July 21

9:54 a.m. – Rubin Lee Dimmick, 18, arrested for felony attempting to elude, misdemeanor attempting to elude, property hit and run and reckless driving, 1950 Main St., Sweet Home Police Department.

10:39 a.m. – Caller reported six to 10 dogs at a residence, 4600 block of Main. Referred to code enforcement.

11:09 p.m. – Caller reported that someone took a hydrant meter valued at $1,000, 24th north of railroad tracks. Report taken.

12:41 p.m. – Raianne Lira Montanez, 14, referred to Juvenile Department for possession of less than an ounce of marijuana, Husky Field. Caller had reported people smoking marijuana by the bleachers. Officer contacted several juveniles. All juveniles released to guardians.

1:53 p.m. – Eugene James May, 40, and Angela Dianne McDonald, 36, arrested for second-degree forgery and possession of a forged instrument, 1250 Second Ave. Cited and released.

July 20

2:54 a.m. – Caller reported a male subject laying in the middle of the street, 12th and Elm. Male was very intoxicated, and officer gave him a courtesy transport to a friend’s residence.

6:41 a.m. – Caller reported items missing from home, 1530 Tamarack St., Mountain Shadows Mobile Home Park. Report taken. Stolen property worth $1,135.

9:29 p.m. – Caller reported a heat pump had been vandalized, 3000 block of Main. Report taken. Damaged valued at more than $3,000.

9:41 a.m. – Hugh Hinton Harris, 62, arrested on Linn County warrant for contempt of court and for possession of meth, 12th and Main. Transported to Linn County Jail.

9:50 a.m. – Caller reported the theft of a bicycle worth $100, 1300 block of Clark Mill. Report taken.

10:12 a.m. – Ryan Kelly Rikala, 28, arrested for unlawful entry into a motor vehicle, first-degree theft and third-degree theft, 621 Main St., Thriftway. Transported to Linn County Jail. A caller reported that a male who was involved in a theft would be at location. Additional callers reported an altercation.

11:35 a.m. – Caller reported that someone broke into her house and took $50 from her purse, 4900 block of Locust. Information noted.

12:23 p.m. – Caller reported tall weeds and grass and trash, 400 block of W. Holley. Referred to code enforcement.

1:46 p.m. – Caller reported a bicycle was taken, 621 Main St., Thriftway. Report taken. Bike valued at $250.

3:37 p.m. – Caller reported a female going door-to-door introducing herself, 1300 block of Elm. Officer responded. Female said she was selling magazines. Officer advised her that she needed a permit.

6:03 p.m. – Caller reported a male subject selling magazines was asking somewhat personal questions and making her feel uncomfortable, 700 block of 43rd. Officer unable to locate.

6:32 p.m. – Leroy James Castorena, 19, arrested on Marion County warrant for third-degree assault and Katelynn Marie Hart, 22, arrested on Clackamas County warrant for failure to appear on original charge of third-degree theft, 1074 43rd Ave. Both transported to Linn County Jail. Caller had reported a male snooping around his property.

7:13 p.m. – Caller reported a male in the area attempting to sell something and acting strange, making her feel somewhat uncomfortable, 1200 block of Laurel. Officer advised that he had contacted the supervisor and advised that they could not be doing this. The supervisor was gathering everyone and would be leaving.

7:46 p.m. – Andrew Mitchell Swanson, 29, arrested for second-degree assault in connection to an assault reported at Chewy’s, 1200 12th Ave., on July 19. Transported to Linn County Jail.

8 p.m. – Caller reported that a subject stole beer and left on a bike, 1540 Main St., Safeway. Report taken. Loss valued at $6.79.

July 19

12:42 a.m. – Sirena Marie Patricio, 22, arrested on Sweet Home warrant for failure to appear on original charge of harassment, Lebanon. Cited and released.

12:50 a.m. – Caller reported a fight at Chewy’s with at least one male injured, 1200 12th Ave. Report taken. Investigation continuing.

11:44 a.m. – Matthew Charles Nill, 31, arrested on warrant for failure to comply on original charge of third-degree theft and cited for possession of marijuana. Cited and released.

1:57 p.m. – Caller reported a bicycle stolen during the night, 4600 block of Main. Report taken.

4:21 p.m. – Caller reported an elderly man on a scooter grabbing his head and swerving into traffic, 1200 block of Long. Officer responded and located a male who would not respond to the officer. Officer called medics and transported him to Samaritan Lebanon Community Hospital.

7:48 p.m. – Caller reported a soda machine missing from Wiley Creek Community, 5050 Mountain Fir St. Information noted.

8:43 p.m. – Caller reported a theft, 2405 Main St., Circle K.

9:18 p.m. – Brennen Sean Scott, 21, cited for no license and arrested on Douglas County warrant for failure to appear on original charges of possession of meth and third-degree theft, 1800 block of Long. Cited and released.

10:45 p.m. – James Robert Warrington, 35, cited and released in field for contempt of court, 24th and Main.

July 18

7:16 a.m. – Caller reported a naked woman arguing with him near the garbage dumpster, 1530 Main St., Santiam Drug. Officer responded and contacted the female, who had her clothes off to check for a rock that was inside her body. Female dressed and went on her way.

11:05 a.m. – Caller reported that a neighbor’s dog is tied outside and barks nonstop all through the day, 1400 block of Westwood. Caller works nights and cannot get any sleep. Referred to code enforcement.

11:13 a.m. – Caller reported being nipped by a dog, 500 block of Mountain View. Skin wasn’t broken. Officer contacted owner and verified that vaccinations are current.

11:19 a.m. – While on patrol, code enforcement officer located signs in violation of code. Officer spoke to property owner. Signs removed.

12:17 p.m. – Caller reported visible trash and an illegal structure, Second Avenue. Referred to code enforcement.

12;35 p.m. – Caller reported tall grass, 1200 block of 47th.

12:37 p.m. – Caller reported that a rottweiler approaches her dog when she walks the South Hills trailer. Referred to code enforcement.

12:39 p.m. – Caller reported the fraudulent use of a credit card, 890 Main St., Towne Pump. Report taken. Loss estimated at $50.

12:45 p.m. – Caller reported a possibly illegal towing business, Sweet Home area. Referred to code enforcement.

1:24 p.m. – Caller reported someone has been camping in an RV for the past three days, Pleasant Valley Boat Ramp. Referred to code enforcement.

2:45 p.m. – Brandon Martin Hugley, 27, arrested on Linn County warrant for failure to appear on original charge of possession of meth, 4347 Main St. Cited and released.

3:08 p.m. – Caller reported a motor home at the same location for the past three weeks, Juniper and 35th. Referred to code enforcement.

3:13 p.m. – Caller reported a vehicle hit and run, 400 block of W. Holley. Report taken.

3:36 p.m. – Caller reported that someone broke into a shed, 2400 block of Main. Report taken. Stolen property valued at $60.

7:03 p.m. – Caller reported that someone punched her car and dented it, 1200 block of Long. Report taken.

8:59 p.m. – Caller reported dogs barking nonstop for three hours, 1600 block of Ninth. Officer left business card and complaint at subject location where two dogs were barking at an open window.

11:04 p.m. – Jason Allen Holder, 41, cited for driving uninsured, 22nd off Main.

11:32 p.m. – Caller reported that someone came up Ames Creek into her backyard, 900 block of 13th. Subject fled upstream when she yelled. Officer unable to locate.

July 17

6:19 a.m. – Caller reported that her ex-girlfriend burned some of her clothing and cash in the backyard, 2400 block of Main. Report taken.

11:32 a.m. – Caller reported that her cat has been shot with a pellet gun, 2700 block of Foothills.

11:59 a.m. – Caller reported that someone has dumped personal trash in the business dumpster, 1530 Main St., Santiam Drug. Report taken.

12:44 p.m. – Caller reported finding a bag of marijuana on school property, 1920 Long St. Property seized for destruction.

2:50 p.m. – Caller reported that people are camping on her property, 2700 block of Long. Officer responded and trespassed one subject from the property.

5:10 p.m. – Caller reported someone living in an RV, a vehicle parked on the sidewalk and tall weeds and grass, 4100 block of Osage. Referred to code enforcement.

6:45 p.m. – Nicholas Aaron Tyree, 32, arrested on Brownsville warrant for failure to appear on a criminal citation, 1283 44th Ave. Cited and released.

July 16

7:27 a.m. – Caller reported two males leaving Safeway with a basketful of groceries, 1540 Main St., Safeway. Report taken. Value unknown.

8:43 a.m. – Caller reported tall grass, Canyon Creek. Referred to code enforcement.

12:02 p.m. – Jacob Evans Tanner Watkins, 18, arrested for third-degree theft, 621 Main St., Thriftway. Cited and released.

12:23 p.m. – Sarah Nicole Johnson, 24, cited for dangerous left turn in two-vehicle crash, 15th and Long. Second driver was Daniel Keith Follett, 23. Minor injuries. Report taken.

2:11 p.m. – Gary Gean Townsend, 32, arrested on Benton County warrant for failure to appear on original charges of second-degree theft, criminal trespass and a citation and charged with possession of meth, 1500 block of Tamarack. Transported to Linn County Jail.

2:37 p.m. – Caller reported the theft of a pressure tank and pump for a well, 2000 block of 18th. Report taken. Value estimated at $1,500.

3:14 p.m. – Caller reported people living in RVs, 4300 block of Main. Referred to code enforcement.

3:31 p.m. – Veronica Lynn Schmidt, 24, cited for driving while suspended, driving uninsured and failure to yield at intersection in two-vehicle crash, Main and 13th. Second driver was Katherine Lynn Doner, 61. No injuries.

7:15 p.m. – Caller reported a theft, 1540 Main St., Safeway. Subjects fled on foot behind store. Report taken. Property valued at about $35.

July 15

9:42 a.m. – Caller reported an RV parked for more than a month and a futon frame in the yard, 1100 block of 29th. Referred to code enforcement.

10:17 a.m. – Caller turned in credit and debit cards left at Foster Lake Mall, 5400 block of Main. Placed in found property.

10:35 a.m. – Caller reported tall weeds and grass, 1700 block of Elm. Referred to code enforcement.

11:50 a.m. – Caller reported someone living in a motor home on city property, 4200 block of Osage. Referred to code enforcement.

12:08 p.m. – Caller reported tall weeds and grass, 40000 block of Osage. Referred to code enforcement.

1:09 p.m. – Caller reported that a male forced her to drive him to Albany, 3500 block of Juniper. Report taken. Investigation continuing.

6:58 p.m. – Zachary Curtis Yutzie, 18, cited for speeding, 60-45, Main and Clark Mill.

July 14

3:32 a.m. – Robert Dean Whitton, 60, turned himself in on Marion County warrant for contempt of court, 1950 Main St., Sweet Home Police Department. Cited and released.

10:56 a.m. – Caller reported the theft of a chainsaw, gas can and items from a shed worth about $110, 26900 block of Old Holley. Report taken.

11:33 a.m. – Caller reported tall weeds and grass, 700 block of Dogwood. Referred to code enforcement.

1:01 p.m. – Caller reported juveniles playing on the hillside, causing rocks to fall into the roadway, 1500 block of 47th. Caller had asked them to move along, but they refused. Officer contacted juveniles and parents and advised them to stay off the hill.

5:02 p.m. – Caller reported multiple trailers and trash accumulated, 4300 block of Main. Referred to code enforcement.

5:46 p.m. – Caller found a bicycle at the top of the hill, 40200 block of Crawfordsville. Placed in found property.

8:38 p.m. – Caller reported three males at 18th and Long. One grabbed a juvenile female that was running from them screaming. Officer contacted the males, who stated the juvenile had taken off from a residence earlier. They had been out looking for her. The male that grabbed her was her uncle. The juvenile had been returned to her mother.

9:54 p.m. – Caller reported a male stole beer, 1540 Main St., Safeway. Report taken. Loss valued at $42.43.

10:11 p.m. – Joseph Robert Vargas, 30, arrested on Lebanon warrant for contempt of court on original charge of third-degree theft, 5503 Main St. Caller had reported subjects playing loud music and pointing lasers at dogs.

11:02 p.m. – Melissa Deanna Jimenez, 20, cited for driving while suspended, 700 block of Long.

11:55 p.m. – Caller turned in a bicycle left at Speedee Mart, 1501 Main St. Placed in found property.

July 13

12:51 a.m. – Caller reported finding blood on the back porch and railing, 300 block of W. Holley. Officer responded and found nothing suspicious. The liquid was from a hummingbird feeder.

1:05 a.m. – Caller reported that a male had stabbed a female in the head, 1900 block of 19th. Officer responded to find a minor harassment from both parties. They separated for the night.

1:58 a.m. – Tom Richtor, 32, cited for second-degree disorderly conduct, 1200 12th Ave., Chewy’s. Cited and released.

8:09 a.m. – Caller reported a male subject sleeping in his neighbor’s garage, 1400 block of 54th. Male left when caller confronted him. Officer responded.

9:42 a.m. – Caller reported two males who looked like they could be siphoning gasoline, 10th Avenue downtown. Officer contacted the registered owner of the vehicle. He was transferring between two vehicles he owns.

10:33 a.m. – Off-duty police officer reported following a motorcycle over the pass. The motorcyclist was standing on the seat of the cycle, using no hands, while riding. Officer responded and warned the motorcyclist. No Sweet Home officer witnessed any violations.

1:21 p.m. – Caller requested help unlocking her vehicle. Officer responded. Driver’s door was already unlocked. Caller believed when she saw her keys inside the vehicle and other doors lock that she had accidentally locked all of the doors.

4:46 p.m. – Caller reported that her boyfriend hit her, 1200 block of 37th. Investigation continuing.

5:28 p.m. – Caller reported that the neighbor’s dog attacked his dog and possibly wounded it critically, 700 block of Fourth. Officer contacted both parties. Dog’s caretaker planned to have it put down.

7:20 p.m. – William Ernest Cockrell Jr., 51, cited and released in field on Albany warrant for failure to appear on original charge of third-degree theft, 2331 Main St.

July 12

2:08 p.m. – Caller reported that a male stole property from her home, 200 block of Nandina. Report taken.

2:44 p.m. – Kelly Yvonne Vernon, 32, cited for no license and Kusaundra Jean Kelly, 26, cited for failure to use seatbelt for child, 2405 Main St., Circle K.

9:09 p.m. – Caller reported her wallet stolen, 1100 block of Main. Report taken. Loss estimated at $60.

9:33 p.m. – Caller said she was beaten up at 1303 Main St., Chevron. Report taken.

11:49 p.m. – Caller reported the theft of $8.99 in property, 1540 Main St., Safeway. Report taken.

July 9

7:05 a.m. – Caller reported the theft of a generator worth $1,000, 38200 block of Courtney Creek. Report taken.

3:16 p.m. – Caller reported finding possibly stolen property dumped on his property, including a jewelry case, 40500 block of McQueen. Items were located in the Calapooia River. Deputy learned that someone had broken into a van in Sweet Home during the weekend, and jewelry had been taken. Details reported to Sweet Home Police Department.

6:36 p.m. – Caller reported three girls ages 9 to 12 missing, 55000 block of Quartzville. They had been last seen four hours earlier. The father of two of the girls woke from a nap to find the three girls were not in camp. He started searching for them with a friend. After several hours of searching, the girls were back in camp. They told a deputy they had walked upstream from the camp, playing in shallow water and did not hear any of the yelling.
