March 12

6:57 a.m. – Caller reported a male lying on the sidewalk, 1530 Main St., Santiam Drug. Officer contacted a male and female who were sleeping. They moved on.

11:13 a.m. – Jody Lawrence Maruffo, 38, arrested for second-degree assault, 300 W. Holley Road, Stonebrook Apartments. Transported to Linn County Jail. Caller had reported a neighbor bleeding from his head and fighting with another male.

March 11

12:16 a.m. – Caller reported a male was in her yard peeing and possibly trying to get into her house, 1000 block of 12th. Officer responded. Unable to locate.

1:19 a.m. – Jason Lee Underwood, 38, cited for driving uninsured, Pleasant Valley and Ridgeway. Vehicle impounded.

2:03 a.m. – Caller reported that someone broke into his truck and stole his tools, 5300 block of Main. Information noted.

7:29 a.m. – Caller reported saws and other items stolen, 5900 block of Nandina. Report taken. Loss valued at $525.

9:51 a.m. – Caller turned in two fake $100 bills found on the street, 47th and Airport.

12:57 p.m. – James David Stedman III, 27, arrested on Sweet Home warrant for failure to appear on original charge of driving under the influence, Independence. Cited and released.

1:53 p.m. – Jennifer Marlene Robertson, 43, arrested on Sweet Home warrant for failure to appear on original charge of driving under the influence, 1950 Main St., Sweet Home Police Department. Cited and released.

2:22 p.m. – Caller reported her son’s bicycle stolen from the Junior High, 880 22nd Ave. report taken. Loss valued at $100.

3:54 p.m. – David James Kamarec, 21, arrested on Harrisburg Justice Court warrant for second-degree animal abuse, and a new charge of possession of meth, Chevron. Cited and released.

6:58 p.m. – Caller reported a motorcycle crash, 41200 block of Highway 228. No injuries.

7:04 p.m. – Caller reported two subjects camping on the porch of the United Methodist Church, 845 6th Ave. Officer contacted the males and asked them to move along.

7:29 p.m. – Caller reported picking up a loose dog, 500 block of 4th. Dog placed in kennel.

March 10

1:39 a.m. – Mason William Monroe, 24, arrested on Linn County warrant for probation violation on original charge of possession of meth, 2405 Main St., Circle K. Transported to Linn County Jail.

8:08 a.m. – Caller reported an abandoned pickup full of garbage, 1300 block of 54th. Referred to code enforcement.

10:53 a.m. – Caller reported two large dogs running loose down the street, 46th and Long. Dogs returned to owner.

11:44 a.m. – Darrell Berrigan Jr., 44, arrested on Sweet Home warrant for failure to appear on original charge of third-degree theft, Albany. Cited and released.

12:12 p.m. – Caller reported a dog attacking a female, 1200 block of 49th. Officer contacted a female who advised the dog ran out and attacked her and her dog. Officer unable to locate owner. A neighbor came and picked it up.

1:07 a.m. – Caller found a stray dog, 1300 block of Quince. Dog placed in kennel.

1:18 p.m. – Caller found a TV remote in the parking lot, 1540 Main St., Safeway. Placed in found property.

1:20 p.m. – Anthony Justin Zib, 39, arrested on Sweet Home warrant for failure to comply on original charge of third-degree theft, Clackamas County. Cited and released.

1:34 p.m. – Caller reported that a female stole his sister’s jacket, 3100 block of Main. Report taken.

1:41 p.m. – Caller reported a theft, 40800 block of Highway 228. Report taken.

2:09 p.m. – Veronica Sue Szuch, 20, turned in herself on a Linn County warrant for failure to comply on original charge of third-degree theft, 37th and Long. Transported to Linn County Jail.

2:21 p.m. – Caller reported that a bunch of mail had been thrown into an entryway, 3700 block of Long. All items returned to rightful owners. Report taken.

2:39 p.m. – Caller reported bums squatting on the trail behind 900 block of Mountain View, and they’re leaving garbage and needles there. Referred to code enforcement.

6:56 p.m. – John Pablo Scott, 27, arrested on Sweet Home warrant for failure to appear on original charge of third-degree escape, Lebanon. Cited and released.

7:06 p.m. – Caller found a backpack, 800 block of 6th. Placed in found property.

March 9

3:31 a.m. – Paul William Kalina, 41, arrested on Linn County warrant for probation violation on original charge of possession of meth and Sweet Home warrant for failure to appear on original charge of theft of services, 29th and Juniper. Transported to Linn County Jail.

10:20 a.m. – Caller reported that someone broke a window in her van and items taken, 1300 block of 45th. Report taken.

10:31 a.m. – Officer located an abandoned vehicle, 900 block of 27th. Referred to code enforcement.

12:57 p.m. – Caller reported garbage piling up in the front yard, 1800 block of Tamarack. Referred to code enforcement.

2:08 p.m. – Caller reported a stray dog wandering her neighborhood, 1100 block of 23rd. Dog placed in kennel.

2:33 p.m. – Caller found a dog, 700 block of Long. Dog placed in temporary dog crate then released to owner.

5:10 p.m. – Caller found a stray dog, 1530 Tamarack St., Mountain Shadows. Dog placed in temporary crate.

10:06 p.m. – Caller reported a male sleeping in a van, end of 45th Avenue. Officer contacted the registered owner, who said he would leave the following day after getting his belongings from a storage unit.

10:16 p.m. – Sheryl Anne Feigum, 47, arrested for harassment, criminal mischief and second-degree criminal trespass, 300 W. Holley Road, Stonebrook Apartments. Cited and released. Caller had reported a female entering her house, pushing the caller out of the door and biting her ear.

March 8

8:11 a.m. – Caller reported a bicycle had been dumped in front of a vacant house, 2300 block of Long. Bike placed in found property.

9:47 a.m. – David Arroyo-Sandoval, 36, arrested for a restraining order violation, 1533 47th Ave. Transported to Linn County Jail.

1:01 p.m. – Tony Bryan Bowman, 52, arrested on Sweet Home warrant for contempt of court on original charge of second-degree theft, 1950 Main St., Sweet Home Police Department. Cited and released.

2:42 p.m. – Four male subjects trespassed for 30 days, 1101 13th Ave., Sweet Home Public Library. Caller had reported four subjects smoking marijuana at location.

3:03 p.m. – Jacob Lynn Goodwin, 22, arrested on Sweet Home warrant for failure to appear on original charge of third-degree theft, 1101 13th Ave., Sweet Home Public Library. Cited and released.

4:26 p.m. – Caller located a dog running loose near Thriftway, 321 Main St. Dog placed in kennel.

4:42 p.m. – Caller reported a vehicle stolen, 300 block of 7th. Report taken.

5:28 p.m. – Christopher Thomas Meredith, 29, cited and released in field on Sweet Home warrant for failure to appear on original charge of third-degree theft, 13th and Main.

7:32 p.m. – Caller located a dog on the highway. Dog placed in kennel.

9:24 p.m. – Austin Wayne Sater, 27, cited on Sweet Home warrant for failure to comply on original charge of second-degree disorderly conduct, Linn County Jail.

10:16 p.m. – Caller reported a male sleeping in the Starbucks area and refusing to leave when told to, 1540 Main St., Safeway. Officer responded. Male was fine and left location.

March 7

4:13 a.m. – Caller reported she was assaulted by an intoxicated male while they were up in the snow. She said they had gotten stuck in the snow, and he got very upset and kicked her out. Report taken. Investigation continuing.

8:25 a.m. – Caller reported hearing someone screaming near Ames Creek, 500 block of Surrey Lane. Officer located a juvenile who was in the creek. He was returned to his mother.

1:40 p.m. – Caller reported that an RV is blocking the roadway, Main and 60th. Vehicle moved out of the roadway by a tow truck.

March 6

3:41 a.m. – Caller reported that a vehicle hit a horse that was in the roadway and another horse was walking on the fog line, 40900 block of Highway 228. Report taken. Horse dispatched. Owner notified.

10:41 a.m. – Caller reported that someone stole a sound bar from the church, 890 Mountain View Road, Sweet Home Assembly of God. Report taken.

11:56 a.m. – Caller reported that a suspicious male parked his bicycle in her carport then went into the neighbor’s house, 1300 block of Tamarack. Officer responded. Unable to contact owner of the bicycle. Officer moved the bicycle over to the neighbor’s house.

12:26 p.m. – Quintin Wyatt Quadros, 19, arrested on Sweet Home warrant for failure to appear on original charge of second-degree criminal mischief, 1303 Long St., Sweet Home Post Office. Transported to Linn County Jail.

2:40 p.m. – Gary Louis Coomer, 44, arrested on Linn County Justice Court warrant for probation violation and Lebanon warrant for contempt of court on original charge of driving while suspended; and Nicholas Scott Warren, 37, arrested on Lincoln County warrant for failure to appear on original charges of third-degree theft, failure to appear and a citation; Linn County warrant for failure to appear on original charge of possession of meth; Sweet Home warrant for failure to appear on original charges of second-degree criminal trespass and two original charges of third-degree theft; and Lebanon warrant for failure to appear on a citation, 910 13th Ave. Coomer transported to Lebanon Police Department, and Warren transported to Linn County Jail.

8:21 p.m. – Caller reported that people were sleeping in the carport, 1575 Main St., Chamber of Commerce. Officer responded and advised a male he could not sleep at the location. The male gathered his belongings and moved along.

8:38 p.m. – Caller reported a stray dog sitting outside, 5th and Ironwood. Dog placed in kennel.

March 5

9:49 a.m. – Caller said there was serious damage to his property, 1000 block of Northside. It appears a car went off the roadway and crashed into his rock wall. There were still fragments of the vehicle there. Report taken.

2:23 p.m. – Caller reported a muffler lying in the middle of the road, Foster Dam Road. Officer located crushed metal and disposed of it.

2:34 p.m. – A SHPD officer found a stop sign on the ground at an intersection, 43300 block of North River. It looked like it had been run over. Report taken.

2:42 p.m. – Caller reported a stop sign facing the wrong direction, 22nd and Long. Officer responded and located the sign. The officer turned it in the right direction and advised Public Works it was missing the part that holds it in place.

3:56 p.m. – Julia Anne Payne, 38, arrested on Sweet Home warrant for failure to comply on original charge of third-degree theft, Lebanon. Cited and released.

4:46 p.m. – Jacob Joseph Hughes, 19, cited for no license and driving uninsured in single-vehicle crash, 18th and Main. Vehicle towed away by driver. No injuries. An officer had located a single vehicle that had struck a light pole.

5:20 p.m. – Caller reported that people driving by threw eggs at her, First and Highway 228. Report taken.

March 4

2:30 a.m. – Joseph Dunham, 38, cited for driving while suspended violation and no insurance in single-vehicle crash. A caller had reported a driver involved in a roll over crash into a fence, 2400 block Berlin Road.

March 2

12:41 a.m. – Sweet Home Police Department received a report of a Toyota pickup truck hitting the wall, 1700 block Foster Dam Road. The driver ran through a stop sign and crashed. No citations were issued at the time. No one went to the hospital. Report taken.

10:04 a.m. – Five cows were loose in a caller’s yard, 27600 block of Riggs Hill. Caller believed they may belong to the neighbor.

March 1

5:13 a.m. – Caller was taking his dog out and caught someone with a vehicle on his property taking items, 39400 block Highway 228. The caller followed them to Upper Calapooia Road. Report taken.
