8:46 a.m. – Caller reported that someone killed a deer and took part of it, field off of Fir Court. Officer responded and took photos of a fawn. Officer believed it looked more likely to be an animal kill than poaching. Oregon State Police advised.

11:06 p.m. – Caller reported the neighbor’s dog tried to attack her and chased her cats, 1800 block of Ulex. Officer warned the owner for dog at large.

11:08 a.m. – Linn County Jail served Shilo Wayne Dunston, 19, with a Sweet Home warrant for failure to appear on original charge of minor in possession of alcohol.
11:31 a.m. – Caller reported the accumulation of garbage and rodents, 2600 block of Kalmia. Referred to code enforcement.
11:41 a.m. – Caller reported that someone entered his vehicle during the night and took his wallet, 6000 block of Main. He was able to recover the wallet, but a debit card and gift card were removed from it. Report taken. Loss valued at $30.
1:34 p.m. – Caller reported that a male ran into her fence with a vehicle and took off running through her pasture, 1400 block of Clark Mill. Officer unable to locate driver. Vehicle impounded.

7:57 a.m. – Kristopher Ray Moak, 29, arrested for misdemeanor driving while suspended, second-degree burglary, second-degree criminal mischief and second-degree criminal trespass; and Mary Cheyanne Birdwell Hathaway, 31, arrested for second-degree burglary, second-degree criminal trespass and second-degree criminal mischief, 3224 Main St., South Fork trailer park. Both transported to Linn County Jail. The arrests were in connection to a burglary in the 1200 block of Second Avenue initially reported in November.
10:10 a.m. – Caller reported the theft of DeWalt drill, mixer and small tools off the back porch overnight, 27100 block of Rowell Hill.
10:29 a.m. – Caller reported that someone stole her medication, Holley Heights Loop. Report taken.
1:53 p.m. – Caller reported a scam she received by mail, 1200 block of Nandina. Information noted.
2:17 p.m. – Christie Rose Gilbert, 32, arrested for second-degree burglary, second-degree criminal trespass and second-degree criminal mischief, 1950 Main St., Sweet Home Police Department. Transported to Linn County Jail. The arrest was in connection to a burglary in the 1200 block of Second Avenue initially reported in November involving two others arrested at 7:57 a.m.
Jan. 4
12:05 a.m. – Lloyd Lovik, 56, and Denise Lovik, 45, arrested for fourth-degree assault, domestic violence. Caller had reported she and her husband had been fighting, and it was physical.
2:07 p.m. – Caller reported that a male threw a hatchet at him, 800 block of Fifth. Report taken.
4:34 p.m. – Calvin Alvin Ames, 50, arrested on Sweet Home warrant for failure to appear on original charge of second-degree criminal mischief, Albany. Cited and released.
6:48 p.m. – A man said another man went to his house with a loaded 9 mm gun and told the caller he was there to kill him because the caller was the anti-Christ, 27100 block of Scott Mountain.. The other man was taken to the hospital by his family and all weapons were removed from his access. The caller refused to pursue charges or be a victim, only wanting the man to get help.
10:31 p.m. – Caller said her son hurt her with words. He said that she needs to clean the house and threatened to kill her. She was afraid he would return and requested extra patrol. The caller did not want to pursue charges and was advised how to apply for a restraining order.
Jan. 3
10:16 a.m. – Caller reported noticing that his mailbox, along with those of his neighbors, had their doors open, 600 block of 43rd. He found some store flyers lying on the ground.
10:28 a.m. – Caller reported a neighbor’s bull was on caller’s property, 46900 block of Old Hufford. The bull was tearing up the fences and fighting with caller’s bovines. It is an ongoing problem.
11:41 a.m. – Caller found a black bag with what could be marijuana hidden in the field under a tree, 40400 block of McQueen Dr.
12:16 p.m. – Caller received notice from the post office that they had mail stolen, 2900 block of Berlin.
Dec. 31
1:06 p.m. – Mail carrier reported a vehicle that she believed to be following her and taking mail from boxes as she delivered it, 1000 block of North River.
1:39 p.m. – Caller reported that dogs got into the livestock, 24400 block of West Brush Creek, and killed one.
