1:39 a.m. – Caller reported that she just purchased a vehicle, and it was stolen, 1100 block of 29th. Vehicle cannot be signed as stolen until it is in the caller’s name, but officers would be on the lookout for the vehicle.
4:57 a.m. – Caller reported that someone possibly broke into her vehicle, 1100 block of Long. She will call if anything is missing to file a report.
5:04 a.m. – David Edward McCracken, 21, served with a Sweet Home warrant for failure to appear on original charge of harassment, Multnomah County Jail.
8:28 a.m. – Caller reported that a male swallowed razor blades, 1200 block of Nandina. Officer responded. The male did not have any outward medical issues and refused medical treatment. A friend would monitor and advise if any issues arose.
9:40 a.m. – Robert Dean Downing, 43, arrested on Sweet Home warrant for failure to comply on original charge of harassment, Lebanon. Cited and released.
10:35 a.m. – Stormy Allison Batchelor, 29, arrested on Sweet Home warrant for failure to comply on original charge of third-degree theft and Lebanon warrant for probation violation on original charge of second-degree theft, Long and 24th. Transported to Lebanon Police Department.
10:50 a.m. – Jordan Scott Carter, 25, arrested on state warrant for parole violation, 1900 block of Long. Transported to Linn County Jail.
1:25 p.m. – Frank Roy Brown, 54, cited for driving while suspended and driving uninsured and cited on Lebanon warrant for second-degree criminal mischief, 1202 Clark Mill Road. Cited and released.

2:42 a.m. – Caller reported that a male ran into the store, grabbed cigarettes and ran out, 2405 Main St., Circle K. Report taken. Loss valued at $11.65.
8:07 a.m. – Michael John Hoffman, 43, arrested for second-degree criminal trespass, Sweet Home warrant for failure to appear on original charge of second-degree criminal mischief, Linn County warrant for probation violation on original charges of failure to appear and possession of meth, Lebanon warrant for probation violation on original charge of driving while suspended and failure to appear on a criminal citation. Theresa Christine Alberts, 27, and Christine Antoinette Dietz, 28, arrested for second-degree criminal trespass, 5050 Mountain Fir. Caller had reported a vehicle stuck in the field behind Wiley Creek Community and kids running around. Hoffman transported to Linn County Jail. Dietz and Alberts cited and released.
9:38 a.m. – Kasey Wayne Miller, 26, arrested on Sweet Home warrant for failure to appear on original charge of third-degree theft, Lebanon. Cited and released.

1:37 p.m. – Caller reported that a neighbor’s teenager exposed himself to her child, 1300 block of Elm. Male counseled for his actions.
2 p.m. – Two-vehicle crash, 1540 Main St., Safeway. Officer assisted in exchange of information. No citations. No injuries.
2:02 p.m. – Gary Gean Townsend, 34, arrested on Sweet Home warrant for failure to appear on original charge of third-degree theft, Linn County warrant for failure to comply on original charge of third-degree theft (owes 10 days in jail) and Linn County warrant for probation violation on original charge of possession of meth, 1500 block of Tamarack. Transported to Linn County Jail.
4:33 p.m. – Dustin Kyle Coughran, 25, arrested on Sweet Home warrant for failure to appear on original charge of third-degree theft, 13th and Long. Transported to Linn County Jail.
8:14 p.m. – Caller reported that two males broke a window out of her vehicle, 1200 block of Long. Report taken. Damage valued at $200 and loss to theft valued at $15.

5:15 a.m. – Justin Lee Clark, 29, cited for speeding, 52-35, west city limits.
8:12 a.m. – Gilbert Alonzo Martinez, 40, arrested on Linn County warrants for failure to appear on original charges of third-degree escape, and two counts of possession of meth and charged with possession of meth, 1540 Main St., Safeway. Transported to Linn County Jail.
8:20 a.m. – Caller reported a wheelchair left in her yard, 1000 block of Alder. Officer placed it in found property.
8:22 a.m. – Laryssa Jean Cox, 26, arrested on Linn County warrant for contempt of court on a probation violation and Sweet Home warrant for failure to appear on original charge of second-degree disorderly conduct, 18th and Main. Cited and released.
10:38 a.m. – Kent Allen Vannorsdall, 23, arrested on Sweet Home warrant for failure to comply on original charge of unauthorized entry into a motor vehicle, Prineville. Cited and released.
11:22 a.m. – Leslie Jean Austin, 33, cited for failure to carry proof of insurance, Mountain View near Long.
2:03 p.m. – Seventeen-year-old male arrested on Linn County warrant for first-degree sodomy, 1641 Long St., Sweet Home High School. Transported to Linn-Benton Juvenile Detention Center.
2:11 p.m. – Caller turned in a cell phone found at Clark Mill and the railroad tracks.
3:06 p.m. – Caller reported a male in a small older gray pickup asked her daughter to get into his truck while she was walking home from school, 700 block of Seventh. Officer unable to locate vehicle. Caller advised to call back if she sees the vehicle again.
3:53 p.m. – Veronica Sue Szuch, 19, arrested on Sweet Home warrant for failure to appear on original charge of third-degree theft, 1530 Tamarack St., Mountain Shadows. Cited and released.
8:27 p.m. – Earl Ryan Dodge, 22, cited for unreasonable sound amplification and failure to carry registration, 15th and Long.
11:28 p.m. – Daniel Joseph Carrico, 31, cited and released in field on Sweet Home warrants for contempt of court on original charge of third-degree theft and for contempt of court seeking punitive sanctions, 1540 Main St., Safeway.

7:53 a.m. – Caller reported catching a female stealing on camera, 2405 Main St., Circle K. Report taken.
8:56 a.m. – Ryan Logan Binks, 23, arrested on Sweet Home warrant for failure to comply on original charge of third-degree theft, Monmouth. Cited and released.
9:15 a.m. – Caller reported two large wandering dogs, 1400 block of 24th. Dogs placed in kennel, and dog control advised.
9:26 a.m. – Tracy Neal Hayes, 50, served with a Sweet Home warrant for failure to appear on original charge of first-degree criminal trespass, Oregon State Correctional Institution.
9:58 a.m. – Caller located a bag with a computer inside, Sunnyside Park. Computer placed in found property.
10:08 a.m. – Christopher Thomas Meredith, 28, arrested on Linn County supervisory warrant for probation violation on original charge of unauthorized use of a vehicle and Sweet Home warrant for failure to appear on original charge of second-degree theft, 18th and Main. Transported to Linn County Jail.
10:56 a.m. – Paul William Kalina, 40, arrested on Linn County supervisory warrant for failure to comply on original charge of recklessly endangering another person (owes 10 days in jail), 1140 12th Ave., City Hall. Transported to Linn County Jail.
1:35 p.m. – Caller reported that someone kicked in a gate at a vacant residence, 4500 block of Airport Lane. Information noted.
1:56 p.m. – Caller reported the theft of a firearm in November, 900 block of Long. The caller believed that Sweet Home Police Department may have it in evidence. Police returned firearm. Caller did not want to pursue charges.
2:01 p.m. – Caller reported miscellaneous debris and vehicles parked in the public right-of-way, 1300 block of 44th. Referred to code enforcement.
2:52 p.m. – Caller reported garbage and mattresses stacking up outside on the side of a garage, 4200 block of Long. Referred to code enforcement.
7:33 p.m. – Caller reported a group of intoxicated subjects behind the Chamber of Commerce, 1575 Main St. Officer contacted subjects, who had permission to be there. They were advised to quiet down.
8:15 p.m. – Caller reported a male walking back and forth in front of her residence, shining a flashlight, 5600 block of Larch. Officer unable to locate.
Jan. 20
8:11 a.m. – Karissa Lynett Williams, 36, arrested on Linn County supervisory warrant for third-degree assault and possession of meth and Linn County warrants for probation violation on original two counts of possession of meth, 5400 block of Main. Transported to Linn County Jail.
8:23 a.m. – Caller went into Sweet Home Police Department, 1950 Main St., with a scammer on his phone. Officer spoke with scammer. Information noted.
9:51 a.m. – Gerald Lee Stroud, 53, arrested on Sweet Home warrant for failure to comply on original charge of third-degree theft, Linn County.
10:24 a.m. – Caller reported a possible stick of dynamite on the playground, 605 Elm St., Oak Heights Elementary. Prior to officer arrival, someone said it was a flare. Officer arrived and confirmed it was a flare. Flare seized for disposal.
12:49 p.m. – Caller requested extra patrol in the area during early morning hours, 1000 block of Nandina. Someone has been stealing her cigarette butt can. She also heard the person try the door knob. Caller advised to call the Police Department when she hears anyone on her porch.
1:38 p.m. – Caller reported that someone pushed his garbage cans into the ditch, 4400 block of Long. Information noted.
3:32 p.m. – Amanda Rae Stafford, 39, arrested on Linn County warrant for probation violation on original charge of possession of meth and Sweet Home warrant for failure to appear on original charge of second-degree disorderly conduct, 1530 Main St., Santiam Drug. Transported to Linn County Jail.
4:13 p.m. – Caller reported a fraudulent prescription for narcotics, 1980 Main St., Bi-Mart. Report taken.

12:22 a.m. – Caller reported a threatening text message from an unknown caller, 4600 block of Main. Report taken for telephonic harassment.
8:24 a.m. – Caller reported $10 to $15 worth of fuel stolen from the caller’s vehicle, 28500 block of Highway 20. The theft occurred overnight.
8:43 a.m. – Sirena Marie Patricio, 23, served with a Sweet Home warrant for failure to appear on original charge of second-degree theft, Linn County Jail.
12:25 p.m. – Robyn Lynn Zook, 34, turned in herself on a Sweet Home warrant for failure to comply on original charge of hit and run, 1950 Main St., Sweet Home Police Department. Cited and released in field.
2:48 p.m. – Shaw Jerred Valentine, 26, arrested on Sweet Home warrant for failure to appear on original charge of third-degree theft, Lebanon. Transported to Linn County Jail.
4:07 p.m. – Jack Thomas Barnes, 29, arrested on two counts of distribution of heroin in a Sweet Home Police Department case, 525 Weldwood, Lebanon. Transported to Linn County Jail.
Jan. 18
6:10 a.m. – William Henry King Jr., 36, arrested for possession of meth, 4691 Main St., Sweet Home RV. Cited and released. Caller had reported a male inside the fence. The male hidden when the caller went past.
8:45 a.m. – Caller reported several people sleeping in the carport, 1575 Main St., Sweet Home Chamber of Commerce. Officer responded and contacted a responsible person for the Chamber of Commerce. The person confirmed it was fine for them to be sleeping at the location.
1:48 p.m. – Matthew James Housen, 43, arrested on Sweet Home warrant for failure to comply on original charge of driving under the influence, Albany. Cited and released.
2:46 p.m. – Linn County Sheriff’s Office recovered a vehicle reported stolen from Sweet Home.
6:01 p.m. – Caller reported theft of cat food, kitty litter, other miscellaneous items and $10 worth of fuel over the last few months, 28500 block of Highway 20. Report taken.
10:20 p.m. – Jason Milton Dalebout, 41, served with a Sweet Home warrant for failure to appear on original charge of unauthorized entry into a motor vehicle, Linn County Jail.
Jan. 17
9 p.m. – While on a traffic stop, an officer located license plates that had been placed on the wrong vehicle, Main and Highway 228. Property seized. Male registered owner warned for switched plates. Driver had just purchased the vehicle, and the old owner had put on different license plates. Plates that belonged with the vehicle were inside it.
Jan. 16
11:40 p.m. – Caller reported a beagle found in the mountains and brought home. The beagle was bleeding from its mouth and stomach. He had minor injuries but nothing in need of immediate medical attention. He was taken to Animal Control the next day.
Jan. 15
7:21 p.m. – A resident in the 27600 block of Riggs Hill Rd. reported neighborhood dogs killed a cat in his front yard. He wanted to know if he could shoot the dog for coming onto his property. He was advised this would not be legal and to call Linn County Sheriff’s Office when he next sees the dog so deputies could deal with it.
Jan. 14
12:17 p.m. – Caller reported a dead llama in a field, 41200 block of Highway 228. The house looked like someone was working on it. Animal Control investigating.
1:45 p.m. – Caller reported that a neighbor has someone out trapping moles, but that the traps have caught his cats and last week, his dog, 41800 block of McDowell Creek. The traps are on the neighbor’s property. Deputy determined this would be a violation on the caller’s part for having his dog at large. The information was forwarded to Oregon State Police, Fish and Game, for any potential game violations.
Jan. 13
11:06 a.m. – Caller reported the theft of a food stamp card, 29400 block of Highway 20. Loss valued at $386. Investigation continuing.
12:16 p.m. – Caller reported that a male, against whom she has a restraining order, went into her house with his mother, 1000 block of North River. Whether a violation occurred is under investigation.
6:43 p.m. – Caller reported her neighbor’s dogs for eating her cat’s food, 27600 block of Riggs Hill. She took pictures and had wet dog prints in her garage. She did not know where the dog came from, and it was no longer there. She wanted to have Animal Control come out during the daytime to see if it could be determined where the dog might have come from.
