Jan. 11

1:03 p.m. – Deputy found the floating dock near Green Peter Dam flipped over while on patrol, 51100 block of Quartzville. U.S. Army Corps of Engineers advised.

Jan. 10

12:29 a.m. – Ryan Joseph Hutchinson, 30, cited and released in field on Sweet Home warrants for failure to comply on original charges of third-degree escape and second-degree criminal mischief, Wiley Creek Bridge.

11:24 p.m. – Caller reported cows in the roadway, 38500 block of Highway 228. Cows were returned to their pasture.

Jan. 9

12:47 a.m. – Nathaniel Ryan Hammett, 32, cited for driving while suspended, 300 W. Holley Road, Stonebrook Apartments.

10:22 a.m. – A juvenile taken into custody for theft of money, possession of marijuana and possession of tobacco, 41900 block of north River.

5:27 p.m. – Caller reported a license plate and bumper left where someone hit a power pole, 9th and Main. Report taken.

7:22 a.m. – Caller reported a vehicle with no license plated parked in the gravel and someone was sleeping in it, 1700 block of 9th. Officer responded. Vehicle was unoccupied. The vehicle was involved in the hit and run from the previous call. Officer collected evidence.

7:59 a.m. – Amy Lynn Wheeler, 43, cited for speeding, 41 in a 20-mph school zone.

11:05 p.m. – Donald Miller, 21, arrested for third-degree theft, 621 Main St., Thriftway. Cited and released.

11:14 a.m. – A 13-year-old male taken into custody and referred to Juvenile Department for harassment, third-degree escape and second-degree criminal mischief, 5400 block of Quince. Released to Department of Human Services.

1:47 p.m. – Matthew Carl Martin, 28, cited on Sweet Home warrant for failure to appear on original charge of second-degree criminal trespass, Oregon Department of Corrections.

2:09 p.m. – Caller reported a neighbor’s RV was blocking his driveway, 1100 block of Redwood. Officer responded. The vehicle was not blocking any driveways, but it was in violation of city ordinance. Officer posted vehicle and a trailer for removal.

Jan. 8

7:09 a.m. – Caller reported an alarm was going off on a vehicle and she needed assistance disconnecting the battery, 1400 block of Nandina. Officer assisted.

10:54 a.m. – Caller reported a hit and run, with $500 in property damage, 41100 block of Highway 228. Report taken.

12:54 p.m. – John Mark Taylor, 39, arrested on Sweet Home warrant for failure to comply on original charge of harassment, Ashland.

3:07 p.m. – Caller believed he was being scammed through his computer but didn’t know if he had lost any money, 800 block of Dogwood. Information noted. Caller advised of his options.

3:18 p.m. – Caller reported tele-phonic harassment, 25000 block of West Brush Creek. Report taken.

3:29 p.m. – Rebecca Ann Long, 38, cited for driving while suspended and failure to carry proof of insurance, 1540 Main St., Safeway.

3:40 p.m. – Caller reported two juveniles shooting things with their Nerf guns and yelling at passersby, 600 block of Elm. Officer counseled juveniles for their actions.

4:47 p.m. – Tony Roebuck, 24, cited and released in field on Linn County Justice Court warrant for probation violation and failure to appear on a citation, 1950 Main St., Sweet Home Police Department.

5:36 p.m. – Caller reported a structure fire, 4700 block of Main. Building was not on fire. An illegal burn was in the area. Officer assisted.

Jan. 7

11:19 a.m. – Dylan James Johnson, 27, arrested for providing false information to a police officer; failure to register as a sex offender; Sweet Home warrant for third-degree theft; Lebanon warrant for contempt of court on original charge of driving under the influence and probation violation; Lebanon warrant for failure to appear on a criminal citation; Linn County warrant for probation violation, on original charges of possession of heroin and failure to report as a sex offender; Linn County warrant for failure to comply on original charge of failure to register as a sex offender; Clackamas County warrant for delivery of heroin; Coos County warrant for failure to appear on original charge of failure to register as a sex offender; and state warrant for parole violation, 621 Main St., Thriftway. Transported to Linn County Jail. Caller had reported a U.S. Marshal had been in the store the previous week looking for a male who was in the store at the time of the report.

4:19 p.m. – Caller turned in two keys he found at 1540 Main St., Safeway. Placed in found property.

4:31 p.m. – Andrew Benton Erickson, 48, arrested on Sweet Home warrant for failure to comply on original charge of third-degree theft, Lebanon.

4:31 p.m. – Caller reported an ID and food stamp card stolen, 1540 Main St., Safeway. Report taken.

9:22 p.m. – A 13-year-old male taken into custody and referred to Juvenile Department for menacing and third-degree criminal mischief, 1500 block of Main. Referred and released.

9:22 p.m. – A 13-year-old male taken into custody and referred to Juvenile Department for third-degree escape and third-degree criminal mischief, 1500 block of Main. Referred and released.
