1:03 a.m. – Caller reported that a car drove by slowly, turned around, came back and was parked with its lights off, 1100 block of 38th. Officer contacted the occupants, who were trying to pull wifi. Officer advised them to move on.
May 12
11:02 a.m. – Caller reported that someone tried to pry open the garage door, 3100 block of Main. Report taken. Damage valued at $30.
11:41 a.m. – Heather Dean Church, 52, arrested on Sweet Home warrant for failure to comply on original charge of second-degree criminal trespass, 1950 Main St., Sweet Home Police Department. Cited and released.
3:25 p.m. – Caller reported three tool bags were stolen from his truck during the night, 1800 block of Vine. Report taken. Loss valued at $1,785.58.
6:03 p.m. – Caller reported that a fence had been taken down and when he returned after being gone all day, the fence had been put back up blocking access to the caller’s property, 4500 block of Airport Lane. Officer talked to both parties, who dispute where the property line is located. Rubbish had been left on the caller’s property and is to be kept off of the caller’s property.
8:41 p.m. – Caller reported a male tore a mirror off of the caller’s car, 4800 block of Main. Report taken. Damage valued at $30.
11:15 p.m. – Caller reported a female sprayed the caller’s son’s girlfriend’s car, 900 block of Poplar. Report taken.
May 11
8:11 a.m. – Caller reported a stray dog showed up at her house, 3500 block of Flannigan. Animal returned to owner, who was warned for dog at large.
11:23 a.m. – Caller reported her phone stolen, 1540 Main St., Safeway. Report taken. Loss valued at $100.
12:56 p.m. – Caller tracked his iPhone to a residence in Sweet Home, 900 block of 13th. When he asked the resident to give it back, the resident would not. Officer responded. Investigation continuing.
2:36 p.m.- Ryan Joseph Hutchinson, 31, arrested for second-degree criminal mischief, 4800 block of Main. Cited and released. Caller had reported a male was about to attack his father with a hammer.
3:30 p.m. – Caller reported a single-vehicle crash with minor injuries, 41900 block of North River. Report taken.
6:09 p.m. – Caller reported domestic violence, 27000 block of High Deck Road. Report taken.
9:35 p.m. – Brandon James Watkins, 20, cited for speeding, 62 mph in a 45-mph zone, Main and 44th.
11:45 p.m. – Caller reported a neighbor’s dog had been barking for a half hour and keeping the caller awake, 900 block of 7th. Officer contacted the owner, who was to take the dog inside.
10:03 p.m. – Caller reported a neighbor built a fence on his property and posted “no trespassing” signs, 4500 block of Airport Lane. Officer moved the fence and left a business card for the neighbor to contact Sweet Home Police Department.
May 10
10:11 a.m. – Mitchell Colton Jackson, 37, arrested on Lane County warrants for three counts of failure to appear and one count of failure to appear on original charge of delivering marijuana within 1,000 feet of a school, Main and 9th. Transported to Linn County Jail.
10:18 a.m. – Caller reported that a male threw water on him while he was riding his bicycle, 15th and Long. Officer contacted the caller, who wanted the other party counseled. Officer contacted the other party by phone later and counseled him for his actions.
12:47 p.m. – Caller reported a small dog in a car with no ventilation, 621 Main St., Thriftway. Officer checked the area. Unable to locate.
12:55 p.m. – Caller reported a group of transients camped out in the City Hall parking lot blocking cars from parking. Office contacted two males who moved their belongings.
2:27 p.m. – Caller reported a package was stolen from her porch, 500 block of Juniper. Report taken. Loss valued at $50.
3:38 p.m. – Caller reported a neighbor was yelling at him, 1400 block of 53rd. Officer responded and contacted both parties. Nothing criminal. Parties agreed to remain separate. Information forwarded to city attorney.
4:29 p.m. – Alexander Michael Maybee, 23, cited for no license, and Heather Nicole Matney (Hopper), 25, arrested on Linn County Justice Court warrant for failure to appear on a citation; Benton County warrant for possession of meth and offensive littering; Sweet Home warrant for failure to appear on original charges of second-degree theft, fourth-degree assault and first-degree criminal trespass, Wagon Wheel manufactured home park. Matney cited and released.
5:03 p.m. – Caller reported a theft, 3041 Main St., Hoy’s Hardware. Report taken.
5:46 p.m. – Neil David Vanepps, 30, arrested on Lebanon warrant for probation violation on original charge of third-degree theft and a new charge of third-degree theft, 2200 block of Long St. Cited and released.
7:54 p.m. – Robert Norman Jaques, 37, arrested by Oregon State Police on Sweet Home warrant for failure to comply on original charge of harassment.
8:13 p.m. – David Gruwell, 52, cited and released in field on Albany warrants for failure to appear on original charges of first-degree criminal trespass and second-degree criminal trespass, 15th and Long.
10:20 p.m. – Caller reported a disturbance, 1100 block of 38th. Officer responded and determined it was a family dispute with mutual combat between brothers. Information forwarded to city attorney.
10:56 p.m. – Caller reported that a male was hitting a dog, 1400 block of 22nd. Officer responded and spoke with the male, who said the dog keeps wrapping its tether around a tree. The dog did not appear to be injured, and the subject was not in violation of the tether law.
May 9
10:07 a.m. – A 16-year-old juvenile referred to Juvenile Department for minor in possession of marijuana, 1641 Long St., Sweet Home High School.
1:23 p.m. – Caller reported a female transient camping in the area and refusing to leave when asked, Husky Field. Officer checked the area. Unable to locate.
1:40 p.m. – Caller reported that a neighbor’s dog is left out all day and it did not have food or water, 1300 block of Quince. Officer responded. Dog appeared to be fine. Officer contacted the owner by phone. The owner advised that the dog is given water but knocks it over.
5:27 p.m. – Caller reported that a male against whom she has a restraining order drove by her house, 1000 block of Nandina. Report taken.
6:22 p.m. – Caller reported a dog in a vehicle with the windows all the way up, 2414 Main St., Dollar Tree. Officer responded. Only one vehicle parked there that matched the description. It did not have a a dog inside it.
6:48 p.m. – Michael Housworth, 29, arrested for driving while suspended and reckless driving, 1600 block of Long. Cited and released. Vehicle impounded. Caller had reported a vehicle hitting a power pole.
8:34 a.m. – Janette Staten, 48, cited for failure to renew registration, South Fork.
May 8
3:51 a.m. – Ryan Dale Magee, 42, arrested on Sweet Home warrant for failure to appear on original charge of second-degree disorderly conduct, Redmond.
9:45 a.m. – Keith Andrew Blondin, 32, cited for driving while suspended, driving uninsured and following too closely in three-vehicle crash, 13th and Main. No injuries. Vehicle impounded.
10:09 a.m. – Abraham John Woosley, 25, turned himself in on Sweet Home warrant for failure to comply on original charge of misdemeanor driving while suspended, 1950 Main St., Sweet Home Police Department. Cited and released.
3:25 p.m. – Caller found a syringe in the parking lot, 890 18th Ave., Sweet Home Boys and Girls Club. Officer disposed of syringe.
4:03 p.m. – Caller reported juveniles smoking tobacco, Pleasant Valley Boat Ramp. Office responded. The only one with tobacco was 18 years old. Officer seized a marijuana pipe located on the ground.
4:23 p.m. – Caller reported a neighbor’s dog attacked her dog, 1200 block of 23rd. The victim was not injured. Officer contacted both parties. Information noted.
4:58 p.m. – Caller found two syringes, 400 block of Main. Officer located and disposed of them.
5:29 p.m. – Nathan Daniel Brown, 44, arrested by Oregon State Police on Sweet Home warrant for failure to comply on original charge of second-degree theft.
6:57 p.m. – Breanna Marie Mansell, 25, arrested on Sweet Home warrant for failure to comply on original charge of third-degree theft, West Linn.
7:52 p.m. – Caller reported a homeless female left her belongings at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints after she was asked to leave, 1155 22nd Ave. Caller believed she may return later to camp out. Officer responded. The female was not at the location. Officer left a business card and note requesting she vacate the location. Officer to follow up throughout the night.
9:25 p.m. – Jeremy Michael Hicks, 38, arrested on Sweet Home warrant for failure to comply on original charge of third-degree theft, Lebanon.
May 7
1:54 a.m. – Peter Robert Piazza, 35, arrested on Sweet Home warrant for failure to comply on original charge of second-degree animal neglect, Cottage Grove.
9:06 a.m. – Caller reported a llama running loose at the apartments, 300 W. Holley Road, Stone-brook Apartments. Officer responded. The animal was contained in a yard where the homeowner agreed to keep it until the owner is located.
10:28 a.m. – Carrie Lynn Whitten, 37, arrested on state warrant for parole violation and a new charge of unauthorized use of a motor vehicle, and Joshua David Taylor, 21, arrested on Linn County warrant for failure to appear on original charge of delivery of heroin and a new charge of unauthorized use of a motor vehicle, 621 Main St., Thriftway. Caller had reported seeing a vehicle she had reported stolen. Stolen vehicle recovered.
10:36 a.m. – Caller reported that someone got hold of her Social Security number and bank account information, 300 block of Mountain View. Information noted.
11:38 a.m. – Caller found a dog on Brush Creek Road. Placed in kennel. Animal Control notified.
12:21 p.m. – Officer assisted firefighters with a large brush fire that most likely was caused by a camp fire, Green River and Clark Mill.
1:09 p.m. – Kendra Lynne Montoya, 21, cited and released in field on Sweet Home warrant for failure to appear on original charge of third-degree theft and Lebanon warrant for failure to appear on a criminal citation, 15th and Long.
1:19 p.m. – Caller reported that someone stole her wheelchair, 1100 block of 42nd. Report taken. Loss valued at $150.
5:05 p.m. – Caller reported a pig running loose in the alleyway, 800 block of 4th. Officer responded. Animal was not a danger. Nearby residents to try to contain it and post a photo on social media.
May 6
10:03 a.m. – Caller reported that a neighbor is continuing to harass her, and a second caller reported a disturbance in the area, 1200 block of 23rd. Officer responded. Information forwarded to city attorney.
10:59 a.m. – Skylar James Samson, 29, turned himself in on Sweet Home warrant for failure to comply on original charge of second-degree forgery, 1950 Main St., Sweet Home Police Department. Cited and released.
12:22 p.m. – Caller reported a neighbor’s dog was loose and it’s an ongoing issue, 1100 block of Poplar. Office warned the owner for dog at large.
1:54 p.m. – A male turned in a license plate. The plate was from a vehicle reported stolen out of Salem. Placed in found property.
3:33 p.m. – Eight individuals from Skyline Security applied for a peddler’s permit.
5:32 p.m. – Dale Bryan Snyder, 63, cited on Sweet Home warrant for two counts of negotiating a bad check, Curry County.
5:33 p.m. – Caller reported that someone stole two gallons of fuel, 1600 block of Fir. Report taken. Loss valued at $50.
6:03 p.m. – Lester Lee Hendrix, 44, cited on Sweet Home warrants for failure to appear on two original charges of misdemeanor driving while suspended and failure to comply on original charge of hit and run, Marion County.
