May 15

12:01 a.m. – Caller reported a neighbor’s dogs had been barking for hours, unusual behavior, 1200 block of Nandina. Caller was worried about the welfare of the neighbor. Officer spoke with another neighbor who advised the female was on vacation and has someone checking on the dogs.

2:56 a.m. – Elbert Samuel Hackworth, 57, arrested for third-degree theft, criminal trespass and interfering with a police officer, 621 Main St., Thriftway. Cited and released. Caller had reported a male removing items from the loading dock.

7:35 a.m. – Officer found a bike in Upper Sankey Park. Placed in found property.

9:37 a.m. – Traffic control lights weren’t working, Highway 20 and Highway 228. Officers directed traffic until Public Works put up stop signs. Pacific Power responded and reset the lights.

1:44 p.m. – Christopher James Bacorn-Renoud, 24, arrested for harassment and strangulation, 1241 23rd Ave. Transported to Linn County Jail. Multiple callers had reported a disturbance and a female collapsing in the parking lot.

May 14

12:01 a.m. – Landon Frank Gerard, 40, arrested on Sweet Home warrant for failure to appear on original charge of third-degree criminal mischief, Portland. Cited and released.

10:27 a.m. – James Robert Warrington, 37, and Louis Anthony Carreiro, 52, cited for consuming alcohol in a public place, Weddle Bridge.

10:47 a.m. – Steven Dale Bergevin, 27, cited and released in field on Lebanon warrant for contempt of court on original charge of driving under the influence, Weddle bridge.

10:56 a.m. – Andrew Benton Erickson, 45, cited and released in field on Lebanon warrant for second-degree theft, 1540 Main St., Safeway.

11:08 a.m. – Christopher Thomas Meredith, 28, arrested on Linn County warrant for probation violation on original charge of unauthorized use of a vehicle and Sweet Home warrant for failure to appear on original charge of second-degree theft, 15th and Main. Transported to Linn County Jail.

3:13 p.m. – Caller reported a vehicle on fire, 4100 block of Osage. Officer responded and was able to extinguish fire.

9:59 p.m. – Stormy Allison Batchelor, 30, arrested on Linn County Justice Court warrant for contempt of court and Lebanon warrant for failure to appear on original charge of second-degree theft, 1540 Main St., Safeway. Cited and released.

11:42 p.m. – Caller reported a female was bitten by a dog, 1600 block of 13th. The bite occurred in the county. Referred to Linn County Sheriff’s Office.

May 13

12:24 a.m. – Crystal Amber Allen, 31, cited for driving while suspended and driving uninsured, east of the west city limits. Oregon State Police had passed on a traffic complaint about a silver minivan moving at an erratic rate of speed and unable to maintain lane. Vehicle impounded.

12:37 a.m. – Caller reported a neighbor’s dog constantly barking, 900 block of 23rd. Officer responded. Dog was barking. Officer unable to contact anyone at the residence but would continue to patrol through the night.

9:26 a.m. – Caller reported finding property that did not belong to her in the trunk of her vehicle, 3224 Main St., South Fork trailer park. Officer placed items in found property.

10:12 a.m. – Caller reported a theft, 621 Main St., Thriftway. Report taken. Loss valued at $132.72.

11:52 a.m. – Carrie Ann Giles, 35, arrested for second-degree criminal trespass, 1234 Main St., Downtown Lounge. Cited and released.

1:18 p.m. – Caller reported a sick possum, 1600 block of 18th. Caller was afraid it would bite a child. Officer responded, located and dispatched the wounded possum. Public Works notified to pick up the animal.

1:55 p.m. – Caller reported a male stealing several packages of meat, 1540 Main St., Safeway. Report taken. Loss valued at $31.

4:22 p.m. – Mallory Marie Shirley, 25, arrested for fraudulent use of a credit card, third-degree theft and computer crime, 4975 Locust Court. Cited and released. Caller had reported her daughter using her debit card and taking $80 from her bank account.

May 12

9:22 a.m. – Kenneth George Adair II, 48, cited for driving while suspended and driving uninsured, Highway 20 at city limits.

9:48 a.m. – Andrew Christopher Jones, 20, arrested on Sweet Home warrant for failure to appear on original charge of third-degree theft, Prineville. Cited and released.

10:28 a.m. – Code enforcement officer reported a trailer parked in the street and blocking the view, 1200 block of 46th.

11:14 a.m. – Caller found a cell phone charger, Fifth and Elm. Placed in found property.

11:36 a.m. – Caller reported a dump truck losing a wheel, Highway 20 in The Narrows west of Sweet Home. Officer responded and contacted the driver. The truck was stopped off the road. The officer stood by for traffic control until a tow truck could arrive.

1:02 p.m. – Caller found a set of keys in front of the Sweet Home Fire Hall. Placed in found property.

2:04 p.m. – Suzanne Marie Smith, 35, cited and released in field for third-degree theft and Linn County Justice Court warrant for contempt of court, 1540 Main St., Safeway.

3:13 p.m. – Caller reported his garbage can was kicked over and broken and mail was taken out of a mailbox, 1300 block of Nandina. Report taken.

5:04 p.m. – Dallas Andrew Samson, 33, cited and released in field on Linn County warrant for probation violation, 1540 Main St., Safeway.

6:22 p.m. – Caller reported an egg thrown at his vehicle, 500 block of Oak Terrace. Report taken. No apparent damage.

6:31 p.m. – Caller reported an injury accident involving a truck and bicyclist, Airport and 49th. Report taken.

7:45 p.m. – Melissa Jill Whitmore, 27, cited and released in field on Linn County Justice Court warrant for contempt of court, 18th and Tamarack.

10:15 p.m. – Linda Eveleene Kennedy, 25, arrested on Linn County Jusice Court warrant for probation violation and Lebanon warrant for contempt of court on original charge of second-degree theft, 4833 Main St. Cited and released.

May 11

1:07 a.m. – Zachary Gene Johnson, 26, arrested on Sweet Home warrant for failure to appear on original charge of second-degree theft, Linn County. Transported to Linn County Jail.

8:27 a.m. – Caller reported the theft of her son’s iPhone, 1641 Long St., Sweet Home High School. Report taken. Loss valued at $560.

9:13 a.m. – Caller reported a male continuing to drive an orange Mercury Cougar through the area at a high rate of speed, 1600 block of Elm. The caller threw a rock at the vehicle, and now the subject drives through the area and throws eggs at the caller’s vehicles. Report taken.

10:11 a.m. – Caller reported that someone entered her house and stole medication, 1400 block of 13th. Report taken.

10:36 a.m. – Caller found a dog on the highway, milepost 49 Highway 20. Officer placed dog in kennel.

11:22 a.m. – Caller reported sod and grass dumped in a ditch, 4600 block of Airport. Referred to code enforcement.

11:39 a.m. – Caller dropped off items left at Sweet Home Post Office. Placed in found property.

2:09 p.m. – Marie Therese Ramos, 35, arrested on Sweet Home warrant for failure to comply on original charge of third-degree theft, Lebanon. Cited and released.

3:44 p.m. – Christine Lorraine Reigstad, 48, arrested on Sweet Home warrant for failure to appear on original charge of misdemeanor driving while suspended, Albany. Transported to Linn County Jail.

3:46 p.m. – Caller reported a travel trailer parked for more than a month, 15th Avenue. Referred to code enforcement.

4:37 p.m. – Jared Michael Elkins, 21, arrested on Sweet Home warrant for failure to appear on original charge of third-degree criminal mischief, Corvallis.

6:13 p.m. – Caller reported a cat coming into her yard, 1200 block of 45h. Cat was barely alive. Officer dispatched cat.

6:24 p.m. – Caller reported a neighbor cussing out children playing with a ball. The neighbor popped the ball and gave it back to the children. Officer responded. It was a misunderstanding. Officer advised them to talk to management and come up with a solution.

8:41 p.m. – Caller reported that a business will not let him use his food stamp card because he is a homosexual, 5400 block of Main. Officer contacted all involved. It was a misunderstanding between the caller and the owner of the business. The caller was intoxicated and was trespassed from the business.

11:08 p.m. – Theresa Christine Alberts, 27, arrested on Lebanon warrant for failure to comply on original charge of second-degree theft and Sweet Home warrants for failure to appear on original charge of third-degree theft and second-degree criminal trespass and cited for driving while suspended, 444 Maple Lane. Cited and released.

May 10

12:10 a.m. – John George Ginn, 50, cited for driving while suspended, failure to drive within lane and driving uninsured, 1500 block of Long.

12:31 a.m. – John George Ginn, 50, cited for driving while suspended and driving uninsured, 1439 Main St. Vehicle impounded.

1:38 a.m. – John George Ginn, 50, arrested for first-degree criminal trespass and possession of meth, 1890 Kalmia St., apartment 11. Cited and released. Caller reported a male who had been trespassed at the location pushing his way in.

10:50 a.m. – Officer took custody of a stray dog, 1950 Main St., Sweet Home Police Department. Officer planned to attempt to return the dog to its owner.

11 a.m. – Caller reported that someone broke into his vehicle, 900 block of Dogwood. Report taken. Stolen property valued at $770.

11:20 a.m. – Caller voluntarily surrendered a firearm, 1600 block of Dogwood. Officer seized firearm for safekeeping.

12:32 p.m. – Caller reported losing her wallet with all of her credit cards, 4400 block of Live Oak. Report taken.

12:35 p.m. – Caller reported a woman back in the driveway after being trespassed, 1400 block of Elm. Report taken.

1:08 p.m. – Tracey Renee Shaffer, 46, arrested for second-degree criminal trespass, 40181 Hwy. 228. Cited and released.

2:48 p.m. – Caller was on his neighbor’s property, 45600 block of Sunnyside. The neighbor told him to stay off the property or he would shoot him. After talking to all parties, a deputy told the caller he was trespassed from the neighbor’s property. No crime.

3:45 p.m. – Caller reported an Internet scam, 1700 block of Long. She provided information to the scammer, and she wanted to file a report. Officer provided options to the caller.

6:56 p.m. – Caller reported female who had been assaulted by her husband showed up at her house, 33200 block of Berlin. Caller did not believe the woman needed medical assistance. A deputy took a report but was unable to find the husband, as he had fled.

8:46 p.m. – Thomas Hernandez, 52, arrested on Clackamas County warrant for possession of meth, 1340 47th Ave. Transported to Linn County Jail.

8:51 p.m. – Jason Lydell Lingar, 39, arrested for two counts of harassment and second-degree disorderly conduct and a Linn County warrant for failure to appear on original charge of first-degree criminal mischief, 1200 block of Nandina. Transported to Linn County Jail. Caller had reported a male subject coming into her house and attacking her. Her dog bit the male on the leg and face.

11:14 p.m. – Anthony Allen Victor, 31, cited and released in field on Albany warrant for failure to comply on original charge of second-degree theft, 4639 Main St.

May 9

7:57 a.m. – Caller reported a vehicle sitting on blocks on the street, 1400 block of First. Officer advised owner and advised of city ordinance and safety considerations. Vehicle to be moved.

8:13 a.m. – Caller reported tall weeds and grass, 4500 block of Mahogany. Referred to code enforcement.

10:43 a.m. – Caller reported graffiti and other damage, 3200 block of Long. Report taken. Cost of damage estimated at $10.

1:15 p.m. – Alexis Kay Johnson, 18, cited for minor in possession of marijuana, 877 14th Ave., Sankey Park.

2:32 p.m. – A bicycle was found on the ground approximately 200 yards uphill from Quartzville Road. It did not show as stolen, so deputies did not know where it came from. Report taken.

3:24 p.m. – Oregon State Police reported a hit and run on Highway 228. The male driver came back, apologized, picked up his bumper and left again. Officer responded to the city limits but was unable to locate the subject.

4:37 p.m. – Heather Rose Zeibert, 20, arrested for harassment, 4207 Main St. Caller had reported her neighbor punching her in the face.

5:25 p.m. – Caller reported his neighbor’s dog came into his yard and was growling at him, 4500 block of Long. The dog also went after another neighbor’s dog. Officer unable to contact the owner. The caller would try to resolve the issue.

9:05 p.m. – Jacob Evans Tanner Watkins, 20, arrested on Sweet Home warrant for failure to comply on original charge of third-degree theft, Lebanon.

9:55 p.m. – Karen Rene Davis, 48, cited for driving while suspended and driving uninsured, 4700 block of Main.

10:33 p.m. – Caller reported that a male with an active restraining order was at her house trying to return her belongings, 300 E. Holley Road. Report taken. Investigation continuing.

10:34 p.m. – Carrie Ann Giles, 35, arrested for second-degree criminal trespass, 1101 Main St. Cited and released.

May 8

9:44 a.m. – Caller reported that on the Whitcomb Creek Arm on the M&M line that there are people camping illegally.

3:28 p.m. – Caller reported subjects walking out of the store without paying for groceries, 1540 Main St., Safeway. Report taken. Loss valued at $15.99.

5:41 p.m. – Caller reported a male subject camping in a tent, Shea Point. The subject also had a fire pit and trash lying around. Officer spoke to the subject earlier in the day and then just prior to the complaint. The officer advised the subject he could not camp at the location. The subject took down the tent.

6:51 p.m. – Caller reported a cow walking in the road. Caller was heading home and did not stop. The owner was found and warned for livestock at large, 29800 block of Fairview.

8:18 p.m. – Ellen Reilly Collins, 20, cited for speeding, 39-25, 1300 block of Main.

May 7

10:42 p.m. – Single vehicle rollover, milepost 22, Highway 20. The driver fell asleep at the wheel and lost control of the vehicle. The driver was transported to the hospital by ambulance. Report taken.

May 6

7:28 a.m. – Caller reported a large black cow walking down the middle of the road, Old Holley.

3:57 p.m. – Caller said her family members were taking items from the residence. The estate is owned by the caller and her deceased brother, 3000 block of Fairview.

6:28 p.m. – Caller reported that his family member is harassing him. She reported that people were taking things from the caller’s residence, 3000 block of Fairview.

8:22 p.m. – Caller’s husband recently died. He was on hospice and there were narcotics in the home. They have been stolen. She also reported that her car was vandalized, 3000 block of Fairview. Report taken.

May 5

12:40 p.m. – At the same address as above, caller reported a bag of trash about a quarter mile south of his residence near the fence.

May 4

2:52 p.m. – Caller reported she owns a property with her brother who died the night before. She said a family member was on the property taking things, 3000 block of Fairview.

6:38 p.m. – Family members were on a property threatening the caller, 3000 block of Fairview.

7:28 p.m. – A car crashed into the ditch. There was no property damage and the driver left before deputies arrived, 26400 block of Old Holley.
