9:53 a.m. – Caller reported a male subject slumped over in a motorized scooter, 18th and Main. Officer responded. Male was sitting at location because he had nothing else to do. He moved on.
10:27 a.m. – Matthew Charles Nill, 31, arrested for third-degree theft, 15th and Nandina. Cited and released.
10:34 a.m. – Alexander Brian McGowan, 40, arrested on Benton County warrant for failure to appear, 691 Main St. Transported to Linn County Jail.
3:01 p.m. – Michael Wayne Shaw III, 23, arrested on Multnomah County warrant for failure to register as a sex offender and charged with providing false information to a police officer, 1540 Main St., Safeway. Transported to Linn County Jail.

11:18 a.m. – Caller turned in keys and sunglasses he located on top of his mailbox, 1300 block of Hawthorne. Property seized and placed in found property.

5:44 p.m. – A male in the 900 block of Nandina said another man asked him to call the police for him for an unknown reason. Officer contacted a very intoxicated male who was worried he was going to drive a van and wanted a ride home. A female subject took the keys, and the male would sleep in the vehicle during the night. The female subject turned in drug-related items that she found. Seized for destruction.

1:51 p.m. – Tristan Levi Lawdermilt, 14, taken into custody for second-degree criminal mischief, Sankey Park. Referred to Juvenile Department and released to mother. Caller had reported juveniles breaking glass into the water below the bridge.
4:57 p.m. – Caller reported people walking near his property to camp at the river, 1300 block of 43rd. Officer located a camp but no people. Officer would continue to patrol, and if any subjects were located, he would deal with the issue.
5:13 p.m. – Caller reported a homeless camp across the field from Cascade Timber Consulting. Officer located two empty tents and would be on the lookout.

9:30 p.m. – Darrell Paul Vasquez, 55, arrested for second-degree criminal mischief, 300 W. Holley Road, Stonebrook Apartments. Cited and released. Caller reported that a neighbor smeared dog feces on his Jeep.

4:04 p.m. – Angela Dianne McDonald, 36, cited for no license, driving without insurance and dangerous left turn, 12th and Nandina. Vehicle impounded.
4:42 p.m. – Caller reported possible cardiac arrest, Evergreen and West Pine. Police conducted a death investigation.

7:37 p.m. – Caller reported that a woman was injured in a boating accident, 43700 block of North River, Gedney Creek Boat Ramp. A woman was cut by the propeller. The victim was wake boarding with her family. The boat operator thought the boat was in neutral when it was actually in reverse. The victim went to Samaritan Regional Medical Center in Corvallis with two non-life-threatening cuts on her leg. No sign of alcohol with victim or boat operator. No citations.
July 19
6:50 a.m. – Caller reported a vehicle in the ditch, 1000 block of North River. A friend removed the vehicle. No injuries. No citations.
12:11 p.m. – Caller reported seeing someone in a pickup dumping garbage in the pull-outs on North River Drive. They are on both sides of Gedney Creek. Investigation continuing.
1:30 p.m. – Caller reported finding trash dumped at McDowell Creek Park. Deputy cleaned it up.
5:11 p.m. – Illegal campsite located, 47400 block of Quartzville.
7;55 p.m. – Caller reported that the caller’s dog was attacked, 55000 block of Quartzville. Both dogs were off a leash at a swimming hole and got into a fight. Both owners were warned.
