2:04 a.m. – Aaron William Hicks, 27, cited for failure to obey traffic control device, and Teresa Ann Gardner, 25, cited for open container in vehicle, 12th and Long.

11:12 a.m. – Caller reported fuel taken from his vehicle, 1300 block of Quince. Report taken. Fuel valued at $20.

6:49 p.m. – Christopher Thomas Meredith, 26, arrested for third-degree theft and contempt of court and on Linn County warrant for failure to appear on original charge of unauthorized use of a motor vehicle, 1540 Main St., Safeway. Cited and released.

7:17 p.m. – Officer found a bicycle, Northside Park. Property seized.

7:43 p.m. – Call reported someone was bitten by a dog, 1000 block of 15th. Dog quarantined.

9:37 p.m. – Caller reported the theft of his bicycle, 1500 block of Tamarack. Report taken.

8:59 a.m. – Caller reported a possible intruder, 3500 block of Juniper. Report taken.

10:26 a.m. – Caller reported owners of property refuse to pay garbage service and property is overrun with rodents and garbage, 3200 block of Main. Referred to code enforcement.

10:41 a.m. – Caller reported the theft of a security camera, Midway Grocery, 3239 Main St. Report taken. Camera valued at $200.

4:21 p.m. – Caller reported her medication stolen, 2200 block of Main. Report taken.

5:05 p.m. – Caller reported a driver smoking something, 1501 Speedee Mart. Officer contacted driver who had been vaping with an e-cigarette that was still plugged in.

5:13 p.m. – Caller reported improper posting of signage, 700 block of Fourth. Referred to code enforcement.

5:14 p.m. – Caller reported improper posting of signage, 500 block of Ironwood. Referred to code enforcement.

7:17 p.m. – Bradley Edward Amundsen, 34, arrested on Sweet Home warrant for failure to comply on original charge of possession of a controlled substance within 1,000 feet of a school and cited for possession of less than an ounce of marijuana, Post Office. Cited and released.

8:33 p.m. – James Cardines Doherty, 56, arrested on Sweet Home warrant for failure to appear on original charge of fourth-degree assault, Corvallis.

9:22 p.m. – Caller reported he is a friend of the residents and staying in an RV, 2600 block of Harding. Referred to code enforcement.

11:39 p.m. – Katherine Ann Belcher, 41, cited for driving while suspended and driving uninsured, McDonald’s.

Aug. 14

1:57 a.m. – Caller reported that he was out with an elderly woman who seemed confused, Highway 20 in the eastbound Narrows. Officer gave female a courtesy transport to her residence and left her in the care of her husband.

7:44 a.m. – Robyn Gayle Zook, 33, arrested for property hit and run, 12th and Long. Cited and released. Caller had reported a vehicle hitting a stop sign. Stop sign damaged.

8:56 a.m. – Caller reported tall grass and weeds, 4800 block of Long. Referred to code enforcement.

9:06 a.m. – Caller reported someone tried to break into her house, 1200 block of 23rd. The deadbolt has been hard to lock, and plate on the inside came up missing. Information noted.

10:23 a.m. – Ladonna Gayle Bales, 38, arrested on Lebanon warrant for probation violation on original charge of third-degree theft, Long and Oak Terrace. Transported to Lebanon Police Department.

11:22 a.m. – Katie Witt, 23, cited for dog at large, 1211 49th Ave. Caller reported an aggressive dog who bit a minor. Minor refused medical treatment. Dog returned to owner, secured and quarantined at home.

11:39 a.m. – Caller reported several items taken, 900 block of Birch.

12:38 p.m. – Caller reported finding a wallet, 1300 block of Main. Property seized.

1:21 p.m. – Caller reported the theft of a bicycle, 1540 Main St., Safeway. Report taken. Bike valued at $200.

2 p.m. – Caller reported a man lying in a planter, 900 block of Main. Officer responded. Male was fine and asked to move on.

4:28 p.m. – Caller reported a male left without paying for fuel, 2295 Main St., Fast Gas. Report taken.

7:26 p.m. – Caller reported a male subject walking a dog. The male was jerking the dog clear off the ground by the leash, 1100 block of 12th. Officer contacted the male and advised him how he should treat the dog. The officer did not witness any abuse, but neighbors were also yelling at the male.

8:47 a.m. – Caller reported finding a backpack and bolt cutters in her front yard, 1000 block of Second. Items seized.

10:16 a.m. – Caller reported properties with tall grass, 1200 block of 40th. Referred to code enforcement officer.

11:46 a.m. – Rebecca Charlene Fox, 17, taken into custody for first-degree theft in connection to a theft reported on Aug. 5. Cited and released.

11:58 a.m. – Caller reported that it looks like someone attempted to break into her residence, 1300 block of Poplar. Report taken.

12:50 p.m. – Jacob Lynn Goodwin, 19, arrested for first-degree theft in connection to a theft reported on Aug. 5. Cited and released.

2:29 p.m. – Caller reported the theft of a quad and two fishing poles, 1300 block of Poplar. Report taken. Quad valued at $3,000.

4:16 p.m. – Caller reported an ongoing garage sale for the past six weeks, 1800 block of Long. Referred to code enforcement.

4:17 p.m. – Caller reported subjects living in an RV in a parking lot, 2400 block of Main. Referred to code enforcement.

5:42 p.m. – Caller reported that while parked at location, someone stabbed a hole in his tires, 1600 block of Dogwood. Report taken.

12:18 a.m. – Caller reported a female took his food stamps card, 500 block of Surrey Lane. Information noted.

11:03 a.m. – Caller reported subjects living in a travel trailer for more than three weeks, 4000 block of Osage. Referred to code enforcement.

1:01 p.m. – Caller reported the theft of a flatbed car trailer, 4300 block of Main. Report taken.

1:10 p.m. – When an officer attempted to arrest a male on a warrant, the male fled on foot, Highway 228 and Long. Report taken for escape and disorderly conduct.

1:21 p.m. – Caller reported that someone ransacked the caller’s house, 5300 block of Main. Report taken. About $5,000 in personal property stolen.

2:34 p.m. – Jacob Evans Tanner Watkins, 18, arrested on Sweet Home warrant for failure to appear on original charge of third-degree theft, Lebanon. Cited and released.S

4:12 p.m. – Caller reported the theft of her daughter’s bicycle, 1600 block of Dogood. Report taken. Bike worth $170.

5:07 p.m. – Caller reported the theft of a glass pipe from L&M Smoke Shop, 1223 Main St. Report taken. Pipe valued at $54.95.

7:14 p.m. – Tony Ray Picard, 27, arrested on Linn County warrant for contempt of court, 1237 Nandina St. Cited and released.

10:05 p.m. – Caller reported that a package was delivered to her doorstep during the day by UPS, and it was not there, 4600 block of Long. Report taken. Missing item valued at $108.

10:27 p.m. – Caller reported the theft of a pressure washer from her yard, 1000 block of North River. Report taken.

Aug. 11

8:12 a.m. – Caller reported someone driving away without paying for fuel, 1810 Main St., Main Street Market. Investigation continuing.

10:24 a.m. – Caller reported that dogs killed his cat, 100 block of W. Nandina. Investigation continuing.

11:17 a.m. – Caller reported a constantly barking dog, 1700 block of 11th. Referred to code enforcement.

11:38 a.m. – Caller reported that his bicycle had been stolen, 2400 block of Main. Report taken.

12:01 p.m. – Caller reported someone tried to pry open a back door, 4800 block of Main. Report taken.

1:42 p.m. – Caller reported a male hanging out at the Clear Lake resort. He appeared disoriented and camping around the lake the previous five days. He told the caller he was trying to be a mountain man, but he is not good at it. He has been buying his meals at the diner at the resort. At this time, the male is not doing anything wrong or illegal. The caller would let law enforcement know if he begins causing problems. No further action.

2:36 p.m. – Jesse Lane Davis, 19, arrested on Sweet Home warrant for failure to appear on original charge of third-degree theft, Albany. Cited and released.

3:37 p.m. – Robert Norman Jaques, 33, arrested for second-degree criminal trespass, 12th and Nandina. Cited and released.

5:02 p.m. – Caller reported tall grass, 4500 block of Airport Lane. Referred to code enforcement.

5:06 p.m. – Caller reported miscellaneous household items stored in a yard, 1100 block of 27th. Referred to code enforcement officer.

7:05 p.m. – Caller reported that someone entered her vehicle and stole her purse, 25200 block of Rice Road. Report taken.

7:12 p.m. – Caller reported a transient in his backyard talking to herself, 1000 block of First. Officer responded. Female gone on arrival. Caller did not want her trespassed at this time. Officer would be on the lookout.

8:27 p.m. – Caller reported a female walking in the street, 1000 block of Main. Officer contacted the female, advised her of the complaint and warned her for unlawful positioning of a pedestrian in the roadway.

9:28 p.m. – David Ray Pierce, 11, taken into custody and referred to the Juvenile Department for two counts of fourth-degree assault and strangulation, 2458 Long St. Released to parents. Caller had reported an out-of-control 11-year-old threatening family members.

11:56 p.m. – Officer posted motor home for removal by Aug. 15, 1400 block of 14th.

Aug. 10

2:22 p.m. – Shawn Michael Gali, 36, arrested on Lebanon warrant for probation violation on original charge of third-degree theft, 1810 Main St., Main Street Market. Transported to Lebanon Police Department.

5:21 p.m. – Todd Buddy James Waterman, 31, arrested on Sweet Home warrant for second-degree disorderly conduct and misdemeanor driving while suspended and Linn County warrant for failure to register as a sex offender, 1900 block of Main.

9:09 p.m. – Caller reported that he laid down his wallet and then it was gone, 800 block of Main. Report taken.

9:36 p.m. – Robert Norman Jaques, 33, arrested for second-degree criminal trespass, 904 14th Ave. Cited and released.

Aug. 9

3:20 p.m. – Miguel Alfredo Gutierrez, 31, arrested for trespassing, third-degree criminal mischief and possession of meth, 1540 Main St., Safeway. Cited and released. Caller had reported a male inside the store “screaming and throwing stuff.”

3:42 p.m. – Caller reported a male stealing a beer, 1540 Main St., Safeway. Report taken.

3:53 p.m. – Park ranger reported a hit and run at the boat ramp, Sunnyside Park. Vehicle damaged the bumper of another vehicle. The driver attempted to fix the damage and then left the scene.

4:54 p.m. – Caller reported the theft of a cell phone worth $80, 1950 Main St., Sweet Home Police Department. Report taken.

5:17 p.m. – Caller reported six motorcycles passing cars on corners and driving fast, westbound Highway 20. Officer unable to locate.

5:38 p.m. – Nathan A. Deffenbaugh, 38, arrested on Sweet Home warrant for failure to appear on original charge of third-degree theft, Albany. Cited and released.

5:40 p.m. – Donald Ray Watkins, 50, arrested on Sweet Home warrant for failure to comply on original charge of third-degree theft, Lebanon. Cited and released.

7:43 p.m. – Caller reported that while he was on Facebook, he shared what looked like a government video, then he received a message by phone saying he is being flagged for watching child pornography, 44th Avenue. Officer responded. Information noted.

Aug. 8

8:58 p.m. – Caller reported a fight, 28100 block of Scott Mountain. Minor fight between two brothers. No arrest. Report sent to district attorney for review.

Aug. 7

8:27 a.m. – Tyler R. Axmaker Libby, 19, arrested for failure to perform the duties of a driver, reckless driving and two counts of recklessly endangering another person in single-car crash, 48200 block of Quartzville. Caller reported a hit and run. A 1998 Toyota Corolla was westbound near milepost 13 at a high rate of speed. It failed to negotiate a right curve, leaving a 168-foot straight-line skid mark through the initial part of the curve and then impacted a guardrail, ripping it from its posts and traveling another 20 feet. No signs of injuries.
