June 25

12:05 a.m. – Amanda Leah Binks, 24, arrested for harassment (domestic violence), 2454 Long St. Cited and released. Caller had reported a female hitting her boyfriend and breaking out his window.

10:39 a.m. – Caller reported that neighbors left their residence and left a dog tied to a fence with barely enough leash to move and no water, 3224 Main St., South Fork manufactured home park. The dog was howling. Officer contacted the manager, who put a longer leash on the dog, gave water to the dog and would keep an eye on the dog.

11:57 a.m. – Caller reported hearing a male yelling at a dog, and it sounded like he might be hitting it, 800 block of 10th. The dog was yelping. Officer contacted the owner, who said he was disciplining the dog for running away but didn’t hit the dog. The dog appeared uninjured.

1:53 p.m. – Caller reported that a dog was back in her yard and didn’t want to leave, 5400 block of Nandina. The owner wasn’t home. Owner later responded to the Police Department to collect the dog.

6:21 p.m. – Caller reported her vehicle stolen, 400 block of 8th. Report taken.

6:56 p.m. – Sean Ever Robinson, 33, arrested on Sweet Home warrant for failure to comply on original charge of second-degree criminal trespass, Linn County. Cited and released.

8:46 p.m. – Stolen vehicle recovered and returned to owner, 23rd and Main. Suspect remained at large.

9:42 p.m. – Caller turned in an iPhone found at Foster Lake. Placed in found property.

June 24

8:59 a.m. – Caller reported an abandoned bicycle, 2000 Main St., McDonald’s. Placed in found property.

10:39 a.m. – Thomas Junior Hernandez, 53, arrested for violation of restraining order and Linn County warrants for four counts of contempt of court. Transported to Linn County Jail.

6:08 p.m. – Dustin Kyle Coughran, 27, arrested on Sweet Home warrants for failure to appear on original charges of first-degree, second-degree and third-degree theft and four counts of failure to appear on original charge of second-degree criminal trespass, Lebanon. Cited and released.

6:24 p.m. – Caller reported that a female stole his car keys at Hilltop Market and drove to Trailer Villa. The caller was able to get his items back. Report taken for harassment and theft.

7:42 p.m. – Evalee Lynn Duncan, 47, arrested on Linn County warrant for possession of meth and Lebanon warrant for contempt of court on original charge of driving while suspended, 1285 46th Ave. Transported to Linn County Jail.

10 p.m. – Caller reported a domestic disturbance where a male stabbed himself in the abdomen multiple times, 42000 block of Ames Creek. Medics transported the male to the hospital.

10:43 p.m. – Lori Lynn Gillihan, 42, arrested for harassment, third-degree theft and providing false information to a police officer; Lebanon warrant for contempt of court on original charge of third-degree theft and Albany warrant for contempt of court, Long and Highway 228. Transported to Linn County Jail.

June 23

8:01 a.m. – Caller reported that a male for whom she is a caregiver was not answering the door, 1300 block of 45th. Officer responded. The male had a medical issue that prevented him from answering the door. He was taken to the hospital.

9:24 a.m. – Caller reported tall grass, 1800 block of Vine. Referred to code enforcement.

10:44 a.m. – Jake James Sorrell, 20, arrested for third-degree theft and Marion County warrant for probation violation, 3041 Main St., Hoy’s Hardware. Transported to Linn County Jail.

11:09 a.m. – Caller turned in a loose dog, 1900 block of Long. Dog returned to owner.

11:33 a.m. – Caller reported persons living in a commercial business, 1200 block of Main. Referred to code enforcement.

11:34 a.m. – Caller reported blackberries growing onto his property, 1300 block of Nandina. Referred to code enforcement.

11:40 a.m. – Caller reported canopy, fridge and miscellaneous items being stored in the public right-of-way, 2200 block of Nandina. Referred to code enforcement.

12:18 p.m. – Caller reported a theft, 1000 block of Main. Report taken. Loss valued at $3.99.

2:21 p.m. – Caller was out of town, and he received a call from a neighbor that his 89-year-old friend’s house was wide open and he was not answering the door, 4300 block of Nandina. Officer located the deceased person. Report taken in death investigation.

2:50 p.m. – Caller reported that she almost punched the window of a vehicle parked in the 4800 block of Main because a dog was inside. The owner came out and left prior to her calling, but she wanted an officer to talk to the owner about leaving dogs in hot cars.

5:31 p.m. – Caller reported that someone may have attempted to break into his garage, 1100 block of 18th. Report taken.

6:07 p.m. – Caller reported that a car in the parking lot, 1980 Main St., Bi-Mart, had a dog in it and the windows were rolled up. Officer noted the windows were partially rolled down. The dog did not seem to be in distress, and the temperature felt acceptably cool. The officer spoke to the registered owner by phone. He said he would call his wife, who was shopping, and ask her to check on the dog.

6:24 p.m. – Caller reported a 4-month-old baby was inadvertently locked in a vehicle, 44900 Quartzville Road. The grandmother parked at a campsite. She and the mother got out of the vehicle, closed the doors and the vehicle automatically locked with the key fob and baby inside. The air conditioning had been on in the vehicle, so there was no immediate danger to the child. Sweet Home Fire District asked a deputy if he had tools to open the vehicle. He did not, so, with the owner’s permission, they broke a small window to gain access to the child. They examined the child as a precaution and found it was not harmed.

6:36 p.m. – Zachary Gene Johnson, 27, cited on a Sweet Home warrant for failure to comply on original charge of second-degree theft, Corvallis.

6:55 p.m. – Caller reported his bicycle stolen, 1900 block of Kalmia. Report taken. Loss valued at $200.

7:33 p.m. – Caller reported an unattended backpack inside the Post Officer foyer, 1303 Long St. Placed in found property.

9:53 p.m. – Leroy Edward Foos, 45, arrested for unauthorized use of a motor vehicle; providing false information to a police officer; Marion County warrant for six counts of second-degree burglary, two counts of first-degree theft and third-degree theft; and Clackamas County warrant for unlawful possession of meth and giving false information to a police officer, 1100 block of 47th. Christopher Brian Meier, 26, arrested for unauthorized use of a motor vehicle and providing false information to a police officer Both transported to Linn County Jail. A caller had reported a passenger parked on the side of the road, and a male was asleep in it.

10:57 p.m. – Caller reported a neighbor’s dog barking for the past two hours, 4600 block of Live Oak. Officer responded. Two dogs were in the backyard barking. No answer at the door. Officer left a business card on the door.

11:01 p.m. – Caller reported an air conditioner had been kicked out of a window, 900 block of long. Report taken.

June 22

9:18 a.m. – Caller reported tall grass, 41st and Long. Referred to code enforcement.

10:43 a.m. – Caller reported that she was receiving calls from an unknown source and wanted it to stop, 1500 block of Tamarack. Investigation continuing.

10:43 a.m. – Caller found a license, 1600 block of Long. Placed in found property.

11:38 a.m. – Caller reported that a male is constantly abusing a dog, 700 block of Oak Terrace. Officer checked on dogs. They appeared fine.

11:56 a.m. – Rondel Allen Adams, 26, arrested for misdemeanor driving while suspended, 621 Main St., Thriftway. Cited and released.

12:43 p.m. – Caller reported that a neighbor’s dog came into his yard and killed a chicken, 2200 block of Ironwood. Officer contacted the caller and the owner, who will handle the situation on their own.

12:57 p.m. – Caller reported a bike left in the 1700 block of 53rd. Bike placed in found property.

2:18 p.m. – Elbert Samuel Hackworth, 58, arrested on Sweet Home warrant for failure to appear on original charge of third-degree theft, 1950 Main St., Sweet Home Police Department. Cited and released.

6:27 p.m. – Travis Tobias Miller, 30, arrested on Santiam Correctional Institute warrant for delivery of heroin, 1635 9th Ave. Transported to Linn County Jail.

9:47 p.m. – Caller reported that a bicycle has been left at location for several days, 47th and Long. Placed in found property.

9:55 p.m. – Caller reported dogs were barking, 1800 block of Kalmia. Owner advised of complaint. Owner agreed to bring dogs inside.

10:47 p.m. – Caller reported a neighbor’s dogs were barking, 700 block of 8th. Dog was not barking upon officer arrival. Officer advised owner of complaint.

11:01 p.m. – Toddy Buddy James Waterman, 34, arrested on Sweet Home warrants for failure to appear on original charges of misdemeanor driving while suspended, failure to register as a sex offender and second-degree disorderly conduct, Salem. Cited and released.

11:12 p.m. – Jacob Daniel Graves, 17, cited for driving outside of restrictions, 18th and Main.

June 21

12:12 p.m. – Corey Alan Waterman, 36, arrested on Albany warrant for failure to appear on original charge of unauthorized entry into a motor vehicle, 1540 Main St., Safeway. Cited and released. Caller had reported that a male came into the store and stated he had a warrant and wanted officers notified.

12:56 p.m. – David Wayne Samson, 55, arrested on Linn County warrant for failure to comply on original charge of carrying a concealed weapon, 1200 block of 12th. Transported to Linn County Jail.

8:12 a.m. – Christopher Kirt Edward Kaufman, 25, arrested on Linn County warrants for failure to appear on original charges of reckless driving, three counts of recklessly endangering another person, third-degree assault, fourth-degree assault and strangulation; Benton County warrant for failure to appear on original charges of driving under the influence and reckless driving; and a new charge of third-degree escape, 1010 Main St. Transported to Linn County Jail.

8:19 a.m. – Caller reported a large black dog in the road, 18th and Grape. Officer unable to locate.

8:46 a.m. – Caller reported that a male and female stole two bags, which were lying behind the building, 1200 block of Long. Information noted.

9:07 a.m. – Caller reported he received a bad check, 3041 Main St., Hoy’s Hardware. Report taken.

9:44 a.m. – Caller reported tall grass and weeds, 300 block of 9th. Referred to code enforcement.

10:10 a.m. – Caller reported tall weeds and grass, 500 block of 14th. Referred to code enforcement.

10:32 a.m. – Caller reported tall grass, blocking a parking lot exit, 4800 block of Main. Referred to code enforcement.

10:57 a.m. – Caller found a cell phone, 3100 block of Main. Placed in found property.

10:58 a.m. – Jacob Mitchell Thurber, 25, arrested on Sweet Home warrant for failure to comply on original charge of third-degree theft, Linn County. Cited and released.

11:47 a.m. – Caller reported tall weeds and grass, 200 block of Nandina. Referred to code enforcement.

1:52 p.m. – Caller reported finding an abandoned bike, 5300 block of Poplar. Placed in found property.

2:20 p.m. – Julie Anne North, 38, cited and released for third-degree theft, 1530 Tamarack St., Mountain Shadows. The arrest was connected to a theft that occurred at Safeway, 1540 Main St., on June 17.

2:52 p.m. – Zachary Guy Richmond, 23, arrested on Linn County warrants for failure to appear on original charges of possession of meth, delivery of meth and probation violation, and Skylar James Samson, 27, arrested on Brownsville warrant for failure to appear and Linn County warrant for two counts of unauthorized departure, 1530 Main St., Santiam Drug. Both cited and released.

4:47 p.m. – Caller reported tall grass, 300 block of 18th. Referred to code enforcement.

5:01 p.m. – Caller reported an ongoing problem with a dog barking, and the dog had been barking constantly since early morning, 2900 block of Juniper. Officer contacted the owner, who would try to figure out a way to keep the dog quiet while the owner is not home.

7:15 p.m. – Caller was out for a walk when he came across a child who had been bitten by a dog, 1400 block of Meadowlark. Officer contacted a 17-year-old male who was bitten by a dog. The juvenile’s parent planned to contact the owner of the dog and take the juvenile for medical treatment.

June 20

12:47 a.m. – Andrea Joyce Ashby, 36, arrested on Lebanon warrant for failure to appear on original charge of unauthorized departure and contempt of court on original charge of probation violation, east of Taco Time. Cited and released.

6:12 a.m. – Caller reported a male asleep in the bottle return room, and he would not leave, 1540 Main St., Safeway. Officer contacted the store staff, who advised they did not wish to pursue charges but wanted the male reminded he was not welcome there. Officer advised male, who agreed to leave.

9:15 a.m. – Caller reported a neighbor was cutting down large trees, and the caller was concerned the debris would create traffic issues and fall into his yard, 1400 block of Evergreen. Officer contacted the neighbor, who appeared to be doing everything consistently with his permit. Caller advised of options regarding her concerns.

9:53 a.m. – Caller turned in a wallet found at B&B Auto Wrecking near Lebanon. Placed in found property.

9:55 a.m. – Caller reported that neighbors grabbed their own dogs and threw them, 1530 Tamarack St., Mountain Shadows. Officer contacted the owner, who denied the allegations. The dogs appeared to be uninjured.

10:53 a.m. – Caller reported tall grass, 2200 block of Long. Referred to code enforcement.

11:10 a.m. – Caller reported that someone stole her planter boxes and solar light, 900 block of Long. Information noted.

11:23 a.m. – Caller reported open storage, 1000 block of 13th. Referred to code enforcement.

2:06 p.m. – Caller reported a fir tree with dead branches was leaning toward the caller’s house, 600 block of 7th. Referred to code enforcement.

2:09 p.m. – Caller found two purses in the brush, 700 block of Long. Placed in found property. Police disposed of two syringes.

2:36 p.m. – Caller turned in a bag of syringes, 200 block of 7th. The Police Department was unable to seize the syringes for disposal because there were too many. Caller advised to take them to the fire department or hospice.

2:42 p.m. – A deputy contacted a woman who had been running in the area and cutting across yards, 44900 Quartzville Road. She was in a bikini with no shoes. Because of her odd behavior a neighbor said she was calling the police. The female thought she had a warrant so she took off running across yards, fields and berry bushes. A deputy located her under the Pleasant Valley Bridge. She appeared to be under the influence of methamphetamine. She did not currently have any warrants. She was warned for trespass.

2:55 p.m. – Jeremiah Luke Robles, 19, arrested on Sweet Home warrant for failure to comply on original charge of second-degree theft and Linn County warrant for failure to comply on original charge of second-degree theft, 1950 Main St., Sweet Home Police Department. Transported to Linn County Jail.

3:51 p.m. – Ariel Shanea Kaping, 23, arrested on Sweet Home warrant for failure to comply on original charge of theft of lost or mislaid property, 1950 Main St., Sweet Home Police Department. Cited and released.

5:04 p.m. – Caller reported that a vehicle had been sitting for more than two weeks, 1000 block of Nandina. Officer contacted the registered owner, who agreed to surrender the vehicle to a tow company. Posted for removal.

5:27 p.m. – Caller reported her infant child was locked in her car, 4500 block of Main. Tow company gained entry. Medics checked the child.

8:53 p.m. – Caller flagged down a police officer about a dog at large, 1400 block of Elm. Officer warned the owner.

10 a.m. – Caller found a license in the road, 2000 block of Main. Placed in found property.

June 19

8:20 a.m. – A caller reported a female in the roadway and cars having difficulty going around her, 2nd and Holley. Second caller reported a cat had been hit and she was able to move it to the side of the road. It was still alive and suffering. Officer responded. Female took the cat to a veterinarian.

8:49 a.m. – Caller reported a garbage smell coming from a property, tall grass in the backyard and clutter everywhere, 2400 block of Harding. Referred to code enforcement.

9:02 a.m. – Caller reported tall grass and weeds and blackberries were growing onto the caller’s property, 1200 block of Cessna. Referred to code enforcement. Code enforcement located tall grass on all but two properties.

10:03 a.m. – Caller reported that a neighbor built a fence on his property, 1000 block of Cedar. Referred to code enforcement.

10:05 a.m. – Caller reported someone living in an RV for more than two weeks, 1200 block of 54th. Referred to code enforcement.

10:06 a.m. – Caller reported neighbors burning trash in a barrel, 4000 block of Osage. Referred to code enforcement.

10:08 a.m. – Caller reported blackberries and bamboo growing through the fence, 1200 block of Clark Mill. Referred to code enforcement.

10:15 a.m. – Caller reported a sidewalk needs repair, 1500 block of Main. Referred to code enforcement.

10:21 a.m. – Caller reported a neighbor who parked a travel trailer in the public right-of-way for more than two weeks, 2200 block of Nandina. Officer contacted the owner, who would move it by the end of the day.

10:59 a.m. – Caller located a shop vac and turned it in to the Sweet Home Police Department, Mountain View and Elm. Placed in found property.

11:01 a.m. – Two callers reported persons living in a commercial building, 1200 block of Main. Referred to code enforcement.

1:57 p.m. – Ryan Joe Holley, 41, arrested on Sweet Home warrant for failure to comply on original charge of second-degree theft, Albany. Cited and released.

2:06 p.m. – Caller reported possible identity theft, 400 block of Nandina. Information noted. No transactions were made.

2:11 p.m. – Caller reported a dog was locked inside a horse trailer, 1200 block of Long. Officer contacted the owner and advised her of the complaint. The trailer was open enough that the dog should not be in distress.

3:05 p.m. – Caller reported that someone stole the garbage can full of cans and bottles and chained to his house, 4300 block of Long. Information noted.

3:19 p.m. – Caller reported that someone stole fuel during the morning, 800 block of Long. Information noted.

4:33 p.m. – Caller reported seeing a male throw paperwork into a drain on the street, 300 block of Holley. Caller brought in two Social Security cards. A second caller reported losing his wallet about two days ago. Officer contacted the owner of the wallet. Report taken for third-degree theft. Officer was able to find more items at location and released them to the owner.

4:44 p.m. – Caller reported vehicles blocking an alley, 2200 block of Nandina. Referred to code enforcement.

4:51 p.m. – Caller reported berry bushes growing into the roadway, 1300 block of 18th. Referred to code enforcement.

7 p.m. – Caller reported a dog was locked inside a hot car, 31st and Juniper. Officer contacted the owner and advised him of the complaint. The dog did not appear in distress. The owner advised he would leave shortly.

7:24 p.m. – Caller reported her neighbor’s dog constantly gets out and runs loose in the neighborhood, 400 block of 5th. Officer located the dog owner and warned them for dog at large.

9:17 p.m. – Caller reported a neighbor’s dog was loose and being aggressive, 700 block of 9th. Officer contacted the owner. The dogs were contained inside the residence when the officer arrived. Owner advised of the complaint.
