Nov. 23

6:20 a.m. – Caller reported tools and other items stolen, 1500 block of Tamarack. Report taken.

8:49 a.m. – John Marian Gillespie, 54, arrested on Sweet Home warrant for failure to appear on original charge of third-degree theft, Grants Pass. Cited and released.

9:15 a.m. – Caller turned in a keyring with multiple keys found on the sports field behind Sweet Home High School, 1641 Long St. Placed in found property

9:26 a.m. – Caller reported people living in an RV, 500 block of Surrey Lane. Referred to code enforcement.

9:43 a.m. – Caller reported a dog constantly barking, 3400 block of Juniper. Referred to code enforcement.

11:38 a.m. – Caller brought in a scooter he found on the street, 1900 block of Main. Placed in found property.

11:52 a.m. – Caller reported the theft of Lottery tickets, 890 Main St., U.S. Mini Mart. Report taken. Loss valued at more than $100.

Nov. 22

12:04 a.m. – Carrie Kay Samson, 36, cited for no license and driving uninsured, Greenville and Highway 228.

4:17 a.m. – Julia Rose Trietsch, 25, arrested on Sweet Home warrant for failure to appear on original charge of second-degree criminal trespass, Lebanon. Cited and released.

4:19 p.m. – Byron Gene Marsh, 60, cited for driving while suspended, 1300 block of 19th.

8:15 p.m. – Terry Lynn Ballweber, 51, cited and released in field on Linn County Justice Court warrrant for probation violation, 1333 Clark Mill Road, Sunshine Industries.

11:50 p.m. – Brian Daniel Watkins, 42, cited for driving while suspended, 1540 Main St., Safeway.

Nov. 21

11:14 a.m. – Caller reported that someone hit his truck and did not advise him. Report taken.

1:31 p.m. – Caller reported that someone has started a credit card using his information, 400 block of Nandina. Information noted.

2:36 p.m. – Chance Wade Smith, 18, cited for no license and driving uninsured, 1100 block of Long.

3:48 p.m. – Officer located a vacuum, 12th and Elm. Placed in found property.

8:35 p.m. – Cody Michael Lobdell, 19, arrested on four counts of identity theft, second-degree theft, third-degree theft, computer crime and two counts of unauthorized entry into a motor vehicle, Towne Pump. Transported to Linn County Jail.

10:10 p.m. – Caller reported his bicycle was just stolen, 1540 Main St., Safeway. Report taken. Loss valued at $40.

Nov. 20

10:27 a.m. – Caller reported that the neighbor’s dog barks constantly, 300 block of Ironwood. Referred to code enforcement.

11:11 a.m. – Vehicle stolen on Oct. 17 recovered, 1200 block of 40th.

4:48 p.m. – Caller reported a pit bull running loose again, 2900 block of Harding. The caller said the dog has been aggressive in the past. Officer responded. No one home at location. Officer left card for contact.

8:31 p.m. – Rhonda Denise McElroy, 62, cited for driving while suspended and driving uninsured, 800 block of Eighth.

Nov. 19

7:16 a.m. – Sean Wayne Swaney, 15, taken into custody for reckless burning in connection to the fire at the former Sweet Home Mill, 2210 Tamarack St., on Oct. 30. Referred to Juvenile Department and released to parents.

9:49 a.m. – Caller reported that when she had returned home, her boyfriend had trashed her property, 1200 block of Nandina. Report taken.

12:20 p.m. – Maureen Carol Conneely, 57, cited and released in field for third-degree criminal mischief, 1530 Tamarack St., Mountain Shadows.

12:31 p.m. – Caller reported a dog running in the middle of the highway, Third and Holley. Dog taken to the Police Department to await pickup by Linn County Dog Control.

12:59 p.m. – Caller reported medication missing, 2400 block of Long. Report taken.

1:47 p.m. – Caller turned in items left on a bus, 1950 Main St., Sweet Home Police Department. Placed in found property.

4:51 p.m. – Mackenzie Erin Way, 23, turned in herself on a Sweet Home warrant for failure to appear on original charge of driving under the influence, 1950 Main St., Sweet Home Police Department. Transported to Linn County Jail.

4:56 p.m. – Daniel Joseph Carrico, 31, arrested on Lebanon warrants for failure to appear on original charge of second-degree theft and contempt of court and Sweet Home warrants for failure to appear on original charges of second-degree criminal mischief and third-degree theft, Edgewater RV.

5:55 p.m. – Chara Mae Tagen, 23, arrested for fraudulent use of a credit card, computer crime and second-degree theft, 1950 Main St., Sweet Home Police Department. Cited and released.

8:17 p.m. – Caller reported someone just shot a deer in front of his driveway, 1000 block of 43rd. Officer responded. Unable to locate vehicle. Located a deer that may have been injured but was walking away from the area.

9:42 p.m. – Robert Julius Nielson Jr., 55, arrested on Yamhill County warrant for failure to appear on original charges of fourth-degree assault and harassment, Long Street. Caller had reported someone sleeping or passed out in a vehicle. Transported to Linn County Jail.

Nov. 18

7:31 a.m. – Caller reported finding a syringe on the sidewalk, 2405 Main St., Circle K. Officer disposed of the item.

8:13 a.m. – Caller reported his wife lost $4,000 somewhere in town. Information noted.

9:59 a.m. – Wendy Marie Volkers, 34, turned in herself on an Albany warrant for failure to appear on original charge of harassment, 1950 Main St., Sweet Home Police Department. Cited in lieu of custody.

12:37 p.m. – Caller reported two dogs were running in the street, and he has them in his shop now, 2200 Main St. Dogs seized and placed into kennel, awaiting pickup by Linn County Dog Control.

1:34 p.m. – Byron Gene Marsh, 60, cited and released in field for offensive littering, 1341 19th Ave.

2:28 p.m. – Caller reported a truck full of garbage, 2400 block of Long. Referred to code enforcement.

2:40 p.m. – Caller reported a building being used as a residence, 800 block of Main. Referred to code enforcement.

3:25 p.m. – Joshua Yahi Maina, 46, arrested for driving under the influence, 1306 Main St., Main Street Market. Cited and released. Callers had reported a male driving a black car that almost hit them and pedestrians on the sidewalk.

Nov. 17

8:57 a.m. – Caller reported that someone threw a rock through a window, 900 block of Long. Report taken.

10:52 a.m. – Caller reported a garbage can overflowing onto the lawn, 300 block of Seventh. Referred to code enforcement.

2:21 p.m. – Caller reported a theft, 3041 Main St., Hoy’s Hardware. Report taken. Loss valued at $110.95.

2:22 p.m. – Caller reported persons living in an RV, 1200 block of Evergreen. Referred to code enforcement.

3:47 p.m. – Caller was in a collision at Holley School. When she and the driver exchanged information, she found out the other driver did not have insurance. The crash was non-reportable because it happened on school property and not on a roadway. The two drivers exchanged information.

4:40 p.m. – Caller reported a female violating a restraining order, 1100 block of Redwood. Report taken.

10:11 p.m. – Mehgan Necole Dean, 21, cited for driving with no license and driving uninsured, and Kenith Dell Laster III, 22, arrested for third-degree theft and failure to register as a sex offender and on a state warrant for parole violation on original charge of sexual assault, 2000 block of Main. Laster transported to Linn County Jail.

10:27 p.m. – Caller reported a bicycle and trailer stolen, 1200 12th Ave., Chewy’s. Report taken. Loss valued at $50.

Nov. 16

2:17 p.m. – Caller reported losing a phone, 800 block of Eighth. Information noted.

2:25 p.m. – Caller found a lady’s jacket in the women’s restroom, 1950 Main St., Sweet Home Police Department. Placed in found property.

3:32 p.m. – Caller reported that a bicycle was stolen in September, 900 block of Mountain View. Report taken.

4:20 p.m. – Caller reported the theft of a four-wheel bicycle, 2300 block of Harding. Report taken. Loss valued at $2,800.

9:28 p.m. – William Cortez-Campuzano, 29, arrested on state warrant for parole violation, 2200 block of Main. Transported to Linn County Jail.

Nov. 15

7:09 a.m. – Vehicle went 20 feet down an embankment, 56900 block of Highway 20. No one was injured. Everyone was out of the vehicle.

Nov. 14

9:44 a.m. – Caller heard a vehicle burning out in the 41900 block of North River Rd. since 6 a.m. He said there are people who jog and walk that road and he is concerned for them.

Nov.13

12:30 p.m. – Vehicle off the road on Ames Creek just west of Teco. Caller said there was a man flagging people down, trying to get out of the ditch. A deputy responded and there were no signs of intoxication.

Nov. 11

3:39 p.m. – Caller said the neighbors locked up his cows and he can’t get them back, 46900 block of Old Hufford. His cows followed the neighbor’s cows into the pasture area and were accidentally locked up with his. A deputy responded and talked to both parties. The caller was advised the neighbor was fine with him coming over to retrieve his cows.
