12:15 p.m. – Caller reported a dog had been barking since 7 a.m., something that happens every day, 1400 block of Sunset. Office contacted the owner of the dog, who put the dog back inside the residence.
1:57 p.m. – Eugene James May, 42, arrested on Benton County warrant for failure to appear on original charge of third-degree theft, second-degree criminal trespass and a citation, 18th and Willow. Cited and released.
June 12
8:06 a.m. – Caller reported a large rottweiler running loose, near Water Treatment Plant, 47th Avenue. Officer located dog and owner, who had allowed the dog off the leash. It charged workers at the location. Owner wanted him trespassed from area property.
3:33 p.m. – James Robert Warrington, 37, cited and released in the field for second-degree criminal trespass, 2405 Main St., Circle K.
6:19 p.m. – Caller reported two bull dogs running loose, 12th and Poplar. Officer unable to locate.
7:57 p.m. – Caller reported a vehicle sitting for a week, 17th and Fir. It appeared abandoned. Officer contacted owner, who planned to move the vehicle.
7:57 p.m. – Ian Christopher Richards, 34, arrested on Multnomah County warrant for failure to appear on original charges of second-degree theft and third-degree theft, 1821 Fir St. Transported to Linn County Jail.
8:21 p.m. – Caller reported that a 13-year-old female punched her son in the ear, 4600 block of Main. Report taken. Report to be forwarded to the district attorney.
June 11
10:28 a.m. – Caller reported mailboxes in the area have been opened and were empty, 1400 block of Tamarack. Officer responded. Information noted. Unknown if anything was taken.
12:17 p.m. – Jake James Sorrell, 19, arrested for first-degree forgery, identity theft and theft by deception, 150 West Holley Road. Transported to Linn County Jail.
1 p.m. – Caller reported his vehicle was hit while parked at Bi-Mart, 1980 Main St. Information noted.
4:34 p.m. – Caller reported his wallet was stolen two days earlier, 1600 block of Main. Report taken.
6:33 p.m. – Caller reported her soon-to-be ex-husband and his girlfriend are contacting her via text and voicemail, 4600 block of Main. Report taken. Investigation continuing.
7:40 p.m. – Caller reported that an adult male took photos of her children, 300 West Holley Road, Stonebrook Apartments. Officer responded. The male took photos of the children in regard to their behavior, which he sent by email to management.

9:32 a.m. – Caller reported homeless males hanging out on the steps of the Public Library smoking, and they won’t move to let patrons in. Officer contacted a male who was waiting for the library to open. He denied blocking the steps and moved along.
10:09 a.m. – Caller reported that someone stole flowers from her planters, 1100 block of Long. Information noted.
10:16 a.m. – Blake Andrew Martin, 22, arrested on Sweet Home warrant for failure to appear on original charge of misdemeanor driving while suspended, 1950 Main St., Sweet Home Police Department. Cited and released.

10:02 a.m. – Hunter Areil Ringheimer, 22, arrested on Lebanon warrant for failure to appear on original charge of minor in possession and Sweet Home warrant for failure to appear on original charge of minor in possession of alcohol, Long and 15th. Transported to Linn County Jail.
10:37 a.m. – Caller reported a juvenile firing an airsoft gun at vehicles as they pass by, 1641 Long St., Sweet Home High School. Officer warned juvenile for violating city ordinance.
11:34 a.m. – Caller reported that a male was having his friends call and harass her, 1200 block of 44th. She would like them to stop. Officer contacted the male subject, trespassed him from the caller’s residence and warned him for tele-phonic harassment.
2:51 – Caller reported a male walking in the area and looking for cans and bottles, 500 block of Nandina. Officer contacted a male with a large bag of cans. Officer advised the male of the complaint, and the male agreed to stay out of the neighborhood.

4:36 p.m. – Caller reported two young children riding bicycles on sidewalk without supervision, First and Highway 228. Officer contacted the two children, who escaped from a side door looking for an older brother. Both were returned home.
5:09 p.m. – Caller reported that a parent threatened a teacher and stormed out of the building, 1641 Long St., Sweet Home High School. Officer responded. Male made a physical threat, and the caller wanted him contacted and counseled.
5:34 p.m. – Caller reported a male going door to door trying to sell Dish Network. Officer contacted the male, who was advised to get a peddler’s license. The male said he would get one the following day.
6:32 p.m. – Linn County Sheriff’s Office reported a female called and wanted to speak with a deputy, 6100 block of Main. While on the phone with the deputy, she said she was going to kill herself. Sweet Home police officer responded. Female transported to Samaritan Albany General Hospital for evaluation. Her dogs were placed in kennel.
8:11 p.m. – Caller reported three dogs running into the traffic, 4100 block of Main. Officer responded. A female came to the location to return the dogs to residence.
8:15 p.m. – Steven Andrew Williamson, 47, arrested on Sweet Home warrant for failure to appear on original charge of third-degree theft, Linn County. Cited and released.
8:29 p.m. – Medics transported a female to Samaritan Lebanon Community Hospital for possible heroin overdose, 13th and Nandina.
8:44 p.m. – Callers reported a female running in the median, 1300 block of Main. She appeared to be intoxicated, according to the callers. Officer contacted the female, who said she was looking for her two children, who were returning from a fishing trip. She was warned to stay out of traffic.
9:25 p.m. – James David Stedman, 60, arrested on Sweet Home warrant for failure to comply on original charge of driving under the influence, Independence. Cited and released.
10:57 p.m. – Jay John Albert Baker Jr., 19, cited for driving while suspended and driving uninsured.
June 7
1:26 a.m. – Carol Lee Tucker, 47, cited and released in field on Linn County Justice Court Warrant for contempt of court.
6:38 a.m. – Caller reported a vehicle blocking traffic in the intersection, 22nd and Long. Officer responded. Tow truck on scene. Vehicle removed from the roadway.
7:51 a.m. – Officer placed two stray dogs in kennel, 41st and Long.
8:07 a.m. – Caller reported a male sleeping in a parking lot, 3031 Main St., Sweet Home Gleaners. A no camping sign is posted there. Officer contacted an intoxicated male, who would stay until he sobered up and could move along.
8:16 a.m. – Kyle Matthew Rains, 29, arrested for unauthorized use of a motor vehicle, possession of meth and distribution of meth, 1283 44th Ave. Transported to Linn County Jail. Caller had reported a male drove his stolen motorcycle to a neighbor’s house and then left on foot.
9:16 a.m. – Caller reported a dog running loose, Long and 38th. Officer checked area. Unable to locate.
10:35 a.m. – Caller reported a theft, 3041 Main St., Hoy’s Hardware. Report taken. Loss valued at $67.
12:55 p.m. – Caller reported receiving checks from a frozen bank account, 621 Main St., Thriftway. Investigation continuing.
1:45 p.m. – Willard Wayne Wood, 37, arrested for harassment and second-degree criminal trespass, 1283 44th Ave.
2:10 p.m. – Michael Leroy Mager, 65, arrested on Linn County warrant for failure to appear on original charge of failure to perform the duties of a driver and failure to appear on original charge of frequenting a place where a controlled substance is used, 1950 Main St., Sweet Home Police Department. Cited and released due to jail overcrowding.
2:36 p.m. – Caller reported a juvenile riding a bicycle without a helmet, 605 Elm St., Oak Heights Elementary School. Officer contacted juvenile and grandparents. He does have a helmet and will start using it.
3:06 p.m. – Caller reported that a male subject hit her in the back of her head, 1300 block of Second. Report taken. Injury not consistent with report. Forwarded to city attorney for review.
4:19 p.m. – Multiple callers reported gunshots in the area, north end of 18th Avenue. Officer responded. A male on the north side of the river, outside the city limits, was shooting but had stopped.
5:43 p.m. – James Robert Warrington, 37, cited for possession of alcohol in a public place, 1762 Main St., Goodwill.
7:14 p.m. – Paul Allen Conklin, 26, arrested on state warrant for parole violation on original charge of larceny and Lebanon warrant for failure to comply on original charges of second-degree theft and probation violation, 2295 Main St., Mobile gas station. Transported to Linn County Jail.
8:03 p.m. – Caller reported that his elderly mother’s purse was taken out of vehicle during the farmer’s market, 621 Main St., Thriftway. Vehicle was unsecured. Report taken.
8:50 p.m. – Caller reported her neighbor’s dog chased her dog, 1300 block of Tamarack. Officer contacted and counseled the owner of the dog.
9:39 p.m. – Caller reported her daughter witnessed a male peeking through a bedroom window, 4400 block of Live Oak. Officer unable to locate. Nothing appeared to be disturbed in the backyard.
10:37 p.m. – Caller reported that a male and female tried to hit her with a vehicle in the parking lot, 2405 Main St., Circle K. Second caller reported a female slapping her vehicle and calling her names. Officer responded. No crime. Information noted.
10:48 p.m. – Caller reported a male calling from a disconnected cell phone, breathing into the phone and then hanging up, 900 block of Birch. Officer contacted resident, who was not the one making the calls. No one could figure out where the calls were coming from.
11:07 p.m. – Caller reported that someone broke his fence, 1300 block of Nandina. Report taken.
June 6
2:15 a.m. – Caller went to the lobby of the Sweet Home Police Department after being bitten by a spider, 1950 Main St. Officers responded. Medics also responded and checked out the male. Everything was fine.
12:39 p.m. – Michelle Kimberly Ray, 25, cited and released in field on Lebanon warrant for contempt of court on original charge of misdemeanor driving while suspended, 1200 block of Main.
7:50 a.m. – Caller said a male on a bike was going through mail boxes, 43000 block of North River. Deputies caught up with the person, and he said he was not going through mailboxes but picking up cans in the ditches. He had two large bags on a trailer with him. No one had reported mail stolen as of June 9. No further action.
8:47 a.m. – Caller reported a theft, 1203 Long St., All Star Pizza. Information noted.
9:12 a.m. – Samuel Paul Whitehead, 25, arrested on Washington County warrant for first-degree criminal mistreatment and third-degree assault, 395 Holley Road. Transported to Linn County Jail.
9:22 a.m. – Caller reported that a dog tried to attack her dogs while walking, 1300 block of Tamarack. Officer counseled owner of dog.
12:40 p.m. – Caller reported a vehicle speeding down the road, 1000 block of 14th. Officer checked area. Unable to locate. Referred to code enforcement officer to place radar trailer in the area.
3:33 p.m. – Forrest Raymond Burke, 32, cited for failure to renew vehicle registration, Main and Ninth.
3:47 p.m. – Lisa Rochelle Anthony, 47, cited for using a cell phone while driving, 1500 block of Main.
3:58 p.m. – Mark Dean Armstrong, 59, cited for failure to renew registration, 2500 block of Main.
9:56 p.m. – Steven Scott Sims, 33, arrested on Sweet Home warrant for failure to appear on original charge of third-degree theft, Albany. Cited and released.
10:33 p.m. – Caller reported that someone entered her residence and took her dog, 1530 Tamarack St., Mountain Shadows. Report taken. Dog returned home.
June 5
5:17 a.m. – A horse and cow were loose in the 29800 block of Fairview Rd.
6:18 a.m. – Caller was walking his dog and noticed someone had broken the entrance booth at Lewis Creek Park. This was old damage and there was no burglary.
8:18 a.m. – There was a camp trailer on the side of the roadway, 43200 block of Marks Ridge Rd. There was no vehicle nearby. The trailer was tagged as abandoned for removal after failed attempts to locate an owner.
1:59 p.m. – Two mini goats with bells were on the caller’s property, 26900 block of Old Holley Rd. The goats were retrieved by the owners on June 7.
2:05 p.m. – A woman hurt her ankle and was unable to walk on her own, at the Blue Pool at Tamolitch Falls. Members of Linn and Lane county search and rescue teams and Eugene Mountain Rescue hiked in an carried her out to be transported to the hospital for treatment.
3:20 p.m. – Caller reported a vehicle parked on the street for three days, 17th and Elm. Officer contacted neighbors, who said the vehicle has been parked in different places in the neighborhood. Officer would check on the vehicle next shift and post for removal if it was still there.
4:31 p.m. – Cory Michael Langford, 21, cited for speeding, 61 in a 45, Main and 49th.
7:01 p.m. – Caller reported that a male was wearing his backpack and clothes, which were recently stolen, 2000 block of Main. Officer responded. Caller got back some of his property. The male brought more of the caller’s property to the Sweet Home Police Department later. The property also was returned to the caller.
9:14 p.m. – Christopher Thomas Meredith, 28, arrested on Linn County warrant for probation violation on original charge of unauthorized use of a motor vehicle, and Hailee Jo Smith-Daggett, 23, arrested on Lebanon warrant for probation violation; contempt of court; and failure to appear on a criminal citation. Cited and released.
10:30 p.m. – Caller reported that someone was under the bridge with a campfire, Wiley Creek Bridge. Officer contacted a male who had a campfire. He extinguished it and moved along.
11:08 p.m. – Caller reported a motor vehicle collision, 900 block of Seventh. Report taken. Driver transported to Samaritan Lebanon Community Hospital. Vehicle towed. No citations.
June 4
9:11 p.m. – Caller said her car window was broken while she was parked along Quartzville just after the first bridge. Change from the center console was taken. Report taken.
10:40 p.m. – Caller found some alcohol in her juvenile daughter’s purse and wanted to speak to a deputy. The deputy discussed parenting options and what they have the right to do and not do. No further action taken.
June 3
8:29 a.m. – A horse in a field had hoof and foundering issues, 38700 block of Highway 228. A deputy contacted the owner, who has plans to get the horse treatment. The owner is having a difficult time catching the horse. He discussed plans to catch it so it can be cared for within the week. Report taken.
9:31 a.m. – Caller reported someone stole two fishing poles from the caller’s truck, Sunnyside Park. The caller was camping at the location and theft occurred sometime overnight. Report taken.
3:34 p.m. – A tackle box that contained a fishing license were taken while the caller was camping at Sunnyside Park.
June 2
5:30 a.m. – Caller said her husband’s vehicle was stolen, in the 41800 block of North River. It was still registered in California but there were no plates on the vehicle. She said her husband owns a scrapping business so the vehicle was not registered to him. This vehicle was determined not to be stolen. The owner had no proof of ownership. No crime at this time.
7:42 p.m. – Caller found a green mountain bike stuffed in the bushes while he was fishing, 42700 block of North River Dr. Report was taken.
June 1
4:05 p.m. – Caller said a female called saying she had a warrant from the IRS and demanded $500 in iTunes cards to stop the warrant. The caller sent $100 before they realized this might not be legitimate. Linn County Sheriff’s Office reminded the public that no one from any government agency, or any other business, will ever legitimately call you for a warrant, demanding payment over the phone, especially in the form of gift cards.
