10:33 a.m. – Caller reported squatters living in a shed, 400 block of 10th. Officer contacted two subjects who had permission to be at the location.
10:50 a.m. – Caller reported that someone took out a loan in his wife’s name, 3300 block of Juniper. Report taken.
11:04 a.m. – Caller reported a boat parked on the street for more than a month, 4100 block of Osage. Referred to code enforcement.

6:32 a.m. – Caller reported that people have been sleeping in her backyard in blackberry bushes, and her bicycle was missing, 3100 block of Main. Report taken for theft. Loss valued at $40.

10:37 a.m. – Caller reported a boat coming loose from a hitch and the boat was on Highway 228. Officer unable to locate boat from city limits to Holley.

12:30 a.m. – Officer located a bicycle in front of Downtown Lounge, 1234 Main St. Placed in found property.
9:36 a.m. – Caller reported that the neighbor’s dogs are constantly barking, 1900 block of 37th Circle. Officer did not hear dogs upon arrival and was unable to contact owners. Officer observed two sheep and possibly six dogs. Information forwarded to code enforcement.
2:10 p.m. – Jesse Lane Davis, 20, cited and released on Albany warrant for failure to comply on original charge of third-degree theft, Highway 228 and Fourth.
4:27 p.m. – Buzz Starr Dodson Jr., 18, cited for no license and driving uninsured, Hoy’s Hardware. Vehicle impounded.
5:13 p.m. – Darlin Allegra Willard, 22, arrested for second-degree disorderly conduct, First and Highway 228. Cited, held for detox and released. Caller had reported an intoxicated female who refused a ride from the caller and left westbound on Highway 228.
11:35 p.m. – Caller reported two dogs were barking excessively, 2400 block of Harding. Officer responded and heard dogs barking. Officer attempted to contact owner, but the owner was not home.

12:34 a.m. – Steven Lee Ballweber, 27, arrested on Linn County Justice Court warrant for probation violation on original charge of distribution of meth and failure to appear on original charge of fourth-degree assault and a new charge of felon in possession of a restricted weapon, 18th Avenue near electrical substation. Transported to Linn County Jail.
1:50 p.m. – Caller reported someone hitting a sign and power pole with a silver Dodge and then leaving the scene of the crash, west of the intersection of Long Street and Highway 228. Police obtained vehicle information and are continuing their investigation.
2:11 a.m. – Amanda Rae Stafford, 40, arrested on Linn County warrant for probation violation on original charge of possession of meth and Sweet Home warrant for failure to appear on original charge of disorderly conduct, 1540 Main St., Safeway. Transported to Linn County Jail.
2:54 a.m. – Steven Scott Sims, 33, arrested on Sweet Home warrant for failure to appear on original charge of third-degree theft, Eugene. Cited and released.
10:45 a.m. – Caller reported a disturbance, 1200 block of 23rd. Report taken for criminal mischief.
11:14 a.m. – Caller reported a dead cat in the middle of the road, 4100 block of Main. Officer picked up and disposed of the animal.

2:58 a.m. – Alejandro Martinez Arciniega, 21, arrested on Sweet Home warrant for failure to appear on original charge of second-degree disorderly conduct, Albany.
9:03 a.m. – Caller reported several subjects sitting at a picnic table smoking, Sankey Park. Caller was unsure what they were smoking. Officer responded and contacted three subjects. Two were juveniles, who were sent back to school. The third was a subject using a vape pen and of appropriate age.
10:25 a.m. – Caller reported a vehicle parked in the middle of the road with no one around, 300 block of Seventh. Officer responded. Inoperable vehicle removed from roadway.
10:54 a.m. – Trevor Paul Webb, 23, cited for dog at large, 13th and Poplar. Officer had been flagged down for a report of an aggressive pit bull running loose.
8:25 p.m. – Caller reported that someone online is extorting money from him, 28000 block of Reynolds. Officer spoke with the caller and determined that the extortionist is from another country. Officer provided options for dealing with the matter. Information noted.
April 27
7:47 a.m. – Caller reported a motor vehicle collision, Highway 228 at the city limits. Report taken. No citation issued. Welcome to Sweet Home sign damaged. Driver was Micah Woody, 18, who reported a vehicle malfunction caused the crash.
11:24 a.m. – William Gene Lazard, 18, arrested for first-degree criminal trespass, 800 Second Ave. Cited and released.
11:35 a.m. – Sirena Marie Patricio, 24, arrested on Sweet Home warrant for failure to appear on original charge of second-degree theft, Linn County. Cited and released.
1:46 p.m. – Louis Bradford Phillips, 56, cited and released in field on Sweet Home warrant for failure to comply on original charge of open storage, 40th and Main.
4:35 p.m. – Michelle Kimberly Ray, 25, arrested on Lebanon warrant for contempt of court and Linn County warrant for failure to appear on original charge of possession of meth and failure to appear on a citation, 2230 Main St. Transported to Linn County Jail.

8:25 a.m. – Vernon Aulby Griffith Jr., 36, arrested for unlawful possession of a firearm, 1241 23rd Ave. Cited and released. Caller had reported a male threatening her and her boyfriend with a gun.
1:23 p.m. – Caller reported she is missing some prescription medication, 1600 block of 20th. Report taken for theft. Loss valued at $6.66.
2:12 p.m. – Caller reported that his daughter is receiving harassing phone calls from an ex-boyfriend. Report taken.
4:09 p.m. – Caller reported being a victim of tax fraud, 30000 block of Sodaville Mountain Road. His W-2 was stolen. The data breach occurred in New York. Someone tried to order a copy of his taxes. Report taken.
4:40 p.m. – Caller reported fraudulent use of a credit card, 1200 block of 49th. Report taken.
5:57 p.m. – Officer responded to a fire call, 1200 block of 47th. Homeowner was clearing brush, and it caught fire.
7:59 p.m. – Jimmie Lee Barton, 42, arrested on Sweet Home warrant for failure to appear on two original charges of third-degree theft, Lebanon. Transported to Linn County Jail.
April 25
6:42 a.m. – Caller reported vehicles had been vandalized, 1800 block of Main. Report taken.
8:23 a.m. – Caller turned in herself on a Linn County warrant for failure to appear on original charge of driving under the influence, 1950 Main St., Sweet Home Police Department. Cited and released.
10:28 a.m. – Caller reported a female sleeping behind her business, 1300 block of Main. Officer responded. Subject gone upon officer arrival.
12:07 p.m. – Caller reported that a mail carrier hit a dog, and the dog’s owner assaulted the mail carrier, 41000 block of Port. When the mail carrier tried to alert the owner that the dog had been hit, the owner ran out of the house yelling at the mail carrier. As the mail carrier was trying to leave, the caller said that the owner jumped in front of her to prevent her from pulling away. The dog’s owner was struck as the mail carrier fled, resulting in some scratches to her torso. Report taken. No charges at this time.
12:21 p.m. – Daniel Eugene McCarty, 56, turned in himself on a Linn County warrant for failure to appear on original charge of felony driving while revoked, 1950 Main St. Transported to Linn County Jail.
12:29 p.m. – Caller reported watching a drug deal happen, 1300 block of Long. Information passed on to drug detective.

April 24
2:26 p.m. – Caller reported that while he was in line at Dutch Bros., 604 Main St., a female hit his trailer with her car, pulled around and then left. No damage to the caller’s trailer, but the caller wanted it noted in case of any issues.
3:46 p.m. – Dustin Kyle Coughran, 26, arrested on Sweet Home warrant for failure to appear on original charge of third-degree theft, 1237 Nandina St. Transported to Linn County Jail.
April 23
12:48 a.m. – Caller said a female hit her in the face and lit her ID on fire at Ball Cat & Backhoe Service. She was not taken to the hospital. Deputies are investigating.
10:34 a.m. – Caller from the 2100 block of Cedar said neighbor’s dogs are constantly allowed to run at large. Caller has tried talking to the neighbors about it, it continues. A deputy went out but he didn’t see any dogs running around. He tried to contact the caller but they didn’t answer the phone.
6:47 p.m. – Ronald Farley, 53, arrested for driving under the influence and cited for using an invalid license and refusing a breath test, 43300 block of North River Dr.
7:48 p.m. – Caller reported a deer had been hit, 42200 block of Ames Creek. Deputy dispatched wounded deer.
April 20
1:51 a.m. – Sweet Home Police Department had a call from Foster RV park of gunshots from the direction of the lake. Deputies checked the area but were unable to locate anything.
2:31 p.m. – Caller reported a vehicle not maintaining the speed limit almost ran her over near Holley Elementary School.
4:23 p.m. – Caller reported guns being fired, 28600 block of Jones. He said the rounds went near his wife. Deputy responded. Subjects were target shooting and were doing so lawfully.
4:28 p.m. – Caller reported someone broke into the caller’s house, 42600 block of Upper Calapooia. The caller was reporting squatters on the property and that they caused some damage to windows. Deputy unable to locate anyone there. Report taken.
