Dec. 27

9:51 a.m. – Caller reported his son was on his property and damaged his fence, 1100 block of 18th. Officer responded, report taken for criminal trespass.

10:23 a.m. – License plate located in parking lot, 1810 Main, Main St. Market.

1:48 a.m. – Non-injury motor vehicle collision reported in 43400 block Marks Ridge Drive/North River Road. Driver Lamar Wilson, 31, of Lebanon, left the roadway and drove into the brush. He was given courtesy ride. Report taken.

2:45 p.m. – Caller reported subjects at location took his wallet, other callers reported male blaming family for taking his wallet, 4100 block of Main. Officer contacted callers, report taken.

7:46 p.m. – Jeffrey Alexander McNees, 27, cited for driving while revoked, driving uninsured, and failure to obey a traffic control device, 1900 block of Main.

Dec. 28

9:25 a.m. – Jose Ibarra, 32, of Lebanon, arrested on three warrants and additional charges following traffic stop for speeding, 28400 block Highway 20/Dew Road. Charges included giving false information to police and drug-related charges. Cited for driving 74 mph in 55 zone and driving with suspended license. His father and owner of the vehicle was a passenger, whose name was not listed in the Sheriff’s log, was cited for allowing the illegal operation of a vehicle.

1:05 p.m. – Aurora Bechtel, 35, cited for driving while suspended, 60th and Main.

2:46 p.m. – Caller received a call from daughter stating a male was attempting to break into her residence, 1100 block of 18th. Officer responded, David Lee Oviatt, 40, arrested for criminal trespass, cited and released from police department.

5:11 p.m. – Caller reported son is pounding on the door and appears to be vandalizing a vehicle on the property, 1100 block of 18th. David Lee Oviatt, 40, arrested for criminal trespass and resisting arrest, transported to Linn County Jail.

5:30 p.m. – Caller reported hitting a male with her vehicle, 1900 block of Main. Officer responded, report taken, male transported by medics.

8:20 p.m. – Caller reported a female wanting to harm self, 1800 block of Ulex. Officer responded, teenager taken into protective custody on a peace officer hold, transported to a hospital for evaluation.

Dec. 29

12:55 p.m. – Caller reported a male came to location the last two days making employees uncomfortable, when confronted he became upset, Coffee Hut, 2540 Main. Officer responded, contacted caller by phone, info noted.

1:26 p.m. – Caller reported underage sister has been getting marijuana from neighbors, 1500 block of Tamarack. Officer responded, info noted, juvenile did not have marijuana on her, counselled for recent behaviors.

4:53 p.m. – Caller reported a male looking at houses, walking up on people’s porches, 4500 block of Main. Officer checked area, unable to locate.

6:10 p.m. – Caller reported a male passed out on a bench, 1540 Main, Safeway. Officer responded, contacted male who said he is fine, just waiting for a ride. Officer provided a courtesy transport. Cody Isaiah Milligan, 24, cited and released on a Sweet Home warrant for failure to appear on an original charge of harassment; a Lebanon warrant for a parole violation; and an Albany warrant for criminal trespassing.

Dec. 30

12:01 a.m. – Caller reported a male is looking in the windows of businesses, 12th and Long. Officer responded, contacted male who said he was just “window shopping.” He was encouraged to come back in the daytime.

10:12 a.m. – Caller reported an unknown male on porch acting like he’s hurt, requested he be trespassed, 3100 block of Main. Officer responded, male transported by medics, will attempt to locate male at later time to trespass.

1:46 p.m. – Caller reported someone at location is cashing her son’s unemployment checks, 1700 block of Fir. Info noted.

1:50 p.m. – Report taken for hit and run on a vehicle that was struck in the last few days, 1100 block of 29th.

2:13 p.m. – Caller reported upstairs neighbor’s child is being too loud running and playing 4400 block of Main. Officer responded, contacted caller, quiet upon arrival, caller advised of options.

6:10 p.m. – Linn County Sheriff’s Office reported a 911 hang up that sounded like a disturbance, 28100 block of Riggs Hill. Officer responded, minor physical disturbance, parties separated. Luke Kenneth Dale Buehner, 36, cited and released on a Sweet Home warrant for failure to appear on an original charge of harassment and a Linn County warrant for failure to appear on a criminal citation and contempt of court.

9:05 p.m. – Caller reported suspicious vehicle in area of 43400 block Marks Ridge Drive. Deputy responded, learned that people were living in car and “not causing problems,” according to Sheriff’s log. They moved to a different location.

Dec. 31

2:30 a.m. – On a welfare check, officer cited and released Carrie Rose Lee, 36, on a Marion County warrant for failure to appear on an original charge of possession of heroin, 12th and Main.

5:53 a.m. – Caller reported a male is shining a flashlight in parked cars, 1100 block of 12th. Officer responded, made contact with male, advised to stay off private property.

7:42 a.m. – Caller reported a door open at Swan’s, 658 Main, but nobody was there. Officer responded, cleared area, owners notified and are at location.

12:43 p.m. – Citizen brought in meth pipe and resin for destruction, SHPD, 1950 Main. Items seized.

12:46 p.m. – Caller stated he got back to his house and saw a male standing on his porch talking to himself, 4100 block of Main. Caller requested a welfare check on the male. Officer responded, male stated he was looking for a ride to 7-Eleven. Officer offered male a ride to Lebanon for a mental health eval, male did not want a ride at this time. Parole officer advised.

4:12 p.m. – Caller stated a suspicious male was looking into vehicles and talking to himself, 500 block of Main. Officer responded, gave the male a courtesy ride to the Lebanon Walmart.

7:52 p.m. – Between 7:52 and midnight, four callers reported fireworks or gunshots around Sweet Home.

9:03 p.m. – Julianne Nicole Phillips, 27, cited for driving while suspended and driving uninsured, 22nd and Main.

10:23 p.m. – Caller reported neighbors playing loud music, 4600 block of Main. Officer responded, quiet upon arrival, contacted female who had turned the music down prior to arrival.

11:25 p.m. – Amanda Lea Neighbors, 43, arrested for driving under the influence of intoxicants, 2200 block of Kalmia. Booked, cited and released. Also cited for failure to obey traffic control device.

Jan. 1

12:01 a.m. – Caller reported possible gunshots, 1100 block of 24th. Officer responded, fireworks in area.

12:14 a.m. – Caller reported neighbor is shooting a gun, 900 block of 4th. Officer responded, contacted male who denied reported activity, advised male of complaint and potential consequences.

8:13 a.m. – Kevin Hampton, 57, of Sweet Home, cited and released on two warrants, 3200 block Highway 20. Report taken.

8:45 a.m. – Linn County Sheriff’s Office arrested Kevin Roy Hampton, 57, arrested on a Sweet Home warrant for failure to comply on an original charge of criminal driving, bail set at $1,000.

8:53 a.m. – Caller reported her husband took rent money to go buy drugs, 4600 block of Main. Officer contacted caller by phone, advised of options.

11:04 a.m. – Caller located a bullet located on the street somewhere in Sweet Home. Placed in property.

12:28 p.m. – Caller reported a male stole a wallet out of a vehicle, 2400 block of Harding. Officer responded, report taken, approximate loss valued at $75.

12:44 p.m. – Citizen turned dog into Sweet Home Police Department. Dog owner reported dog missing and retrieved it from a deputy just before the dog was lodged at Linn County Sheriff’s Office Animal Control.

1:03 p.m. – Caller stated a bicycle was stolen overnight, 1800 block of 12th. Officer responded, report taken for theft, approximate loss valued at $500.

9:12 p.m. – Caller reported a male and female parked near his house, came to his front door,

Jan. 2

2:14 a.m. – Caller reported suspicious female at Gedney Creek Boat Ramp, 43700 block North River Drive. Turned out to be homeless female.

3:43 a.m. – Corvallis Police located female with warrant. Karen Elizabeth Holden, 36, arrested on a Sweet Home warrant for harassment.

1:09 p.m. – Caller reported someone is stealing his landlord’s pigeons from a structure at location, 4200 block of Main. Office responded, contacted landlord who does not want to file a criminal report at this time. Info noted, caller said he will review security footage and call if he finds anything suspicious.

3:28 p.m. – Caller reported sister came to residence stating there were people in her vehicle who wanted to kill her, 3100 block of Main. Officer responded, contacted female who is under the influence of meth, female will stay at caller’s house to sober up. Kenneth George Adair, 52, cited and released on a Lebanon warrant for a parole violation.

5:47 p.m. – Caller reported unknown male was standing on porch looking in window, when confronted the male moved to sidewalk but was refusing to leave, 400 block of 12th. Malcolm Hinton Hicks, 35, arrested for attempted criminal trespass, criminal trespass, and resisting arrest. Booked and lodged in Linn County Jail.

6:35 p.m. – Caller reported her daughter tried to sneak out of the house, 3100 block of Long. Officer responded, contacted parties involved, family is making arrangements to send the juvenile to a youth center.

7:25 p.m. – Caller reported someone stole a soda and a bag of chips from Safeway, 1540 Main. Officer responded, report taken, management would like the individual located and trespassed from the store.

7:37 p.m. – Caller reported a non-injury crash involving a vehicle and a motorcycle, 22nd and Main. Officer responded, report taken, damage over $2,500. Dustin Andrew Brown, 41, cited for driving while suspended and driving uninsured, given courtesy ride to his residence.

8:14 p.m. – James Brian Tidwell, 62, cited for driving while suspended, 4400 block of Main.

8:39 p.m. – Caller reported a male has been living with her for the last few days, but now she wants him to leave and he’s refusing, 300 block of Holley. Officer responded, male gone on arrival, caller placed his belongings outside in a safe place.

Jan. 3

11:56 a.m. – Caller reported not being able to contact her husband since Dec. 31, 4600 block of Main. Report taken, male reported as missing.

12:05 p.m. – Caller reported a male standing on sidewalk, waving a handgun in the air and saying vulgar things, 22nd and Mountain View. Officer responded, checked location and surrounding area, unable to locate anyone matching description.

12:10 p.m. – Caller reported a juvenile had videos on her phone of her using a vape pen, 3500 block of Juniper. When confronted, juvenile said her father bought it for her. Officer responded, contacted caller, unable to contact father, investigation ongoing.

1:14 p.m. – Springfield Police stated a male called to report an assault that happened in the Sweet Home area. Another caller reported their mother was assaulted at an unknown location. Officer responded, investigation ongoing.

2:48 p.m. – Caller reported a female broke into her bedroom and is now in an altercation with her father, 3100 block of Long. Officer responded, contacted involved parties. Juvenile has since gone to bedroom, caller will contact with further issues.

3:25 p.m. – Caller reported seeing female climb out of window of vacant duplex unit, 5300 block of Osage. Officer responded, trespassed female from location.

4:48 p.m. – Caller reported sister is on roof trying to break into parents’ bedroom, refusing to climb down, 3100 block of Long. Off icer responded, juvenile climbed off roof, still extremely defiant. Father advised of requirements to lodge at juvenile detention center. 15-year-old female referred to juvenile department for criminal mischief.

5:32 p.m. – Caller reported loud music coming from residence for the last two days, 1300 block of Sunset. Officer responded, unable to locate any noise violations, homeowners advised of complaint.

8:10 p.m. – Caller reported a customer turned in drug paraphernalia that was found at the laundromat, 4824 Main, Hilltop Laundromat. Officer responded, property seized.

9:04 p.m. – Caller reported someone gave her 12-year-old son a vape pen, 800 block of 43rd. Officer responded, report taken, info forwarded to juvenile department.

11:42 p.m. – Caller reported people are fighting at location, 415 Holley, Church of Nazarene. Officer responded, contacted caller who is upset with the noise of other campers. Situation does not require law enforcement, caller advised of options.
