Jan. 20

12:07 a.m. – Caller reported that her ex-husband was in her garage, and a male yelled at the caller from outside the residence before leaving on foot, 1200 block of 44th. Officer checked the area. Unable to locate the male. Report taken for criminal trespass and parole violation.

Jan. 19

12:18 a.m. – Joshua Stanely, 23, of Salem arrested and charged with reckless driving, violation of the basic rule for 106 mph and driving uninsured, 28500 block of Highway 20.

10:03 a.m. – Caller reported a male slumped over the steering wheel of a green car in the parking lot, 1040 Long St. Officer contacted the male who was just taking a nap and had no medical issues.

10:18 a.m. – Caller had a boxer that was out in the street, 100 block of W. Holley Road. Owner collected the dog prior to officer arrival.

11:37 a.m. – Justin Wayne Seibert, 31, arrested on Linn County warrant for failure to appear on original charge of possession of methamphetamine, 23rd and Main. Cited and released.

12:01 p.m. – Caller reported his brother was locked inside the men’s restroom at Northside Park. Public Works responded and opened the door. Public Works advised that there is a history of tampering with the lock. Door closed and an “out of order” sign placed on it.

1:35 p.m. – Kyle James Elmer, 28, arrested on Sweet Home warrant for failure to comply on original charge of third-degree escape, 1937 Main St., Dollar General. Cited and released.

4:11 p.m. – Caller reported that a homeless female who had been kicked out twice would not stay out of the location, 1200 12th Ave., Chewy’s. Officer contacted the female and a friend, who had no intention of going back that day. They wanted the caller warned for physical contact. Caller counseled. Caller to call back if there are further problems.

4:18 p.m. – Dakota Matthew Miranda, 19, arrested on Linn County warrant for failure to appear and new charges of possession of heroin and possession of methamphetamine, 621 Main St., Thriftway. Transported to Linn County Jail.

6:47 p.m. – Zachary Gene Johnson, 29, arrested on Sweet Home warrant for failure to comply on original charge of second-degree theft, Albany.

8:42 p.m. – Caller reported a vehicle had been parked in the wrong direction for several days, Juniper and 27th. Vehicle posted for removal.

8:49 p.m. – Vehicle posted for removal, 1100 block of 29th.

9:22 p.m. – Officer located a school zone sign that had been knocked over, Elm and 7th. Public Works advised.

Jan. 18

10:16 a.m. – Caller reported tags stolen from a vehicle, 700 block of 9th. Information noted. Caller requested extra patrol.

10:45 a.m. – Caller reported a vehicle ran off the road and into the yard, 4200 block of Long. Vehicle removed. Some property damage. Vehicle operator identified, and property owner notified.

3:08 p.m. – Caller found a syringe, 1200 block of 46th. Officer disposed of the syringe.

3:49 p.m. – Caller reported that his father died in December and he and his brother have been packing up the residence and noticed firearms were missing, 1100 block of Redwood. Information noted. Officer will contact pawn shops.

6:06 p.m. – Joshua Kealohanui Ben Leslie, 31, arrested for second-degree criminal trespass, 4100 block of Main. Cited and released. Caller had reported a male who was previously trespassed was on her property and arguing with her and her husband. The caller said the male pushed her then walked away. Case to be forwarded to city attorney for review.

7:38 p.m. – Jeffrey Melvin Wacek, 42, cited for dangerous left turn in two-vehicle crash, 12th and Main. No injuries.

10:43 p.m. – Allen Dale Ensley, 30, arrested on Sweet Home warrant for failure to appear on original charge of second-degree criminal mischief, 49th and Maple. Cited and released. Caller had reported a male flashing light in driveways and carrying a bike trailer behind him. When the male saw the caller, he began walking down the middle of the road with a stick in the air. Officer contacted the male and advised him of the complaint.

11:53 p.m. – Peggy Lynn Gibson, 47, arrested on Sweet Home warrant for failure to comply on original charge of third-degree theft, Lebanon.

Jan. 17

6:36 a.m. – Caller reported a dog kept trying to go into the store, 1540 Main St., Safeway, and no owner was around. Officer checked the area. Unable to locate.

7:25 a.m. – Caller reported a dog at location, 880 22nd Ave. Dog placed in kennel.

10:08 a.m. – Rochelle Denise Burrow, 52, arrested on Linn County warrant for failure to appear on original charge of possession of methamphetamine, 2405 Main St., 7-Eleven. Cited and released. Caller had reported a customer asking for police because a male hit her while she was in the parking lot. Officer contacted the male and counseled him on his actions per the victim’s request.

10:57 a.m. – Caller reported transients were camped out at 1023 Main St. and left their items. Officer contacted and trespassed a male, who was to move along shortly.

1:58 p.m. – James Michael Heaberlin, 25, arrested on Sweet Home warrant for failure to comply on original charge of second-degree theft, Lebanon.

2:28 p.m. – Callers reported a minor fender bender, 1540 Main St., Safeway. Information exchanged.

2:47 p.m. – Caller reported a large delivery van knocked down a utility line, 2300 block of Cedar. Officer responded. The line was possibly an unused Comcast line. Utility responded.

2:49 p.m. – Caller reported that a trespassed female was in the store, 621 Main St., Thriftway. Report taken.

3:57 p.m. – Caller reported a firearms denial, 610 Main St., Dan Dee Sales. Investigation pending.

4:09 p.m. – Brandon Ryan Freeman, 25, arrested on Sweet Home warrant for failure to appear on original charge of first-degree criminal trespass and Linn County warrant for probation violation for attempting to elude, 1100 block of 38th.

4:39 p.m. – Bradley Marion Pugh, 36, cited on Sweet Home warrant for failure to appear on criminal driving while suspended, Lebanon.

7:01 p.m. – Drug paraphernalia seized for destruction, 4800 block of Main.

Jan. 16

10:17 a.m. – Carlos Adrian Ibarra, 20, cited and released on Benton County warrant for driving under the influence and recklessly endangering another person, 1950 Main St., Sweet Home Police Department.

10:44 a.m. – Caller reported a vehicle parked on the street for more than a week, 9th and Cedar. Officer advised the owner and advised of the complaint.

11:41 a.m. – Nicholas Scott Warren, 40, arrested on four Sweet Home warrants for failure to appear on original charge of third-degree theft, 1010 Main St., A&W. Transported to Linn County Jail.

12:46 p.m. – Kenith Dell Laster, 26, cited on Sweet Home warrant for failure to appear on original charge of third-degree theft, Linn County Jail.

12:54 p.m. – Sarah Kathern Rodgers, 39, arrested on Sweet Home warrant for failure to comply on original charge of second-degree criminal mischief, Lebanon.

1:27 p.m. – Caller reported her daughter’s headphones and charger stolen, 1641 Long St., Sweet Home High School. Report taken. Loss valued at $380.

1:46 p.m. – Terry Lynn Ballweber, 55, arrested on Sweet Home warrant for failure to comply on original charge of second-degree criminal trespass, 1950 Main St., Sweet Home Police Department.

2:38 p.m. – Caller found a dog, 621 Main St., Thriftway. Dog brought to Police Department and then returned to owner.

4:33 p.m. – Jamie Daniel Carpenter, 43, arrested on Sweet Home warrant for failure to appear on original charge of third-degree theft and cited for driving while suspended and failure to carry proof of insurance, 1200 block of 4th. Cited and released.

6:24 p.m. – Caller reported her mother has Alzheimer’s and had called her to say she was lost and parked on the side of the highway. Officer checked multiple areas but was unable to locate. A passerby located her and brought her to the Police Department, which returned the woman to the caller.

7:09 p.m. – Caller reported that someone stole a package from the porch, 1800 block of Kalmia. Part of the package was located. Report taken. Loss valued at $82.

8:05 p.m. – Officer recovered stolen items and returned them to the owner, 1530 Tamarack St., Tamarack Ridge Estates.

8:15 a.m. – Todd Waterman, 36, arrested for failure to register as a sex offender; Sweet Home warrant for failure to comply on original charge of driving while suspended; Linn County warrants for failure to appear on two counts of criminal driving while suspended, giving a false information to a police officer, failure to report as a sex offender and a criminal citation; and Marion County warrants for failure to appear on original charges of felony driving while suspended and felony driving under the influence, 1243 47th Ave. Transported to Linn County Jail.

9:11 p.m. – Report taken for burglary, 39500 block of Crawfordsville Drive.

9:54 p.m. – Brian Keith Bachman, 47, arrested on Sweet Home warrant for failure to appear on original charge of harassment, Linn County.

Jan. 15

9:31 a.m. – Ryan Joe Holley, 43, arrested on Sweet Home warrant for failure to comply on original charge of second-degree theft, Linn County.

10:05 a.m. – Caller reported needles left in the parking lot, 1200 block of Long. Officer disposed of them.

1:38 p.m. – Caller reported a two-vehicle crash, Main and 9th. Report taken. One driver warned for failure to yield when entering a roadway.

2:05 p.m. – Caller reported mailboxes and mail open, 4000 block of Clark Mill. Report taken for mail theft. Loss valued at $30.

7:37 p.m. – Tracy Hayes, 54, turned himself in on Sweet Home warrant for failure to comply on original charge of first-degree criminal trespass, 1950 Main St., Sweet Home Police Department. Cited and released in field.

9:18 p.m. – Caller found an iPhone and a broken Rokform case on the ground, 1300 block of 18th. Placed in found property.

Jan. 14

12:43 a.m. – Andrew Jeremiah Epting, 35, arrested on Sweet Home warrant for failure to comply on original charge of reckless driving, Salem.

7:58 a.m. – Caller reported his dog was attacked in his yard by another dog and the caller had the dog contained, 300 block of Juniper. Prior to arrival, the dog escaped. Caller to report back if he sees it again. Caller’s dog was uninjured.

8:57 a.m. – Michael Deshawn Ferebee, 40, arrested on Linn County warrant for failure to appear on original charge of second-degree theft and Sweet Home warrant for failure to comply on original charge of second-degree disorderly conduct, 1950 Main St., Sweet Home Police Department.

9:44 a.m. – Caller reported that a stray dog had returned to his property, 300 block of Juniper. Dog lodged at Sweet Home Police Department and Animal Control notified.

3:44 p.m. – Lawrence Glenn Mahlberg, 55, cited on Sweet Home warrant for failure to appear on original charge of harassment, Corvallis.

9:19 p.m. – Thomas Daniel Elmer, 49, cited and released in field on Sweet Home warrant for failure to appear on original charge of second-degree forgery, 44th Avenue near the church.

11:19 p.m. – Dustin Thomas Ferebee, 37, arrested for driving under the influence and reckless driving, 900 block of Long. Cited and released at hospital. Police, firefighters and medics responded to a vehicle that had crashed into Ames Creek. Vehicle removed from the creek, and Public Works advised of damage to the bridge.

Jan. 13

1:11 a.m. – Eldawna McKee, 39, cited for driving while suspended, 56th north of Main.

1:16 a.m. – Tiffany Ann Persinger arrested on Sweet Home warrant for failure to appear on original charge of third-degree theft, Dallas area.

12:02 p.m. – Crystal Dawn Strickland, 30, turned herself in on Lebanon warrant for probation violation on original charge of reckless driving, 1950 Main St., Sweet Home Police Department. Transferred to Lebanon Police Department.

12:43 p.m. – Caller reported her wallet and food stamp card may have been stolen. Report taken.

1:47 p.m. – Caller reported that someone broke into his vehicle during the morning, 1400 block of Main. Report taken.

2:12 p.m. – Jacob Brenner Reeder, 19, arrested for unlawful entry into a motor vehicle, second-degree theft and second-degree criminal mischief, 2225 Long St. Cited and released.

5:26 p.m. – Caller found a wallet with an ID and small amount of cash, 13th and Main. Placed in found property.

6:42 p.m. – Caller reported a vehicle parked at Bi-Mart had been stolen, 1980 Main St. Report taken. The vehicle is a 2008 four-door Kia Rio. Both front fenders are heavily damaged. Stickers in the back window are of a dog and cat. A magnet on the back says, “Fight like a girl.” License plate is 060 KVF.

Jan. 12

12:38 a.m. – Caller reported that someone slashed his tires, 1000 block of 12th. Report taken. Damage valued at $150.

9:23 a.m. – Jamie Daniel Carpenter, 43, cited for driving uninsured and failure to carry proof of insurance, 22nd and Larch.

12:02 p.m. – Caller reported he was rear-ended and the other driver claimed there was no damage to her vehicle and left, Long and Highway 228. Report taken for hit and run. Damage estimated at more than $2,500.

2 p.m. – Rhonda Joyner, 57, arrested for hit and run, 4465 Live Oak. Cited and released.

3:56 p.m. – Caller reported fuel siphoned from his vehicle, 1700 block of Dogwood. Report taken. Loss valued at $15.

4:10 p.m. – Nathan Daniel Brown, 44, arrested by Oregon State Police on Sweet Home warrant for failure to comply on original charge of third-degree theft.

4:14 p.m. – Jasen John King, 45, arrested on Sweet Home warrant for failure to comply on original charge of second-degree criminal trespass, Lebanon.

Jan. 11

2:45 a.m. – Multiple callers reported a vehicle crashed into a power pole, 550 Main St. Officer responded. Driver had left the area on foot. Officer unable to locate. Report taken. Vehicle impounded.

8:59 a.m. – Caller found a syringe on the ground, 1300 block of 9th. Officer disposed of the item.

10:10 a.m. – Caller reported a gray dog running loose, 2400 block of Main. Officer responded. Unable to locate. Caller reported back that the dog had been caught.

10:27 a.m. – Nikki Michelle Canter, 33, arrested on Pasco County, Fla., warrant for felony failure to appear, 2200 block of Larch. Transported to Linn County Jail.

5:23 p.m. – Brian Michael Fromm, 43, cited for driving uninsured, 53rd and Main.

6:02 p.m. – Caller reported that a female got out of a vehicle and hit him, 15th and Main. Report taken.

8:32 p.m. – Dallas Loewen-Beutel, 27, cited for speed racing, A&W.

Jan. 10

9:49 a.m. – Caller reported having video evidence of a male defecating on school property, 1641 Long St., Sweet Home High School. Report taken.

10:14 a.m. – Caller reported that a dog showed up at his house, 500 block of Juniper. Dog placed in kennel.

4:18 p.m. – Caller reported that homeless persons had set up camp, 1502 Main St., old video store. Officer warned them for trespass and reminded them of a Benton County outreach group working with a male to get him health care at the hospital.

4:54 p.m. – Kelsey Lee Knox, 30, turned herself in on Sweet Home warrant for fourth-degree assault, 1950 Main St., Sweet Home Police Department. Cited and released.

6:02 p.m. – Manuel Villa Perez, 35, cited for failure to yield to a pedestrian, Main and 13th. Caller had reported a car-versus-pedestrian crash. Female transported to hospital by medics.
