12:29 p.m. – Rhonda Christine Reed, 54, arrested for driving under the influence, 10th and Main. Cited and released.

9:28 a.m. – Caller reported improper placement of signs, 1200 block of Nandina and 1800 block of Kalmia. Referred to code enforcement.

10:26 p.m. – Kyle William Hadley, 21, arrested on Sweet Home warrant for failure to comply on original charge of third-degree theft, Lebanon. Cited and released.

11:20 a.m. – Caller reported tall weeds and grass, 1300 block of 47th. Referred to code enforcement.

11:22 a.m. – Thomas Wayne Freeman, 45, arrested for third-degree theft and Albany warrant for failure to appear on original charge of trespassing, 1540 Main St., Safeway. Cited and released.

11:33 a.m. – Michell Dawn Slay, 27, turned in herself on a Sweet Home warrant for failure to comply on original charge of second-degree disorderly conduct, 1950 Main St., Sweet Home Police Department. Cited and released.

12:14 p.m. – Caller reported a small puppy in a vehicle with the windows rolled up, 621 Main St., Thriftway. Caller opened the door to let air in for the dog. Officer responded. The dog was in the vehicle for about 20 minutes. Officer counseled owner about leaving the dog in a vehicle.

12:37 p.m. – Irma Louise Snyder, 51, cited and released in field for third-degree criminal trespass, 621 Main St., Thriftway.

July 19

12:35 a.m. – Caller reported that someone started a small fire, 1500 Tamarack St., Rainier Wood. Officer responded. An equipment malfunction started a smoldering fire.

9:11 a.m. – Shaw Jerred Valentine, 25, arrested on Sweet Home warrant for failure to comply on original charge of third-degree theft, 47th Avenue. Cited and released.

11:12 a.m. – Thomas Edward Light, 33, arrested on Linn County warrant and Lebanon warrants for failure to appear on original charge of possession of meth and failure to appear on original charge of third-degree theft, 12th and Long. Cited and released.

3:45 p.m. – Caller reported a laptop stolen from her home, 1200 block of Second. Report taken.

4:06 p.m. – Michael Aaron Kahrmann, 18, arrested on Sweet Home warrants for failure to appear on original charge of third-degree criminal mischief and second-degree disorderly conduct, Beaverton. Cited and released.

8:47 p.m. – Caller reported that someone started a fire in a flower pot, 1200 block of 44th. Officer responded. Fire department responded. The fire could have been smoldering for some time. Unknown how long. No sign of foul play.

10:39 p.m. – Caller reported a theft, 1540 Main St., Safeway. Report taken.

July 18

8:22 a.m. – Caller reported finding a bicycle in the park, 1700 block of 11th. Bicycle seized as found property.

10:20 a.m. – Daniel Lee Kellum, 39, turned in himself on a Sweet Home warrant for failure to appear on original charge of third-degree theft, 1950 Main St., Sweet Home Police Department. Cited and released.

11:10 a.m. – Caller reported two dogs in a vehicle with the windows rolled up, First and Highway 228. Officer located vehicle parked in the shade with passenger windows down. The dogs had water. Officer advised the owner of the complaint.

11:44 a.m. – Michael Austin Hurley, 35, arrested on two Sweet Home warrants for failure to appear on original charges of third-degree theft, Midway. Cited and released.

1:22 p.m. – Caller reported dogs in a car with windows rolled up, 1980 Main St., Bi-Mart. Officer unable to locate vehicle.

2:01 p.m. – Caller reported a male stealing alcohol, 621 Main St., Thriftway. Report taken. The caller was able to retrieve the stolen alcohol.

2:19 p.m. – A male with warrants and probable cause ran away from a police officer, 1300 block of Nandina. Report taken for third-degree escape and third-degree criminal mischief. Loss valued at $50.

2:19 p.m. – Laryssa Jean Cox, 26, cited and released in field on Sweet Home warrant for failure to appear on original charge of second-degree disorderly conduct, 1300 block of Nandina.

2:19 p.m. – Officer located a bag full of crushed pop bottles that appeared to be from a store’s bottle room, 1300 block of Nandina. Property seized and returned to Safeway.

2:49 p.m. – Terry Lynn Ballweber, 51, arrested on Sweet Home warrants for failure to appear on original charge of second-degree theft and failure to appear on original charge of second-degree criminal trespass, 1540 Main St., Safeway. Cited and released.

2:52 p.m. – Caller reported damage to the bottle return storage cage, 1540 Main St., Safeway. Report taken. Loss valued at $50.

5:04 p.m. – Caller turned in a set of keys with a Fred Meyer rewards card, 12th and Nandina. Seized as found property.

6:41 p.m. – Caller reported transients sleeping behind an apartment building, 1000 block of Nandina. Officer responded and contacted a transient, who was advised and left the area.

9:03 p.m. – Amanda June Herbert, 27, arrested for second-degree criminal trespass and three Sweet Home warrants for failure to appear on original charges of third-degree theft, 1540 Main St., Safeway. Cited and released.

10:03 p.m. – Richard Guy Tagen, 26, arrested on Sweet Home warrant for failure to appear on original charge of fourth-degree assault and Lebanon warrants for contempt of court and probation violation on original charge of second-degree theft and failure to appear on a criminal citation, Napa parking lot. Cited and released.

11:04 p.m. – Caller reported a big hole appeared in a window, and glass was all over the place, 6099 Main St., The Woods. Report taken. It appeared to be from a rock thrown or kicked up by a vehicle. Loss valued at $100.

July 17

2:54 a.m. – Jody Lawrence Maruffo, 36, arrested on Sweet Home warrant for failure to appear on original charge of contempt of court and failure to appear on original charge of third-degree escape, 12th and Kalmia. Cited and released.

6:19 a.m. – Caller reported her driver’s window was broken during the night, 2200 block of Long. Report taken.

8:52 a.m. – Caller reported finding a briefcase, Sankey Park. Briefcase empty. Seized as found property.

10:34 a.m. – Caller reported tall weeds and grass, 4900 block of Main. Referred to code enforcement.

10:37 a.m. – Caller reported that someone broke into three vehicles, 1300 block of Clark Mill. Report taken. Loss valued at $28.

10:39 a.m. – Caller reported trash piled up along a fence, 700 block of Eighth. Referred to code enforcement.

11:20 a.m. – Ariel Shanea Kaping, 21, arrested for theft of mislaid property, 1325 Elm St. Cited and released.

12:14 p.m. – Caller reported that two nights earlier, someone threw tomatoes at the caller’s vehicle and one night earlier, eggs at her vehicle, 49th and Main. Information noted.

2:44 p.m. – Clinton Jack Williams, 27, arrested on Sweet Home warrant for failure to appear on original charge of interfering with making a report, 1950 Main St., Sweet Home Police Department. Cited and released.

3:27 p.m. – Julia Anne Payne, 36, arrested on Sweet Home warrant for failure to appear on original charge of third-degree theft, Lebanon. Cited and released.

3:49 p.m. – Matthew Charles Nill, 32, arrested on Linn County warrant for failure to comply on original charge of third-degree theft (owes 10 days in jail), and Jesse Lane Davis, 20, arrested on Linn County warrant for failure to comply on original charge of third-degree theft and Sweet Home warrant for failure to appear on original charge of third-degree theft, 1250 Nandina St. Both transported to Linn County Jail.

July 16

10:36 a.m. – Caller reported finding a bottle with white powder in the caller’s yard, 1100 block of Ironwood. Item seized.

10:41 a.m. – Caller reported tall weeds and grass, 5500 block of Larch. Referred to code enforcement.

11:32 a.m. – Caller reported her son crashed on his bicycle when a car ran a stop sign, 1100 block of 29th. Information noted, and officer would be on the lookout.

11:48 a.m. – Ashley Marie Smith, 25, arrested on two Linn County warrants for contempt of court on original charge of harassment, 1140 12th Ave., Sweet Home Municipal Court. Transported to Linn County Jail.

12:17 p.m. – Crystal Chantel Dawn Schatz, 31, arrested on a Sweet Home warrant for failure to appear on original charge of second-degree criminal mischief, 1140 12th Ave., Sweet Home Municipal Court. Transported to Linn County Jail.

2:44 p.m. – Richard Anthony Bender, 40, arrested on Sweet Home warrant for failure to appear on original charge of second-degree theft, 1140 12th Ave., Sweet Home Municipal Court. Cited and released.

3:17 p.m. – John Marian Gillispie, 54, arrested on Sweet Home warrant for failure to appear on original charge of third-degree theft, Douglas County. Cited and released.

3:56 p.m. – Caller reported a transient camp in the area of 11th and the railroad track. Officer contacted four subjects, who left the location for the night and would return in the morning to gather belongings.

5:40 p.m. – David Wayne Samson, 53, turned in himself on a Sweet Home warrant for failure to appear on original charge of third-degree theft, 1950 Main St., Sweet Home Police Department. Cited and released.

7:01 p.m. – Caller reported people going door to door selling items, 700 block of 29th. Officer responded and advised subjects they would need a license to continue through the city.

7:11 p.m. – Travis Trent Stach-Sells, 25, cited on a Sweet Home warrant for failure to comply on original charge of second-degree theft, Linn County Jail.

9:05 p.m. – Tony Ray Picard, 28, arrested on Sweet Home warrant for failure to appear on original charge of second-degree criminal mischief, 12th and Nandina. Cited and released.

9:37 p.m. – James Andrew Linder, 27, arrested on Lebanon warrant for failure to appear on a criminal citation and Marion County warrant for contempt of court on original charge of robbery, Chevron. Cited and released.

10:27 p.m. – Caller reported a subject stole a basket full of items and went out the fire exit, 1540 Main St., Safeway. Report taken.

11:53 p.m. – Nathan Allen Barker, 18, arrested for second-degree theft, 1950 Main St., Sweet Home Police Department. Cited and released.

July 15

3:43 a.m. – Caller stated there was an illegal camp east of Foster Lake on the north side of the road. There was a vehicle, tent and campfire.

2:57 p.m. – Multiple callers reported a fight between juveniles, with one possibly being assulted by two others, Sankey Park. Officers responded and found no substantial evidence of a crime, no victims or suspects.

3:35 p.m. – Caller reported a back window stolen from a vehicle, 5300 block of Main. Report taken. Loss valued at $150.

3:48 p.m. – Caller reported the theft of a shopping cart from Sweet Home Emergency Ministries, 1115 Long St. Report taken. Loss valued at $300.

4:17 p.m. – Caller reported vehicle ramps permanently placed in roadway, 4900 block of Maple. Referred to code enforcement.

6:08 p.m. – Caller reported that someone reached into his vehicle while parked at Les Schwab and stole his phone. Report taken. Loss valued at $200.

10:59 p.m. – Caller reported finding a pair of glasses during the Sweet Ride Car Show, Husky Field. Seized as found property.

11:21 p.m. – Caller reported three subjects walking up the street kicking garbage cans over, 1300 block of Clark Mill. Officer contacted male subjects who knocked a can over. They set it upright and went home.

July 14

4:21 a.m. – Caller reported a gas tank stolen from his boat, 5300 block of Main. Report taken. Loss valued at $30.

8:05 a.m. – Caller reported that someone stole a backpack blower from the back of his truck, 2200 block of Ironwood. Report taken. Loss valued at $500.

8:38 a.m. – Caller reported neighbors keeping bees, and they are swarming, 1900 block of 37th. Referred to code enforcement.

8:40 a.m. – Caller reported tall grass, 1200 block of Second. Referred to code enforcement.

9:19 a.m. – Caller reported that someone jumped the fence and siphoned fuel from multiple items, 1300 block of Clark Mill. Report taken. Loss valued at $142.

10:19 a.m. – Tony Ray Roebuck, 21, cited for driving while suspended and driving uninsured, north of Foster Dam.

10:21 a.m. – Caller reported improper posting of a sign.

11:32 a.m. – Caller reported that someone broke the back window of her vehicle, 900 block of Long. Report taken. Loss valued at $300.

1:40 p.m. – Caller reported a male waving a gun around by the bathrooms, Shea Point. Officer searched area. Unable to locate anyone matching the description.

1:42 p.m. – Skyler Kole Underhill, 18, arrested for disorderly conduct, 1530 Tamarack St., Mountain Shadows. Caller had reported a male trying to get into the house in space 5 and then going over to space 99. Cited and released.

5:41 p.m. – Caller reported that someone broke windows in a vehicle, 23rd and Ames Creek. Report taken.

6:48 p.m. – Caller reported a wallet lost or stolen, 1400 block of Nandina. Information noted.

7:35 p.m. – Caller reported a male coming to her door and acting strangely, 1000 block of 13th. The male asked if she was queen of the house. Officer responded and contacted the subject, who was in town selling magazines as part of a competition to win a trip. Officer warned the subject for no peddler’s license. The subject would advise the rest of the group about the warning.

9:38 p.m. – Caller hit a deer, 41100 block of Highway 228. The dear is dead. Vehicle damaged. The grill was gone and headlight broken.

10:57 p.m. – Randolph Herbert Hagans, 54, arrested for restraining order violation, 1200 12th Ave., Chewy’s.

11:50 p.m. – Shaw Jerred Valentine, 25, cited for driving while suspended and illegal display of registration tags; and Kristen Marie Rost, 24, arrested on Linn County warrant for probation violation on original charges of possession of heroin and endangering the welfare of a minor, 1200 block of Second. Cited and released.

July 13

10:07 a.m. – Caller reported his son’s bike was stolen from site 38A at Sunnyside Park. Report taken.

1:08 p.m. – A 10 ft. long sailboat, with a red hull with white interior, no rudder or sail, was found at the Sunnyside Boat Ramp.

3:01 p.m. – Caller reported about five people shooting off bottle rockets at Bates Bridge. A second caller reported he heard what sounded like someone shooting in the area.

5:31 p.m. – Suzanne Marie Smith, 34, cited for driving while suspended and failure to renew vehicle registration, 13th and Nandina.

10:47 p.m. – Steven Edward Grimm, 45, cited for driving while suspended, driving uninsured and improper display of validation stickers, Redwood and 12th.

11:34 p.m. – Jesse Alan Marsh III, 27, cited for driving while suspended, Mountain View and Harding.

July 12

2:01 a.m. – Caller reported an unruly group of about 10 people in C Loop near the bathrooms at Sunnyside Park.

July 11

3:49 a.m. – Caller reported people doing cookies in the parking lot at Seven Mile Camp. The caller said there was a campfire going, and the caller has video of it.

9:41 a.m. – Caller said he bought a tractor from the person who used to own property in the 28300 block of Pleasant Valley. The new owners will not let him pick up the tractor.

6:20 p.m. – Caller’s husband’s bike was taken while they were camping in Sunnyside Park. Report taken.

July 10

6:31 a.m. – Caller loaned his car to someone and the vehicle was stolen from that person, Moose Mountain Road.

9:26 a.m. – Caller said her daughter is getting text messages from another girl, 44000 block of North River. In one of the messages, she said she was going to burn down the caller’s home.

1:51 p.m. – Caller said garbage and a mattress were dumped at the 3½ mile marker at Old Hufford Bridge.

3:16 p.m. – Caller thought his dad’s small utility vehicle with wooden sides, which was stolen, was near Jones Drilling.

9:01 p.m. – Caller has a stalking order against a subject. Caller said he was on the sidewalk near where she lives, 42600 block of North River. Report taken.

July 9

11:33 a.m. – Caller is concerned about possible jacking or cloning of cell phone, 26300 block of Fern Ridge. Also has concerns for financial security and destruction of property.

12:58 p.m. – Caller reported a stolen gas can, Whitcomb Creek Park. Report taken.

July 8

3:14 p.m. – Caller had his boat on the water at Green Peter Dam on Sunday when a jet ski hit his boat on the left side, causing damage. He reported to his insurance company.

9:36 p.m. – A man contacted a person in the 42000 block of Upper Calapooia Dr. and said his truck was stuck in the river about a mile upstream from the address. He had been trespassed from the caller’s property before.
