p.m. – Caller reported the theft of a license plate from a vehicle, 12th and main. Report taken.

8:47 p.m. – John Donald Rone arrested on Lebanon warrant for contempt of court on original charge of third-degree theft and probation violation and Albany warrants for failure to appear on original charges of disorderly conduct, overnight camping, third-degree theft, third-degree criminal mischief, and two counts of second-degree criminal trespass, 1825 Vine St. Held for detox and released.

11:46 p.m. – Caller reported hearing a vehicle hit garbage cans, which were scattered all over the roadway, 1300 block of First. Report taken. Officer located two destroyed trash cans, a broken headlight and a turn signal from a Toyota pickup.

Feb. 15

10:23 a.m. – Caller reported the theft of her son’s cell phone, 880 22nd Ave., Sweet Home Junior High. Report taken. Phone valued at $200.

7:53 p.m. – Doneeka Kiwanis Colburn, 21, arrested for third-degree theft and possession of meth, 12th and Main. Cited and released.

Feb. 14

2:35 p.m. – Bradley Edward Amundsen, 33, arrested for third-degree theft and possession of meth, 1501 Main St., Speedee Mart. Cited and released.

2:43 p.m. – Caller reported drainage channel blocked, 1200 block of 49th. Referred to code enforcement.

8:21 p.m. – Brian Anthony Fox, 21, arrested on Sweet Home warrant for failure to comply on original charge of third-degree theft; Linn County warrant for failure to comply on original charge of third-degree theft; state warrant for parole violation; and Philomath warrant for possession of marijuana within 1,000 feet of a school, 1530 Tamarack St., Mountain Shadows Mobile Home Park. Transported to Linn County Jail.

9:51 p.m. – Joseph Michael McCaslin, 23, arrested on Sweet Home warrant for failure to appear on original charge of unauthorized entry into a motor vehicle and charged with possession of meth and heroin, Seventh and Dogwood. Transported to Linn County Jail.
