1:10 a.m. – Arne J. Gerard, 41, arrested on state Parole Board warrant, Linn County warrant for failure to appear on original charge of attempting to elude and a new charge of criminal mischief, 42200 block of Ames Creek Road.

10:52 a.m. – Caller reported that homeless people are taking over the caller’s property, moving in trailers and hooking up utilities, 3700 block of Long. Officer responded. Primarily a civil case. Report taken for second-degree criminal mischief, and a male there will be moving out.

1:04 p.m. – Heather Ellen Edge, 39, cited for keeping a dog as a public nuisance, 1400 block of 53rd.

1:58 p.m. – Caller found what looked like a bag of a controlled substance, 1118 Main St., O’Reilly’s. Seized for destruction.

2:24 p.m. – Caller reported a big black Lab sitting by the office, 805 Long St., Sweet Home Inn. Dog placed in kennel.

2:52 p.m. – Christopher Edge, 45, cited and released in field for harassment, and John Robert Kulbeth, 29, cited and released in field for second-degree criminal trespass, 1400 block of 53rd. Caller had reported a male jumping on the caller’s fence and taunting the caller. A second caller reported being assaulted.

5:23 p.m. – Caller reported a bicycle stolen, 605 Elm St., Oak Heights. Report taken. Loss valued at $100.

7:02 p.m. – Caller reported a stray dog wandering around Stone-brook Apartments, 300 W. Holley Road. Officer responded. Animal would not let anyone near it. It did not appear to be aggressive.

7:32 p.m. – Caller reported a fraudulent check cashed on the caller’s account, 1000 block of Pleasant Valley Road. Report taken. Loss valued at $769.

8:08 p.m. – Caller reported having the stray dog from the previous call on a leash, 100 block of Osage. Dog placed in kennel. Animal Control notified.

8:36 p.m. – Bryce Taylor Keenon, 22, arrested on Linn County warrant for probation violation on original charge of possession of meth and Albany warrant for failure to appear on original charge of third-degree theft, 1306 Main St. Transported to Linn County Jail.

9:35 p.m. – Joe Allen Wayne Wood, 29, cited on Sweet Home warrant for failure to appear on original charge of harassment, Albany. Transported to Linn County Jail.

10:41 p.m. – Caller reported she had a possum in her house, 600 block of 8th. Officer assisted the caller in getting the animal out of her house.

11:01 p.m. – Caller reported a frantic dog in a field, 1400 block of 42nd. Officer responded. Dog ran away when officer attempted to catch it.

May 25

8:39 a.m. – Caller reported a neighbor’s dogs had been barking since 6 a.m., 1400 block of 53rd. Code enforcement told the caller to record video and contact the police. Officer attempted contact with the owners. Dogs were inside. Officer left a business card requesting contact.

11:24 a.m. – A 9-1-1 dispatcher requested a police officer assist medics where a large explosion burned a person, 900 block of 13th. The person was injured by accident when pouring gasoline onto a backyard burn pile. Medics transported the subject to the hospital.

12:06 p.m. – James Ronald Rodman, 59, arrested on state warrant for parole violation, 1950 Main St., Sweet Home Police Department. Transported to Linn County Jail.

12:46 p.m. – Caller reported that a Coca-Cola delivery van struck his vehicle, 621 Main St., Thriftway. Report taken.

1:18 p.m. – Bryce Collin Spencer, 20, arrested on Linn County warrant for failure to appear on original charge of possession of meth and Linn County warrant for failure to appear on five original counts of second-degree criminal mischief and an original count of failure to appear, 265 Mountain View Road. Transported to Linn County Jail.

5:37 p.m. – Caller reported a mid-sized black dog running loose, 900 block of 23rd. Officer unable to locate.

7:21 p.m. – Anthony Fincher, 29, arrested for driving under the influence and recklessly endangering another person after crashing his vehicle with a passenger near Green Peter, 45000 block of Quartzville Road.

10:43 a.m. – Michell Dawn Slay, 31, arrested on Sweet Home warrant for failure to comply on original charge of second-degree disorderly conduct, Deschutes County.

May 24

6:08 a.m. – Sylvia Rodgers, 29, cited for driving uninsured in a two-vehicle crash involving a log truck, 1200 block of Main.

7:08 a.m. – Caller reported two big black Labs running loose, 3100 block of Main. Officer unable to locate.

9:49 a.m. – Caller reported a parked car hit by a semi and the semi left the location, 1200 block of Main. Report taken.

10:59 a.m. – Ladonna Gayle Bales, 43, arrested on Sweet Home warrant for failure to comply on original charge of third-degree theft, Lane County.

11:57 a.m. – Caller reported a cell phone stolen, 1100 block of 13th. Report taken. Loss valued at $300.

1:42 p.m. – Caller found marijuana, 1000 block of Long. Property seized for destruction.

2:14 p.m. – Caller reported his ex was using his debit card, 1428 Main St., Linn-Co Federal Credit Union. Report taken.

2:41 p.m. – Wayne Cole Howser, 43, arrested on Sweet Home warrant for failure to comply on original charge of attempting to elude, Albany.

3:08 p.m. – Anthony Allen Ensley, 36, arrested on Lebanon warrant for contempt of court on original charge of second-degree theft and probation violation and Sweet Home warrant for contempt of court on original charge of providing false information to a police officer, 1540 Main St., Safeway. Caller had reported two males physically fighting. Both warned for disorderly conduct.

3:40 p.m. – Caller reported that her boyfriend assaulted her, 1530 Tamarack St., Mountain Shadows. Report taken.

4:27 p.m. – Caller reported a single-vehicle crash, 47200 block of Quartzville. No injuries.

7:23 p.m. – Caller located two dogs, Marks Ridge. Placed in kennel. Linn County Sheriff’s Office notified.

10:08 p.m. – Jennifer Dodge, 44, cited for careless driving, 1540 Main St., Safeway.

May 23

12:49 a.m. – James Robert Warrington, 40, cited and released in field for second-degree criminal trespass, 1266 15th Ave., Wells Fargo. A second subject was issued a trespass warning.

3:18 a.m. – Caller found someone in his carport, 1800 block of Vine. The subject threw an object at the caller, striking the caller in the head, and left on foot. Report taken. Officer unable to locate the suspect.

7:29 a.m. – Caller reported a firearm denial, 1980 Main St., Bi-Mart. Investigation continuing.

10:34 a.m. – A 13-year-old juvenile referred to the Juvenile Department for fourth-degree assault, 880 22nd Ave., Sweet Home Junior High. Released to mother.

1:56 p.m. – Lisa Johnston, 44, cited for driving while suspended and driving uninsured, and Bryson Setzkorn, 30, arrested on Lebanon warrant for probation violation on original charge of third-degree theft, 1810 Main St., Main Street Market. Setzkorn cited and released. Vehicle impounded.

2:58 p.m. – Richard Kintzley, 30, arrested on Linn County warrant for failure to appear on possession of heroin and meth, 1951 12th Ave. Transported to Linn County Jail.

3:20 p.m. – Caller reported two dogs running in and out of traffic, 800 block of Terrace Lane. Office runable to contain the dogs. They returned to their owner’s yard. Owner advised.

3:22 p.m. – Caller reported a school bus driver located a dog in the roadway, Highway 228 and McQueen. Dog placed in kennel. Linn County Sheriff’s Office notified.

3:48 p.m. – Caller reported a male, against whom she has a restraining order, was at Bi-Mart where she was at, 1980 Main St. Officer responded. The male was not currently at the location. Report taken.

4:36 p.m. – Caller reported a male lying in the middle of the road, 1900 block of Willow. Officer contacted a male who was intoxicated. The male agreed to move out of the roadway.

5:22 p.m. – Caller reported a neighbor’s dog came into her residence and would like assistance returning it home, 800 block of 12th. Dog returned to owner.

11:48 p.m. – Caller reported people burning trash and it is an ongoing issue, 1800 block of Tamarack. Officer responded, advised the resident of the complaint and warned the resident for burning garbage. Fire extinguished.

May 22

8:04 a.m. – Caller found a bicycle, 2400 block of the railroad.

8:11 a.m. – Caller reported a school bag stolen from an unlocked vehicle, 4900 block of Mimosa. Report taken.

8:25 a.m. – Caller reported items taken from an unlocked vehicle, 1600 block of 13th. Report taken. Loss valued at $200.

12:54 p.m. – Caller reported a dog running loose near Highway 228 and Rowell Hill. Officer unable to locate.

1:04 p.m. – Ryan Hutchinson, 31, arrested on Linn County warrants for probation violation on original charge of possession of meth and a criminal citation, 4836 Main St. Transported to Linn County Jail.

1:37 p.m. – Ruth Robbins, 46, cited and released in field on Sweet Home warrant for failure to comply on original charge of third-degree theft, 1950 Main St., Sweet Home Police Department.

2:07 p.m. – Caller reported a male dropped a pile of clothes in front of a neighbor’s residence and kept walking into town, 100 block of Holley. Placed in found property.

3:15 p.m. – Callers reported a male going door to door and inquiring about roofing, Nandina and Evergreen. Officer advised the male he needed a peddler’s license.

3:44 p.m. – Caller reported his ex-wife took two of his handguns and pawned them, 1000 block of 13th. Report taken.

6:03 p.m. – Caller found a black Lab without tags, 800 block of Elm. Placed in kennel.

7:55 p.m. – Caller reported a blue SUV with New York plates parked for more than a week and a half with no one around, 1300 block of Sunset. Officer contacted the owner. The vehicle had mechanical issues, and the owner agreed to work at moving it off the street.

May 21

2:50 a.m. – Jeremy Ferebee, 40, arrested on two Linn County warrants for failure to appear on original charges of possession of meth, 48200 block of Cascadia Drive. Transported to Linn County Jail.

5:57 a.m. – Anna Rochelle House, 36, arrested on Sweet Home warrant for failure to comply on original charge of third-degree theft, Albany.

7:04 a.m. – Caller reported people camping in a van on the access road to the Water Treatment Plant. Officer located the van, but it was unoccupied. Officer left a voice message for the owner to contact Sweet Home Police Department.

11:32 a.m. – Caller reported a car without tags had been left for three days, 29th and Juniper. Tagged for removal.

12:02 p.m. – Caller reported a vape pen left in plain sight in a vehicle in the high school parking lot, 1641 Long St., Sweet Home High School. Officer contacted the owner of the vehicle. The owner said a friend left it in there. Officer unable to locate the owner of the vape pen. Vehicle owner counseled. Vape pen seized for destruction.

1:26 p.m. – Caller reported a male dumping trash and arguing with the caller when confronted, 4300 block of Osage. Officer contacted male, who was throwing stuff out of his van. The male put the stuff back in his van and left the area.

2:59 p.m. – John Thomas Gordon, 47, arrested on Sweet Home warrant for failure to appear on original charge of third-degree theft, Deschutes County.

4:32 p.m. – Dwayne Hill II, 58, cited for failure to use seatbelt, 22nd and Long.

6:51 p.m. – Caller reported that McDonald’s refused to give him the name of an employee who messed up his order, 2000 Main St. A caller from McDonald’s requested the male be trespassed. Officer trespassed the first caller, who did not agree with the trespass.

8:32 p.m. – Caller reported a male in front of McDonald’s, 2000 Main St., with a protest sign. Officer contacted the caller and advised that the male was not violating any laws. The caller was worried the male might become violent toward an employee. Officer stayed in the area and kept an eye on the male.

8:52 p.m. – Daniel Joseph Carrico, 35, arrested on Sweet Home warrant for failure to comply on contempt of court seeking punitive sanctions, Linn County.

10:13 p.m. – Caller reported a female sleeping outside, 2405 Main St., Circle K. Officer contacted the female, who moved along.

10:22 p.m. – Kevin Ray Porter, 49, arrested on Sweet Home warrant for failure to comply on original charge of second-degree criminal trespass, 12th and Main. Cited and released.

11:59 p.m. – Caller found a needle in the road, 1200 block of Tamarack. Officer disposed of needle.

May 20

7:48 a.m. – Deputy recovered a vehicle reported stolen out of Salem, 25500 block of Crescent Hill. Returned to owner.

12:57 p.m. – Joshua Kealohanui Leslie cited and released in field on Linn County warrant for failure to appear on original charge of possession of meth, 1300 block of Fir.

1:05 p.m. – Samantha Christine Mansell turned herself in on Sweet Home warrant for failure to comply on original charge of first-degree criminal trespass, 1950 Main St., Sweet Home Police Department. Cited and released.

2:19 p.m. – Jacqueline C. Edwards, 81, cited for unlawful lane change, Mobile parking lot.

2:31 p.m. – Caller found a vial containing a suspicious substance on the sidewalk in front of McDonald’s, 2000 Main St. Item seized for disposal.

2:36 p.m. – Carrie Rose Lee, 34, arrested on Marion County warrant for misdemeanor possession of heroin and Linn County warrant for failure to appear on a citation, 1241 23rd Ave., Cascade Village. Cited and released.

2:40 p.m. – Laura Jean Lewis, 32, cited for failure to stop before entering the roadway in a two-vehicle crash, Main Street at Umpqua Bank.

2:50 p.m. – Caller reported she was taken in by a scammer, 4300 block of Airport Road. No money was lost. Information noted.

5:15 p.m. – Terri Kay McMahon, 61, cited for driving while suspended, driving uninsured and operating a vehicle while using a mobile communication device, and Veronica Lynn Schmidt, 29, cited on a Sweet Home warrant for harassment, 400 block of Terrace Lane. Caller had reported a couple with open containers and a baby in the back of a blue car.

5:27 p.m. – Caller found a Lab-pit bull mix, 1300 block of Fern. Placed in kennel. Dog control advised.

6:59 p.m. – Julie Anne North, 40, cited and released in field for failure to report as a sex offender, 2210 Tamarack St., mill property. Caller had reported a tent behind her property. Officer located a couple and a child. The adults were trespassed from the location. The Department of Human Services was notified of the living conditions, and the child was left with a friend for the night.
