July 11

1:19 a.m. – Caller reported two parked in a parking lot, and juveniles seemed to be partying, 1800 block Long St. Officer contacted a group there playing Pokemon Go game out at the lake.

5:53 p.m. – Caller reported the males huddled up in a doorway smoking something, 1100 block of 22nd. Officer responded and located three subjects charging their phones after playing Pokemon Go all night. They showed the officer that they had been using a vape pen.

10:40 a.m. – Suzanne Marie Smith, 35, arrested on Sweet Home warrant for failure to appear on original charge of third-degree theft, Lebanon. Cited and released.

10:50 a.m. – Caller reported that someone wrote checks in her name several years ago, and someone is trying to collect the money, 800 block of Third. Officer responded. Someone was trying to scam her. Officer gave information to the victim, who planned to contact her bank.

11:17 a.m. – Caller reported that a male in a vehicle pulls up to the location and only stays a short time then leaves, 1900 block of Long St. Officer located a vehicle with a male playing the new Pokemon Go game, a new app that requires players to travel to different locations to play the game.

July 10

1:52 a.m. – Stacy Manuel Teixeira, 50, arrested on Lebanon Justice Court warrant for failure to appear on a criminal citation, 1200 12th Ave., Chewy’s. Cited and released.

3:22 a.m. – Multiple callers reported two males fighting, 1200 block of 55th. Report taken for harassment.

11:53 a.m. – Kaci Rae Jackson, 36, cited and released in field on Linn County warrant for probation violation on original charge of endangering the welfare of a minor, 1241 23rd. Caller had reported male backing up too fast, running over a curb and blowing out a tire. The male subject then pounded on the door to an apartment. The male driver was cautioned about driving without a license.

6:59 p.m. – Caller reported that someone driving a blue truck took his dog, 1300 block of Main. Report taken.

7:13 p.m. – Anthony Allen Ensley, 33, turned in himself on a Sweet Home warrant for failure to comply on original charge of providing false information to a police officer, Linn County Jail. Cited and released.

7:16 p.m. – Steven Scott Sims, 34, cited on Sweet Home warrant for failure to appear on original charge of third-degree theft, Multnomah County Jail.

9:24 p.m. – James Robert Warrington, 37, and Donald Rodger Higgins II, 54, cited for possession of alcohol in a public place, 1575 Main St., Sweet Home Chamber of Commerce. Caller had reported people were trying to sleep at the location.

July 9

2:12 a.m. – Matthew Wayne Short, 28, arrested for harassment, second-degree disorderly conduct and second-degree criminal trespass, 935 Long St. Cited and released.

8:25 a.m. – Jared Michael Elkins, 21, arrested on Sweet Home warrant for failure to appear on original charge of third-degree criminal mischief, Corvallis. Cited and released.

2:01 p.m. – Caller reported a young male pointing an airsoft gun at traffic, 18th and Tamarack. Officer contacted juvenile with a large bright Nerf gun and parents. Child counseled. Parents will handle the situation.

3:43 p.m. – Bret Allan Hartwick, 22, cited for failure to obey traffic control device, driving without a license and driving uninsured, and Steven Dale Bergevin, 27, cited and released in field for contempt of court on original charge of driving under the influence and probation violation, 600 block of Mountain View.

7:31 p.m. – Caller reported going home, and the front door was standing open, 900 block of 23rd. The lights were on. Officer responded. No signs of forced entry. No items taken. Information noted.

7:37 a.m. – Caller reported a male driving down the sidewalk near Shea Point. Officer responded. The male had been drinking since stopping the vehicle. A female had the male’s keys and planned to hold them until he sobered up.

8:44 p.m. – James David Stedman, 61, arrested on Sweet Home warrant for failure to comply on original charge of driving under the influence, Independence. Cited and released.

8:56 p.m. – Craig Bruce Adams, 37, cited and released in field on Sweet Home warrant for failure to comply on original charge of third-degree criminal mischief, Main and 49th.

9:19 p.m. – Caller reported the theft of walking path lights, subdivision above The Point Restaurant. Report taken. Loss valued at $1,800.

9:20 p.m. – Michael Scott Seiber, 36, arrested on Linn County Justice Court warrant for contempt of court on original charge of failure to appear, 3108 Main St. Caller had reported males yelling at each other and breaking glass.

10:12 p.m. – Harley Ray Hisel, 21, arrested for a fireworks offense, Fourth and Main. Caller had reported two males setting off bottle rockets while walking down the road. Cited and released.

July 8

7:24 a.m. – Caller reported discovering someone in a residence, 100 block of W. Holley Road. Report taken for criminal mischief and criminal trespass.

9:02 a.m. – Todd Buddy James Waterman, 33, cited on Sweet Home warrants for failure to appear on original charges of second-degree disorderly conduct and misdemeanor driving while suspended, Salem area.

10:24 a.m. – Van Jerome Potts, 39, arrested on Sweet Home warrant for failure to appear on original charge of second-degree disorderly conduct, 1100 block of 10th. Cited and released.

12:19 p.m. – Caller reported that an unsecured bicycle was stolen within the past 10 minutes, 1101 13th Ave., Sweet Home Public Library. Report taken. Loss valued at $35.

3:08 p.m. – Caller reported watching the group of homeless people who hang out in the City Hall parking lot yelling and scaring an elderly couple that had gone there to ride the bus. Officer contacted two subjects at the location. They denied the complaint.

3:21 p.m. – Caller reported subjects camping and leaving garbage, 47th and railroad tracks.

4:21 p.m. – Caller reported tall grass, 1700 block of Grape. Referred to code enforcement.

4:22 p.m. – Caller reported blackberry briers growing over a fence, 1800 block of 18th. Referred to code enforcement.

4:24 p.m. – Caller reported four adult dogs, 500 block of Surrey. Referred to code enforcement.

5:04 p.m. – Caller reported receiving a phone call from someone claiming to be kidnapped and in a vehicle, 4400 block of Airport. The phone number was from the Chicago, Ill., area and associated with a grant scam. Officer was unable to call back the number.

8:58 p.m. – Austin Wayne Sater, 27, arrested on Sweet Home warrant for failure to comply on original charge of second-degree disorderly conduct, Lebanon. Cited and released.

July 7

9:10 a.m. – Daniel Lee Kellum, 40, arrested on Lebanon warrant for contempt of court on original charge of third-degree theft, 1800 block of 18th. Cited and released.

10:51 a.m. – Caller reported that someone slashed his chairs during the night, 2400 block of Long. Report taken.

10:57 a.m. – Marion County Jail cited Ian Alan Nolan, 26, on Sweet Home warrants for failure to appear on original charge of third-degree theft and second-degree criminal mischief.

10:59 a.m. – Callers reported a motor home stuck on the hill, Osage and Main. Tow truck removed vehicle from the roadway.

11:57 a.m. – Nikki Lee Marrs, 27, arrested for contempt of court, 1140 12th Ave., Sweet Home Municipal Court. Transported to Linn County Jail.

1:15 p.m. – Anita Pauline Holley, 44, arrested on Linn County warrant for failure to appear on original charge of driving under the influence, and Michael Todd Sylvester, 51, arrested on Linn County warrant for failure to comply on original charge of trespassing and Sweet Home warrant for second-degree criminal trespass, 3000 block of Main. Both transported to Linn County Jail.

4:22 p.m. – Caller reported receiving a call from a law firm about an unsettled debt he doesn’t know about, 1300 block of Sunset. Information noted.

4:31 p.m. – Caller reported a dog barking throughout the day, 500 block of Mountain View. Officer responded. Dog was accidentally let out by a family member.

6:54 p.m. – Caller reported a door damaged possibly by someone attempting to break in, 1100 block of Long. Report taken.

8:32 p.m. – Scott Anthony Hall, 57, arrested on Sweet Home warrant for failure to comply on original charge of attempting to elude a police officer, 1400 block of Nandina. Cited and released.

July 6

4:09 a.m. – Caller reported a dog barking most of the night, 300 block of W. Pine. Officer located a howling dog and attempted to contact the residence. Police were unable to get an answer. The dog appeared to be howling because its chain was wrapped around a pole. The dog did not appear to be in immediate danger. Referred to day shift for followup with a citation.

10:43 a.m. – Caller reported that someone broke into her residence, 1400 block of Clark Mill. Report taken.

10:55 a.m. – Caller reported persons living in a travel trailer for a long period, 1800 block of Kalmia. Referred to code enforcement officer.

11:21 a.m. – Caller reported garbage piled up in a carport and a foul odor, 1800 block of Ulex. Referred to code enforcement.

3:32 p.m. – Caller reported items taken from a storage area, 4500 block of Main. Report taken. Loss valued at $250.

4:04 p.m. – Veronica Sue Szuch, 20, arrested on Marion County warrant for failure to appear on original charge of second-degree theft, Sankey Park. Transported to Linn County Jail.

5:51 p.m. – Jason Lydell Lingar, 39, arrested for second-degree criminal mischief; Linn County warrant for failure to appear on original charge of first-degree criminal mischief and a citation; and a Sweet Home warrant for failure to appear on original charge of second-degree disorderly conduct, 444 Ninth Ave. Transported to Linn County Jail.

5:55 p.m. – Caller reported that he dropped his wallet inside the store, 1540 Main St., Safeway. The store had video of a female picking it up and hiding it under her clothing. Report taken.

7:06 p.m. – Caller turned in a wallet found on the side of the road, Airport and 49th. Placed in found property.

7:22 p.m. – Caller reported the theft of solar yard lights, 1200 block of 41st. Report taken. Loss valued at $25.

July 5

12:09 a.m. – Caller reported that someone stole fuel from her truck and left the gas can and hose sticking out of the truck, 4800 block of Main.

9:06 a.m. – Caller reported transients living in bushes, 800 block of Main. Subjects left prior to officer arrival. If subjects return, caller instructed to call back.

12:04 p.m. – Single vehicle crashed into a ditch near Pleasant Valley Bridge. Vehicle towed. Damage less than $1,500. No injuries. No citations.

12:17 p.m. – Joshua Clinton Edwards, 27, arrested on state warrant for parole violation, Shea Point. Transported to Linn County Jail

3:26 p.m. – Caller reported a front license plate stolen from her vehicle, 400 block of Fifth. Report taken. Loss valued at $34.

3:50 p.m. – Matthew James Housen, 43, arrested on Sweet Home warrant for failure to comply on original charge of driving under the influence, Albany. Cited and released.

5:04 p.m. – Caller reported a generator stolen, 1500 block of Tamarack. Report taken. Loss valued at $150.

8:03 p.m. – Caller reported that a male subject bent a windshield wiper on her vehicle then took off running, 1540 Main St., Safeway. Report taken. Damage valued at $500.

8:31 p.m. – Heather Elmer, 23, cited and released in field on Albany warrant for failure to comply on contempt of court, and Eugene James May, 42, arrested on Benton County warrant for failure to appear on original charges of third-degree theft, second-degree criminal trespass and a citation, end of Willow Street. May cited and released. Caller had reported that it sounded like people were living in the brush on a vacant lot at the end of the street. She could hear people fighting and saw multiple vehicles drive in and out. Officer advised multiple subjects to leave the area.

9:43 p.m. – Caller turned in a phone found on the side of the road, Clark Mill and Main. Placed in found property.

9:52 p.m. – Caller reported illegal fireworks in use, 43rd and Long. Officer unable to locate.

10:04 p.m. – Caller reported fireworks in use, 3224 Main St., South Fork mobile home park. Officer unable to locate any fireworks.

11:18 p.m. – Caller reported finding a dog at her residence, 1600 block of Main. Dog placed in kennel, and Animal Control notified.

11:29 p.m. – Caller reported fireworks being used, 1800 block of Vine. Area quiet when officer arrived.

July 4

7:06 a.m. – Amy Roseanne Phillips, 20, arrested on Linn County warrant for failure to appear on original charge of possession of meth, 2456 Long St. Cited and released.

9:35 a.m. – Caller reported that transients are camped next to her business, 1121 Main St. Officer contacted a female subject and advised her that she needed permission from the owner before settingup camp. The female was supposed to collect her belongings and move along.

10:46 a.m. – Caller reported fishing near Yellow Bottom campground, and a bag which contained fishing tackle, the victim’s phone, and wallet with ID, was stolen on July 3.

11:28 a.m. – Caller reported that someone broke into his camper, 2300 block of Main. Report taken. Loss valued at $100.

1:14 p.m. – Caller reported that a dog on Locust Street barks all the time, 57th and Locust. Dog stopped barking prior to officer arrival.

1:25 p.m. – David G. Monahan, 75, cited for no license, 1300 block of Nandina.

7:22 p.m. – Caller reported that a female subject would not return a phone that belongs to him, 1100 block of Long. Report taken. Phone valued at $675.

8:01 p.m. – Caller reported a female stole jeans from her, 900 block of 15th. Report taken. Loss valued at $70.

8:58 p.m. – Caller reported illegal fireworks in use, Evergreen and Nandina. Officer unable to locate.

9:07 p.m. – Caller reported illegal fireworks almost hit him and his daughter, 1200 block of Linden. Officer responded. Fireworks were not illegal. Subjects counseled.

9:25 p.m. – Caller reported fireworks going off, Foothills area. Unknown if they were legal or illegal. The caller could only hear them. Officer checked the area. Unable to locate illegal fireworks.

9:26 p.m. – Caller reported fireworks hit bushes in the area, 1200 block of 43rd. Officer unable to locate illegal fireworks.

9:33 p.m. – Multiple callers reported illegal fireworks going off, 46th, 47th and Airport. Officer unable to locate illegal fireworks.

9:35 p.m. – Caller reported illegal fireworks, 22nd, 23rd and Ironwood. Officer unable to locate illegal fireworks.

9:40 p.m. – Caller reported illegal fireworks, Second Avenue. Officer unable to locate illegal fireworks.

11:47 p.m. – Caller reported a possibly aggressive dog was loose, 900 block of 23rd. Officer spoke with the owner, who advised the dog would be kept inside for the night.

July 3

2:24 a.m. – Jason Edward Brendle, 48, cited for failure to carry proof of insurance, 900 block of 18th.

2:55 a.m. – James Eugene Richards, 22, arrested on Sweet Home warrant for contempt of court on original charge of third-degree theft, 900 block of 18th. Cited and released.

6:52 a.m. – Caller reported his vehicle had been put on wood blocks and his tires stolen, 28000 block of Fern Ridge. The caller did not want to file a report, just wanted the incident documented. The caller said he would handle it civilly.

8:33 a.m. – Brandon Ryan Freeman, 21, arrested on Linn County warrant for failure to appear on a criminal citation, a Linn County warrant for two counts of contempt of court seeking punitive sanctions and Sweet Home warrants for failure to appear on original charges of third-degree theft and harassment, 2133 Main St. Transported to Linn County Jail.

9:59 a.m. – Skylar James Samson, 26, cited and released in field on a Linn County warrant for probation violation, 3205 Long St.

11:22 a.m. – Caller reported single vehicles parked in the boat parking spaces, in the Calkins Park boat ramp.

3:22 p.m. – Michelle Lynn McMullen, 37, cited for driving while suspended, Hoy’s Hardware.

4:34 p.m. – Caller reported two firearms and a bicycle missing, 500 block of Fifth. Report taken. Loss valued at $400.

5:07 p.m. – People were stuck on the river in a raft, which had a hole in it. They were out of water and safe but needed help out. Sweet Home Fire and Ambulance District assisted them.

6:51 p.m. – Caller reported that a male who had a no-contact order against him broke into his house and sat on the couch, 3224 Main St., South Fork mobile home park. When asked to leave, the male left. Officer contacted all involved. No evidence proved the incident happened. Information to be forwarded to district attorney for review.

8:42 p.m. – Dawn Marie Thompson, 27, arrested for second-degree custodial interference, 1270 Second Ave. Cited and released.

9:55 to 11:18 p.m. – Four callers reported illegal fireworks, 18th and Cedar; 200 block of Seventh; north of the 1300 block of 13th; and Strawberry Loop. Officers unable to locate illegal fireworks.

2:29 p.m. – Loris David Whitton, 61, arrested on Linn County warrant for probation violation on original charge of possession of meth, 6099 Main St., Woods Roadhouse. Caller had reported a male subject sleeping under a tree.

2:53 p.m. – Caller reported a man selling him a fake pair of Air Jordan shoes and listing more of the same for sale, Sweet Home area.

4:37 p.m. – Caller reported two vehicles following him and his friends from Sankey Park, causing a disturbance and a subject pulling a firearm on one of his friends, 18th and Cedar. Report taken for menacing and harassment. Investigation continuing.

5:12 p.m. – Tcheche Yvet Troche, 37, cited for illegal display of validation stickers, 4000 block of Main.

7:44 p.m. – Clay Justice Macheck Mullins, 20, cited and released in field on Linn County Justice Court warrant for contempt of court, Sankey Park.

8:51 p.m. – David Duane Phillips, 60, arrested on Lebanon warrants for failure to appear on original charge of misdemeanor driving while suspended, contempt of court and probation violation and Sweet Home warrant for failure to comply on original charge of misdemeanor driving while suspended and cited for open container of alcohol, failure to use seatbelt and driving uninsured, Husky Field parking lot.

10:32 p.m. – Caller reported people all over the trailer park letting off fireworks and yelling, 4600 block of Main. Officer responded. Unable to locate anyone using fireworks.

10:45 p.m. – Launa Michelle Periman, 43, cited for failure to register vehicle, 2300 block of Main.

July 1

6:53 p.m. – Caller said someone released the oil plug to his tractor, in the 28600 block of Liberty Rd.

June 30

1:07 a.m. – Caller said his girlfriend was walking home from a neighbor’s and said a vehicle with its lights off followed her. The caller talked to the man, who was homeless and looking for a place to sleep. The man left before a deputy arrived.

2:11 a.m. – Caller said a female was not breathing and she started screaming for help, Whitcomb Creek Park. It turned out that someone’s wife was calling for help with the weed eater.

June 29

7:58 a.m. – Caller reported a theft of two Timberidge camp chairs with side tables, Sunnyside Park.

6:03 p.m. – Caller reported juveniles were on his property to get to the river, 45700 block of Highway 20. Their vehicle was parked nearby. The caller talked to the youth about being on private property. The kids apologized and left. The caller did not want any further action.

7:52 p.m. – Caller said there was a woman sitting in a car with no windshield parked at the church on Pleasant Valley. Deputies were unable to locate the car.
