Police Department. Dog placed in kennel.

a.m. – Caller reported the theft of a bike and three airsoft guns,

1100 block of 23rd. Report taken.

a.m. – Caller reported subjects who threatened him when he told them

to stop lighting fireworks in the road, 14th and Elm. Officer unable

to locate fireworks in the area.

12:58

a.m. – Caller reported a vehicle doing doughnuts in the middle of the

intersection, and it may have hit another vehicle, 800 block of Long.

Officer responded and saw skid marks in the intersection but unable

to locate any damage in the area.

a.m. – Caller reported illegal mortar-style fireworks, 4200 block of

Main. Officer located debris but nobody around.

p.m. – Ervin Larry Smith, 61, cited for use of a mobile

communications while driving and driving uninsured, 18th and

Tamarack.

p.m. – Caller found a dog on the street and brought it to the Police

Department, 1950 Main St. Dog seized for pickup by Linn County Dog

Control.

p.m. – Caller reported two dogs in red Dodge with the windows barely

down, 6305 Main St., The Point Restaurant. Officer responded. Dogs

never in danger. Parked in shade with windows down sufficiently.

p.m. – James Patrick Bell, 18, arrested for furnishing alcohol to

minors, 775 Long St. Cited and released.

9:39

p.m. – Ryan Joseph Adams, 18, arrested for furnishing alcohol to

minors, 410 18th Ave. Cited and released.

9:45

p.m. – Caller reported subjects using bottle rockets, 2400 block of

Long. Officer contacted people who stated they were legal. Officer

advised them of the law and not to do it any more.

10:17

p.m. – Caller reported people using fireworks, 1700 block of Grape.

Contacted people doing legal fireworks. One malfunctioned and shot up

higher than normal.

10:55

p.m. – Julia Rose Triestch, 28, arrested on state warrant for parole

violation and Lebanon warrant for contempt of court on original

charge of possession of marijuana, 12th and Nandina. Transported to

Linn County Jail.

a.m. – Caller turned in a stray dog, 1950 Main St., Sweet Home Police

Department. Placed in kennel. Dog control advised.

a.m. – Caller reported a hit and run that occurred on June 27, 400

block of Osage. Report taken.

p.m. – Two callers reported a hit and run, 1000 block of Long. Report

taken.

p.m. – Caller reported gravel coming up from the floor in her garage,

1400 block of Meadowlark. Officer responded. The caller had a gravel

mixture coming from the inside of her garage, possibly from an animal

burrowing. Caller will need to move some things out of her garage to

find the source.

p.m. – Bryant Eugene Darby, 25, cited for failure to renew

registration, Main and 18th.

p.m. – Brandon Lee Basham, 22, arrested for hit and run and reckless

driving, 1950 Main St., Sweet Home Police Department.

p.m. – Devina Marie Oden, 62, arrested for driving under the

influence and cited for failure to maintain lane and failure to obey

traffic control device, eastbound from 1600 block of Long. Cited and

released.

p.m. – Caller reported subject lighting bottle rockets, Cascadia

Village, 23rd Avenue. Officer located juveniles with sparklers and no

illegal fireworks.

9:11

p.m. – Caller reported neighbors using illegal mortar-style

fireworks, 2400 block of Harding. Officer contacted subjects who

denied using any illegal fireworks.

p.m. – Caller reported illegal fireworks, 43rd off Main. Officer

contacted subject, who was advised of the law.

p.m. – Caller reported illegal fireworks, Third Avenue above Poplar.

Officer contacted a group, who denied involvement and pointed to a

vacant residence. Unable to locate any illegal fireworks.

p.m. – Caller reported a neighbor yelling and cursing at him for

using legal fireworks, 700 block of Alder. Officer responded. Male

was very intoxicated and said he would head back home.

p.m. – Caller reported illegal fireworks, 1200 block of Nandina.

Officer unable to locate illegal fireworks.

p.m. – Caller reported illegal fireworks, near Live Oak. Officer

unable to locate illegal fireworks.

p.m. – Caller reported illegal fireworks and a shotgun being fired,

1600 block of 56th. Officer unable to locate reported activity.

p.m. – Caller reported subjects lighting illegal fireworks behind her

house, but they quit when she yelled at them, 700 block of Sixth.

Officer contacted a few in the area. The group was packing up for the

night.

cited for minor in possession of alcohol, 1295 41st Ave.

a.m. – Daniel Joseph Browand, 21, arrested for possession of meth and

Linn County warrant for failure to appear on original charge of

possession of meth, 15th and Main. Transported to Linn County Jail.

a.m. – Daniel Lee Kellum, 39, arrested on Lebanon warrant for

contempt of court on original charge of third-degree theft, 1950 Main

St., Sweet Home Police Department. Cited and released.

9:53

a.m. – Caller reported that donated items are being stolen, 3031 Main

St., Sweet Home Gleaners. Report taken.

4:40

p.m. – Rafael Guttierez, 48, arrested for second-degree criminal

trespass, 621 Main St., Thriftway. Cited and released.

p.m. – Caller reported a male driving on the grass, Shea Point.

Officer responded, located male and counseled him.

p.m. – Robert Carl Neal, 65, cited for driving while suspended,

driving uninsured and failure to carry proof of insurance, 2000 block

of Main.

p.m. – Caller reported hearing two gunshots, 46th and Airport.

Officer heard fireworks in the area. Patrolled on foot. Unable to

locate fireworks or gunfire.

p.m. – Edward Ashley Carver, 33, cited for driving uninsured, Main

and 22nd.

p.m. – Callers reported illegal fireworks, 43rd and Long. Officer

unable to locate.

p.m. – Caller reported a male and female “higher than a kite”

smoking marijuana in public, 49th and Mimosa. Officer unable to

locate.

during the night, moving a tarp and taking a box containing a new

unassembled work bench, 1300 block of 13th. Report taken.

a.m. – Dallas Andrew Samson, 32, arrested for possession of meth,

behind Twin Oaks. Cited and released. Caller reported hearing a male

and female fighting behind the location.

p.m. – Caller reported finding a gift card in the grass, 2200 block

of Main. Seized as found property.

Drivers exchanged information. No injuries. No citations.

p.m. – Caller reported that a male damaged the door on her father’s

truck, 900 block of Nandina. Report taken. Damage estimated at $90.

her name without her permission, 1530 Tamarack St., Mountain Shadows.

a.m. – Nicholas Steven Ware, 24, arrested on Linn County warrant for

probation violation on original charge of possession of heroin and

Linn County warrant for probation violation on original charge of

menacing, 1610 Elm St. Transported to Linn County Jail.

a.m. – Caller reported property stolen from his boat, 400 block of

Seventh. Loss valued at $70.

11:42

a.m. – Caller reported couches and chairs piled in trailer, 1200

block of Nandina. Referred to code enforcement.

11:43

a.m. – Caller reported trash dumped in her container, 2450 Main St.

Report taken.

12:57

p.m. – Caller reported a white motor home pulling a red Geo Tracker

passing work crews, 5 miles east of Sweet Home. The tracker was

driving on the right front rim, damaging the highway. Officer

contacted driver, who exchanged information with the Oregon

Department of Transportation. State police advised.

p.m. – Abandoned vehicle impounded, end of Willow Street.

p.m. – Caller reported tall grass and berry briars, 1800 block of

18th. Referred to code enforcement.

p.m. – Caller reported tall grass, 4800 block of 48th. Referred to

code enforcement.

p.m. – Caller reported the foul smell of garbage from a residence,

600 block of Third. Referred to code enforcement.

p.m. – Caller reported that someone entered her unlocked vehicle

while she was gone, zero block of Nandina. Report taken.

p.m. – Caller reported that someone broke the telephone pedestal at

the park, 12th and Nandina. Wires didn’t appear broken. CenturyLink

advised.

p.m. – Caller reported that subjects threw garbage in the parking lot

and screamed profanities at her when she confronted them, 2000 block

p.m. – Officer located a cell phone at the park, 12th and Nandina.

Seized as found property.

8:32

p.m. – Caller reported a customer’s Lottery money stolen by another

customer, 4219 Main St., Ma’s Restaurant. Officer responded. The

person whose money was taken did not wish to pursue charges and just

wanted subject counseled and information noted. Suspect trespassed

from location.

p.m. – Caller reported his mother’s car stolen, 4400 block of

Airport. Report taken.

9:12

p.m. – Rondel Allen Adams, 24, arrested for misdemeanor driving while

suspended, 13th and Nandina. Cited and released.

10:33

p.m. – Juvenile referred to Linn County Juvenile Department for

curfew violation, 1101 13th Ave., Sweet Home Public Library. Caller

had reported a large group hanging out in front of the library. The

subjects appeared under the influence and were making a lot of noise.

The adults were told to move on.

p.m. – Caller reported several people using illegal fireworks, 43rd

and Osage. Officer unable to locate.

p.m. – Two callers reported fireworks in the air behind Hawthorne

School, 3200 block of Long.

Loss valued at $200.

a.m. – Tanner Lee Lester, 24, turned in himself on a Sweet Home

warrant for second-degree theft, 1950 Main St., Sweet Home Police

Department.

10:01

a.m. – Caller reported the garden shed behind the gym was tagged

during the night, 890 18th Ave., Sweet Home Boys and Girls Club.

Report taken. Loss valued at $100. Damage also located on portable

toilets at Sweet Home High School.

a.m. – Elmer Dale Fry, 79, cited for failure to yield to pedestrian

in a crosswalk, Kalmia off 18th.

a.m. – Gilbert Joseph Harris, 67, cited for failure to yield to a

pedestrian in a crosswalk, 1900 block of Main.

11:18

a.m. – A caller said his son was bitten by a friend’s pitbull while

they were camping. He took him to the Geary Street Clinic in Albany.

a.m. – Cody Jon Coffman, 24, cited for failure to yield to a

pedestrian in a crosswalk, 23rd and Main.

a.m. – A man and woman were fighting in the 40000 block of McDowell

Creek Dr. The woman was breaking windows and there were children at

the location.

p.m. – Kaylynn Marie Miller, 17, cited for failure to yield to a

pedestrian in a crosswalk, Wise Auto.

p.m. – A caller said her son lost his cell phone while he was

swimming at Foster Lake. The phone was recovered and returned.

p.m. – Caller reported the theft of medication, 5050 Mountain Fir,

Wiley Creek Community. Report taken.

p.m. – Caller reported the theft of a backpack, Sweet Home Public

Library. Report taken.

p.m. – Caller reported a dog in a vehicle with the windows rolled up,

1540 Main St., Safeway. Officer responded. Engine was running, and

air conditioning was on.

p.m. – A woman who called from Sweet Home Police Department said she

was sexually assaulted two years ago.

p.m. – Caller reported that someone cut up her rhododendron with a

box knife, 1200 block of Nandina. Information noted.

p.m. – Caller reported three small children left in a vehicle while a

female went into the store, 2405 Main St., Circle K. Officer unable

to locate. Gone on arrival.

p.m. – Caller reported a male subject filling a basket with meat and

leaving the store without paying, 1540 Main St., Safeway. Subject

left in a tan Ford F150 or F250. Report taken. Loss valued at

approximately $60.

p.m. A caller reported a break in at Tall-Fir Nursery sometime

Saturday evening.

4:20

p.m. – Caller reported dogs left in a vehicle, but the windows

weren’t down enough, 1540 Main St., Safeway. Dog was in early

stages of overheating. Owner warned for neglect.

p.m. – Caller reported a possible break-in, 830 18th Ave. Report

taken. Loss valued at $2,900.

p.m. – Caller reported tall grass, 1400 block of Nandina. Referred to

code enforcement.

p.m. – Caller reported tall weeds, 300 block of Taylor Creek Drive.

p.m. – Kathrin Pauleen Bly, 44, arrested on Linn County supervisory

warrant for contempt of court and failure to appear (owes 20 days in

jail) and Lebanon warrant for contempt of court and driving while

suspended, back parking lot at Downtown Lounge, 1234 Main St.

Transported to Linn County Jail.

p.m. – Caller reported that someone siphoned fuel from her son’s

truck, 1000 block of 13th. Report taken. Loss valued at $25.

7:52

p.m. A passerby said a person with possible heat exhaustion was

walking alongside the roadway in the 45300 block of Santiam Hwy.

10:07

p.m. – Caller reported neighbors using illegal fireworks, and the

residue was landing on the caller’s house and yard, 1300 block of

40th. Officer parked and walked in. Unable to locate anyone out and

about or any fireworks.

a.m. – Caller reported four mountain bikes stolen from the 45900

block of Highway 20. Five were taken, but one was found. A park

ranger is looking for the others.

9:07

a.m. – Caller reported that the front license plate was taken off a

vehicle in the 41900 block of North River Dr. The rear plate was not

taken.

11:42

a.m. – Caller reported an ice cooler with a set of keys in it was

taken from the 44400 block of North River Dr. The caller thinks a man

on a bike in the area may have taken it.

12:14

p.m. – A 6-year-old boy was bitten in the face and head by a pitbull

mix dog at a camping area in the 64400 block of Big Lake Camp Rd. The

dog belonged to a family friend. No citations issued. The victim was

taken to St. Charles Hospital in Bend.

a.m. – Caller reported that someone broke into a vehicle, 29200 block

of Fairview.

2:26

p.m. – Caller reported two males fighting, 40100 block of Highway

228.

3:50

p.m. – Deputy assisted the driver of a pickup truck towing a boat,

40800 block of Hwy 228. The right trailer tire blew out and left the

majority of the tire in the eastbound lane of travel.

8:25

p.m. – Caller reported that a white dog with a pitbull face killed

all of her chickens. The dog was locked up in the chicken coop. The

dog belonged to a neighbor. They worked it out, and no citations were

issued.

4:19

p.m. – Brian Bertolotti, 32, arrested for driving under the

influence, failure to perform duties of a driver and reckless

driving. Caller had reported an older small pickup crashing into a

fence in the 26600 block of Old Holley Rd. The caller said the driver

left on foot.

9:02

p.m. – A resident in the 48800 block of Santiam Hwy wanted to speak

to a deputy about his neighbors turning off his water. This is an

ongoing dispute about water rights.

1:10

p.m. – Caller reported a man in a vehicle racing around a property in

the 28100 block of Scott Mtn. Rd. He was yelling and screaming. The

caller believed the man may have been on something.

1:23

p.m. – Sweet Home medics responded to a fall on a hiking trail up

Iron Mountain trailhead.

4:59

p.m. – A driver crashed into someone’s yard, 42500 block of North

River drive. The driver was looking at something across the street

and overcorrected, which caused the crash. No citations.

11:05

p.m. – Caller reported numerous pieces of broken concrete in the

roadway between the two bridges, 40800 block of McDowell Creek Rd.

a.m. – Caller reported that a male threatened to beat up or kill a

female, 27000 block of High Deck.

a.m. – Caller reported that someone killed one of his cows on June

20.

a.m. – A camper reported a stainless barbecue taken from their

campsite at Sunnyside Park.
