3:10 a.m. – Subject sped away from a police officer at a high rate of speed, 10th and Main. The vehicle was a dark-colored 2000 Jeep GCH, license plate XJK835. Report taken.

3:36 a.m. – Richard Lee Kintzley, 30, arrested for reckless driving and Sweet Home warrant for failure to comply on original charge of third-degree theft and cited for driving while suspended, 100 block of 10th.

Feb. 28

11:25 a.m. – Shane Wells, 42, cited for driving while suspended, driving uninsured and failure to renew registration, behind All-Star Pizza.

11:30 a.m. – Tanten Rhoads, 22, cited for failure to renew registration, 1100 block of 12th.

11:35 a.m. – Caller found a hatchet in the women’s restroom garbage can, 2301 Main St., Taco Time. Placed in found property.

12:11 p.m. – Jamie Carpenter, 42, cited for no license and failure to register vehicle, Wagon Wheel manufactured home park.

1:51 p.m. – Michelle Ray, 28, cited for driving while suspended and driving uninsured, Sweet Home Sanitation.

2:39 p.m. – Caller found a cell phone near the roadway, Airport and 50th. Placed in found property.

3:54 p.m. – Brent Gallup, 71, arrested for restraining order violation, 3100 block of Main.

4:02 p.m. – Lisa Jones, 57, arrested on Linn County warrant for failure to appear on original charge of possession of meth and Sweet Home warrant for failure to comply on original charge of failure to appear, 18th and Main. Cited and released.

8:36 p.m. – Karen Linette Baugus, 46, cited for driving while suspended, 2200 block of Long.

9:18 p.m. – Caller reported the theft of a license plate from a trailer, 700 block of 50th. Report taken.

Feb. 27

11:01 a.m. – Caller reported a line down across a parking lot, 4320 Main St. Officer responded. Line appeared to be a cable or phone line.

9:32 p.m. – Samantha Leann Stotz, 27, cited and released in field on Marion County warrant for failure to appear on original charge of first-degree forgery, Sweet Home warrant for failure to appear on original charge of second-degree criminal mischief and Marion County warrant for failure to appear on original charge of interfering with a police officer.

Feb. 26

3:23 a.m. – Kevin Ray Porter, 48, turned in himself on Sweet Home warrant for failure to comply on original charge of second-degree criminal trespass, 1950 Main St., Sweet Home Police Department. Cited and released.

9:15 a.m. – Caller reported that a tree partially covering the street was causing vehicles to drive in a ditch to get around it, 1900 block of Tamarack. Public Works notified.

11:01 a.m. – Charas Lelainia Blanco, 45, arrested on Sweet Home warrant for failure to comply on original charge of third-degree theft, 1950 Main St., Sweet Home Police Department.

2 p.m. – Joshua Kealohanui Ben Leslie, 31, arrested on Linn County warrant for failure to appear on original charge of possession of meth, 1700 block of Main.

2:12 p.m. – Cameron Michael Wark, 29, arrested on Linn County warrant for failure to appear on original charge of possession of meth and new charge of misdemeanor possession of meth, 3rd and Highway 228. Cited and released.

3:22 p.m. – Caller reported her phone stolen, 300 W. Holley Road, Stonebrook Apartments. Report taken.

3:53 p.m. – Christopher Kirt E. Kaufman, 28, arrested on Sweet Home warrant for failure to comply on original charge of second-degree theft, Corvallis warrant for failure to appear on original charges of driving under the influence and reckless driving, Lebanon warrant for contempt of court and probation violation and Linn County supervisory warrant for third-degree assault and third-degree escape, 300 W. Holley Road, Stonebrook Apartments. Transported to Linn County Jail.

5:28 p.m. – Caller reported six phones ordered on the caller’s account, 600 block of 2nd. Report taken.

9:56 p.m. – Caller reported a power line was sparking, 24th and Long. Pacific Power responded to repair the line.

10:47 p.m. – Caller reported a male camped out by the garbage cans, 1234 Main St., Downtown Lounge. Officer advised the male of the complaint. He packed up his belongings and left the area.

11:01 p.m. – Caller reported a wire down, 1100 block of Nandina. Wire was most likely a telephone line. Caller advised to keep himself and his family away from it until it is fixed.

Feb. 25

12:10 a.m. – Renee Cherie Godell, 57, cited for failure to furnish proof of insurance, 400 block of Maple.

12:35 p.m. – Police and medics responded to 45500 block of Sunnyside Road for a female victim of domestic violence who had been hit on the head and was bleeding. She was standing out in the snow with few clothes on. The male that hit her may have been chasing her and may have been mental. No sign of suspect. Female transported to hospital.

1:27 a.m. – Caller reported a black dog seemed lost and cold, Main and Highway 228. Officer unable to locate.

6:47 a.m. – Caller reported a tree down across Long Street, 3200 block. Officer located a large branch down across the westbound lane. Public Works notified.

7:57 a.m. – Caller reported that a male who was not supposed to contact her or her daughter was sending them Facebook messages, 400 block of Oak Terrace. Report taken.

8:17 a.m. – Caller reported a wire low across the roadway, 200 block of Osage. Officer responded. It was a communications line 4 to 5 feet above the ground. Comcast notified.

8:28 a.m. – Caller reported a line down on her husband’s pickup, 3100 block of Long. Officer responded. The line was down on several pickups. It was wrapped around some power lines. Comcast notified.

9:04 a.m. – Roxanne Bode, 45, arrested on Sweet Home warrant for failure to comply on original charge of second-degree criminal trespass, Salem.

10:45 a.m. – Caller reported power lines hanging across the street, 100 block of Nandina. Officer responded. Wire was a cable line, and Comcast fixed it prior to officer arrival.

11:30 a.m. – Caller reported a cable line and possibly a power line down and it appeared people had been driving over the cable line. Public Works and Comcast advised.

11:51 a.m. – Caller reported trees down in the westbound lanes, 3200 block of Main. Officer responded. A tree had fallen all the way across the road. Public Works removed the tree.

12:27 p.m. – Deputy drove Highway 20 from the junction and located a semi truck that had slid from the road. The driver said he had food and water and would wait for a tow. Deputy also located two families stuck behind downed trees and escorted them down.

12:50 p.m. – Caller reported a two-vehicle crash, Old Hufford and Quartzville. Report taken. No citations. No injuries.

1:45 p.m. – A single vehicle slid into a guardrail at the intersection of Foster Dam Road and North River Road during the snow storm. Minimal damage if any to the guardrail. The vehicle was significantly damaged. No injuries.

2:46 p.m. – Deputy located Consumers Power line truck that had slid from the roadway on Marks Ridge during the snowstorm, 43000 block of Marks Ridge. The lineman was trying to get to Ridgway Road to restore power. Deputy assisted the driver back onto the road. Two other pickups became stuck near the same corner.

9:14 p.m. – Stacie Mortenson, 48, cited for driving while suspended, failure to obey a traffic control device and improper display of registration stickers in a two-vehicle crash.

Feb. 24

7:13 p.m. – A 15-year-old male cited for minor in possession of tobacco, 1800 block of Cedar.

9:33 p.m. – Stephanie Lee Suzanne Lainus, 24, cited for speeding, 57-45, 4800 block of Main.
