March 21

12:44 a.m. – Andrea Joyce Ashby, 33, arrested on Linn County warrants for failure to appear on original charges of unauthorized use of a motor vehicle and reckless driving and probation violation on two counts of criminal mistreatment; Lebanon warrants for probation violation and failure to appear on a criminal citation; and Sweet Home warrants for failure to appear on original charges of third-degree theft and providing false information to a police officer, 4805 Main St. Transported to Linn County Jail.

9:57 a.m. – Bobby Ray Fowler, 52, arrested on Sweet Home warrant for failure to comply on original charge of third-degree theft, 45th and Main. Cited and released.

12:07 p.m. – Officer located a male who had consumed alcohol exceeding the limit for a park, Sankey Park. He was given the choice of leaving the park for 24 hours or a citation. Male chose to leave the park for 24 hours.

March 20

8:29 a.m. – Officer responded to a report of a phone that had been stolen the previous night and the carrier tracked it to an address in the 1700 block of 12th Avenue, where the complainant was waiting for police. The complainant’s phone was returned and she said she didn’t want to pursue the matter any further.

8:44 a.m. – Serenity Nichole Tsosie, 16, referred to the Juvenile Department for possession of less than an ounce of marijuana, 1641 Long St. Released to staff members.

10:17 a.m. – Kevin Roy Hampton, 50, cited and released in field on Sweet Home warrant for failure to appear on original charge of misdemeanor driving while suspended, Mill property off 43rd.

10:25 a.m. – Caller reported trash in the front yard and chickens in the backyard, 1100 block of 47th. Referred to code enforcement.

12:13 p.m. – Caller reported dogs barking day and night, 300 West Pine. Owners were warned two days earlier on the consequences. Referred to code enforcement.

1:24 p.m. – Rockie Eugene William Morse, 40, cited and released in field on Lebanon warrant for contempt of court on original charge of second-degree theft and probation violation, Hilltop Market.

2:37 p.m. – Officer located vehicle listed as stolen from Sweet Home, 700 block of Birch. Registered owner stated she found the vehicle on Ninth Avenue the day before and retrieved it, but she forgot to let the Police Department know.

2:44 p.m. – John Lee Palmer, 47, arrested on Linn County warrant for first-degree criminal mischief, 1950 Main St., Sweet Home Police Department. Cited and released.

4:01 p.m. – Caller reported people are occupying RV in the driveway, 1300 block of Clark Mill. Referred to code enforcement.

4:14 p.m. – Heather Jovan Martinez, 29, arrested for theft of services, 1950 Main St., Sweet Home Police Department. Cited and released.

5:28 p.m. – Caller reported neighbor has trash in the yard, Kalmia and 28th. Referred to code enforcement.

5:57 p.m. – Alan Edwin May, 44, cited for speeding, 63-45, 4600 block of Main.

7:04 p.m. – Caller reported the theft of a galvanized metal drum from her backyard, 1200 block of Nandina. Report taken. Drum valued at $20.

11:46 p.m. – Caller reported a male punched the hood of his car and threw a bottle at the vehicle, cracking the windshield, 1950 Main St., Sweet Home Police Department. Information noted.

March 19

3:20 a.m. – Caller reported male in red jacket diving for cover when headlights swept over him, and voiced concerns that subject might be checking out a house. Officer reponded and found elderly male who fell. Officer helped him back to his residence and he was fine when medics checked him out. Family members were en route to take care of him. 1200 block Mountain Fir Court.

6:14 a.m. – David John Majtan, 64, cited and released in field for possession of meth and frequenting a place where controlled substances are used. Sherri Lynn Smith, 41, cited and released in field for frequenting a place where controlled substances are used; Scott Lee Clark, 49, arrested for distribution of meth, possession of meth and frequenting a place where controlled substances are used and on a state warrant for parole violation, 959 Elm St. Police served a search warrant at the location.

9:38 a.m. – Katie Allien Olsen, 21, served on a Sweet Home warrant for failure to appear on original charge of harassment, Linn County Sheriff’s Office.

12:52 p.m. – Caller reported the theft of a bicycle, 3000 block of Long. Report taken.

3:57 p.m. – Caller reported a vehicle has been parked on the street for three weeks, 700 block of Fourth. She has asked the neighbors to move it, but it does not belong to anyone in the area. Referred to code enforcement.

4:01 p.m. – Caller reported a male just assaulted another male with a tire iron, 4800 block of Main. Investigation continuing.

7:40 p.m. – Caller reported the theft of $100 worth of CDs, 1200 block of Nandina. Report taken.

March 18

12:09 a.m. – Rhys Allan Cyrus, 34, cited for driving uninsured and no license, Main near 46th. Vehicle impounded.

11:59 a.m. – Micah Joseph Schulte, 33, arrested for third-degree theft, 1540 Main St., Safeway. Cited and released.

7:06 p.m. – Case with portable DVD player inside turned in to Police Department. Found in area of 45th and Main. Seized as found property.

11:12 p.m. – Alex Jordan Armstrong, 20, cited for MIP alcohol by consumption after report of loud party in back yard in 1800 block Grape Street.

March 17

2:30 p.m. – Caller reported a horse on property within the city limits, 1000 block of 43rd. Referred to code enforcement.

2:53 p.m. – Officer responded to report of wire stripped out of a pole at the Farmers Market site in the Thriftway parking lot, 621 Main St. Value estimated at $80. Report taken.

3:33 p.m. – Caller reported that she had discovered earlier in the day that her pickup, described as a blue Ford Ranger with license 125AEB was missing from her home in the 700 block of Birch Street. Report taken.

6:27 p.m. – Caller reported that gasoline was stolen from her vehicle parked in the the 400 block of Maple Lane. Estimated value $15. Report taken for unlawful entry into motor vehicle, third-degree theft and criminal mischief.

7:16 p.m. – Jennifer Dee Russel, 36, and Robert Richard Creach, 38, cited as parent for failure to use bicycle helmet after officer stopped two 11-year-olds at 49th and Maple.

March 16

2:18 p.m. – Officer responded to report of two juveniles and their mother riding a four-wheeler and dirt bike on the old airport property. Informed the three that they were on private property and needed the land owner’s permission.

5:13 p.m. – Officer responded to report of five or six children between ages of 2 and 5 playing with lighters and fireworks, 4600 block Airport Lane. Officer found juveniles in middle of roadway. Parents were nearby, but not in line of sight. Parents were advised of complaint and said they would move children to their location so they could supervise.
