Jan. 2

8:06 a.m. – Caller reported vandalism, Crawfordsville School, 38420 Glass St., Crawfordsville. Report taken.

4:32 p.m. – Caller reported she was lost in the woods near Canyon Creek, 49100 block of Highway 20, Cascadia. Female was located and returned to her residence.

Jan. 1

12:10 a.m. – Caller reported an adult female assaulted an adult male, 40900 block of Upper Calapooia. Report taken. Deputy unable to locate suspect.

Dec. 30

1:13 p.m. – Caller reported the theft of an $80 “money gram,” 39800 block of Highway 228.

Dec. 29

7:27 a.m. – Caller found CDs and miscellaneous receipts, 900 block of Nandina. Placed in found property.

9:11 a.m. – Caller reported a vehicle with flat tires parked on the street for several weeks, 100 block of 10th. Posted for removal.

10:18 a.m. – Amanda Dawn Teoli, 43, cited for no license and driving uninsured, 40th and Long.

11:18 a.m. – Tyler John Swanson, 21, cited for driving uninsured and failure to obey traffic control device, 1540 Main St., Safeway parking lot.

2:05 p.m. – Ra Ross Allen Scott, 26, arrested on Sweet Home warrant for failure to comply on original charge of third-degree theft, Newport.

3:02 p.m. – Caller reported a transient male sleeping in front of a business, 1913 Main St. The caller wanted him to move along. Officer contacted a male and female. Both moved along.

3:39 p.m. – Two callers reported a male riding a four-wheeler doing wheelies in the street, Main and Clark Mill. Report taken for eluding and reckless driving.

5:09 p.m. – Shelby Lynne Wymetalek, 24, arrested on Linn County warrant for failure to appear on original charge of first-degree theft, 621 Main St., Thriftway. Cited and released.

8:07 p.m. – Caller reported a customer had money stolen off a lottery machine, 6099 Main St., Woods Roadhouse. Report taken.

10:24 p.m. – Caller reported a dog attacked the caller’s brother and dog, 4600 block of Main. The brother’s hand was bitten while trying to break up the dogs. Quarantine order issued to the owner of the dog.

Dec. 28

12 a.m. – Sunny Sullivan, 20, cited for speed racing, Osage and 54th. Caller had reported two vehicles that appeared to be racing. A second caller reported a vehicle drifting around the corner toward Foster School.

11:16 a.m. – Caller reported her dog was missing and she believed it was stolen, 1700 block of Spruce. Dog found running at large.

2:45 p.m. – Caller found a dog at large, 1000 block of 26th. Officer returned dog and warned the owner for dog as a public nuisance.

4:35 p.m. – Joshua Kealohanui Ben Leslie, 31, arrested for second-degree criminal trespass, 1540 Main St., Safeway. Cited and released.

11:40 p.m. – Caller reported a fence damaged by a hit and run, 28400 block of Liberty.

Dec. 27

7:52 a.m. – Dawn Marie Thompson, 52, arrested for second-degree criminal trespass and possession of methamphetamine, 1195 Main St. Caller had reported a female standing in the doorway talking to herself.

10:19 a.m. – Caller requested a welfare check on a male who wandered into Public Works, 1400 24th Ave., and said he was supposed to meet a police officer there. Officer located the male, who said he was fine and did not need any assistance.

11:31 a.m. – Caller reported a boat had been parked on the street for two weeks, 400 block of 10th. Officer contacted the owner, who agreed to move it the next day.

11:56 a.m. – Caller reported his neighbor’s dog broke through his fence and attacked the caller’s dog, 500 block of 9th. Information noted, and officer to attempt to contact the neighbor to resolve the situation.

12:28 p.m. – Caller reported a female put several items in her purse and left, 621 Main St., Thriftway. Report taken. Loss valued at $30.

2:09 p.m. – Caller reported a female had been yelling in the back parking lot and set up camp, 899 Main St., Napa Auto Parts. Officer advised the female to move along.

5:36 p.m. – Caller reported an old boat parked on the side of the street for more than a year and crowding the flow of traffic, 1000 block of 4th. Officer contacted the owner, who agreed to move it the following weekend.

9:02 p.m. – A 17-year-old male taken into custody for third-degree theft, 621 Main St., Thriftway. Released to father.

11:59 p.m. – Wayde Savolt, 21, cited for speed racing, 53rd and Main. Caller had reported two vehicles that appeared to be racing. A second caller reported a vehicle drifting around the corner toward Foster School.
