July 13

12:56 a.m. – Christopher Lance Turner, 24, arrested for second-degree assault, conspiracy and second-degree disorderly conduct. Lodged at Linn County Jail. 1230 4th Ave.

July 12

3:08 p.m. – Seven cows that were a hazard rounded up and herded onto private property, 41900 block Marks Ridge Drive. Caller was to contact brand inspector on Monday to report loose cows.

3:37 p.m. – Caller reported two pistols, two sets of keys and approximately $10 in coins stolen from his pickup while it was parked at Bates Bridge, 40800 block McDowell Creek Drive.

2:05 p.m. – Caller reported that a male came into Thriftway the previous day, not wearing a mask, and stated he didn’t need to because he was carrying a firearm. The man then pointed to the firearm in an almost threatening manner to the cashier, the caller said. Officer responded. Information noted. If male can be identified, caller wanted him trespassed. 621 Main St.

3:08 p.m. – Ariel Shanea Kaping, 26, arrested at Linn County Sheriff”s Office on Sweet Home Municipal Court warrant for failure to comply in a case of theft of lost or mislaid property.

6:48 p.m. – Blake J. Powell, 36, arrested for driving under the influence of intoxicants. Caller reported male in truck, hauling horse trailer, who may have been intoxicated, had almost hit several vehicles and was unable to maintain lane. Cited and released. 1500 block Main Street.

9:53 p.m. – Caller reported illegal fireworks in area of 300 block of 8th Avenue. Officer responded. Checked area. Unable to locate.

10:13 p.m. – Rachell Gandrud, 39, cited for failure to carry proof of insurance. 1500 block Main St.

10:41 p.m. – Nicholas Scott Warren, 40, arrested on Sweet Home Municipal Court warrants for failure to appear on two counts of second-degree trespass and three counts of third-degree theft, and arrested for second-degree criminal trespass. Cited and released. 4th Avenue and Main Street.

July 11

4:10 p.m. – Deputy located an illegal camp with an unattended smoldering camp fire on Cascade Timber Consulting’s Jack Lake 400. Occupants arrived shortly and were asked to move to Forest Service lands.

11:15 a.m. – Joseph Aldor Dunham, 42, arrested on Sweet Home Municipal Court warrant for failure to appear on a second-degree criminal trespass charge. Linn County Sheriff’s Office.

11:44 a.m. – Frederick Cadger, 53, arrested on Sweet Home Municipal Court warrant for failure to comply on a second-degree disorderly conduct charge. Cited and released. 47th ant railroad.

4:07 p.m. – Caller reported hit and run that damaged vehicle. Location not listed. Report taken. Approximate damage $2,000.

8:36 p.m. – Benjamin Reuben Pannier, 37, arrested on Sweet Home Municipal Court warrant for failure to appear on driving under influence of intoxicants charge. Lane County Sheriff’s Office.

9:53 p.m. – Caller reported illegal fireworks in area of 700 block of 9th Avenue. Officer responded and checked area. Unable to locate fireworks.

11:09 p.m. – Terra Sue Kopperud, 37, arrested on Linn County Justice Court warrant for contempt of court. Caller had reported that a vehicle had parked, with lights shut off, and someone was out looking around in 1600 block of 13th Avenue. Kopperud cited and released.

July 10

2:11 a.m. – Caller reported a theft the previous day, 621 Main St., Thriftway. Report taken. Loss valued at $145.09.

8:28 a.m. – Anthony Justin Zib, 42, arrested on Santiam Corrections warrant for failure to comply on third-degree theft charge.

8:48 a.m. – Caller reported motor vehicle collision in McDonald’s parking lot, 2000 Main St. Damages estimated at under $2,500. No injuries reported.

10:11 a.m. – Caller reported a male beating on windows at Sweet Home Senior Center, 880 18th Ave., saying he was having a heart attack. Officer responded and found male who was upset because he’d left his bicycle on a bus. Officer was able to retrieve bicycle. Male declined medical transport.

2:32 p.m. – Jamie Carpenter, 44, arrested after he turned himself in at Sweet Home Police Department on warrant for failure to appear on a third-degree theft charge.

3:17 p.m. – Michelle Leigh Melby, 49, arrested by Lebanon PD on Sweet Home warrant for failure to appear on second-degree criminal trespass charge.

3:26 p.m. – Caller reported gas meter removed from high-pressure riser. 1030 14th Ave. No suspects, wanted information noted.

4:08 p.m. – Caller reported being scammed out of $900 trying to buy puppies out of Virginia. Officer responded, noted information at caller’s request. Matter is being referred to the Federal Trade Commission. 1256 Linden Court.

5:52 p.m. – Several emergency vehicles responded to the report of a possible aircraft crash, 55300 block of Highway 20, Cascadia. The caller felt this might have been a military aircraft. She thought it might have crashed by the sounds, but she never saw a crash. Linn County Sheriff’s Office confirmed via the Federal Aviation Administration that two military craft did fly low over the area and left at a high rate of speed. No crash was reported or suspected by the FAA.

6:57 p.m. – Caller reported the theft of a bag, camp stove, wallet, phone and cooler, 44400 block of North River. Report taken.

9:03 p.m. – Jedediah Trevor Childress, 40, arrested for driving under the influence of intoxicants and reckless driving. Also cited for failure to yield to an emergency vehicle, refusal to take a Breathalyzer test, dangerous left turn and unsignaled lane change. Cited and released. 4100 block Main Street.

10:47 p.m. – James Michael Heaberlin, 25, arrested for second-degree criminal trespass and on Sweet Home Municipal Court warrant for failure to comply on a second-degree theft charge. Cited and released. Caller had reported that a male had pushed his way into a residence earlier in the evening and expressed concerns that he would come back and hurt a family member. 1089 Poplar.

July 9

3 a.m. – Ryan D. Magee, 43, arrested on Sweet Home warrant for failure to appear on original charge of second-degree disorderly conduct, Deschutes County.

9:54 a.m. – Heather Renae Fagan, 29, cited and released in field on Sweet Home warrant for failure to comply on original charge of providing false information to a police officer, 877 14th Ave., Sankey Park. Caller had reported people smoking in the bathrooms. Officer contacted a female who said she was just changing. No evidence to support what was reported.

10:49 a.m. – Kaleb Kimber Banta, 22, cited and released in field on Sweet Home warrant for failure to appear on original charges of third-degree theft, resisting arrest and third-degree escape, 1100 block of Cedar.

7:16 p.m. – Caller reported a female damaged a motorcycle, 4400 block of Live Oak. Report taken.

7:34 p.m. – Michael David Dechellis, 53, arrested for driving under the influence in single-vehicle crash, 4600 block of Main. Vehicle impounded.

8:10 p.m. – Caller reported 19 light truck and car tires were dumped in the middle of the road on property managed by Cascade Timber Consulting, 45300 block of Sunnyside. Report taken.

8:22 p.m. – Caller reported 10 used tires dumped on U.S. Army Corps of Engineers property, 43700 block of North River. Report taken.

8:41 p.m. – Deputy located a tire dumped along the 43700 block of North River. Report taken.

9:32 p.m. – A 16-year-old male referred to Juvenile Department for reckless driving, Long and Mountain View. Officer had located a single-vehicle crash. Vehicle removed from ditch by private party. Public Works advised of damage to a speed limit sign.

9:53 p.m. – Caller reported fuel siphoned from his vehicle, 600 block of 43rd.

9:55 p.m. – Cody Michael Lobdell, 24, cited and released in field on Sweet Home warrant for failure to appear on original charge of second-degree theft, and Veronica Szuch, 24, cited and released in fiield on Sweet Home warrant for failure to comply on original charge of second-degree theft, Mountain View and Kalmia. Lobdell cited for driving while suspended and driving uninsured.

11:04 p.m. – Tiffany Ann Bates, 20, arrested on Sweet Home warrant for failure to appear on original charge of third-degree theft, Corvallis.

11:15 p.m. – Caller turned in a dog found on Ridgeway Road. Dog returned to owner.

July 8

7:02 a.m. – Vehicle towed from a ditch where it was crashed and abandoned at the edge of the road, 42300 block of North River.

7:57 a.m. – Anthony Wade Holden, 30, arrested on Sweet Home warrant for failure to comply on original charge of third-degree theft, Lebanon.

10:04 a.m. – Caller was sleeping in the woods when someone broke into his vehicle through a window and stole a suitcase, 46400 block of Quartzville. Report taken.

11:41 a.m. – Crystal Dawn Strickland, 30, arrested on Sweet Home warrant for failure to comply on a criminal driving charge, Linn County.

11:50 a.m. – Caller reported fraudulent charges on his account, 600 block of 14th. Caller had already contacted bank. Information noted.

2:02 p.m. – Caller reported tires dropped on his property, 26600 block of Scott Mountain Road.

2:12 p.m. – Caller reported a caseworker assaulted by an adult she was caring for, 1800 block of 12th. Investigation continuing.

6:36 p.m. – Caller reported that two children jumped a fence and took a basketball, 5526 Poplar St., Foster Elementary School. Officer contacted two males who left the ball in a field. Ball taken for safekeeping. They were advised to stay off school property.

6:50 p.m. – Caller reported two dogs in a vehicle with windows barely down, 1540 Main St., Safeway. Officer responded. Windows were halfway down, and the animals were fine.

10:59 p.m. – Travis Gary Hummer, 34, arrested on Sweet Home warrant for failure to comply on original charge of criminal driving while suspended, Linn County.

11:18 p.m. – Caller reported a deer was hit but still alive and unable to get up, 6000 block of Main. Officer responded. Deer dispatched. Oregon Department of Transportation notified.

July 7

12:34 a.m. – Caller reported that three or four juveniles were on the back dock, 621 Main St., Thriftway. They took off running toward 4th Avenue. Officer unable to locate.

1 a.m. – Frank Thompson II, 40, cited and released on Linn County warrant for failure to appear on original charge of possession of methamphetamine and cited for driving while suspended, driving uninsured and illegal display of plates, 4900 block of Main. Vehicle impounded.

8:13 a.m. – Caller turned in a broken phone and casino club cards, 5200 block of Main. Placed in found property.

10:31 a.m. – Melissa Jean Ackley, 42, cited and released on Sweet Home warrant for failure to comply on original charge of second-degree theft and Lebanon warrant for probation violation on original charge of second-degree theft, 1950 Main St., Sweet Home Police Department.

10:43 a.m. – Michael Eric Clendenen, 37, arrested on Sweet Home warrant for failure to appear on original charge of criminal driving while suspended, Redmond.

11:05 a.m. – Jeremy Michael Hicks, 39, arrested on Sweet Home warrant for failure to comply on original charge of third-degree theft, 1950 Main St. Cited and released.

12:39 p.m. – Hunter Areil Ringheimer, 26, cited and released for third-degree theft, 621 Main St., Thriftway.

3:43 p.m. – Caller reported a suspicious vehicle parked along Wiley Creek with garbage in the bed, 43800 block of Wiley Creek. Deputy located individuals who were just in the creek. They were warned for trespassing.

4:46 p.m. – Caller found a dog at large, 1530 Tamarack St., Tamarack Ridge Estates. Dog placed in kennel. Dog control advised.

6:29 p.m. – Joshua Leslie, 32, cited and released in field for second-degree disorderly conduct and possession of methamphetamine, Kalmia and 13th bus stop. Caller had reported two males physically fighting.

7:43 p.m. – Overdose reported, 1540 Main St. Medics and officer responded. Narcan administered. Male evaluated by medics but refused to be transported. Syringe seized from a vehicle.

8:28 p.m. – Jamie Carpenter, 44, cited for driving while suspended and driving uninsured, 1200 block of 23rd.

8:51 p.m. – Robert Hilliard, 50, cited and released in field on Lebanon warrant for failure to appear on original charge of driving while suspended and Sweet Home warrant for failure to comply on original charge of third-degree theft, 3127 Main St.

11:02 p.m. – Caller reported a dog had been barking for hours causing other dogs to bark, 1800 block of Ulex. Officer advised the resident of the complaint. The resident was having a barbecue and planned to wrap it up soon.

11:24 p.m. – Abandoned vehicle posted for removal, 1100 block of 47th.

July 6

9:12 a.m. – Caller located a male going through his garbage, 300 block of Taylor Creek. Officer contacted the male and trespassed him from the location.

10:11 a.m. – Marcus Wesley Hesson, 48, arrested on Linn County warrant for probation violation on original charge of failure to report as a sex offender, 877 14th Ave., Sankey Park. Transported to Linn County Jail.

10:22 a.m. – Caller reported that someone ran into a parked car and the driver was complaining of leg pain, 5500 block of Poplar. Officer assisted with exchange of information, and medics examined the driver. No injuries. No citations.

10:55 a.m. – Caller reported his neighbor’s dogs are running loose, 1300 block of Clark Mill. Officer contacted the caller, who said one of the dogs was outside but did not leave its own yard. The owner gathered the dog and left.

11:10 a.m. – Caller found bolt cutters in her recycle bin, 1300 block of Long St. Item disposed of.

12:38 p.m. – Caller found syringes in the backyard of a house she is selling, 1000 block of 12th. Items seized for destruction.

1:15 p.m. – Caller turned in a container full of syringes, 2200 block of long. Caller referred to the drop box at Linn County Public Health.

1:52 p.m. – Harvey Kapicka, 34, cited for consuming or possessing alcohol in public, 1200 block of Long. Caller had requested a welfare check on a male lying unconscious over the curb.

2:25 p.m. – Caller reported that someone from the VFW signed for her package and stole it, 550 Main St. Report taken. Investigation continuing.

3:12 p.m. – Caller reported a male entered her house and stole items, 1400 block of 53rd. Report taken.

4 p.m. – Priscilla Denise Vanderark, 44, cited for failure to comply on original charge of second-degree criminal mischief, Linn County.

4:33 p.m. – Caller reported registration stickers stolen, 3224 Main St., South Fork manufactured home park. Report taken. Loss valued at $10.

11:20 p.m. – Caller reported someone broke into a motor home and stole several items, 49000 block of Quartzville. Report taken.
