12:42 a.m. – Five callers reported loud explosions or gunshots, Oak Terrace and 3rd. Officer checked the area. Unable to locate. Officer spoke with several residents who believed it was fireworks. One caller said she did not believe it was fireworks and asked the officer to check the area better.
May 17
3:50 a.m. – John Andrew Mance, 32, arrested on Sweet Home warrant for failure to comply on original charge of second-degree criminal mischief, Clackamas County.
8:36 a.m. – A male subject taken into protective custody on a police officer hold and transported to Samaritan Lebanon Community Hospital for mental evaluation, 500 block of 6th. Caller had reported that when he woke up, a male was sitting in his recliner. The male had a dog with him. The caller kicked him out. He was last seen headed toward Long Street. Officer responded. Caller did not want to pursue charges.
9:17 a.m. – Caller reported that a neighbor’s back door had been open since the previous day and dogs were coming and going in the fenced yard, 1200 block of 2nd. Officer unable to reach anyone at the residence. The caller said the residents have only lived there a short time. Vehicles that were normally there were not there. The dog in the yard was aggressive. Caller to keep an eye on the residence.
9:20 a.m. – Caller reported a bicycle stolen, 1937 Main St., Dollar General. Report taken.
10:19 a.m. – Caller reported a bicycle stolen within the previous couple of days, 1000 block of Alder. Report taken. Loss valued at $150.
10:30 a.m. – Caller reported that her IRS check was mailed on May 8 and she had not received it yet, 1000 block of 13th. Information noted. Investigation continuing.
12:01 p.m. – Caller reported that a cable that crosses the driveway had been cut, 2245 Long St., Advanced Family Eye Care. Report taken. Damage valued at $15.
12:14 p.m. – Caller reported male was beating on a mailbox and yelling at vehicles as they passed by, 2200 block of Main. Officer contacted the male, who was fixing the door on the mailbox and also using it as a drum.
12:36 p.m. – Donald Rodgers, 56, arrested for second-degree disorderly conduct, third-degree escape, resisting and assaulting a police officer, 2300 block of Main. Transported to Linn County Jail. Multiple callers had reported a male jumping off a fence and running into traffic.
1:36 p.m. – Justin Wayne Seibert arrested on Sweet Home warrant for third-degree theft, Linn County.
4:10 p.m. – Jason Avery, 27, cited and released in field for two counts of harassment. One caller reported that a male hit two juveniles. A second caller reported juveniles were harassing his neighbor and the second caller ended up going outside, telling them to leave, hitting one and then pushing the other.
5:15 p.m. – Caller reported her daughter’s iPhone had been stolen a couple of days earlier, 1900 block of Willow. Report taken. Loss valued at $145.
8:53 p.m. – Caller reported a dog running loose and that the owner doesn’t care for it, 1530 Tamarack St., Tamarack Ridge Estates. Dog returned to owner. Owner warned for dog at large.
9:50 p.m. – Allen Dale Ensley, 31, cited and released in field on Douglas County warrant for failure to appear on original charge of unauthorized entry into a motor vehicle and Linn County warrant for failure to appear on original charge of possession of methamphetamine, 4700 block of Long.
May 16
9:05 a.m. – Deputy located an elderly male pulled into the dam parking area with a flat tire, 45000 block of Quartzville. Two deputies assisted him with changing the tire.
10:34 a.m. – Caller reported that someone purchased a phone and bundle through Walmart Online and the suspect was listed as an alternate person for pickup at Lebanon Walmart. Report taken.
10:37 a.m. – Deputy contacted a transient male camping in a fifth-wheel trailer at milepost 21.5 on Quartzville Road. The male had stayed beyond the 14-day limit. He was advised that he may not reside on federal land. The site was very littered, and the male was uncooperative.
11:30 a.m. – Deputy contacted a male camped at milepost 22 on Quartzville Road and sent him on his way.
11:33 a.m. – Caller requested that damage to fence be documented, 5300 block of Main. It appears that someone continues to jump over the fence, damaging it. Information noted.
11:37 a.m. – Deputy located a travel trailer near milepost 18.5 on Quartzville. The trailer had no registration and had been there more than 14 days. No one has been at the site to contact. Deputy tagged the trailer to advise the occupant to vacate the site.
11:38 a.m. – Police took one subject into protective custody on a police officer hold and transported the subject to Samaritan Lebanon Community Hospital for mental evaluation, 3700 block of Green River. Caller had reported her sons were physically fighting and one had a knife.
11:43 a.m. – Deputy contacted a small group camped near milepost 16 on Quartzville Road. The site was clearly marked in several locations, “No Camping.” The group was advised it was for day use only. The group was cooperative and agreed to move on right away.
1:18 p.m. – Leslie Bone, 52, cited and released in field on Linn County warrant for probation violation on original charge of possession of methamphetamine, 1600 block of Main. Caller had reported a male going through trash cans. The caller said she told the male to leave and then he started harassing the caller.
3:25 p.m. – Officer assisted with prescription delivery, 1540 Main St., Safeway.
7:23 p.m. – Clifford Stoner Jr., 47, arrested for driving under the influence, misdemeanor driving while suspended, reckless driving and recklessly endangering another person in a single-vehicle crash, 43800 block of Wiley Creek.
7:49 a.m. – Carrie Rose Lee, 35, cited and released on Marion County warrant for possession of heroin and Linn County Justice Court warrant for failure to appear on a citation, Midway area.
8:57 p.m. – Matthew Ian Nere, 21, cited for driving while suspended and driving uninsured, 12th and Osage.
9:19 p.m. – Caller reported a juvenile stole alcohol, 1540 Main St., Safeway. Report taken.
10:24 p.m. – Anthony Allen Ensley cited for driving while suspended and driving uninsured, 18th and Main.
May 15
2:25 a.m. – Caller caught someone on his property, 1600 block of Dogwood. The individual left on foot. Officer checked the area. Unable to locate the described individual.
9:37 a.m. – Caller reported items taken from residence during the previous week, 1200 block of 37th. Report taken. Loss valued at $165.
12:12 p.m. – Officer assisted with prescription delivery, 200 block of W. Holley.
12:27 p.m. – Caller reported finding a loose dog, Foster Lake Mall. Caller advised of COVID-19 precautions. Caller to hold onto dog while attempting to locate owner.
5:17 p.m. – Officer assisted with prescription delivery, 1540 Main St., Safeway.
9:58 p.m. – Brent Edwards Bowers, 23, cited and released in field on Lebanon warrant for probation violation on original charge of minor in possession of alcohol and Linn County warrant for failure to appear on a citation, 2400 block of Main. Caller had reported a male and female yelling at each other.
May 14
7:21 a.m. – Caller reported a theft that occurred on May 2, 621 Main St., Thriftway. Report taken. Loss valued at $12.99.
8:21 a.m. – Deputy located the driver of a vehicle that had run out of fuel, 41600 block of Upper Calapooia. He had walked a few miles in the rain to get to cell service. A short time later, his friend arrived, and the deputy helped them get the car going. The deputy gave them fuel from a gas can in his truck. It took a little more than four gallons to get enough for the car to start because it was leaning hard from pulling off at the edge of the road.
9:54 a.m. – Caller found items under her vehicle, 1200 block of 45th. Officer seized the property for disposal.
1:54 p.m. – Benjamin Reuben Pannier, 37, arrested on Sweet Home warrant for failure to appear on original charge of driving under the influence.
2:22 p.m. – Officer assisted with prescription delivery, 1300 block of Sunset.
2:31 p.m. – Caller reported a male came onto the porch and took a cell phone on May 12, 900 block of Birch. Report taken. Loss valued at $50.
4:02 p.m. – Caller reported a stray dog wandered onto her property, 3300 block of Long. Caller referred to Linn County Animal Control.
4:36 p.m. – Caller reported a license plate taken from a vehicle, 2200 block of Main. Report taken. Loss valued at $34.50.
6:33 p.m. – Caller reported a male, against whom she has a restraining order, had been contacting her via email, 1800 block of Ulex. Report taken.
6:58 p.m. – Caller fell victim to an Internet scam, 1700 block of Dogwood. Officer advised caller of options.

10:44 p.m. – Davy Anthony Phillips, 47, cited for unnecessary noise, 1900 block of 19th. Caller had reported her neighbor using a power saw.
11:12 p.m. – Skyler Steven Daniel Sills, 18, cited for no license, 2200 block of 23rd.

9:41 a.m. – Caller reported someone entered her vehicle, 100 block of 7th. Nothing was taken. Report taken.
9:59 a.m. – Caller reported a trailer stolen from a work site, 40300 block of Crawfordsville Drive. Report taken.
10:10 a.m. – Caller reported someone entered her vehicle and took a chainsaw, 800 block of 2nd. Report taken. Loss valued at $500.
10:43 a.m. – Caller reported a black Lab running into traffic, 1200 block of 1st. Officer responded. Dog returned home. Officer contacted the owner, who said she would make changes in the backyard to make it more secure.
11:16 a.m. – Caller reported her debit card was used in Sherwood, 600 block of 8th. Report taken. Caller had already been reimbursed.
4:31 p.m. – Probation officer reported that a client found a gun and ammo in the roadway, 1400 block of Westwood. Items seized.
10:56 p.m. – Caller reported that a male slapped her daughter, 4100 block of Main. Report taken for harassment and menacing.
11:33 p.m. – A 17-year-old male referred to Juvenile Department for harassment and released to parents, 12th and Long.
May 12
9:29 a.m. – Daniel Joseph Browand, 26, cited on Sweet Home warrant for failure to comply on original charge of third-degree theft, Snake River Correctional Insitution.
9:31 a.m. – Caller reported a male sleeping behind the Rio Theatre, 1439 Main St. Caller requested he be trespassed. Officer located and contacted a female and advised that she had been trespassed from the location.
10:03 a.m. – Caller reported a white Chevrolet van hit the neighbor’s fence and trash cans, 1200 block of 44th. Van last seen headed toward Main Street. Report taken. Officer left business cards with several residences. Several mailboxes were damaged.
10:11 a.m. – Gary Brown, 78, cited and released in field for hit and run, 24800 block of West Brush Creek.
12:51 p.m. – Caller reported that he sent a male a total of $1,900 for a firearm, 1200 block of Nandina. The last check was signed for on May 4, but the caller has been unable to reach the male since then. Referred to detective. Investigation continuing.
1:53 p.m. – Caller reported that a female provided her juvenile son with alcohol on May 8, 3100 block of Long. Report taken. Investigation continuing.
2:52 p.m. – Caller lost a wallet and then reported the caller was now having credit inquiries, 45200 block of Sunnyside. Report taken for fraud.
3:04 p.m. – Report taken for a single-vehicle crash, 45300 block of Highway 20. The driver was inexperienced. Driver had license for eight months. Operator was driving too fast for the conditions. The driver lost control on a sharp turn, rolled the truck onto the guardrail and then rolled back to tires. No injury. Vehicle towed. Report taken.
3:34 p.m. – Officer assisted with prescription pickup, 1540 Main St., Safeway.
3:58 p.m. – Caller reported a male setting up camp east of 933 Main St. Officer advised the male that he was trespassed. Male said he stopped there because of heavy rains.
4:29 p.m. – Deputy responded to a single-vehicle crash, 45300 block of Highway 20. Operator was going too fast for the conditions. The driver lost control of the car in the rain on a sharp turn and struck an embankment. Driver uninjured. Report taken.
4:58 p.m. – Caller reported a loaded log truck parked along the side of the road, 800 block of Mountain View. Officer contacted the owner, who said he would contact the driver and advise him not to park there.
8:25 a.m. – Caller reported a vacant house and real estate signs had been damaged several times in the previous couple of weeks, 600 block of 12th. Information noted.

9:58 a.m. – Steven Donald Ford, 56, turned himself in on Sweet Home warrant for failure to comply on original charge of harassment, 1950 Main St., Sweet Home Police Department. Cited and released from lobby.
11:03 a.m. – Kellie Hesson, 53, cited and released in field for second-degree criminal trespass, 621 Main St., Thriftway.
11:32 a.m. – Todd Buddy James Waterman, 37, cited on Sweet Home warrant for failure to comply on a criminal driving charge, Oregon Department of Corrections.
12:15 p.m. – Jamie Carpenter, 32, cited for driving while suspended, 18th and Long.
1:14 p.m. – Caller reported that a male stole an item, 610 Main St., Dan Dee Sales. Report taken. Loss valued at $5.99.
3:33 p.m. – Caller reported that it appeared someone cut the brake line in her vehicle, 4600 block of Main. Information noted at caller’s request.

5:50 p.m. – Caller reported someone was camped out in the doorway, 1045 Main St., Sweet Things Boutique. Officer responded. No one was at location, but officer located a male next door. Officer advised him to move along and warned him that if he left anything behind he could be cited for offensive littering.
6:29 p.m. – Robert Harp, 48, cited for driving while suspended and driving uninsured, Main and Pleasant Valley.
9:23 p.m. – Lawrence Patchin, 50, arrested for second-degree assault, unlawful use of a weapon and menacing, 43600 block of Wiley Creek.
