June 14

12:34 a.m. – Andrew Jacob Justin Cartwright, 33, arrested on Sweet Home warrants for failure to appear on two counts of first-degree criminal trespass, Douglas County.

9:48 a.m. – Non-injury motor vehicle accidente reported 50700 block of Quartzville Road. Officer responded.

10:27 a.m. – Caller reported wallet found on side of road, 26000 A St. Deputies seized wallet, attempting to find owner. Investigation ongoing.

12:54 p.m. – Caller reported that items were stolen from an unlocked truck, 1411 Meadlowlark. Officer responded. Loss valued at $250.

5:53 p.m. – Caller reported disturbance at birthday party in Sankey Park. 10-year-old had thrown rock at another juvenile. 10-year-old was pinned down. Mother of juvenile at whom rock was thrown did not want to pursue charges, simply wanted other party counseled, which was done by responding officer.

9:44 p.m. – Deputy contacted mail and female at campsite near 18.5 milepost on Quartzville Road. Advised to vacate site due to overstaying.

9:53 p.m. – Caller reported theft that occurred around 9:06 pm. at Thriftway, 621 Main St. Officer responded. Approximate value taken $80-90.

11:08 p.m. – Aggressive driver cited on Highway 20 near Weatherly Lane. Speed recorded at 78-80 mph in 55 zone. Driver on way home from work. Citation issued. Record did not name driver.

June 13

1:21 a.m. – Caller reported she was looking for a place to stay the night and stopped to use a restroom at Sunnyside Park. She said a man grabbed her after she exited the restroom and shoved her into her car. She said he then drove her car straight into the boat ramp and into the water. The woman said the man jumped from the car before it went into the water, and then she got out. An investigation is ongoing.

10:09 a.m. – Tiffany Ann Bates, 20, arrested on Linn County warrants for two counts of possession of methamphetamine, two counts of possession of heroin and carrying a concealed weapon, Foster Elementary School. Cited and released.

10:23 a.m. – Officer delivered prescription medication, 3200 block of Main.

12:45 p.m. – Caller reported a dog was outside being aggressive and the dog appeared neglected, 1400 block of Sunset. Officer contacted the owner. Officer had no concerns for the dog. The owner advised of the complaint. Owner agreed to keep the dog inside.

1:17 p.m. – Report taken for fraud, 28100 block of Water Lane.

1:20 p.m. – Caller reported a boat partially sank at Calkins Boat Ramp.

1:50 p.m. – Shannon Marie Richards cited for driving uninsured, Highway 20 Church of Christ.

2:12 p.m. – Caller reported an abandoned bicycle, 4300 block of Airport. Placed in found property.

3:36 p.m. – Allen Dale Ensley, 31, arrested on Douglas County warrant for failure to appear on original charge of unauthorized entry into a motor vehicle, and Denise Rochelle Burrow, 53, arrested on Sweet Home warrant for failure to comply on original charges of second-degree disorderly conduct and second-degree criminal trespass and Linn County warrant for failure to appear on possession of meth, first-degree criminal trespass and five criminal citations, 18th and railroad tracks. Both cited and released.

6:13 p.m. – Caller reported a male taking clothing from underneath the donation truck, 1762 Main St., Goodwill. Report taken.

9:14 p.m. – Deputy contacted a camp at about milepost 17.2, Quartzville Road. Occupants advised they had stayed beyond the 14-day limit and must move on.

9:24 p.m. – A male and female camped at Quartzville and Boulder Creek advised they had stayed beyond the 14-day limit and must move on.

11:34 p.m. – Amanda Binks, 27, cited and released in field on Sweet Home warrant for failure to appear on original charge of second-degree disorderly conduct, 1200 12th Ave, Chewy’s.

June 12

2:41 a.m. – Caller found a bag of drugs, 2405 Main St., 7-Eleven. Property seized for disposal.

8:01 a.m. – Andee Mae Neighbors, 22, cited for driving while suspended and driving uninsured, and Justin Wayne Seibert, 31, cited and released in field on Linn County warrant for failure to appear on possession of methamphetamine and a criminal citation, 600 block of 4th.

1:55 p.m. – Robert Thomas Halfacre, 34, turned himself in on Linn County warrant for probation violation on original charge of possession of methamphetamine, 1950 Main St., Sweet Home Police Department. Cited and released.

2:48 p.m. – Kevin Earl Terwilliger, 57, cited and released in field for misdemeanor driving while suspended and attempting to elude and cited for driving uninsured, careless driving and unlawful backing, 49th and Locust. Vehicle impounded.

6:27 p.m. – Caller reported a transient camped in the alley, 1100 block of Main. Transient packed up and moved along.

7:19 p.m. – Caller reported he fell asleep while driving and drove into a hay field, 26000 block of Brush Creek. Minimal damage and no injuries. Property owner did not wish to pursue anything.

8:10 p.m. – James Robert Warrington, 41, cited and released in field on Sweet Home warrant for failure to comply on original charge of second-degree criminal trespass, Towne Pump.

8:41 p.m. – Caller reported a small brown dog had been hanging out most of the evening at the front door, 4824 Main St., Hilltop Market. Officer responded. Dog gone upon arrival.

June 11

12:38 a.m. – Machaelray Jensen, 39, cited and released in field on Sweet Home warrant for failure to appear on original charge of second-degree criminal trespass and failure to appear on original charge of second-degree criminal mischief, 2400 block of Main.

2:21 a.m. – Caller reported a pickup driving slowly through the parking lot and then parking, 1540 Main St., Safeway. Officer contacted two males, who said they were running low on fuel and were waiting for a place to open. They were advised to move along under the Property Watch program. They moved along and waited outside of town.

6:31 a.m. – Caller saw someone break into his house via security camera, 4200 block of Airport. Officer contacted the male, trespassed and escorted him from the property at the owner’s request. Officer secured the residence.

7:53 a.m. – Caller reported that people built a campfire in the gazebo at Sankey park, 877 14th Ave. Officer contacted two individuals, who immediately put out the fire when advised to do so. Both were warned for reckless burning.

8:48 a.m. – Caller reported someone stole items from an excavator and skid-steer, 2210 block of Tamarack, old mill property. Report taken.

9:38 a.m. – Caller reported a vehicle had been parked on the street for more than a month and another vehicle parked facing the wrong direction, 900 block of Poplar. First vehicle tagged for removal. Second vehicle posted with a written warning.

11:01 a.m. – Vehicle tagged for removal, 900 block of Poplar.

11:38 a.m. – Two-vehicle crash reported, 47200 block of of Quartzville. No injuries. Crash involved a Toyota RAV4 and a log truck. No injuries.

2:02 p.m. – Caller reported the theft of clothing and jewelry from her trailer, 1200 block of 46th. Report taken.

2:35 p.m. – Officer found a bicycle in the bushes by the creek, 877 14th Ave., Sankey Park. Placed in found property.

2:51 p.m. – Caller reported her son was bitten by a neighbor’s dog, 1300 block of Quince. Officer responded. The bite did not break the skin. No quarantine order issued. Dog owner warned.

3:08 p.m. – Caller reported a dog running loose, Kalmia and Mountain View. Officer unable to locate.

4:05 p.m. – Caller reported a single-vehicle crash, 26300 block of Fern Ridge. Vehicle went off the road at a curve.

5:29 p.m. – Jay Boyd Marsh, 55, turned himself in on Sweet Home warrants for failure to appear on original charges of second-degree criminal trespass and second-degree theft, 1950 Main St., Sweet Home Police Department. Cited and released.

7:43 p.m. – Caller reported a manhole cover missing, 2400 block of Main. Officer responded. It was a water line access cover. Officer located and replaced the cover.

8:07 p.m. – Caller turned insulin pens into the Police Department, 1950 Main St. Items seized for disposal.

June 10

2:48 a.m. – Caller reported a deputy collided with the center median, Main and 10th. Report taken.

7:01 a.m. – Caller reported a vehicle had been abandoned on the street for some time, 1700 block of Dogwood. Vehicle posted for removal.

8:16 a.m. – Caller reported a male violated a restraining order by sending her a Facebook message, 900 block of 15th. Report taken.

11:01 a.m. – Report taken for a sex offense, 28400 block of Liberty.

1:16 p.m. – Caller reported that a person with an Indian accent was calling her teenage daughter repeatedly and asking for sexual favors, 1530 Tamarack St., Tamarack Ridge Estates. Officer contacted the caller. No one knew who the person was. Caller was advised to block the phone number.

3:28 p.m. – Edward A. Stevenson, 27, cited and released in field for third-degree theft, 621 Main St., Thriftway. Caller had reported a male stealing a shopping cart. Stevenson trespassed from the property.

5:15 p.m. – Michelle Diane Tonning, 43, cited and released for third-degree theft during followup, 1950 Main St., Sweet Home Police Department.

10:28 p.m. – Caller reported the use of fireworks in the area, 1200 block of Tamarack. Officer contacted people at a gathering and seized “black cat” fireworks. Everyone was cooperative and understanding. Unknown who brought the fireworks. Homeowner warned for possession of fireworks.

June 9

12:04 a.m. – Caller reported a cat had been injured in front of her residence, 1200 block of 2nd. Officer responded. Cat appeared to have been hit by a vehicle. The cat was brought back to the Police Department and dispatched.

7:22 a.m. – Kevin Earl Terwilliger, 57, arrested for misdemeanor driving while suspended and cited for driving uninsured and illegal alteration of plate, 1540 Main St., Safeway. Cited and released. Registration sticker seized.

8:22 a.m. – Caller reported a neighbor cut tree branches and put them onto the caller’s property, 1500 block of Tamarack. Officer and code enforcement responded, contacted, provided options and counseled both parties.

8:40 a.m. – Zachery Michael Sigler, 24, turned himself in on Brownsville warrant for contempt of court, 1950 Main St., Sweet Home Police Department. Cited and released.

2:01 p.m. – Ashley Miles, 31, arrested on Linn County supervisory warrant for parole violation on original charge of possession of methamphetamine and cited for driving while suspended, driving uninsured and illegal alteration of plates, Highway 228 and Long. Transported to Linn County Jail.

2:44 p.m. – Caller reported a male told him Trump supporters should be shot and told the caller to meet him outside, 1980 Main St., Bi-Mart. Officer contacted the caller and spoke with him about concerns with him open carrying a firearm. The other male was gone upon officer arrival.

3:28 p.m. – Caller found two dogs and brought them to the Police Department, 43000 block of Ames Creek. Linn County Animal Control picked up the dogs.

3:48 p.m. – Caller reported a neighbor’s dog got out and tried to attack her, and a second caller said the first caller was threatening her over the dog getting out of the house, 2200 block of Long. Officer contacted both parties. The owner of the dog is going to fix the fence.

4:09 p.m. – Michelle Kimberly Ray cited for driving while suspended, driving uninsured and using a cell phone while driving, 3900 block of Long. Vehicle impounded.

7:02 p.m. – Caller reported a single-vehicle crash, 49400 block of Quartzville. No injury.

9:09 p.m. – Caller reported a female was hit by a vehicle, which ran over her bike, 11th and Main. Officer contacted the female, who knew the driver and did not want to pursue the matter.

10:41 p.m. – Caller reported that someone entered her vehicle and left a letter, 1200 block of 23rd. Officer responded. The caller did not know how the letter got into the vehicle. The vehicle was locked. Information noted.

June 8

9:02 a.m. – Officer located a vehicle parked in a no-parking zone, 6100 block of Main. Vehicle tagged for removal.

2:03 p.m. – Officer located a disabled motorist and provided a courtesy transport to the registered owner, 3200 block of Long.

3:36 p.m. – Bryce William McGowan, 36, cited on Clackamas County warrants for failure to appear on original charges of failure to appear and providing false information, 23rd and Main.

5:01 p.m. – Dale Jess Grant Reeley, 31, cited for driving while suspended, 900 block of Main.

5:16 p.m. – Donald Ray Watkins, 56, arrested for misdemeanor driving while suspended and Sweet Home warrant for failure to comply on original charge of negotiating a bad check and cited for driving uninsured and illegal display of plate, 4th and Main. Cited and released.

6:18 p.m. – Caller reported her vehicle was sold without her permission, 2200 block of Nandina. Investigation continuing.

7:19 p.m. – Caller reported a single-vehicle crash, 29400 block of Berlin. No injury.

8:24 p.m. – Report taken for a fraud where the victim sent $580 to a person in Africa, 40700 block of Highway 228.

June 7

12:48 a.m. – Caller reported seeing flashlights in the backyard at a nearby house, 4500 block of Airport Lane. Officer walked through the backyard with the resident. Nothing appeared out of place and secure.

1:50 a.m. – Caller reported taking money from his girlfriend’s wallet to keep her from buying drugs, and a second caller reported her boyfriend stealing money from her wallet, 900 block of Main. Officer contacted both parties. No physical altercation. Theft occurred in the county. Male admitted to taking the items but did not want to return them. Female advised to contact Linn County Sheriff’s Office or handle civilly. Female left the area.

11:36 a.m. – Caller reported she was out walking her dog and two other dogs showed up and attacked her dog, 100 block of 8th. Officer contacted the owner of the other dogs and warned him for dog at large. Caller’s dog was not injured.

11:38 a.m. – Edwardo Luis Ribas, 60, cited for driving while suspended, 621 Main St., Thriftway.

12:03 p.m. – Caller reported a male in a wheelchair went over an embankment and it appeared he couldn’t get back out, 1100 block of Juniper. Officer assisted the male getting back to the roadway. He denied further assistance.

1:54 p.m. – Caller reported a female sitting in the parking lot drinking alcohol, 501 W. Nandina St., Hillside Fellowship. Officer contacted the female and advised her of the complaint. She agreed to gather her belongings and leave.

5:06 p.m. – Caller reported her boyfriend kicked her out of the car and she did not know where she was, 1800 block of 18th. Officer contacted the caller and provided her directions to the nearest motel.

6:29 p.m. – Caller reported a tree fell and a limb was leaning on a power line and nearby home, 1700 block of 11th. Officer contacted the homeowner, who was aware the tree had fallen and had plans to have it removed. Pacific Power was advised and dispatched a technician.

7:15 p.m. – Deuty advised a large group setting up camp to move on from a “no camping” spot, 51100 block of Quartzville. Most of the camp was packed up 15 minutes later.

June 6

4:43 a.m. – Jacob Hughes, 22, cited and released in field on Linn County warrant for probation violation on original charge of unlawful possession of a firearm, Mountain View and Ames Creek.

6:04 a.m. – Report taken for harassment, 900 block of Main. Caller had reported his girlfriend drinking and taking Xanax. Caller tried to hide the keys, but she found them and drove off. Officer located the vehicle and contacted the female. No signs of impairment.

1:27 p.m. – Caller found a bank card in an ATM machine, 1890 Main St., Umpqua Bank. Item placed in found property.

1:31 p.m. – Caller reported a male in a wheelchair hunched over in the roadway, 1100 block of 13th. The male refused law enforcement and medical assistance. Officer supplied him with food and water and helped him to a dry area then advised a friend of the situation.

2:35 p.m. – Justin Ray Gomez, 28, cited on Sweet Home warrant for failure to comply on original charge of second-degree disorderly conduct, Lebanon.

4:04 p.m. – Caller reported her neighbors were out of town and their garage door had been open since the previous night, 700 block of 29th. Officer checked the residence. Unable to locate signs of suspicious activity. Garage secured at the homeowner’s request.

4:59 p.m. – Pamela Han Menge, 60, cited for speeding, 1100 block of Main.

8:30 p.m. – Caller reported jewelry missing from home, 1200 block of 2nd. Report taken. Loss valued at $500.

11:40 p.m. – Caller reported a male pointed a gun at her, 8th Avenue. Female did not want to file a criminal report. Officer unable to locate the male or his vehicle.

June 5

1:03 p.m. – Caller reported a white truck parked on the street for several days, 100 block of 4th. Vehicle posted for removal.

2 p.m. – Caller reported that a female stole his wallet, 4800 block of Main. Report taken.

9:50 p.m. – Caller believed she could hear a cougar and two kittens patrolling the area, 42nd and Osage. Officer responded. Cougar was heard but not seen. Officer unable to locate.

11:22 p.m. – Konane Leslie, 26, cited and released in field on Lebanon warrant for probation violation on original charge of driving while suspended and Sweet Home warrant for failure to comply on original charge of driving under the influence, 4100 block of Main.
