11:24 a.m. – Caller reported a neighbor’s dog barking continually, 700 block of 8th. Owners advised of complaint. Owners said they have been trying to keep the dogs quiet.
12:32 p.m. – Caller reported that dogs ran and growled at her and chased a cat, 1300 block of Sunset. Owner advised of complaint.
1:04 p.m. – Caller located a wallet in the middle of the roadway, Highway 20 in the Narrows. Placed in found property.
3:36 p.m. – Caller reported a neighbor is yelling and video taping her and her family, 1200 block of Nandina. A neighbor also dented the caller’s vehicle with a lawn mower. Report taken for criminal mischief.
4:38 p.m. – Caller reported that a vehicle hit his mailbox after being pulled over by Oregon State Police, 400 block of Holley. Information noted. Caller wanted to make sure the driver was OK. OSP advised.
8:39 p.m. – Charles Anthony Johnson, 43, cited for driving while suspended, 848 14th Ave.
9:10 p.m. – Caller reported a male and female spotlighting on Green River Road. Officer responded and watching out for the suspect vehicle.
June 10
9:08 a.m. – Caller reported her son’s bicycle stolen during the night, 1300 block of Sunset. Information noted.
2:43 p.m. – A deputy spoke with the parents of a 13-year-old male, who was celebrating his birthday, about reports of shooting, 43000 block of Marks Ridge. The family members were enjoying their time by shooting. They had a safe back stop and planned to clean up their casings and targets when they left. The deputy contacted the caller and updated him with the information. The caller said he was glad to know the people were shooting safely. He said he’s had recent problems with someone shooting on Cascade Timber Consulting property behind his house, and he was not sure if they were the same people. No further action.
2:58 p.m. – Caller reported a dog running loose, 1500 block of 40th. The dog belonged to another caller who had reported a female took his pit bull and wouldn’t give it back to him. Returned to owner.
9:20 p.m. – Jeremy Lee Ferebee, 38, arrested on Lebanon warrant for third-degree theft and Sweet Home warrant for failure to appear on original charge of third-degree theft, 1200 12th Ave., Chewy’s. Cited and released.
9:36 p.m. – Caller reported finding a loose dog, Main and Pleasant Valley. Dispatch contacted the owner. The caller released the dog to the owner.
9:43 p.m. – Caller reported barking dogs, 200 block of Osage. Officer responded. It didn’t appear anyone was inside the residence. Building was secure. Officer left a business card.
10:49 p.m. – Angela Diane May, 30, cited and released in field on Lebanon warrant for contempt of court on original charges of second-degree theft and probation violation and cited for driving while suspended, 1200 block of 46th.
11:16 p.m. – Bobby Raymond Helms Jr., 31, arrested on Linn County warrants for failure to appear on original charges of driving while suspended, failure to carry proof of insurance, two counts of misdemeanor driving while suspended and a criminal citation, 4655 Mahogany Lane. Transported to Linn County Jail. Linn County Sheriff’s Office dispatched two K-9 units, and one located the suspect hiding in blackberry bushes.
June 9
8:19 a.m. – Frank Archie Thompson II, 43, arrested on Sweet Home warrant for failure to appear on original charge of second-degree disorderly conduct, 1950 Main St., Sweet Home Police Department.
8:31 a.m. – Officer picked up and disposed of several notebooks a caller reported were thrown into her trash can during the night, 1300 block of 13th.
9:26 a.m. – Caller reported a dog running loose, 1400 block of Elm. Officer picked up the dog. Dog returned to owner.
10:58 a.m. – Caller reported a bicycle stolen, 1540 Main St., Safeway. Information noted.
11:10 a.m. – Caller reported that a neighbor tied a pit bull to the sewer line of her trailer, and then the sewer line was ripped out, 5300 block of Main. Officer contacted both parties. The dog was a stray. The neighbors said they would try to work it out.
11:10 a.m. – Caller reported children on motor scooters were riding in the roadway, 46th and Airport. Caller was concerned they might be hit. He tried to talk to the children, but they ignored him. Officer contacted three juveniles and a responsible adult. The adult misunderstood and believed they could ride on the street. The adult planned to look for better options.
11:49 a.m. – Caller reported a bicycle missing a tire just west of the fountain in Clover Memorial Park. The tire was possibly in the shrubs. The officer located the bike locked to a post. The officer put the tire back with the bike and planned to check on it later in the weekend to see if the owner retrieved the bike.
12:05 p.m. – Caller reported a clock stolen, 1400 block of 60th. Information noted.
1:47 p.m. – Bradley Glenn Leninger, 17, and Lane Alan Barstad, 15, cited for failure to wear seatbelts, 2200 block of Main.
2:03 p.m. – Caller reported a stepdaughter using his credit card and charging some $4,000 so far, Sweet Home area. Investigation pending.
3:44 p.m. – Caller reported three dogs at large and being nuisances, and one of them tried to attack him, 800 block of Oak Terrace. Officer responded. Dogs were gone upon arrival.
4:14 p.m. – Jesse Eugene Smith, 24, cited for operating a vehicle while using a cell phone and failure to carry proof of insurance, Long and 22nd.
4:34 p.m. – Christopher Thomas Meredith, 29, cited on Sweet Home warrant for failure to appear on original charges of third-degree theft, first-degree criminal trespass and second-degree disorderly conduct, Lebanon.
11:29 p.m. – Richard Guy Tagen, 28, arrested on Sweet Home warrant for failure to comply on original charge of harassment, Klamath Falls. Cited and released.
June 8
9:11 a.m. – Caller reported tall grass, park near Pinetop. Referred to code enforcement.
9:33 a.m. – Caller reported that dogs bark and howl every time a customer comes in, 1227 Main St. Officer advised the owner of the dog of the complaint. The owner agreed to keep them quiet.
9:38 a.m. – Caller reported that a male stole items from Safeway, 1540 Main St., and is now acting out behind Santiam Drug, 1530 Main St. Officer unable to locate. Report taken.
9:44 a.m. – Caller turned in a phone located on May 26, bus stop near the library. Placed in found property.
10:27 a.m. – Caller reported motors and garbage piled up, 400 block of 19th. Referred to code enforcement.
10:32 a.m. – Caller reported tall grass, 300 block of 8th. Referred to code enforcement.
10:32 a.m. – Caller found a hypodermic needle along the road, 39900 block of Mountain Home. Deputy disposed of needle.
10:36 a.m. – David James Kamarec, 21, arrested on Linn County warrant for failure to appear on original charge of possession of meth and failure to appear on a criminal citation and new charges of third-degree theft and menacing, 1st and Holley. Transported to Linn County Jail.
12:09 p.m. – Caller reported vehicles parked for a long period of time, 1200 block of 46th. Officer advised owners of the city code, and they said they would move the vehicles within the next day.
12:38 p.m. – Callers reported juveniles behind 1295 Main St., Steelhead Strength and Fitness, and some of them had boxing gloves. Officer contacted all involved and warned them for disorderly conduct. The School District will handle discipline and contact parents.
12:49 p.m. – Caller reported a theft, 3031 Main St., Sweet Home Gleaners. Report taken. Loss valued at $198.
1:58 p.m. – Nathan Daniel Brown, 42, cited and released in field for second-degree theft, 4610 Main St.
4:09 p.m. – Steven Edward Grimm, 47, cited for driving while suspended and driving uninsured, 1010 Main St., A&W. Caller had reported his friend’s vehicle being hit at location.
6:25 p.m. – Caller reported a package stolen, 4600 block of Main. Report taken.
10:39 p.m. – Daniel Sean Lumby, 21, cited for driving uninsured and driving while suspended, Main and Clark Mill.
June 7
2:15 a.m. – Caller requested that an officer go into her residence and unplug a toaster oven she left on before leaving town, 1200 block of 40th. Officer responded, unplugged the appliance and secured the residence.
5:29 a.m. – Caller reported a male going through garbage cans and recycling bins, 44th and Airport. Officer contacted the male and counseled him on his actions. The officer told him he must ask residents for their permission. The male agreed to leave the area.
7:59 a.m. – James Eugene Richards, 23, arrested on Benton County warrant for failure to appear on original charges of possession of meth, second-degree child neglect and endangering the welfare of a minor, 23rd and Long. Cited and released.
8:43 a.m. – Caller reported a house with several mattresses throughout the yard and about six vehicles parked on the property, 14th and Elm. Caller said that she has noticed people sleeping on the mattresses and some of the vehicles at night. Referred to code enforcement, and information noted for night shift officers.
11:29 a.m. – Caller reported two dogs running at large, 4300 block of Long. Dogs were not aggressive and were running in a field.
12:16 p.m. – Caller found an Oregon motorcycle license plate, Elm and Ninth. Placed in found property.
1:02 p.m. – Caller reported that a male had set up a camp, refused to clean up his mess and passed out intoxicated on the boat ramp, Pleasant Valley Boat Ramp. Officer contacted the male and advised him that he cannot stay there.
1:12 p.m. – Caller reported solar lights stolen, 4200 block of Osage. Report taken. Loss valued at $50.
2:49 p.m. – Andrew Edwin Amundson, 28, arrested on Linn County warrant for contempt of court on original charge of driving under the influence, 1950 Main St., Sweet Home Police Department. Cited and released.
2:56 p.m. – Caller reported a female violated a release agreement by texting the caller, 1530 Tamarack St., Mountain Shadows. Report taken.
6:30 p.m. – Tanner Lee Lester, 26, arrested for second-degree criminal trespass and on a Linn County warrant for first-degree burglary and second-degree theft, 1602 18th Ave. Transported to Linn County Jail.
8:40 p.m. – Caller reported a sinkhole forming in the roadway, Flannigan and Clark Mill. Officer left cones around it, and Public Works notified.
June 6
2:36 a.m. – Caller reported that a male she does not know came into her residence, 1200 block of 44th. The caller’s husband went to confront him. The caller locked herself in a bedroom with her 10-year-old son. The officer contacted the homeowner, who did not want to pursue charges but requested the male be trespassed.
3:35 a.m. – Caller reported lions, cheetahs and elephants running through the neighbor’s yard, 1200 block of 44th. Officer contacted the caller, who advised that he was sure he saw what he said he saw. The caller agreed to go to bed and keep his window shades closed for the remainder of the night.
8:19 a.m. – Caller reported marijuana plants in a front yard, 4200 block of Long. Officer contacted the homeowner. Plants were moved to the back, and the homeowner planned to work on more appropriate screening.
8:50 a.m. – Amber Elizabeth Martinez, 29, arrested on Sweet Home warrant for failure to appear on original charge of resisting arrest, 1950 Main St., Sweet Home Police Department. Cited and released.
10:12 a.m. – Caller reported tall grass, 4300 block of Long.
12:08 p.m. – Caller reported tags stolen from her vehicle, 3224 Main St., South Fork manufactured home park. Report taken. Loss valued at $5.
1:11 p.m. – Death investigation, 3224 Main St., South Fork manufactured home park.
1:34 p.m. – Caleb Ray Barney, 30, arrested on Linn County supervisory warrant for failure to register as a sex offender and Lebanon warrant for failure to comply on original charge of probation violation, 877 14th Ave., Sankey Park.
2:05 p.m. – Caller reported a dog barking constantly when the owner is not home, 700 block of Ninth. The caller tried to talk to the owner. The caller said he told her that he lived there before she did and to get over it. Officer contacted the caller, who wanted the incident noted but did not wish for the officer to contact the caller at this time.
2:06 p.m. – Caller reported tall grass, 13th and Quince. Referred to code enforcement.
3:32 p.m. – Caller reported tall grass, 1000 block of Cedar. Referred to code enforcement.
4:21 p.m. – Caller reported that a work truck was stolen from a work site five days earlier. The caller said that a worker hit his son over the head to obtain the keys, and now based on Facebook posts, a former worker has the truck at the coast, 2400 block of Harding. Vehicle signed as stolen.
5:30 p.m. – David Edward McCracken, 22, cited on Sweet Home warrant for failure to comply on original charge of harassment, Gladstone.
11:25 p.m. – Ra Ross Allen Scott, 24, arrested on Sweet Home warrant for failure to appear on original charge of third-degree theft, Albany. Cited and released.
June 5
8:56 a.m. – Caller reported that a male left a bike behind a day earlier, 800 block of 7th. He said he would be back but never returned. Officer placed the bike in found property.
9:26 a.m. – Caller reported a wallet stolen, 1200 block of 23rd. Report taken. Loss valued at $59.50.
10:53 a.m. – Caller reported that someone entered his unsecured truck and items were missing, 2600 block of Kalmia. Report taken. Loss valued at $275.
12:22 p.m. – Edward Oscar Hertel, 40, cited for failure to yield to a pedestrian in a crosswalk, Long and 18th.
1:50 p.m. – Caller reported he was scammed out of $250 over his computer, 4700 block of Airport Lane. Report taken.
3:49 p.m. – Caller reported a printer stolen, 3100 block of Main. Report taken. Loss valued at $400.
4:42 p.m. – Caller reported that a male at the caller’s residence had facial injuries, 1200 block of Osage. He told her he was jumped. Report taken.
5:09 p.m. – Caller reported a dog running loose and making the caller’s dog bark, 1000 block of 23rd. Officer unable to locate.
8:03 p.m. – Lesa Carina Hansen, 36, and Andrew Peter Hansen, 37, arrested for harassment (domestic violence) and disorderly conduct, 4230 Long St. Cited and released. A caller had reported a male and female fighting, with possibly three additional males involved.
10:03 p.m. – Kathrin Pauleen Bly, 45, arrested on Sweet Home warrant for failure to comply on original charge of third-degree theft, Philomath. Cited and released.
