May 7

4:42 a.m. – Eric James Elmer, 43, arrested for second-degree criminal mischief, second-degree criminal trespass and possession of meth, 3224 Main St., South Fork manufactured home park. Cited and released.

4:46 a.m. – Caller reported a female screaming in pain, 3200 block of Main. Medics responded and treated female. Officer responded. Female had been involved in a bicycle crash.

7:51 a.m. – Caller reported a van with no plates had been parked on the street for several weeks, 600 block of Fourth. Officer contacted the registered owner, who said the vehicle is driven daily, he just received the plates and will be putting the plates on.

9:07 a.m. – The pastor at Holley Church said someone threw a safe in their garbage. It looks like someone had broken into it. A box with a bunch of candy other items was also in the garbage. Deputy seized the box, candy and safe.

2:29 p.m. – Tony Bowman, 52, arrested for felony fourth-degree assault (domestic violence), 27100 block of High Deck. Caller had reported a male kicked the caller in the stomach after he pushed her down. The caller said the male attempted to take the caller’s son, but the caller still has her son. The male reportedly threatened to come back and take her son. Bowman transported to Linn County Jail.

2:46 p.m. – Jeffrey Michael Clark, 46, arrested on Sweet Home warrant for failure to appear on original charge of second-degree disorderly conduct, Lane County. Cited and released.

3:08 p.m. – Caller reported her car had been hit in the parking lot, 1540 Main St., Safeway. Report taken.

5:18 p.m. – Caller reported that juveniles threw a boomerang and it hit her house, 900 block of 14th. She said she wouldn’t return it until the juveniles’ parents speak to her. Officer responded and counseled juveniles. Boomerang returned.

6:03 p.m. – Caller reported that she located a dog running loose, Sweet Home area. Dog placed in kennel and later released to owner.

11:06 p.m. – Caller reported an intoxicated female walking east, and the caller was concerned she may fall into oncoming traffic, 2400 block of Main. Officer responded and gave the female a courtesy transport to her residence.

11:52 p.m. – Caller reported that someone stole jewelry from her purse inside her vehicle on May 3, 1540 Main St., Safeway. Report taken.

May 6

3:31 a.m. – Savannah Kaylynn Nunn, 24, arrested for first-degree theft, 1530 Tamarack St., Mountain Shadows. Caller had reported a female breaking into his house and getting into his safe.

10:34 a.m. – Caller reported an abandoned car with expired tags parked on the street for several months, Third and Juniper. Vehicle posted for removal.

12:50 p.m. – Caller reported that someone attempted to kick in the door, tore up the yard and dumped garbage on the property, 28100 Ridgeway Road. Caller is the real estate agent for the bank. The house is empty and foreclosed on. Several household items were dumped at location. Report taken.

3:25 p.m. – Andrew Edwin Amundson, 28, arrested for restraining order violation, 1526 53rd Ave. Transported to Linn County Jail.

3:35 p.m. – Caller found a male black and red Rotweiller mix, 39600 block of Mountain Home. Caller was able to keep the dog at her residence until an owner was found. Caller wanted to keep the dog if an owner is not found but wanted this documented in case the owner called in looking for the dog. Caller said she would take it to a local vet sometime soon to check for a chip.

4:27 p.m. – Caller reported a theft, 1540 Main St., Safeway. Information noted.

6:09 p.m. – Caller reported slashed tires on multiple vehicles, 2500 block of Long. Information noted. Loss valued at $100.

8:43 p.m. – Toddy Buddy James Waterman, 34, arrested for failure to register as a sex offender and on Sweet Home warrant for failure to appear on original charges of second-degree disorderly conduct and misdemeanor driving while suspended, 1820 Fir St. Cited and released.

May 5

3:40 a.m. – Caller reported a male pushing a garbage can down the road, 4200 block of Main. Officer contacted a male who was moving a large carpet and planned to return the garbage can.

8:16 a.m. – Devin Andrew Shrum, 28, arrested for fourth-degree assault (domestic violence), 33594 Highway 20. Transported to Linn County Jail.

9:20 a.m. – Caller reported a tool box taken from a truck during the night, 1530 Tamarack St., Mountain Shadows. Report taken.

10:04 a.m. – Caller reported that her ex and his mother were yelling obscenities at her as she walked by their house, 800 block of Oak Terrace. Report to be forwarded to district attorney for review.

11:13 a.m. – Caller reported a homeless camp by the South Hills Trail near 10th Avenue. Officer contacted two males and advised them they could not stay on the property. They agreed to move along.

1:24 p.m. – One caller reported a male hitting a female. Another reported a male had a kid pinned to the ground, and another reported that a male had a female on the ground, Ninth and Dogwood. Report taken for fourth-degree assault (domestic violence).

1:57 p.m. – Two-vehicle crash, 1100 block of Main. Officer assisted drivers in exchanging information. No injuries. No citations.

3:25 p.m. – Joseph Rafael Gutierrez, 34, arrested for second-degree criminal trespass and possession of meth and on Linn County warrants probation violation on original charges of felon in possession of a weapon, third-degree assault and two counts of failure to appear.

6:06 p.m. – Caller received a check in the mail and he believed that it may be fraudulent, 26900 block of Old Holley. He had posted a some honey bees for sale on Craigslist and had a potential buyer. He said that things were getting a little weird and bowed out of the sale, but the person from Oklahoma sent a check anyway. The check was for $2,100, but the caller was only asking $500 for the bees. The person wanted him to send the difference.

8:45 p.m. – Tanner Lee Lester, 26, cited and released in field on Sweet Home warrant for failure to comply on original charge of third-degree theft, 12th and Kalmia.

8:58 p.m. – Caller reported that a male who was prohibited from being at the location just showed up again, 1300 block of 47th. Report taken.

May 4

6:49 a.m. – Caller reported a stray dog, 500 block of Main. Prior to officer arrival, caller reported that the dog’s owner was nearby. Dispatch advised the caller on proper use of 9-1-1.

9:25 a.m. – Caller found a stroller, 1980 Main St., Bi-Mart. Placed in found property.

9:52 a.m. – Caller reported a stray dog, 3200 block of Long. Dog placed in kennel. Owner picked up dog.

10:27 a.m. – Caller reported that a motor home and two cars have been parked for at least two weeks without permission, 4500 block of Main. Officer responded. Negative contact. A neighbor agreed to call back if the neighbor heard them around again.

10:50 a.m. – Jeremy Joseph McCormick, 41, arrested for second-degree criminal mischief, 1950 Main St., Sweet Home Police Department. Transported to Linn County Jail.

11:05 a.m. – Caller reported two stray dogs, 1300 block of 19th. Dogs placed in kennel. Animal control advised.

12:55 p.m. – Caller reported a female being abusive toward a dog, 1140 12th Ave., City Hall. Officer contacted the owner and advised her of the complaint. She denied the allegations. The dog did not appear to have any injuries.

1:27 p.m. – Mackenzie Erin Way, 24, arrested on Sweet Home warrant for failure to appear on original charge of driving under the influence, Marion County. Cited and released.

8:10 a.m. – Caller located a cell phone on the sidewalk in front of Dairy Queen, 1364 Main St. Black Samsung returned to owner.

8:49 p.m. – Phillip Thomas Swartz, 30, arrested for misdemeanor driving while suspended, 4199 Main St. Cited and released.

11:02 p.m. – Caller reported a dog at McDonald’s, 2000 Main St. Police took custody of dog and advised Animal Control.

May 3

1 a.m. – Mark Daniel Guiley, 26, arrested on Sweet Home warrant for failure to appear on original charge of third-degree theft, Jackson County. Cited and released.

3:12 p.m. – Steven Scott Sims, 34, arrested on Sweet Home warrant for failure to appear on original charge of third-degree theft, Eugene. Cited and released.

7:42 a.m. – Caller reported a female staggering into the roadway, milepost 20 on Highway 228. Officer responded and contacted a female who appeared stable. She was collecting cans. Officer advised her to stay off the roadway.

2:26 p.m. – Caller reported a neighbor had a shipping container in the yard, 1600 block of Cedar. Referred to code enforcement.

2:48 p.m. – A deputy responded to a report of three stray horses in the area of Scott Mountain Radio Tower. Once near the tower, the deputy located the three horses in a large cleared unit below the tower a short distance. One was red in color. One was a white gelding with an infected left eye, and one was brown with a light colored mane. It looked like a small draft horse and was approximately 14 hands high. Two deputies were able to catch the white horse with a bad eye and then set up a corral to catch the other. Report taken.

3:25 p.m. – Caller reported a neighbor is throwing diapers out the back door, and they’re piling up, 1600 block of Cedar. Referred to code enforcement.

3:25 p.m. – Caller reported her vehicle had been hit in the Safeway parking lot on April 29. Report taken. Loss valued at $160.

4:03 p.m. – Caller reported being scammed, 5400 block of Poplar. Information noted.

6:18 p.m. – Caller reported blackberries growing over the fence, 1400 block of Meadowlark. Referred to code enforcement.

8:51 p.m. – Caller found a bag full of clothes in the bushes, 1400 block of Long. Placed in found property.

11:27 p.m. – Allen Dale Ensley, 28, cited and released in field on Linn County warrant for failure to appear on original charge of driving under the influence, and Deborah Rae Kelly, 58, cited and released in field on Lane County warrant for probation violation on original charge of burglary, 1641 Long St., Sweet Home High School.

May 2

1:52 a.m. – Linn County Sheriff’s Office reported that medics were en route to 1530 Tamarack St., Mountain Shadows for a head injury. The female reported that her husband hit her over the head with a cup. Report taken. Investigation continuing.

9:08 a.m. – Caller reported that a neighbor has enclosed his deck with wood, 1530 Tamarack St., Mountain Shadows. Referred to code enforcement.

6:34 a.m. – Caller reported that her boyfriend hit her in the head and threw her things on the ground, 4200 block of Long. Report taken for harassment.

12:24 p.m. – Caller reported a truck and utility trailer parked on the street for an extended period, 300 block of Holley Road. Code enforcement officer left a courtesy notice on the vehicle.

1 p.m. – Linn County Sheriff’s Office reported a male shot himself in the head, 900 block of Dogwood. Sweet Home police investigated. Report taken. No further action.

1:16 p.m. – Caller reported that someone broke into and destroyed mailboxes, 3224 Main St., South Fork manufactured home park.

1:56 p.m. – Caller reported multiple vehicles parked in a front yard, trash in a front yard and persons living in an RV, 4800 block of Main. Referred to code enforcement.

3:14 p.m. – Albany Police Department recovered a vehicle reported stolen out of Sweet Home.

4:55 p.m. – Michael Dashawn Ferebee, 37, arrested on Baker County warrant for parole violation and Sweet Home warrant for two counts of second-degree disorderly conduct, 1530 Tamarack St., Mountain Shadows. Transported to Linn County Jail.

11:22 p.m. – Kenneth Lee Halverson, 21, arrested on Benton County warrant for failure to appear on original charges of attempting to elude a police officer, reckless driving and third-degree theft and a new charge of third-degree theft, 2405 Main St., Circle K. Caller had reported that a man who had been trespassed was in front of the store.

May 1

9:03 a.m. – Caller reported a female sleeping in the bathroom, 877 14th Ave., Sankey Park. Officer contacted the female, who agreed to move on.

9:05 p.m. – Caller reported that the tires on her daughter’s vehicle were slashed, 1600 block of 12th. Report taken. Damage valued at $122.

9:24 a.m. – Officer located a vehicle with slashed tires, 1600 block of 12th. Report taken.

10:07 a.m. – Caller reported that his relative’s cars were stolen, 500 block of Surrey. Investigation continuing.

10:54 a.m. – David Daniel Raymond, 43, arrested on Sweet Home warrant for failure to comply on original charge of initiating a false report, Pendleton. Cited and released.

11:29 a.m. – Caller reported two stray dogs, 1300 block of Elm. Dogs placed in kennel and later released to owner.

12:23 p.m. – Caller reported a suspicious vehicle in front of her house, 1700 block of Fir. Officer responded, tagged vehicle for removal and seized the license plates.

12:29 p.m. – Multiple callers report a dog barking all day, 1700 block of Dogwood. Officer attempted to contact the owner and left a business card.

2:51 p.m. – Caller reported two small children left alone in a vehicle, 1540 Main St., Safeway. Officer counseled mother on her actions.

3:47 p.m. – Caller reported his girlfriend left her phone on the shuttle bus. Report taken for second-degree theft. Loss valued at $200.

7:29 p.m. – Damon Steven Card, 34, arrested on Lincoln County warrant for failure to appear on original charge of fourth-degree assault and two original charges of harassment, 1914 19th Ave. Cited and released.
