12:28 a.m. – Matthew Allen Pitts, 32, arrested on Sweet Home Municipal warrants for failure to appear on an original charge of menacing and failure to appear on an original charge of third-degree theft X2, Linn County Sheriff’s Office.

10:03 a.m. – Caller reported burglary at River Bend Campground, 45900 block Highway 20. Trailer was entered and items stolen. Missing was a .40-caliber Smith & Wesson handgun, DeWalt impact driver, DeWalt battery-powered vacuum, ammunition and a fishing pole. Report taken.

12:50 p.m. – Deputy towed boat to Gedney Creek boat ramp after its engine died on Foster Lake.

12:57 p.m. – Caller reported the theft of exhaust system at Whitcomb Creek Park, 47300 block Quartzville Road. Report taken.

1:15 p.m. – Caller reported arrows sticking from an area telephone pole, 12th Avenue/Tamarack Street. Officer responded, report taken for second-degree criminal mischief.

1:52 p.m. – Caller reported that someone scammed her daughter, 500 block of Strawberry Loop. Officer responded, report taken. Approximate loss of value: $1,850.

5:26 p.m. – Deputy removed multiple illegal camps along Quartzville Road. Legal camp spots were all full and “many” campers were warned for illegal camps. Deputy removed six camps on Army Corps of Engineers property and two from BLM land. Two illegal camps found on Campbell Global land.

6:39 p.m. – Caller reported an older woman walking down 28200 block Highway 20. She was experiencing “mental health issues,” according to Sheriff’s log. She was safely returned home.

7:22 p.m. – Caller reported theft of camp stove, cash and phones from campsite at Sunnyside Park, 45000 block Quartzville Road. Under investigation. Report taken.

7:57 p.m. – Alexis Morgan Bowers, 21, arrested on a Sweet Home Municipal Court warrant for failure to comply on an original charge of third-degree theft, Oregon State Police.

10:20 p.m. – Deputy took report of a vehicle stopping and someone digging in trash cans in 48000 block Quartzville Road. Sheriff’s log stated that the deputy later spotted a silver Chrysler minivan owned by Mike Doyle and Katie Cromwell, who are known to “Dumpster-dive” near the boat ramp, but they left before the deputy could get turned around.

July 3

2:01 a.m. – Faron Walter Kennedy, 56, cited and released on Lebanon Municipal warrant for fraudulent use of a credit card, 46th Avenue and Main Street. Cited for driving with a suspended license.

2:17 a.m. – Buzz Dodson, 23, cited for a warrant after a deputy responded to a disabled vehicle in the westbound lane of Highway 20 and 53rd Avenue. Several people present at the location assisted the deputy in pushing the vehicle off the road. Report taken.

3:35 a.m. – Leola Nulene Ellingsen, 31, arrested on Sweet Home Municipal warrant for failure to appear on an original charge of second-degree criminal trespass, Lane County.

4:21 a.m – Daniel Joseph Carrico, 37, arrested on Sweet Home Municipal warrant for failure to comply on an original charge of contempt of court, Oregon State Police Northern.

10:16 a.m. – Caller reported aunt’s phone was taken from a shopping cart the day before at Safeway, 1540 Main St. Safeway. Officer responded, report taken. Approximate loss of value: $300.

12:44 p.m. – Caller reports the theft of a catalytic converter from a vehicle a day earlier in the parking lot of the Bi-Mart, 1900 block of Main St. Officer responded, report taken for second degree theft and second degree criminal mischief, approximate loss of value $300.

2:22 p.m. – Buzz Star Dodson, 23, arrested for failure to comply on an original charge of second-degree criminal mischief, Linn County Jail.

6:48 p.m. – Deputy contacted multiple campers located illegally along Quartzville Road. They were advised to vacate sites.

8:21 p.m. – Luiz Urieta, 23, of Salem, cited for driving while suspended following single-vehicle, minor-injury crash in 48300 block Quartzville Road. According to the Sheriff’s Office, Urieta was negotiating a curve when he drove into a ditch after, he said, swerving to avoid a bunny in the road. Minor cuts. Report taken.

10:04 p.m. – Caller reports someone broke the window of her car, 2400 block of Long St. Officer responded, report taken for second-degree criminal mischief. Approximate value of damage: $800.

July 4

3:24 a.m. – Machaelray Jensen, 40, cited and released on Linn County Justice Court warrant for contempt of court, 2320 Main St. Cited and released on Sweet Home Municipal Court warrants for failure to appear on an original charge of second-degree criminal trespass and failure to appear on an original charge of third-degree criminal mischief.

2:47 p.m. – Neva Victoria Blake, 56, of Lebanon, arrested on parole violation after a deputy patrolled an illegal camp on Cascade Timber Consulting property, 52800 block Highway 20. Blake also had two cite-and-release warrants out of Albany and Lebanon municipal courts. She was transported to Linn County Jail. Occupants of the camp were told to break it down and leave property.

2:51 p.m. – Samantha Gioia, 23, cited for speeding, 63 mph in a 45-mph zone, 4700 block Main.

3:26 p.m. – Caller reported a female camping in a backyard, 1100 block of 24th Ave. Officer responded, Denise Burrow, 54, arrested on Linn County Circuit Court warrants for possession of meth, failure to appear on an original charge of a criminal citation X8, and criminal trespass/failure to appear on an original charge of a criminal citation X9.

3:55 p.m. – Caller reported people paddle-boarding at night on Foster Lake, 43900 block of North River Drive.

4:04 p.m. – Noah David Colgrove, 28, of Sweet Home, arrested for second-degree criminal trespass in 46600 block Highway 20 following deputy’s response to trespass call on Cascade Timber Consulting land. Colgrove was behind a closed gate with a vehicle, according to Sheriff’s Office. Colgrove was cited and released. Report taken.

4:18 a.m. – Destiny Waskom, 21, of Lebanon, cited for speeding, 78/55, 28400 block Highway 20/Dew Road.

5:13 p.m. – Caller reported a home break-in and missing items, 1000 block of 12th Ave. Officer responded, report taken for first-degree burglary.

6:27 p.m. – Caller reported a speeding vehicle unable to maintain lane, Long Street and Holley Road. Maria Del Carmen Salcedo-Briceno, 38, was cited for driving with a suspended license.

7:13 p.m. – A Sheriff’s deputy contacted campers believed responsible for RV fire six days prior. Michael Matthews, 36, of Sweet Home, and Silvia Johnson, 41, of Corvallis, allegedly abandoned a vehicle near milepost 17.2 on Quartzville Road after it burned, then left trash around the area. They were identified and cited, and their information was forwarded to the BLM. 9800 block of Quartzville Road. Report taken.

8:05 p.m. – Caller reported a stolen gaming console, 3200 block of Main St. Officer responded, report taken for second-degree theft, approximate value $200.

8:39 p.m. – Samantha Nicole King, 31, cited and released on Lebanon Justice Court warrant for contempt of court. Cited and released on Lebanon Municipal Court warrant for third-degree theft, 1100 block of Main St.

11:50 p.m. – Dustin Kyle Coughran, 31, arrested on Lebanon Police Department warrant for failure to comply on an original charge of second-degree criminal trespass, Lebanon Police Department.

July 5

10:23 a.m. – Jason Dale Roy Avery, 28, cited and released on Lebanon Municipal Court warrant for a probation violation and driving with a suspended license violation, 4600 block of Main St.

5:28 p.m. – Caller reported a mountain bike stolen from Edgewater RV Park, 1400 block of 60th Avenue. The bike was described as a blue, white and black Giant Talon mountain bike. Value: $700. Report taken.

July 6

4:49 a.m. – Patrick John Ward, 40, arrested on Sweet Home Municipal warrant for failure to appear on an original charge of third-degree theft, Silverton Police Department.

5:16 a.m. – Franklin Archie Thompson II, 47, cited and released on Sweet Home Municipal warrant for failure to comply on an original charge of second-degree disorderly conduct, Narrows.

6:34 a.m. – Caller reported a motor vehicle crash in the 3100 block of Main St. Officer responded, report taken for non-injury crash. Damage: $2,500-plus. Operators: Mary Dodge, 44, and Christopher Visser, 33.

2:52 p.m. – Caller found keys at Sankey Park. Assisted, items placed in property.

3:29 p.m. – Heather Thompson, 41, cited and released for second-degree disorderly conduct, Pregnancy Center.

3:43 p.m. – Caller reported an unauthorized entry into a vehicle, 500 block of Main St. Officer responded; report taken for second-degree theft and criminal mischief. Approximate loss of value: $600.

4:35 p.m. – Caller reported theft at 13th Avenue northbound. Officer responded, contacted the driver of that vehicle. Samantha Leann Stotz, 29, cited on Linn County Circuit Court warrants for possession of meth, contempt of court X2, criminal trespass, failure to appear on an original charge X4 and failure to appear on an original charge of a criminal citation. Also cited for third-degree theft, value of $27.26.

7:27 p.m. – Wells Jackson, 24, cited for passing in no-passing zone, 45000 block Highway 20.

7:41 p.m. – Mack Tuttle, 72, of Sweet Home, cited for speeding, 57/35, 300 block of East Bishop Way/Faust Street, Brownsville.

8:38 p.m. – Marick Allen Tyree Best cited for driving with a suspended license, speeding and driving uninsured, 43rd Avenue and Main Street.

11:56 p.m. – Harley Michelle Webb, 27, arrested on Sweet Home Municipal warrant for failure to comply on an original charge of third degree theft, Albany Police Department.

July 7

12:18 a.m. – Ryan Wesley Sechrest, 34, cited and released for driving with a suspended license, 228 Crescent Hill. Cited and released on Sweet Home Municipal warrants for failure to appear on an original charge of criminal driving and failure to appear on an original charge of failing to perform duties of a driver when property is damaged. Cited and released on Lebanon Municipal Court warrant for failure to appear on an original charge of a criminal citation – driving with a suspended license. Cited and released on Linn County Justice Court warrant for driving with a suspended license.

2:04 a.m. – Dakota Michael Anthony Landi, 27, of Albany, arrested on multiple warrants, 51200 block of Highway 20. Report taken.

3:55 p.m. – Caller reported a catalytic converter stolen from motor home, Sweet Home RV Center, 4600 block of Main St. An officer spoke with the caller by phone and a report was taken for first-degree theft and second-degree criminal mischief.

5:09 p.m. – Caller reported theft from vehicle in 47300 block Quartzville Road. Cash and multiple credit cards stolen. Total loss: approximately $2,000. Report taken.

8:26 p.m. – Donald Ackeret, 32, cited and released on Sweet Home Municipal Court warrant for failure to comply on an original charge of driving under the influence of intoxicants and failure to comply on an original charge of second-degree criminal mischief, 1950 Main St.

9:33 p.m. – Multiple callers reported two males physically fighting, rolling around in the street hitting each other at 54th Avenue and Main Street. Officer responded, report taken for second-degree disorderly conduct, fourth-degree assault and second-degree criminal mischief. Investigation continuing.

July 8

9:21 a.m. – Caller entered police department to turn in case containing syringes, 60th Avenue and Foster Dam Road. Officer responded; the item was properly disposed.

10:50 a.m. – James Daniel McClintock, 46, cited and released on a Sweet Home Municipal Court warrant for failure to appear on an original charge of harassment, 3700 block of Long St.

12:33 p.m. – Theft reported from Santiam Hatchery, 43100 North River Drive. Report taken.

1:50 p.m. – Steven Kenneth Stitt, 36, arrested for third-degree theft and second-degree criminal trespass, 624 17th Ave.

3:40 p.m. – A bicycle was left at location, 1400 24th Ave. A request was sent for an officer to pick it up. The item was placed in property.

July 9

8:20 a.m. – Nathan Deffenbaugh of Sweet Home, arrested for second domestic assault. 43700 block Wiley Creek Drive. Report taken.

1:44 p.m. – Caller reported that son was rear-ended while pulling into a business driveway, 1800 block of Main St. The other driver did not have a license with her. Officer responded, report taken. Damage: over $2,500. Alexis Morgan Bowers, 21, was cited for driving with a suspended license and driving uninsured.

3:15 p.m. – Caller reported that a customer found a credit card at Town Pump, 890 Main St. An officer responded; the card was seized.

4:12 p.m. – Joshua Hughes, 19, cited for driving with a suspended license, southbound on 12th Ave.

4:40 p.m. – Officer located garbage and debris around a vacant homeless site at the old City Hall on 12th Ave. A report was taken for offensive littering.

6:03 p.m. – Denise Burrow, 54, cited and released for second-degree theft, Sweet Home Police Department.

6:48 p.m. – Timothy Shehan, 27, cited and released on Sweet Home Municipal Court warrant for failure to appear on an original charge of driving under the influence of intoxicants and a Lebanon Municipal Court warrant for driving with a suspended license violation X2, 4th/Main. Also cited for driving uninsured. Hunter Ringheimer, 27, was cited and released on Sweet Home Municipal Court warrants for failure to appear on an original charge of hit-and-run and failure to appear on an original charge of third-degree theft.

7:01 p.m. – Sean Robinson, 37, arrested on Linn County Justice Court warrant for failure to appear on an original charge, Bi-Mart parking lot. Cited for driving with a suspended license.

7:19 p.m. – Caller reported someone shooting a BB gun at his window, 1200 block of 4th Ave. Officer responded. Joshua Whitmore, 37, was cited and released for second-degree criminal mischief.

7:33 p.m. – Deputies located multiple illegal campsites along Quartzville, North River Drive. Campers were told to leave.

8:23 p.m. – Jeffrey Kennedy, 46, cited for careless driving, 1600 block of Main St.

9:52 p.m. – Deputy contacted naked male and female sleeping in a car in the 44700 block of North River Drive/Quartzville Road. They claimed to have fallen asleep and weren’t planning to camp. They were told to move along.

10:38 p.m. – Caller reported the theft of money from an office in the 4400 block of Main St. Officer responded; report taken for second-degree theft and second-degree burglary. Approximate loss of value: $668.

10:49 p.m. – Kaleb Kimber Banta, 23, cited and released on Linn County Circuit Court warrants for strangulation, assault, and possession of meth, 1900 block of Long St. Cited and released on Lebanon Municipal Court warrant for failure to appear on an original charge of a criminal citation.

11:17 p.m. – Kimberly Ann Bachmeyer, 43, cited for driving with a suspended license, 1900 Block Main St.

July 10

5:37 a.m. – Shelby Keith Brigham, 54, cited and released on Sweet Home Municipal Court warrant for failure to comply on an original charge of failing to report as a sex offender, 1900 block of Main St.

10:14 a.m. – Camper in River Bend Campground, 45900 block of Highway 20, reported that someone entered his campsite Thursday night and stole his electric scooter, described as a black Jetson model. Value: about $350. Report taken.

10:59 a.m. – Timothy Sloat of Lebanon, arrested for unauthorized use of a motor vehicle and giving false information to police. Monte Morehouse of Lebanon, also arrested for unauthorized use of a motor vehicle. According to the Sheriff’s Office, a stolen vehicle was parked in the 46600 block of Highway 20 in Foster, and the two were walking away from it. Report taken.

12:43 p.m. – Ember McAlpin, 37, cited for second-degree theft, Bi-Mart. Approximate value: $601.61.

3:14 p.m. – Deputies patrolling Green Peter Lake found five illegal boat-in camps. Campers “upset” but agreed to leave. One, located on the border of Army Corps of Engineers and CTC property, was “very argumentative” but agreed to sleep in boat off-shore after being warned about camping on CTC property.

5:44 p.m. – Female rescued from rapids below Green Peter Dam. Further details unavailable.

6:53 p.m. – Deputy patrolling Weyerhaeuser property in Upper Calapooia Drive between mileposts 8 and 15, located multiple illegally parked vehicles, most for river access. Individuals connected to those vehicles were contacted and warned about illegal parking, trespassing on Weyerhaeuser land.

7:20 p.m. – Franklin Luster Cutbirth III, 40, cited and released on Sweet Home Municipal warrant for failure to appear on an original charge of second-degree criminal mischief, 13th and Kalmia. Cited and released on Lebanon Municipal warrant for probation violation. Cited for driving with a suspended license, driving uninsured and failing to yield to an emergency vehicle.

10:01 p.m. – Deputy found “large groups” of people gathered on Quartzville Road to watch the fireworks show. They quickly dispersed after realizing fireworks could only be seen from the dam.

11:02 p.m. – Allen Dale Ensley, 32, arrested on Douglas County Circuit Court warrant for failure to appear on an original charge of larceny, 3026 Main St., Sun Motel. Arrested on Linn County Circuit Court warrants for fourth degree assault, possession of meth, and failure to appear on an original charge of a criminal citation X3.

July 11

5:29 a.m. – Caller located keys, 3224 Main St. Officer responded, placed in property.

8:16 a.m. – Found property in 4500 Quartzville Road.

11:32 a.m. – Caller had questions about evicting squatters on property in 48400 block Highway 20.

2:02 p.m. – Elderly male was reported missing from his family for approximately 30 minutes. He was spotted by Sheriff’s marine patrol officers along the lake and returned to his family, who were staying at RV park, 1400 block 60th Avenue.

5:40 p.m. – Joshua Kealohanui Ben Leslie, 33, arrested on Linn County Circuit Court warrants for possession of meth, 1950 Main St. Cited in lieu of custody per Linn County Sheriff’s Office on four probation violation warrants: possession of meth X2, fourth-degree assault, and harassment.

7:16 p.m. – Multiple illegal campers told to move on, mileposts 19 to 24 of Quartzville Road.

8:59 p.m. – A wallet and phone were reported stolen sometime after 4:30 p.m. from the roadside near Yellowbottom Campground, 45000 block Quartzville Road. Investigation underway. Report taken.

9:20 p.m. – Jeffrey Alexander McNees, 28, cited and released for driving with a suspended license, speeding and driving uninsured, Main Wiley Creek. Arrested on Sweet Home Municipal warrants failure to appear on an original charge of carrying a concealed weapon, failure to appear on an original charge of resisting arrest, and failure to appear on an original charge of criminal driving X2. Cited and released on Lebanon Municipal warrant for second-degree theft and Albany Municipal warrant for third-degree theft.

10:13 p.m. – Deputy spotted vehicle in Calkins Boat Ramp parking lot after closing time. Found driver using headlights to clean fish.

10:31 p.m. – Cory Michael Lostritto, 33, arrested for driving under the influence of intoxicants and criminal driving, 2405 Main St.

11:30 p.m. – Caller located debit card, 1800 Block Main. Placed in property.
