Dec. 28
4:06 a.m. – Caller reported that a male stole her backpack, 1300 block of 47th. Information noted.
10:19 a.m. – Caller reported a Jeep with flattened tires parked for more than two weeks, 400 block of Elm. Referred to code enforcement.
10:36 a.m. – Caller reported a van parked for a prolonged period, 1000 block of Poplar. Referred to code enforcement.
10:58 a.m. – Caller reported a group of juveniles surround the mural at 1206 Main St. It looked as if they were peeling the paint from it. Juveniles were gone upon officer arrival. The officer spoke with a couple in the alleyway. They told the officer juveniles were taking photos of the mural and pretending to push the vehicle in the mural. No damage to mural.
11:09 a.m. – Caller reported a theft, 3000 block of Main, Hoy’s Hardware. Report taken.
Dec. 27
8:07 a.m. – Caller turned in a bike found at 1801 Main St., All Star Auto. Placed in found property.
9:54 a.m. – Caller turned in a knife he found in the 4500 block of Manzanita. Placed in found property.
10:25 a.m. – Caller turned in a backpack and wallet left by customers, 621 Main St., Thriftway. Placed in found property.
10:54 p.m. – Caller reported dogs barking constantly, 1900 block of 12th. Referred to code enforcement.
11:02 a.m. – Caller reported a boat being filled with garbage parked on the street, 900 block of Poplar. Referred to code enforcement.
11:26 a.m. – Caller reported a bicycle left in the 1200 block of 23rd. Placed in found property.
12:26 p.m. – Caller reported a bicycle sitting on the side of the road, 2400 block of Long. Placed in found property.
12:43 p.m. – Caller reported a go-cart speeding up and down the road almost every day, 2000 block of 18th. Posted in police officer’s log.
2 p.m. – Anita Pauline Wolfe (Holley), 43, arrested on Linn County warrant for failure to appear on original charge of driving under the influence and failure to appear on three citations and a Lebanon Justice Court warrant for failure to appear, 6000 block of Main. Transported to Linn County Jail.
2:38 p.m. – Caller reported the theft of a Social Security card and a Medicare card, 2200 block of Main. Information noted.
2:58 p.m. – Caller came home and found damage to the door, 2200 block of Main. Information noted. Nothing taken.
3:53 p.m. – Caller reported a package taken from her front porch, 1200 block of 40th. Report taken.
4:21 p.m. – Caller reported a male beating and throwing a dog, 1240 Main St., Safeway. Officer checked in front and behind the store but was unable to locate.
6:01 p.m. – Robert Kenneth La Follette, 34, arrested on Sweet Home warrant for failure to comply on original charge of driving under the influence, Albany. Cited and released.
7:04 a.m. – Mary Ellen Wilson, 53, cited for driving uninsured, 1530 Tamarack St., Mountain Shadows.
7:58 p.m. – Caller reported that someone broke into his vehicle Dec. 26 and took a pellet gun and food, 38200 block of Courtney Creek.
9:26 p.m. – Richard Lee Curtis, 47, cited for driving uninsured, failure to register vehicle and illegal display of license plates, Long and Clark Mill.
Brittny Ann Mahlee Gibson, 27, arrested on Albany warrant for failure to appear on original charge of theft and Lebanon warrant for failure to appear on a criminal citation and contempt of court, 700 block of Mountain View. Cited and released.
11:56 p.m. – Alejandro Martinez Arciniega, 22, arrested on Sweet Home warrant for failure to appear on original charge of second-degree disorderly conduct, Albany. Cited and released.
Dec. 26
3:24 p.m. – David Duane Phillips, 61, arrested for third-degree theft and Sweet Home warrant for failure to appear on original charge of misdemeanor driving while suspended, 1530 Main St., Santiam Drug. Report taken. Loss valued at $10.93. Cited and released.
3:24 p.m. – Amy Roseanne Phillips, 21, arrested on Linn County warrant for failure to appear on original charge of possession of meth and first-degree failure to appear, 1540 Main St., Safeway. Transported to Linn County Jail.
5:32 p.m. – Caller reported that a male punched his mailbox then took off running, 3200 block of Main. Report taken. Damage valued at $75.
6:18 p.m. – Veronica Sue Szuch, 20, arrested on Linn County warrant for failure to appear on original charge of first-degree criminal trespass and probation violation on original charge of computer crime and Sweet Home warrant for failure to comply on original charge of second-degree theft, 1323 Main St., Figaro’s. Cited and released.
6:18 p.m. – Cody Michael Lobdell, 21, arrested on Sweet Home warrant for failure to comply on original charge of second-degree theft, 1300 block of Main. Cited and released.
8:01 p.m. – Caller reported a male panhandling in the parking lot, 1540 Main St., Safeway. Officer advised the male of the complaint, and he agreed to stop panhandling in the parking lot.
8:14 p.m. – Caller reported that a customer paid for $5 worth of fuel with a fake $20 bill, 2295 Main St., Report taken.
8:30 p.m. – Caller reported an assault involving at least three people, one female and two males, 41200 block of Highway 228. The suspects left the location in a vehicle. The victim received cuts that were treated at the hospital. The suspect and the victim gave very different accounts of the altercation and how the cuts may have occurred. Report taken. Investigation continuing.
Dec. 25
8:14 p.m. – Caller reported to SHPD that his ex-girlfriend threatened to kill him after he told her that her new boyfriend could not drive the vehicle they own together. She made some threats but none that put him in imminent fear. Deputy explained that this is a civil issue since the vehicle is in both their names, and they need to work it out in a civil court.
Dec. 24
1:42 p.m. – Caller reported bank account fraud and requested deputy contact.
3 p.m. – Caller said the neighbor’s dogs keep coming over and taking things from her garage, 43100 block North River Drive. She has spoken to the dog owners but it continues to happen.
7:19 p.m. – Matthew Cook, 22, arrested for driving under the influence. Caller had reported a driver, who stopped at Safeway, driving without lights.
Dec. 22
12:31 p.m. – Caller said he has a nice place, but his neighbor’s ducks are making a mess in his yard, 1000 block North River Drive.
