July 18

9:41 a.m. – Caller reported damage to a fire hydrant and vandalism, 1400 block of 24th. Report taken. Loss valued at more than $100.

9:54 a.m. – Caller reported a neighbor’s dog continually barking, 300 block of Ironwood. Referred to code enforcement.

10:02 a.m. – Caller reported hedges next to the sidewalk are impeding wheelchair passage, 1300 block of Sunset.

10:15 a.m. – Caller reported subjects going through his dumpster, and he would like them trespassed, 610 Main St., Dan Dee Sales. Officer would attempt to locate and trespass the subjects.

11:26 a.m. – Caller reported a male went onto a neighbor’s property and filled his water bottle from the neighbor’s hose, 2800 block of Fir. Officer contacted the male and advised him not to return to the property without permission.

12:34 p.m. – Caller reported that someone broke into a house the caller just purchased, 1300 block of Clark Mill. Report taken.

1:26 p.m. – Melissa Ann Goldsby, 31, cited for speeding, 65 mph in a 45-mph zone, Storage Depot.

July 17

12:40 a.m. – Caller found a jacket with drug paraphernalia, 1300 block of Grape. Officer seized the property.

8:13 a.m. – Caller reported a gray Honda Accord had been at the Pleasant Valley Boat Ramp with the driver’s window down since 4:30 a.m. It had no license or temporary tag on it. Officer contacted a female at the location taking a nap.

8:21 a.m. – Caller reported a small pink girl’s bike had been left on the front lawn, 605 Elm St., Oak Heights Elementary. Collected and placed in Police Department bike shed.

8:42 a.m. – Caller reported that her neighbor revved up his motorcycle at 8:30 a.m. loudly enough to wake up the neighborhood and then shut it off, 900 block of 23rd. Information noted.

8:53 a.m. – Gerlinde Spring Lynch, 37, served on a Sweet Home warrant for failure to comply on original charge of second-degree criminal trespass, Lebanon.

10:53 a.m. – Caller reported a small dog in an outdoor kennel 24 hours a day, seven days a week, and the dog cries constantly, 2600 block of Harding. Officer contacted the dog owner, who would try to come up with a better solution for the dog.

1:57 p.m. – Caller reported that someone broke off his back porch light, 900 block of Birch. Report taken.

4:39 p.m. – Thomas Junior Hernandez, 52, arrested for harassment, 4700 block of Main. Cited and released.

7:38 p.m. – Caller turned in a purse he found on the Highway near Cascadia State Park. Placed in found property.

9:10 p.m. – Caller reported a male and female digging through trash cans, Eighth and Elm. They had dumped everything out of a can. Officer contacted a couple, who advised that they had permission from some residents to go through garbage. They did not make a mess. Officer advised the neighbors that they could have the two trespassed if they didn’t want them on their property.

9:46 p.m. – Caller reported a neighbor revving his motorcycle again, 900 block of 23rd.

July 16

12:56 a.m. – Gabriel Wayne Redick, 19, cited for speeding and failure to carry proof of insurance, 3200 block of Main.

1:14 a.m. – Caller reported that a dog that belongs to the neighbor was in front of the caller’s residence barking, 100 block of Eighth. The caller tried to go to the neighbor, but there was no answer at the door. Dog placed in kennel.

5:08 a.m. – Clinton Jeffery Gregg, 24, and Wesley James Bennett, 49, charged with second-degree disorderly conduct, 10th and Cedar. Gregg cited and released from Police Department. Bennett cited and released in field due to injuries. The caller, Bennett, had reported four or five guys yelling. Caller said he was going to confront them. Dispatch advised the caller to remain at his residence, but reiterated to the dispatcher that he was going to confront them and hung up the phone.

7:57 a.m. – Andra Joyce Ashby, 35, arrested on Linn County warrant for probation violation on original charge of first-degree criminal mistreatment, 15th and Main. Transported to Linn County Jail.

8:40 a.m. – Caller reported that one of his dogs has an injured foot caused by the neighbor’s dog roaming free, coming to the caller’s fence and antagonizing the caller’s dog to bark and run at the caller’s fence. Officer assisted in mediating a solution.

10:42 a.m. – Caller found a drill in the street, 1500 block of Ninth. Placed in found property.

10:52 a.m. – Elias James Severson, 38, arrested on Sweet Home warrant for failure to comply on original charge of second-degree theft, Jefferson County. Cited and released.

11:50 a.m. – Caller reported that when a male was told he could not have his coffee drink in the library, he went out and threw it in the book return bin, 1101 13th Ave., Sweet Home Public Library. Report taken.

1:02 p.m. – Caller reported that someone came into the caller’s house the previous day and removed the license plate stickers from the registration the caller had just received, 1200 block of 44th. Information noted.

1:40 p.m. – Caller reported shooing a pit bill from his porch, 4100 block of Osage. Officer unable to locate the dog running loose.

2:59 p.m. – Caller found a backpack on the sidewalk, 4400 block of Highway 20. Placed in found property.

4:12 p.m. – Ronald Cleve Ford, 50, arrested for failure to comply on original charge of second-degree criminal mischief, Hilltop Market. Cited and released.

4:33 p.m. – Caller reported that a dog wanders onto her property, and she is afraid it may attack horses, 1400 block of Nandina. Officer contacted the owner of the dog and warned him.

5:01 p.m. – Caller reported a male and female trying to sell CDs to customers in the parking lot, 1540 Main St., Safeway. Officer contacted the couple, who were trying to give away CDs. They were advised to get a peddler’s permit if they were selling anything.

5:25 p.m. – David Alexander Rosenzweig, 45, arrested for driving under the influence, 6000 block of Main. Cited and released.

5:38 p.m. – Caller reported that several people yelled and cursed at him when he advised them that there is a leash law in the park, Northside Park. Officer contacted the owner of the dog and advised the owner of the leash law. Everyone in the group denied an altercation with the caller.

6:17 p.m. – Caller reported someone stole his bike and cell phone, 1300 block of Nandina. Report taken. Loss valued at $100.

7:05 p.m. – Chaylan Dale Tosta, 34, arrested for second-degree disorderly conduct, and Heather Leann Lillis, 31, arrested on Marion County warrant for driving under the influence, Highway 228 and First. Tosta cited and released. Lillis transported to Linn County Jail.

7:11 p.m. – Caller reported that a male on a motorcycle drove through his yard, 1000 block of 23rd. Officer responded. Caller wanted to trespass the male. Officer contacted the male’s wife, who advised she would have him call when he returned home.

8:01 p.m. – Caller reported that a male drove into a parked vehicle, 1400 block of Main. Report taken. Damage less than $1,500. Driver was Ronald Ray Nipp, 78. Nipp had been cited previously in the week on July 13 for failure to perform the duties of a driver.

8:56 p.m. – Caller reported finding a knife attached to a spoon in the bathroom after a male and female were in the lobby telling the caller not to tell anyone they were there, 2300 block of Main. Information noted. Item seized for disposal.

July 15

7:03 a.m. – Caller reported that when he showed up at work, he found a male sleeping in a vehicle in the parking lot, 4400 block of Main. Caller noticed he was using a screw driver in the ignition. The officer contacted the subject, who owned the vehicle and drove to the location following an argument.

9:55 a.m. – Caller reported a dangerous tree, 1300 block of Poplar. Referred to code enforcement.

10:14 a.m. – Caller reported tall grass, 1100 block of Second. Referred to code enforcement.

10:26 a.m. – Caller reported a female lying down behind the American Legion building. Officer contacted a female who had been sleeping. She planned to move on.

12:38 p.m. – Caller reported a male with a purple shirt and blue backpack took a bicycle from in front of a house, 1300 block of Nandina. Report taken.

4:27 p.m. – Caller reported a dog barking for hours, 1200 block of Fourth. Officer was unable to contact the owner but would try back and pass information to other officers.

5:10 p.m. – Caller reported a neighbor parked on his grass, 1530 Tamarack St., Mountain Shadows. Neighbor warned for trespass and advised that if it happens again, he would be arrested.

5:38 p.m. – Elizabeth Lynn Brown, 34, arrested on Lebanon warrant for contempt of court on original charge of third-degree theft and probation violation and Albany warrant for failure to appear on original charge of larceny, 42nd and Osage.

6:42 p.m. – Stacy Lloyd Vaughn, 37, arrested for driving under the influence in two-vehicle crash, 6000 block of Main. Cited and released. Second driver was Milo Anthony Maccarone, 61. His passenter Melody Maccarone was transported to Samaritan Lebanon Community Hospital with injuries. Callers reported a vehicle had hit a telephone pole and was hanging over the edge by the lake.

7:55 p.m. – Scheri Janae Oliver, 34, cited on Sweet Home warrant for failure to comply on original charge of first-degree criminal trespass, Marion County Jail.

July 14

12:08 a.m. – Sabrina Marie Major, 33, arrested for driving under the influence and cited for driving while suspended, 1500 block of Long. Cited and released.

4:15 a.m. – Caller reported juveniles prowling around his yard, 4400 block of Live Oak. He chased them, two females and a male riding bicycles. Caller requested extra patrol.

7:51 a.m. – Caller reported cordless drill was left in caller’s yard, 900 block of 12th. Seized as found property.

8:29 a.m. – Caller reported a jacket with his wallet taken, Sankey Park. Report taken. Loss valued at less than $100.

9:14 a.m. – Caller reported what looked like a bag of weed sitting on a picnic table, Sankey park. Seized as found property.

9:48 a.m. – Caller reported that someone tried to scam him when buying his motorcycle through an Internet ad, but his bank caught it and advised him to report it to police, 25000 block of West Brush Creek.

10:31 a.m. – Caller reported that a boat on a trailer has been parked past the allowed amount of time, and now the boat is halfway off the trailer, 23rd and Ironwood. Investigation continuing.

11:17 a.m. – Caller reported a female passed out on a bench near the bathroom, Sankey Park. Officer contacted the female, who was awake and walking away.

11:38 a.m. – Caller reported a trailer left parked in front of the caller’s residence for three weeks, 900 block of Dogwood. Trailer posted for removal.

11:58 a.m. – Caller reported a junk vehicle and loud noises, 400 block of 10th. Referred to code enforcement.

2:11 p.m. – Two-vehicle crash, 15th and Main. No injuries. No citations.

2:57 p.m. – Caller reported selling a motorcycle, and an out-of-state buyer sent him a scam check for more than the purchase price, 3900 block of Osage. Information noted.

5:42 p.m. – Caller reported a group of kids harassing him and his girlfriend, 800 block of 14th. Officer contacted parties. Both parties were heated. Officer advised them to keep the peace.

8:06 p.m. – Caller reported juveniles lighting fireworks, 1530 Tamarack St., Mountain Shadows. Officer responded. All quiet.

8:47 p.m. – Caller reported someone threw fireworks at her from a moving vehicle, 18th and Long. Officer responded. Subject vehicle gone on arrival, but officer would keep an eye out for it.

9:43 p.m. – Caller reported a dog barking for several hours, 19th and Long. Officer responded. Several dogs were barking in the area due to a buzzer going off at Hawthorne School.

July 13

2:21 a.m. – Caller reported a woman hurt by her boyfriend, 1400 block of 47th Ave. Report taken for harassment and strangulation. Male gone upon officer arrival.

2:56 p.m. – Theresa Christine Alberts, 28, arrested on Linn County warrant for failure to appear on original charge of possession of meth, 1540 Main St., Safeway. Transported to Linn County Jail.

3:05 p.m. – Jayson Gene Nelson, 36, arrested on a Sweet Home warrant for third-degree sexual abuse, Albany. Cited and released.

3:56 p.m. – Caller reported a male going door to door and wanting to inspect her roof, 1100 block of 37th. He told the caller he would return the following day. Officer responded. Unable to locate the male subject. Officer advised her not to answer the door if the male returns and to call and have him removed from the property.

4:34 p.m. – Donna Ashley Claxton, 23, arrested on Sweet Home warrant for failure to comply on original charge of third-degree theft, Albany. Cited and released.

4:49 p.m. – Caller reported homeless people sleeping on abandoned property, 44th and Main. Officer contacted two males at the location and the property owner, who advised that she had no issues with the males being there briefly. The males were advised to clean up any mess before leaving.

5:09 p.m. – Cooper Dale Dixon, 51, arrested on Albany warrant for failure to appear on original charge of possession of alcohol in a public place, 4325 Main St. Cited and released.

6:29 p.m. – Caller reported that a neighbor’s dogs bark day and night, 1800 block of Kalmia. Officer responded and sat outside. The officer did not hear barking but would do random checks.

6:51 p.m. – Caller reported a vehicle had been parked for two weeks, 4900 block of Mimosa. Officer responded. The vehicle belonged to a resident who had just moved in.

6:58 p.m. – Caller reported three puppies stolen the previous day, and she located one of them with a female on a bicycle, 1900 block of 19th. A second caller reported that a female approached her, started yelling at her and took her dog. Officer responded. Report taken for first-degree theft.

8:04 p.m. – Ronald Ray Nipp, 78, cited and released in field for failure to perform the duties of a driver, 1854 Elm St. Caller had reported someone hitting her vehicle, driving off, parking in a yard and walking away.

10:24 p.m. – Caller reported a neighbor was using fireworks, 1800 block of Vine. When the caller asked him to stop, the neighbor started cursing at the caller. Officer responded and contacted a male who was lighting legal fireworks.

11:13 p.m. – Landon Frank Gerard, 40, arrested on Sweet Home warrant for failure to appear on original charge of third-degree criminal mischief, Deschutes County. Cited and released.

11:20 p.m. – Leslie Michelle Gerard, 37, arrested on Sweet Home warrant for failure to appear on original charge of offensive littering, Deschutes County. Cited and released.

11:27 p.m. – Jacob Mitchell Thurber, 24, cited on Sweet Home warrant for failure to appear on original charge of driving under the influence, Linn County Jail.

July 12

12:15 a.m. – Melanie Ashley Zajic, 32, cited and released in field on Sweet Home warrant for failure to comply on original charge of harassment, 23rd and Long.

12:56 a.m. – Heather Nicole Matney, 22, served on a Sweet Home warrant for second-degree theft, Albany.

1:03 a.m. – Caller reported he was punched on July 8, 4800 block of Main. Report taken.

8:24 a.m. – Caller reported that he had subjects stealing items on video, 2405 Main St., Circle K. Report taken. Loss valued at $70.

9:54 a.m. – Caller reported the theft of gas cans from her garage, 1900 block of 18th. She requested extra patrol.

12:20 p.m. – Caller reported a residence with five small dogs, which are outside all day barking, 1530 Tamarack St., Mountain Shadows. Officer contacted a male and advised him of the complaint and the city ordinance regulating the number of dogs allowed. The dogs belong to his parents, and he was leaving soon.

1:17 p.m. – Caller reported transients were intoxicated and yelling, 12th and Kalmia. Officer contacted a female who had fallen asleep waiting for her boyfriends to return. Officer advised her of the complaint, and she planned to move along.

3:24 p.m. – Caller reported grass and blackberries growing over the sidewalk, 1200 block of Laurel. Referred to code enforcement.

4:41 p.m. – Ronald Kolbee, 20, arrested on Sweet Home warrants for failure to appear on original three counts of failure to report as a sex offender and third-degree escape and Linn County warrants for failure to appear on original charge of fourth-degree assault and two counts of contempt of court, 12th and Tamarack. Cited and released.

6:40 p.m. – Caller reported juveniles riding skateboards in the road, 49th and Mimosa. They had set up a ramp causing a hazard in the road. Officer contacted the juveniles who were leaving the area on skateboards. Officer advised them to stay out of the roadway.

7:14 p.m. – Caller reported that a male had fallen from a unicycle and was lying in the grass, Oak Terrace and Terrace Lane. Officer responded and contacted an intoxicated male, who was fine and on his way.

8:39 p.m. – Kyle Alexander Richards, 23, cited for no license, 18th and Tamarack.

9:40 p.m. – Caller reported a neighbor is killing nutria and disposing of them in the garbage can; and the smell was “really bad,” 700 block of Long. Referred to code enforcement.

10:54 p.m. – Caller reported that his belongings were thrown into a tree, 16th and Elm. Report taken to be forwarded to city attorney.

July 11

2:38 p.m.- Dawn Marie Thompson, 28, arrested for second-degree criminal mischief and carrying a concealed weapon, 444 Maple Lane. Caller had reported a female breaking the back gate and going into the manufactured home park.

5:18 p.m. – Caller reported a male attempting to sell roof repair supplies, but he didn’t have any credentials or a peddler’s license, 3100 block of Main. Officer unable to locate.

8:23 p.m. – Caller reported a juvenile walking around and swinging a sword, 1530 Tamarack St., Mountain Shadows. Officer counseled juvenile on the danger of his actions.

10:31 p.m. – Caller reported someone went into her house and stole money and jewelry, 2400 block of Main. Report taken. Loss valued at more than $4,000.

10:57 p.m. – Multiple callers reported illegal fireworks in use, Willow and 18th. Officer contacted a male, who admitted to lighting the fireworks. Officer warned him for using illegal fireworks.

11:23 p.m. – Boyd Hoopes Lewis, 36, cited and released in field on Philomath warrant for contempt of court on original charge of misdemeanor driving while suspended.

July 9

12:09 a.m. – James Heaberlin, 21, arrested for first-degree burglary, fourth-degree assault, strangulation, interfering with making a report, first-degree criminal trespass and third-degree criminal mischief, 28100 block of Ridgeway. Caller had reported that Heaberlin was at the location and would only leave if a cop came and got him. Court documents show that a charge of first-degree kidnapping was added and the charge of criminal mischief had been dropped.

11 a.m. – Two dogs were running loose in the area, in the 27900 block of Fern Ridge Rd.

8 p.m. – A deputy contacted a person for illegal camping, in the 44500 block of Santiam Hwy. He told a deputy he would move along.

July 6

9:39 a.m. – Caller reported finding a blue cooler that stunk like there was something dead in it, 40800 block of McDowell Creek. It was part of an elk carcass. The investigation was turned over to Ore-gon State Police Fish and Game.

10:43 a.m. – Caller reported a weed eater and plastic gas can stolen, 43900 block of McDowell Creek. Video surveillance captured the vehicle. Deputies are investigating.

11:36 a.m. – Caller reported a 2001 Toyota Echo abandoned in the 45500 block of Sunnyside Rd. The registered owner was contacted and had it towed.

11:50 a.m. – Caller reported that a male was sending people to a location in the 27900 block of Sunny Valley saying it is for sale. But it is not for sale. This is part of an ongoing dispute.
